//-------------------------------------------------------// The Seventh Pony -by Purechaos123- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Episode 1- Mare in the Moon //-------------------------------------------------------// Episode 1- Mare in the Moon I awoke from a haunting sleep. I don't know if it only happens to me, but whenever I sleep swell, I get bombarded by nightmares. This time, the nightmare was about some sort of darkness swallowing Equestria. It was kind of ironic, today was the Summer Sun Celebration, a celebration of the longest day of the year. However, this Summer Sun Celebration was different. It was the thousandth year of the Summer Sun Celebration, making it an extra special celebration. I got out of my bed and gazed into the mirror. There I was, Midnight Smoke, a coat of gray, a mane of black, and a horn, that was me. It was nothing truly special. I made my way downstairs and opened my door. Out here was the most dazzling village anypony has ever laid eyes on, Ponyville. Right in the center was the town hall, a marvelous building that rose about two stories high. It was currently being decorated with flags and banners for the Summer Sun Celebration. Around the town hall were multiple houses, all painted different colors, but the interiors of all of them were the same. It was also a peaceful village, no one ever tried to break into each others houses, and most of the time ponies treated other ponies with respect. It was for  these reasons that I had moved here many years ago. I walked outside of my door with high expectations for this day. I looked into the sky to find that there were still clouds in the sky. Whoever pony's job it was to clear the sky, they were doing a really bad job of it. Suddenly, a rainbow colored pony rose across the sky and started dashing through the clouds. I stared in awe at this pony. She was flying about the sky clearing clouds from the sky like it was no problem. When she was done, there was not one cloud hanging above Ponyville. I took back what I said earlier about the weather pony not doing a good job of clearing the clouds, that pegasus had done a wonderful job of it, and it only took about ten seconds. After this amazing scene, I walked through Ponyville. Everypony was preparing for the celebration. Ponies ran to the town hall, despite the fact that that the celebration wouldn't take place for a couple of hours. I couldn't blame them, it was the only time of the year where the citizens got to publicly see Princess Celestia. I heard my stomach growl, and decided that I should get something to eat, don't want to pass out from starvation in front of the princess. I decided to head over to Sweet Apple Acres, a small apple farm on the western side of Ponyville. I had never been there in my whole time of living in Ponyville, which is awkward, since it is a pretty famous business here in Ponyville. On the way to Sweet Apple Acres, I passed by what looked like some sort of beauty shop. When I looked at it, I saw a purple pony tip-toeing out of the shop. On her back was a baby dragon. What had happened in that beauty shop that would cause somepony to want to escape? I shook the thought away. I just needed to get an apple at Sweet Apple Acres, that was all. I continued on my way, passing by many other ponies and walking along the dirt road. After a long walk, I finally reached the hill going up to Sweet Apple Acres. It was a beautiful red barn rising high into the sky. Everywhere you looked there were apple trees, that's what got this place its name after allwereThere was an Orange Pony manning a stand outside of the barn. I walked up to the pony and got my bits ready. "Excuse me" I said. The pony turned around "Hello there partner, what can I do for you on this fine day?" She asked. She was orange and wore a western hat. "I would like one apple please." "Coming right up!" She hit a barrel filled with apples with her hooves, causing one apple to jump out and land on the stand. I stared at her in awe. "How did you do that?" I asked in amazemant "Oh it's nothing, I do it all the time here at Sweet Apple Acres!" She exclaimed "Okay, well how much do you want for this apple?" I asked. She stared at me like I had spoken a foreign language. A smile quickly lit up her face though. "Oh, you can have this one on the house, sugarcube!" "Really, thanks!" I exclaimed. "You are welcome!" she said I picked up the apple  using my magic and began to chow down on the apple. It was the sweetest thing I had ever tasted. It took me shorter than I expected to finish off the apple, I guess I was  very hungry. I walked back down the hill, leaving the rolling hills of Sweet Apple Acres behind. There were still a couple of hours before the Summer Sun Celebration, and I could find nothing else to do. "Maybe... Maybe I should talk to some ponies," I said aloud. I was startled by a voice from above. "Talking to yourself?" After recovering from the shock, I looked up to see that it was a rainbow pegasus. She looked vaguely familiar. "Are you the pony that cleared the sky earlier today?" I asked. "Yes I am," answered the mare, "I'm Rainbow Dash, whats your name?" "Why should I tell you my name if I barely know you?" I questioned "Well, I told you my name," said the pony sarcastically, "So you should tell me your name!" "Yeah , well what if your just a spy!" I yelled. The mare got a stern look in her eyes. "Okay, I've only talked to you for two seconds, and now you accuse me of being a spy!" "Yes, that's right!" "Why would I be a spy?" "Because I've barely seen you here and I've been here for 3 years," I said, "You were probably talking to your spy friends all of that time!" "That's it!". Rainbow Dash went into a nosedive in an attempt to hit me. I did the only logical thing that came to mind, a teleportation spell. I used some of my energy to successfully teleport myself a little ways away from where I had stood before. The pony landed in a pile of mud. I let out a laugh. "That's not funny!" she yelled. She flew up high in the sky and attempted another nosedive. I did another teleportation spell, only this time, the mare anticipated it. She turned, and went