The fall of Equis IV
Escaping the unknown
Previous ChapterNext ChapterAs I woke up, I seemed to be in an ork vessel of some kind. The place was painted with their war symbols and blood which was why I was able to tell. I was strapped down to a chair with animal skin bonds. Very bad mistake for them. My gear was on a table just next to me. An even bigger mistake for them. I broke the bonds with relative ease, and walked over to my gear to get ready. I attached my plasma pistol to my waist and held my bolter just in case any orks were right outside the door. Just as I finished armoring up a sound of keys being punched in was heard. I got beside the door and readied my combat knife. The door opened and I plunged the knife through the orks eye, and into it's thick skull. It made no sound as it fell to the ground with blood spurting out of it's right eye. I put away my knife and slung out my bolter once again. I walked out of the room and tried to make out where the ship bay might be to escape. Almost the near second I turned to the right just after the exit, I heard an agonizing scream of pain. I looked to where it came from and saw another blood angel marine in a clear windowed cell with a ork cutting of his ear. I quickly burst in the cell and slammed my bolter into the back of it's head. It fell to the ground, crippled, and I shot it square in the back of the head. The marine started to talk, but was unintelligible from through his helmet. Which was weird considering that helmets were supposed to have crystal clear communications. I took his helmet off and unbound him from metal bonds. I don't know why I had leather bonds, but at least I was able to escape. "
"Thank you. I don't know how long I would've lasted with that ork scum torturing me. And for emperor's sake we need to get out of here."
"Your welcome, and I have been through many enough battles to know how to handle myself and how to get out of these places." I replied.
We walked down the corridors not running into any more orks. odd because there were usually orks every step in their ships. I found a terminal with a map of the ship and scanner. There were no ships but there were escape pods. Scans showed that there was an uncharted planet nearby that the pods could land down on. The problem was is that there are warp attuned beings on the planet. only a fraction, but definitely some. Maybe there were daemons, or chaos marines down there? who knew.
"Should we take the chance?" The marine was asking me.
"Unless you want to be ripped apart by orks, then yes we should.!"
We made our way to the escape pod bay. There were a few orks stationed there, but we took them out with ease and a few bullets to the head. I had to activate one of the pods since the other marine had no experience in that sort of thing. It took a few minutes, and the orks started to notice sending wave after wave of them. It was tough and the marine was injured, but we pulled through. I emptied the last ammunition in my clip to the orks and pulled the marine into the pod with me. Upon further scanning, and testing. I had revealed that the warp attuned beings are multicolored..... PONIES!?
