Twilight groaned, stretching her body for the morning. She was surprised when she found no magical surges sizzling her star-covered bed-sheets, and no wings pomfing and throwing the covers off of her. Despite how comfortable it was not having a migraine from the magic that was compressed into her horn, she felt that it was necessary to investigate. Opening her eyes, she used one hoof to massage her forehead. Making a mental checklist, she decided to see what was the same and what was different. Mane? Check. Coat? Check. Horn? Che- WAIT, HORN?! She began to panic, feeling around her head for any signs of the magical bit of bone, even if it was snapped in half or shrunk into a shrub. She took a big breath, then stood up and trotted over to the bathroom, careful not to awaken Spike and cause him to worry. She looked over herself and noted two things: A lack of horn, and wings. She then noticed a ripped-out piece of notebook paper. She quickly skimmed over the inked-on words:
Gotcha.
Her face flooded white. It couldn't be! Celestia hadn't done such a thing in a while. Why would she start now? Well, maybe it was somepony else -
STOP TRYING TO FREAKING CHANGE THE SUBJECT, IT WAS ME!
Ok! Ok, Celestia, stop breaking the fourth wall to yell in my face.
It must of been Celestia! Luna was too beautiful - uh, I mean, young, to know this spell... it HAD to be Celestia. Twilight's face turned red as she found herself looking to see if her cutie mark was there. Dirty mind! she thought, VERY dirty mind! Well, I'd better show Spike...
Twilight turned to the doorway only to see the small, lizard-like dragon stood there, his eyes wide, with a smashed teacup on the floor, scorching hot coffee sizzling at the scales on his feet. Twilight nervously picked him up and put him back in bed, where he happily dozed off, then grabbed an old rag from the kitchen. She scrubbed at the coffee-stains, yelping as it seeped into the rag and burned the tip of her hoof. She dumped the rag in a bucket of cold water that Spike used to wash the floor every night. She walked downstairs to see a plate covered in eggs and blueberry muffins. She placed one muffin on a plate and spooned on two eggs, and delivered them to where Spike was taking his nap. She then took a shower, smiling when she didn't have to scrub extra on her back to get the grime from flight practice the day before off.
Maybe it isn't so bad after all...