directly towards me. She hit me, and I was blown back into a tree. "Now that's funny!" said Rainbow dash, laughing. I needed to stop this. If I continued, I would only end up with more injuries. I imagined Ponyville town hall, and concentrated all of my energy into a teleportation spell to get me there. I saw a sudden flash, and I was next to the Ponyville town hall. . I held my hoof to my head, I had gotten a headache from using all of my energy to cast the spell. After it went away, I breathed a sigh of relief. That was going to get ugly if I hadn't done that spell. I decided to head back to my house, there were still a couple hours of daylight left, and I was exhausted after that fight with Rainbow Dash. When I got to my house, I noticed a card lying on the entrance mat. On the card were big pink words saying, "Party Invitation!" I opened it and read it. Hello everypony! There's a new pony in town, and I want everyone to meet her! Come to the library, but be quick, she'll be here soon! Pinkie Pie I looked at the invitation, and thought of what I should do in my mind. I wanted to go to sleep, but this party might be my chance to meet someponies. I made up my mind. I would go to this party, and try to make some friends. The invitation said that it was at a library, and I knew that there was a library in town, but it was closed down since no one lived there, and there was no one to take care of the books. If this new pony was living there, that meant I could learn some new magic spells! I was very lacking in my knowledge of magic, despite being a unicorn. I walked away from my door and went to the library. I opened the door to find the lights off. Huh, that was strange. Maybe this wasn't the library. Suddenly, lights came on. "SURPRISE!" yelled a huge crowd of ponies. There was a pink one with three balloons for a cutie mark in the middle of all the ponies. "Oh never mind, it's not her" said the pink pony, surprisingly enthusiastically, despite the fact that I was not the pony she was hoping for. "Uh, is this the library?" I asked. "Well of course it is, silly!" she said, "Would this be a library if there weren't so many books here?" she asked. She was right. The main room was a circular room cut into a tree. To the right were some stairs which led up stairs to what looked like a bedroom. "I guess you're right, but I came here for the party, not the library," I said. "Okay then, get in the crowd, I think she's coming!" She switched off the lights and got into her place. I heard the sound of a door opening, and noticed some light coming from where the door was standing. I noticed a pony and a small baby dragon walk in the door. "Huh, rude much?" said the dragon sarcastically. "Sorry Spike, but I have to convince the Princess that Nightmare Moon is coming and we're running out of time," said the pony nervously, "I just need to be alone so I can study without a bunch of crazy ponies trying to make friends all the time," I'm pretty sure some members of the party took offense to that, "Now wheres the lights?" After saying that, the pink pony turned on the lights. "SURPRISE!" Everypony, including me, yelled. I noticed that the pony was the same pony that had sneaked away from the beauty shop. She got an annoyed look on her face. The pink pony suddenly ran up to her. "Hi I'm Pinkie Pie, and I threw this party just for you!" said the pink pony,"Were you surprised, were you, were you, huh huh huh?" "Very suprised," said the purple pony,"Libraries are supposed to be quiet!" Pinkie Pie let out a giggle "That's silly, what kind of welcome party would this be if it were quiet!" exclaimed Pinkie Pie,"I mean, duh, BORING!" The Purple pony started walking away, but Pinkie followed,"You see, I saw you when you first got here, remember. you were all 'Hello' and I was all," Pinkie let out a gasp, "Remember?, you see, I never saw you before and if I never saw you that means you're new!" she continued,"Cause I know every pony, and I mean everypony," the purple pony let out a groan,"and if your new, it meant that you hadn't met anyone yet, and if you haven't met anyone yet, you must not have any friends, and if you don't have any friends then you must be lonely, and that made me so sad, and I had an idea, so that's why I went,"  the purple pony had clearly lost interest in the conversation, and had started pouring a drink in a cup. Pinkie let out another gasp, "so I thought' I'll just throw a great big ginormous super-duper spectacular welcome party and invite everyone in Ponyville' see, and now you have lots and lots of friends!" A group of ponies had gathered together, and I noticed the pony who sold me the apple, and the rainbow colored pony who I fought with. I decided to duck further back in the crowd, so she didn't notice me. The purple pony suddenly looked surprised and stopped sipping her drink. When she turned around, her mouth was red. "Are you alright sugarcube?" Said the pony that had sold me the apple. The purple pony suddenly dashed away, and went up the stairs. "Awww, she's so happy she's crying!" said Pinkie Pie. Spike picked up the bottle that the pony had dropped. "Hot sauce" He read. Pinkie Pie reached towards the bottle, and tipped it over. It got onto one of the cupcakes that had been laid out. Pinkie Pie picked up the cupcake with the hot sauce on it, and ate it. "This is good!", said Pinkie Pie with her mouth full. I don't know exactly how many hours I was at the party, but I didn't get spotted by the rainbow pony and the purple pony didn't come out until it was time to go to the Summer Sun Celebration, to watch the sun rise. Everypony filed into the town hall excitedly, anxiously awaiting the moment when the sun would rise and the celebration would begin. I decided to sit far away from any of the ponies that I had met at the party, okay I didn't really meet anyone, but I thought I could use some time away from all of those ponies. Suddenly, a chorus of chirping swept its way through the crowd. I looked up to see a yellow pony with pink hair directing the birds. Her cutie mark was a trio of butterflies. A spotlight shone down on where the mayor of Ponyville was standing. "Fillies and