//-------------------------------------------------------// Irontalon, a new start -by Phony15- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Oh... my //-------------------------------------------------------// Oh... my The near-freezing temperature alone was enough to make the critter shiver, but the harsh winds mercilessly enhanced the cold. It kept shuffling its feet, one in-front of the other as it tried to escape the white, wet, cold ocean surrounding it. It called out several times, its frail voice being carried by the winds and snow. Tumbling slightly, it kept it's talons and wings wrapped around itself, trying to keep what warmth it had left, desperate to not let the cold steal what it had left. It kept calling out, little high-pitched squeals trying to be a call for help. With tears in its eyes, it stumbled in the snow once more and fell down to the harshly cold whiteness as it attempted to swallow it whole. It let out one last call for help as its vision got darker in the sea of white that it was faced with, feeling a strange warmth envelop its body as it slipped into unconsciousness.                          ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fluttershy was siting in the train looking out the window not joining her friends talk, Fluttershys pink earth pony friend Pinkie noticed her sad and hoped over to her, "hey Flutt-ey what ya' doing just sitting there looking all saddy-waddy?" Fluttershy just shrugged, but then a sound hit the yellow pony's ear, it was the sound of a kaw, like a birds call but it was telling her death. Fluttershy opened the train's window and jumped out flying to the sound she heard, her friends gasped and Rainbow Dash flew out after her. "FLUTTERSHY STOP!" Rainbow Dash called after fluttershy but the yellow mare flew one to the sound ignoring the sound of her friend.                          ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After a long while of flying, and ignoring, she finally found it. The little griffin laying in the snow, Fluttershy gasped and set the  griffin on her back. She took off flying to the Crystal Empires train station, by now the train would be back there, Rainbow Dash was now not talking she was now understanding the yellow mares worries.                          ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- They landed down at the train station, Fluttershy's friends ran up to her trying to understand why she left the train. Fluttershy took the little griffin runt off her back laying it down carefully on the ground. "Oh Fluttershy i didn't know that's why you let so you saved its life?" Twilight asked. "I hope I saved it, It's so cold." Tears started to form in Fluttershy's eyes "what if i was to late? What if it is d-?" she was cut off by a weak kaw coming from the griffin. The little runt opened its eyes and seeing the ponies looking at him he curled up in a ball and just waited in tell the mares where gone. Fluttershy taped it with her muzzle whispering how its okay, after a while the runt stood up and hid behind Fluttershy's leg not just to hide from the other mares but also to get warmth from the leg Fluttershy nudged it out form under her "come on little guy there's nothing to fear." the little griffin shakily walked up to them. "Wow look at dat' ya'll its movin'! " Applejack chuckled. "Kaw ka kaw." The little griffin let out "OHMYGOSH IF IT WAS TALK BIRD-NESS THEN IT CAN HAVE A PARTY AND IF IT CAN HAVE A PARTY I CAN MAKE IT A PARTY! TIME TO MAKE A GRIFFIN BIRD PARTY!" Pinkie said in a burl of sound as she ran away in to the Crystal Empire. Twilight laughed and the group followed Pinkie's trail, the griffin laying on Fluttershy's back they where heading to pinkies party.                          ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Hey little guy are you able to speak pony words or just griffin?" Fluttershy asked the little griffin siting on a chair. The little griffin nodded "a little." Fluttershy was pretty shocked but happy about it. "Well little guy you should go have fun." Fluttershy nudged him with her nuzzle. "Okay." The griffin runt jumped off the chair and walked around, he noticed a white mare bobbing her her head to the music, it seems like the music is coming from near her but it seems loud there and her glasses scared him a bit so he did walked up to her. "Oh hi griffin-ey are you having fun? this is your party after all!" Pinkie jumped out of no where yelling to the nameless griffin. "Oh uh hey i guess it's fun." He said, pinkie looked kind of sad he wasn't to happy. "Hm oh i know a filly who you can talk to come on!" The pink pony grabbed him and threw him on her back and jumped a random way, the little griffin was clinging to her back trying not to fly off. After awhile of bouncing pinkie stoped in front of a little white filly with a dull pink mane "um you need something pinkie?" The filly said. "Oh well you know who this party is for!? well i brought the party-honor-griffin-filly-thing, you two should talk" Pinkie said as she shook the griffin off her back, he hit the ground with a thud, he stood up with a little bit of pain. "Ugh oh um hello." The griffin said kind of confused. The filly was kind of surprised to see the griffin "oh um m-my name is Sweet candy." She held out a hoof and the griffin shook it "oh um whats your name." She asked. "Well i don't have a name right now i was left to die form my parents even before i was named." The griffin looked down a bit sad. Twilight's ears flicked up and she turned to see the griffin runt and filly talking "Hm well you could call your self Irontalon!" "Uh Twilight where did you get the name Irontalon from?" The griffin runt asked the purple mare. "Oh well Irontalon was the first griffin emperor!" Twilight said a bit to excitedly making the Sweet and Irontalon chuckle.                          ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After talking a bit with Sweet, Irontalon when't to Fluttershy "hey little guy, Twilight told me about your new name its a nice name." Fluttershy said. Fluttershy's five other friends where staring down at Irontalon "Uhh why are you all looking at me." "Well." Twilight started but Rarity cut in. "Well my dear, we wanted to know if you would like to live with Fluttershy, she suggested it." The griffin nodded. "It would be great to live with Mis. Shy!" Irontalon was very happy. "Oh well thank you for being okay with it and i am sorry if i am not a good care taker." Fluttershy added "and you can just call me Flutter." The group laughed and talked and Sweet came to the group and joined in, it was a pretty great party. //-------------------------------------------------------// Ironttalon's new life in ponyville //-------------------------------------------------------// Ironttalon's new life in ponyville It was a day after the party in the crystal empire, Irontalon got off the train and looked in wonder at the new town that layer before him. The first thing he did was run around looking at all the cool pony things, his mind was filled with wonder "hey Irontalon we should head home, I got lots of little critters to show you I am just sure you will love them and they will love you! Oh my gosh I can't wait for you to met angel, I think you two will bond wel!l" the yellow mare just keeps going on about many things and Irontalon listened closely, the other's just chuckled and kept walking letting Irontalon and Fluttershy talk and walk.                               ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- before he met any pets Irontalon told Fluttershy about how he was hungry and Fluttershy looked scared "um well you cant eat my pets. so go to the plains out side of Ponyville and hunt as much as you want little guy." Irontalon nodded and with two beats of his wings he was flying to the plains.                               ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As he was flying over the plains he was searching for some kind of pray, he spotted a deer and he closed his wings falling down at the deer, right before hitting it like a arrow he got one strong flap of his wings so he was able to land on the deer's back and sink his talons in its back as it was running to get the little hunter off its back, he bit in to the deer's neck making the deer fall down dead, Irontalons started to fest of the dead body of his prey he heard a gasp and turned to see a scared rainbow haired pony, Rainbow Dash watched him kill the deer. Rainbow Dash stepped closer "that." she said before adding "was!" she stepped even closer her eyes very wide "AWESOME!" she yelled before going on a rant about how he killed it and how cool it was. the little griffin that sat there enjoying complements that were being thrown at him. after a long time of getting a lecture on coolness Rainbow Dash flew away and Irontalon flew back to Fluttershy's home who quickly wiped his beak of any blood and set him on her back trotted to her back yard where she started to show him all of her pets.                               ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now Angel and Irontalon where face to face staring at echother not in any happy or angry way, they where just looking at each other blankly "so, your a bunny?" Irontalon asked and Angel nodded "uh, what do you like to do?" Angel just shrugged. "Um well i hope you two had a good talk!" Fluttershy said coming in to the yard seeing the two looking at each other confused on what each other are. Fluttershy was just confused all around "uhh what um okay?" she walked out leaving rabbit and the griffin to keep staring at each other.                               ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Irontalon woke up in the little bed he was given, he walked in the kitchen to see a paper shoved in his face he grabbed it and moved it down to see a happy yellow mare, he looked at the paper "i am going to school?" the griffin said from what he learned from the paper, Fluttershy nodded happily "yay! thank you Fluttershy!" a warm and kind smile was on Fluttershy's face but it quickly turned to shock when Irontalon hugged her. She chuckled a bit and hugged him back then set a saddle bag on his back "lets head to school little guy." the two walked together talking about random things in tell they reached a happy looking red building. "Well just head in there and tell the teacher your new." Fluttershy said as she was walking back home, the little griffin walked in the school it seems to be called Ponyville School House not a very special name but it is a name. as the griffin walked the foals looked at him with shock, it seems griffins are not the most normal thing but not all of them where looking at him the same way, there was one filly who was smiling bright very happy to see him and he was happy to see her Sweet was siting there waving to him. he waved back and turned to the teacher. "Um hello i am Irontalon, i am new student." the teacher smiled. "Well Irontalon my name is Ms. Cheerally you can take a seat in any where open." Cheerally said as Irontalon took a seat next to Sweet who smiled at him and kept taking notes, and Irontalon took out ink, quail, paper, and began to take notes. after a long time and doing many different subjects it was play time Sweet seemed sad. "Uhh Sweet whats wrong?" the griffin said worried for his pony friend. "Well, just at play time i am alone i don't have any friends" Sweet looked down sadly but Irontalon raised her head. "Oh ya, just forget about me." Sweet look shocked making Irontalon chuckle. "No no no no! i didn't forget about you i me-" Irontalon cut her off by closing her mouth. "I understand Sweet, in any case lets play!" Irontalon said before running out to the play ground with Sweet.