gentlecoats!" The mayor began, "it is my great pleasure to announce the beginning of the Summer Sun Celebration!" Everypony cheered. "In just a few moments, our town will witness the magic of the sunrise, and celebrate this, the longest day of the year! And now, it is my great honor to introduce to you the ruler of our land, the very pony who gives us the sun and the moon each and every day, the good, the wise, the bringer of harmony to all of Equestria, Princess Celestia!" The spotlight shone on the balcony above, and the curtains opened to reveal.... nothing. A confused gasp swept through the crowd. A white pony with purple hair investigated the balcony, "She's gone!" She exclaimed. An even louder gasp swept the crowd this time. "Remain calm, everypony, I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation for this!" said the mayor. Suddenly, a dark mist appeared on the balcony. From the mist, appeared a pony who's coat was black as night, and whose mane was the color of the stars. Her hair looked like one of those nebulae in the sky. "Oh, my beloved subjects. It's been so long since I've seen your precious, little sun-loving faces" she taunted. "What did you do with our princess!" shouted a voice. I looked over to see it was the rainbow pony. She tried to fly up to her, but the orange pony who sold me the apple pulled her back. The dark pony chuckled. "Why, am I not royal enough for you?" she said, " Don't you know who I am!" I saw Pinkie Pie excitedly try to guess her name. "Ooh, ooh, more guessing games! Um, Hokey Smokes! How about... Queen Meanie! No! Black Snooty, Black Snooty--" she was cut off by the orange pony, who had stuffed a cupcake in her mouth. Did Pinkie Pie ever take things seriously? "Does my crown no longer count now that I have been imprisoned for a thousand years? Did you not recall the legend? Did you not see the signs?" Questioned the dark pony. Suddenly, the purple pony from the party spoke up. "I did. And I know who you are. You're the Mare in the Moon – Nightmare Moon!" she said. Everyone let out a gasp, including me. I thought Nightmare Moon was just an old pony's tale used to scare young fillies, but she was actually real! Nightmare Moon chuckled maniacally. "Well well well, somepony who remembers me. Then you also know why I'm here" she said. "You're here to... to..." she stuttered, and then gulped. Nightmare Moon chuckled more manically than before. "Remember this day, little ponies, for it was your last. From this moment forth, the night will last forever!" She laughed insanely, and lightning surrounded her. The night. Last. Forever! Oh no, my dream was coming true! //-------------------------------------------------------// Episode 2- Elements of Harmony //-------------------------------------------------------// Episode 2- Elements of Harmony "Seize her!" commanded the mayor to some royal guards, "Only she knows where the princess is!". However, Nightmare Moon had different plans. "Stand back you foals!" Shouted Nightmare Moon. Her eyes became enveloped in a light blue light. When the royal guards reached her, they were quickly bounced back thanks to the lightning. She then proceeded to return to her dark mist form, and barged through the doors. I saw the rainbow pony escape the orange ones grasp, and flew out the doors in an attempt to pursue Nightmare Moon. "Come back here!" I heard her shout. I walked over to the doors and peeked out. She had not been able to catch Nightmare Moon. Suddenly, the purple pony from the party ran out the doors. Now, where was she going? Should I follow her? Maybe for once I could help someponies. I made up my mind and decided to follow her and offer my assistance. Apparently, the rainbow pony had the same idea, as she was flying after the purple pony. I decided not to run too fast, the rainbow pony might see me if I do that. When I got to the library, the purple pony and the rainbow one were inside the library. I noticed some of the other ponies from the party enter the library. There was a sudden crash from inside, and I could hear the voice of the purple pony. "Elements, elements, elements... Ugh! How can I stop Nightmare Moon without the Elements of Harmony?" She said, frustratingly searching through every book in her library. Suddenly, the rainbow pony confronted her. "And just what are the Elements of Harmony? And how did you know about Nightmare Moon, huh? Are you a spy?" said the rainbow pony. I was about to jump in there to save her, but the orange one pulled her back. "Simmer down, Sally. She ain't no spy," said the orange pony,"But she sure knows what's going on, don't you, Twilight?" she gave a sigh and began to explain. "I read all about the prediction of Nightmare Moon," started Twilight, "Some mysterious objects called the Elements of Harmony are the only things that can stop her, but I don't know what they are, where to find them; I don't even know what they do!" she exclaimed. I saw Pinkie Pie, looking at a book in the E section. Oh... "The Elements of Harmony: A Reference Guide!" she read. Twilight ran over and took the book. "How did you find that?" She asked. "It was under E!" said Pinkie in a sing-song voice. Twilight opened the book and began reading it, "There are six Elements of Harmony, but only five are known: Kindness, Laughter, Generosity, Honesty and Loyalty," she started, "The sixth is a complete mystery. It is said, the last known location of the five elements was in the ancient castle of the royal pony sisters, located in what is now The Everfree Forest," Everypony except Twilight gasped, "What's wrong?" She asked "Th...Th...The Everfree Forest is a forest outside of Ponyville, where things just ain't natural," stammered the orange pony. "The clouds move on their own!" Said the rainbow pony. "The critters care for themselves!" Said the yellow pony. Her voice was surprisingly soft. "The plants grow on their own!" Said the orange pony. "Well good news for you because I am going in there by myself in order to save Princess Celestia!" said Twilight. "No can do sugarcube!" rejected the orange pony, "We ain't letting one of our friends go into that creepy place alone!" Twilight released a groan. "Fine, but don't get in my way!" she commanded. "Um... Maybe we should take another pony with us," suggested the yellow pony. "I saw a gray unicorn buying apples from my stand," suggested the orange pony, "maybe we should take him with us." "No!" Shouted the rainbow pony, "that pony insulted me by calling me a spy!" "Well, is there any other ponies you know that are capable of the journey?" Asked Twilight. The rest of the ponies shook their heads "Alright then," said the orange pony. The six of them started walking towards the door. I panicked and hid in a flower bush. They filed out of the door and made their way to the forest. The one with the yellow coat, however, paused and looked at the bush. Oh no! Had I been spotted. However, it turns out a bunny had just hidden in the same bush as me. When they were far enough away,  I got out from my hiding place and followed them. They stopped at the border of the forest. "Whee! Let's go!" Shouted Pinkie Pie. "Remember, sugarcube, we're stickin' to you like caramel on a candy apple." Reminded the orange pony "Especially if there's candy apples in there!" The rest of the ponies stared at Pinkie, "What? Those things are good!" The ponies made their way into the forest. When I got inside the forest, I got a very uneasy feeling. There was something watching me, something very evil. I could barely see three feet in front of me. Wait, where had the ponies gone. I started to panic. I didn't want to get lost in this forest and ever get seen by ponies ever again. I felt a breeze brush past me. Suddenly, three ponies came out of the darkness. "Oh look, it's that pony," said one. "The one that will never make any friends," said another "The one that will never be seen again!" added the third. "No.... that's not true!" I shouted, "I will make friends, and I will be seen again!" Even as I said it, I doubted my own words. "Oh will you?" Asked the first pony. "Stop lying to yourself," said the second. "Just give up," Suggested the third. However, something inside of me realized that I couldn't give up. "STOP!" I screamed, "No matter what you say I will never believe you!" "Well then, I guess my little charade has failed!" they said in unison, but this time it was Nightmare Moon's voice that came out, "Have a nice sleep!" I felt a hoof hit me in the head, and I was out cold. I don't know how long I was out, but when I woke up, I wasn't where I had been when I had been hit in the head. Instead, I was outside of the ruins of a castle. I then remembered where the Elements of Harmony were supposed to be kept. Was this the place? My suspicion was confirmed when I heard the voices of the ponies. "Twilight!" They shouted in unison. I stopped, puzzled. What had happened to Twilight? I saw the rest of the ponies making their way up a staircase, which probably lead to the main chamber. I quickly followed, hoping I could be of some use. As I was climbing the staircase, I heard the voice of Twilight. "You think you can destroy the Elements of Harmony just like that?" she started, "Well your wrong, because the spirits of the Elements of Harmony, are right here!" "Applejack, who reassured me when I was in doubt, represents the spirit of... honesty!" I peeked through the door to the chamber to find the orange pony being surrounded by gray crystals. "Fluttershy, who tamed the manticore with her compassion, represents the spirit of... kindness!" I saw gray crystals surround the yellow pony. "Pinkie Pie, who banished fear by giggling in the face of danger, represents the spirit of... laughter!" More gray crystals surrounded Pinkie Pie. "Rarity, who calmed a sorrowful serpent with a meaningful gift represents the spirit of... generosity!" The white pony got surrounded by gray crystals. "And Rainbow Dash, who could not abandon her friends for her own heart's desire represents the spirit of... loyalty!" The rainbow pony got surrounded by gray crystals. The only one without gray crystals around her was Twilight. Nightmare Moon didn't seemed phased about the fact that the elements were being assembled right in front of her. "You still don't have the sixth Element! The spark didn't work!" She said, starting to look a little nervous. "But it did!" She began, "A different kind of spark. I felt it the very moment I realized how happy I was to hear you, to see you, how much I cared about you. The spark ignited inside me when I realized that you all... are my friends!" A round stone appeared out of nowhere, engraved with, Twilight's cutie mark? "You see, Nightmare Moon, when those Elements are ignited by the... the spark, that resides in the heart of us all, it creates the sixth element: the element of... magic!" The ponies started floating upwards. The crystals then converged around their necks, forming a necklace with their cutie mark on it. Twilight's, however, was different. Instead of a necklace, she got a tiara. However, the ponies dropped to the ground. Nightmare Moon started laughing, "But.... what?" "Oh it makes me laugh to see how pathetic you really are!" she cackled, "There is a seventh element you foals!" "But, my book said that there were only six," said Twilight, glumly. "The reason your precious book didn't say there were seven is because no one knows that there is a seventh element!" Nightmare Moon then used her magic to lift the ponies upwards. Darkness started to engulf the room. I couldn't just watch this unfold! If this did work out the way Nightmare Moon wanted it to, the world would forever be engulfed in darkness, and would lose six ponies. I swallowed my fear and ran right at Nightmare Moon, and hit her. I was sent flying backwards, but Nightmare Moon dropped the ponies, "What! Who dares attack Nightmare Moon!" The ponies gazed at me in shock. "I dared to attack you!" I said. Nightmare Moon stared down at me and laughed. "Why, who is this little foal?" Nightmare Moon started cackling again, "You can't hurt me, you need the Elements of Harmony to do that, and there's seven of them, and you don't have the seventh one, do you?" Suddenly, I felt something light up inside of me. Something I've never felt before in my life. "I do have the seventh element!" I answered, "I've never had friends before in my life, but after I met some of you, I realized what I was missing out, and I guess that makes you girls.... my friends!" "Of course!" exclaimed Twilight, "you are..." "Yes... I am the seventh element, the element of.... a pure heart!" Everyone of the ponies suddenly got lifted in the air, and from us, emerged a rainbow, that surrounded Nightmare Moon. After a bright flash of light, we were all on the floor. "Ugh, my head" Complained Rainbow Dash. "Everypony okay?" Asked Applejack. The pony named Rarity looked back at her tail to find that it was longer. "Oh, thank goodness," She said. "Why Rarity, it's so lovely!" Said Fluttershy quietly. "I know, I'll never part with it again." I guess she thought Fluttershy meant her tail. "No, your necklace, it looks just like your cutie mark," She was correct, Rarity's cutie mark was three diamonds. "What? Ooh. So does yours," Fluttershy released a gasp. Sure enough, her cutie mark was three butterflies, and sure enough, her necklace was a butterfly. "Look at mine! Look at mine!" Shouted Pinkie Pie. Her cutie mark was three balloons. "Aw yeah!" said Rainbow Dash. Her necklace was a storm cloud with a lightning bolt coming out of it. "Gee, Twilight! I thought you were just spoutin' a lot of hooey, but I reckon we really do represent the elements of friendship." Suddenly, a light as bright as the sun appeared. "Indeed you do," Said a voice. I could recognize that voice anywhere, it was Princess Celestia. Twilight gasped. "Princess Celestia!" Sure enough, there was the princess, standing right where the light had been. I knelt down in respect. "Twilight Sparkle, my faithful student, I knew you could do it," Said Princess Celestia. Wait, faithful student? "But, you told me it was all an old pony tale," said Twilight "I told you that you needed to make some friends, nothing more. I saw the signs of Nightmare Moon's return and I knew it was you who had the magic inside to defeat her," the rest of us stopped kneeling and stood up, "but you could not unleash it until you let true friendship into your heart," Princess Celestia walked over to where Nightmare Moon once stood, "Now if only another will as well," Where Nightmare Moon had once stood was now a small dark blue pony, "Princess Luna!" The pony released a gasp of distress, "It has been a thousand years since I have seen you like this. Time to put our differences behind us. We were meant to rule together, little sister." "Sister?" Everypony said in unison. "Will you accept my Friendship?" She asked Princess Luna. Princess Luna suddenly rushed up to Celestia "I'm so sorry! I missed you so much, big sister!" She exclaimed "I missed you too!" Said Celestia "Hey, you know what this calls for?" asked Pinkie, "A party!" I started making my way towards the door, but Twilight saw me. "Hey!" She yelled after me, "Who are you?" "I'm..... I'm Midnight Smoke," I answered. "Glad to meet you Midnight Smoke!" Before she could ask any more questions, Rainbow Dash flew in-between us. "I have some unfinished business with you!" She yelled, "Come on, put um' up!" "Rainbow Dash!" Twilight said, "Just because you two got off on the wrong hoof does not mean that you have to fight him!" Rainbow Dash moaned. "Fine," she said. "I have another question for you Midnight," said Twilight. I guess Midnight was what everypony was going to call me. "What is it?" I asked "Why do you represent the element of a pure heart?" "I don't know," I responded, "I guess it may have something to do with the fact that I didn't even know you and I charged in here to save you." "Well, I guess that makes sense," she said 'I guess it does," I said. "Perfect, now lets go to Pinkie Pie's party!" Said Twilight. When we arrived back in Ponyville, we realized that Pinkie had somehow got there before us and set up the party. Was Pinkie Pie the fastest pony alive, or were we in the forest for a long time? Everypony was celebrating our triumph against Nightmare Moon. Princess Celestia and Luna arrived from a chariot. I saw Spike hug Twilight. Two fillies placed some flowers on Luna's neck. However, Twilight didn't look like she was enjoying herself. "Why so glum my faithful student?" Asked Princess Celestia, "Are you not happy that your quest is complete and you can return to your studies in Canterlot? "That's just it. Just when I learned how wonderful it is to have friends, I have to leave them," said Twilight. "Spike, take a note please," said Celestia. I, Princess Celestia, hereby decree that the unicorn Twilight Sparkle shall take on a new mission for Equestria. She must continue to study the magic of friendship. She must report to me her findings from her new home in Ponyville. Everypony cheered after she said that. Well, at least I don't have to lose a true friend. "Oh thank you, Princess Celestia! I'll study harder than ever before," exclaimed Twilight. The party lasted for a couple of hours, but even though I was having a blast, I decided that I needed to get some sleep. I started walking over to my house, but Twilight caught me. "Where are you going?" She asked. "Home, I need to get some sleep," I said. "Well okay then, I guess I'll see you tomorrow then." "See you tomorrow, Twilight," I kept walking to my house and opened the door. I walked up the stairs and laid down in my bed. What would happen tomorrow, I wondered. Would I be with my new friends, doing stuff. I also haven't met some of them yet. I pulled the covers over me and went to sleep. It was a nightmare-less sleep. //-------------------------------------------------------// Episode 3- The Ticket Master //-------------------------------------------------------// Episode 3- The Ticket Master I woke up with a jolt. This time, though, it wasn't because of a nightmare, it was because somepony was knocking at my door. I threw the covers off of me and walked downstairs. When I opened the door, I saw Twilight standing there with a smile. "Hi Midnight!" Said Twilight when I opened the door. Yep, everypony was going to call me Midnight "Hi Twilight, what are you doing here?" I asked. "Oh, I was just on my way to Sweet Apple Acres to help Applejack with her applebucking, and I was just wondering if you wanted to come along!" I thought about this for one second. I had nothing important to do today. I never really had anything to do any day, really, well at least not since I left home a few years ago, well, ran away.  I was so deep in thought about my past, that I completely forgot about Twilight. "Um, is that silence a no?" She asked, waking me up from my day dreaming. "No it's not," I answered, "sorry Twilight, but when I think about some things I have a tendency to go really deep into thought." "Oh, um I guess we better get going then!" As we walked out into the fresh air of Ponyville, I noticed that Twilight was carrying that dragon, Spike, on her back. I decided to introduce myself to the dragon. "Hello there, Spike!" The dragon was apparently surprised that I knew his name. "Um.... hello there?" He said nervously. "Oh come on Spike! He's a friend, you don't have to be nervous!" Encouraged Twilight. Spike let out a sigh. "Hello there, Midnight," He said, still a little bit nervous, "So, I heard your the hidden seventh element that nopony knew about, that's kind of cool." "Yeah, it's just that I'd never heard of the Elements of Harmony until yesterday," I said. "Seriously, it is, or was until we proved it was correct, a really popular legend!" He said in disbelief. "Well, I'm not really into legends," I explained. "Seriously? I've memorized most legends by heart!" Twilight interrupted, "There's the Changelings, Discord, The Pony of Shadows, but of course none of them are actually true." "The only legend I've ever heard from in that list is Discord," I said, "but enough about legends." "Oh, okay, I was about to go into detail about each one of them, but I guess you don't want that." "What I want to know is some answers." "Answers to what?" Asked Twilight, confused "You, mostly," I answered. "What do you want to know about me?" "Well for starters, why did the Princess call you her, "Faithful student", back in the castle?" I asked "Well, because I am actually Princess Celestia's student," I stared at her in disbelief. "You're Princess Celestia's student! But I thought she hasn't had a student since Star Swirl the Bearded!" "Yeah, but I don't like to brag about it," she said, modestly. "Okay, my next question is, when did you come to Ponyville, because I had never seen you until the day of the Summer Sun Celebration." "I actually came to Ponyville the day before the Summer Sun Celebration to check on all of the preparations, and that's when I met the others, and I met you at the old castle of the royal pony sisters." "Um... Twilight, Midnight, we're here," Said Spike. I looked around to find that we were at Sweet Apple Acres. Applejack was waiting for us at the barn doors. "Howdy there Twilight!" Greeted Applejack. "Hello there Applejack, Midnight and I are ready to help you applebuck," Said Twilight. "Well it's a good thing you got here early, we have a lot of trees to buck," She motioned her hoof to the fields of apple trees that needed to be harvested. "Well, I guess we better get started," Said Twilight. We walked to through a pathway that was in between the apple trees. "So, how do you buck apples?" I asked Applejack. "It's really simple, first you go up to an apple tree. Then, you kick the tree , which causes the apples to fall down. Once the apples fall you have to pick them up and put them in a bucket. If you don't get it on the first try, don't worry, it's not the easiest thing to do," She explained. I grabbed one of the buckets Applejack had brought with her and placed it near a tree. I turned around, and attempted to kick the tree. When I kicked the tree, the apples successfully came off the tree. However, I failed to move away from the tree, and a couple of apples hit me in the head. Applejack giggled. "Well, you got the apples off the tree, but I guess I should have warned you to move away after you buck a tree," I picked up the apples and put them in the bucket. My head was still throbbing from when the apples hit me, but I managed to ignore the pain. We bucked trees for what seemed like forever. I manged to not get hit in the head again by an apple. However, we had to stop because Applejack wanted to save some trees for "Applebuck Season", whatever that was. When we started walking back to the barn, Applejack decided to thank us.. "Thank you kindly for helping me out," She said, "I bet Big McIntosh-" "Who's Big McIntosh?" I asked. "He's my brother," explained Applejack, "Anyways, I bet him that I could get all of these Golden Delicious in the barn by lunchtime," she continued, "If I win, he's going to walk down Stirrup Street in one of Granny's Girdles!" She chuckled. Spike was lounging on Twilight's back, searching through the basket of apples, throwing out apples that he, for some reason, didn't want. "No problem at all Applejack, I'm just glad the goal is lunchtime, all this hard work is making me hungry," said Twilight. "I know right!" Said Spike, still searching through Twilight's bucket of apples. "Please, Spike, you've been lounging on my back all morning while we worked!" Exclaimed Twilight "Exactly, you three were taking too long, so I missed snack-time!" Explained Spike. Twilight's stomach growled. "Eh, I guess we better get some food" She said nervously. Spike still searched for something in the apple basket "Nope, Worm, Ah ha!" He exclaimed. I looked at Spike to find him holding up a pure red apple. My god it looked so delicious. "Oh, Spike, that looks delicious," However, before Twilight could say anything else, Spike devoured the whole thing in one bite, "SPIKE!" Said Twilight, annoyed. "What?" Asked Spike. Afterwards, he burped, revealing a scroll. "It's a letter from Princess Celestia!" Twilight exclaimed. "You get letters from Princess Celestia, from your dragon?" I asked "Yes, you see, he has this magical link to the Princess that allows us to receive or send letters to and from her," Explained Twilight. Spike picked up the letter, cleared his throat, and started to read. "Hear ye, hear ye. Her Grand Royal Highness, Princess Celestia of Equestria, is pleased to announce The Grand Galloping Gala to be held in the magnificent capital city of Canterlot, on the 21st day of, eh, yadda yadda yadda, cordially extends an invitation to Twilight Sparkle plus one guest"  Spike read. Twilight and Applejack both gasped. "The Grand Galloping Gala!" They exclaimed in unison, jumping up and down excitedly. "What's the 'Grand Galloping Gala'?" I asked. Twilight and Applejack stopped jumping and gave me a funny look. "You've never heard of the Grand Galloping Gala?" Applejack asked, surprised. "Nope, I've never heard of it." "Well, the Grand Galloping Gala is this royal ball held in Canterlot," Explained Twilight. Spike suddenly burped, and two tickets came out of the green smoke. "Look, two tickets!" He announced "Wow!" Twilight said, "I've never been to the Gala, have you Spike?" "No, and I plan to keep it that way," He said, mildly annoyed, "I don't want any of that girly frilly froo-froo nonsense" "Aw, come on Spike, a dance would be nice!" "Nice?" Applejack interrupted, "It's a heap more good than just nice! I'd love to go. Land sakes, if I had an apple stand set up, ponies would be chowin' our tasty vittles till the cows came home. Do you have any idea how much business I could drum up for Sweet Apple Acres? Why, with all that money, we could do a heap of fixin' up 'round here. We could replace that saggy old roof, and Big McIntosh could replace that saggy old plow, and Granny Smith could replace that saggy old hip!" She explained. I had this feeling that Applejack's fantasy was going to be crushed if she went to the Gala, "Why, I'd give my left hind leg to go to the Gala!" "Well, in that case-" Twilight was cut off by something rainbow colored that dropped out of the sky and landed on her and Applejack. In the name of Celestia, where did that come from? When the dust cleared, I saw Rainbow Dash lying on top of them. Well, this was going to end well. "Are we talking about the Grand Galloping Gala?" She asked excitedly, completely unaware that I was there. Applejack and Twilight managed to stand up. "Rainbow Dash!" Started Applejack, "You told me you were too busy to help me harvest apples. What were you busy doing, spying?" That sounded like me when I accused her of being a spy, except a little bit louder. "No, I was busy napping," I looked up to see a pillow and a blanket laying on a branch of one of the trees, "and I just happened to hear that you have an extra ticket?" "Yeah. but-" started Twilight. "YES! This is so awesome! The Wonderbolts perform at the Grand Galloping Gala every year-" she started. I figured she was about to enter a fantasy, just like Applejack had done. "Um, I'm going to go put these apples in the barn," I announced. "Yeah yeah yeah, you go do that, I'm going to finish my story about what's going to happen when I go to the Gala!" I was surprised Rainbow Dash hadn't scolded me. She was probably too enveloped with the whole Grand Galloping Gala thing to actually care if I was there or not. When I deposited the apples in the barn, I walked back down the path and was surprised to find Rainbow Dash and Applejack hoof-wrestling on a tree stump. Neither of them seemed to be getting anywhere with it, their hooves stayed in the same location. "Forget it!" Said Rainbow Dash suddenly. She let go of Applejack's hoof and flew in the direction of Ponyville. "Oh no you don't!" Applejack shouted after her. She ran down the path, following Rainbow Dash. Those two would do anything to get that ticket. I followed them into Ponyville to find Twilight surrounded by some of the girls, who were pestering her for the ticket and explaining why they should be the one to go to the Gala. "Wait just a minute!" I heard Rainbow Dash say from the top of a buliding. "Rainbow Dash! Were you following me?" Asked Twilight. Rainbow Dash flew down from the building. "No, I mean yes, I mean maybe," she said, panicking, "Look, it doesn't matter, I couldn't risk a goody-four-shoes like you giving away that ticket to just anybody," Applejack walked up to them. "Wait just another minute!" She commanded "Applejack! Were you following me too?" Asked Twilight "No!" She said, "I was following this one!" Applejack pointed her hoof at Rainbow Dash, "to make sure she didn't try any funny business, still trying to take my ticket." "YOUR ticket!" Said Rainbow Dash, angry. "But Twilight's taking ME!" Objected Pinkie Pie. All of her friends suddenly started arguing over why they should be the one to go with Twilight to the Gala. Twilight laid on the ground, with an anxious look on her face. "Everypony be quiet!" I yelled. Everyone stopped arguing and looked at me, "Twilight is the one that recieved the tickets, not you, therefore she should decide who gets to go to the Gala with her!" "-and then I said 'Oatmeal, are you CRAZ'-" Pinkie Pie said, finally realizing that everyone wasn't arguing anymore. How did she go from arguing over a ticket to oatmeal? "Thank you, Midnight!" Twilight said, relived. She stood up. "But Twiligh-" Rarity started, but Twilight put a hoof in front of her. "Like Midnight said, this is my decision, and I'm going to make it on my own, and I certainly can't think straight with all this noise!" She explained. Her stomach growled again, "Not to mention hunger, now go on, shoo!" Each of them walked off, complaining to themselves. Twilight walked over to me, "Thank you so much for getting them to stop arguing, I thought I was going to explode because of all the pressure, now let's get something to eat!" She said. We walked to a restaurant nearby, that had a symbol of a clover for its logo. We sat down and looked over the menu, however, Twilight still looked worried. "Are you still worrying over the ticket Twilight?" I asked. She nodded, "Well if it helps, you don't have to give your ticket to the Gala to me," She looked at me. "Are you sure Midnight?" She asked me. I nodded my head, "Thank you, but there's still 5 other ponies who want the ticket," She picked up a flower using her magic, plucking off the petals as she said the names of her friends, "Applejack or Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie or Fluttershy or Rarity, oh who should go with me?" I noticed the waiter had stopped by our table. "Have you made your decision?" He asked in a french accent. "I CAN"T DECIDE!" Yelled Twilight. Everypony at the restaurant looked at her. "Uh, Twilight, he just wants to take your order," Explained Spike, pointing to the menu. "Oh, I would love a Daffodil and Daisy sandwich," The waiter turned to me. "I would like the same thing she's having, please," The waiter then turned to Spike. "Do you have any rubies?" He asked. The waiter looked at him funny, "No? Okay, I'll have the hay fries, extra crispy," The waiter left the table to go get the food. "What do you think Spike?" Asked Twilight "I think we need to try another restaurant, I mean I like grass just fine, but would it hurt anybody to offer some gemstones?" That wasn't the kind of answer Twilight was looking for. "I mean about the Gala and the ticket and who I should take!" She explained Spike rolled his eyes, "Oh, your still on that?" Twilight jumped up and put her hooves on the table. "Spike, listen!" She yelled, sitting back down, "How do I choose, and when I do choose would the other four be mad at me? I mean, I could give up my ticket and give away two, but that would still leave three disappointed ponies, what if I-" "Ah, your food," The waiter cut her off. Spike was already devouring his hay fries. "Oh thank you, this looks so good, I'm sure everything will be much clearer once I eat," She picked up the sandwich with her magic, and just as she was about to eat it, a bunch of ponies ran to the building. What were they doing? "Em, madam, are you going to eat your food in ze' rain?" Asked the waiter from the restaurant. Rain? "It's not raining," Noted Twilight. However, after she said that, rain came storming down on me and the rest of the outside eating area, but not Twilight and Spike. I looked up to see a hole in the clouds and... Rainbow Dash. "Hi there, best friend forever I've ever ever had. Enjoying the sunny weather?" She said. "Rainbow Dash, what are you doing?" Asked Twilight "Whaddya you mean? I just saw the smartest, most generous pony's table about to get rained on, so I thought I'd kick a hole in the clouds to keep her table dry so she and her friends could dine in peace, that's all." Explained Rainbow Dash. "Oh really, our whole table," Said Twilight sarcastically, gesturing with her hoof to me. "Oh, um," Rainbow suddenly kicked another hole in the clouds above me, and it stopped raining on me. "Rainbow, you're not trying to get extra consideration for the extra ticket by doing me extra special favors, are you?" Questioned Twilight. "Me? No no no, of course not," Said Rainbow Dash innocently "Rainbow, I am not comfortable accepting unwanted favors, so I'd appreciate it if you closed up that rain cloud right now," "Fine," Said Rainbow Dash, annoyed. She zipped the cloud shut. Uh-oh. "That's better," said Twilight. All of a sudden, it started raining on all of us this time, ruining Twilight's sandwich and her mane. She groaned "Twilight, it's raining!" Stated a familiar voice. Ugh, this was going to end just great. "No.... really?" Twilight asked sarcastically. "Come with me before you catch a cold!" Commanded Rarity. I decided that I had had enough of this whole extra consideration thing. "Um... Twilight, I'm going to check on your library, okay?" I said as Twilight walked away with Rarity. "Okay then, make sure no pony takes the tickets, all right!" Called Twilight as she walked away with Rarity. I turned around and ran towards the town hall. If I remembered from the party a couple days back, then Twilight's house should be past the town hall, behind some buildings, and.... there it was! When I entered the house, I heard somepony humming. When I closed the door, I looked to see Fluttershy with some birds dusting Twilight's books. Ugh! This was probably another act so she could get the ticket.. "Hello," I managed to say, trying not to get angry at the fact that she was trying to get extra consideration for the ticket. Fluttershy was startled, and flew down. She looked away from me, "Your Fluttershy, correct?" She nodded, "Well, what are you doing?" "Um, I'm dusting Twilight's books," She said softly. I couldn't hear her. "What did you say?" "I'm dusting Twilight's books," I still couldn't hear her. "Didn't quite catch that." "I'm dusting Twilight's books," She said, more clearly this time. "Oh, waaaait, are you trying to get extra consideration for the extra ticket?" I asked. "Oh, um, no?" Fluttershy said, obviously nervous. "Fluttershy, Twilight doesn't want to accept these unnecessary favors, Rainbow Dash and Rarity have all ready given her favors," I explained, "and it won't help you get extra consideration for the ticket." "Oh, really?" Fluttershy asked. "No." "Oh, well in that case-" I suddenly heard the door open, and Twilight walked in. She looked at Fluttershy with a look of distress on her face. "Fluttershy, not you too!" Exclaimed Twilight. "Oh, don't worry Twilight, this pony-" "Midnight," I told Fluttershy. "Oh, well Midnight here just explained that you weren't going to choose someone to go with you based off of if they helped you, so I decided to stop," "Oh, well in that case, thank you Midnight for explaining it to her," Twilight said, obviously relieved. She opened the door, and confetti came out. Oh no, not Pinkie too! "SURPRISE!" Came a bunch of voices from outside. Pinkie grabbed Twilight and a bunch of other ponies started throwing her upwards. "Twilight is my bestest friend, whoopy, whoopy!" Sung Pinkie. "Pinkie," Twilight said calmly . "She's the cutest smartest all around best pony, pony," Continued Pinkie. I found it surprising that some of those words were true. Some of them, not all of them. "Pinkie," Twilight said, louder than before. "I bet if I throw a super-duper fun party-party." "Pinkie." "She'll give her extra ticket to the gala to me!" "PIIINKIIIIIIEE" Yelled Twilight. The ponies suddenly parted, and Twilight fell to the ground. "Yes, Twilight?" Asked Pinkie. Her eyes blinked like, a million times. "At least the other ponies, tried to be subtle about the ticket," She said. "Wait, what ticket, what gala?" Asked one of the ponies. Oh boy, this was going to end badly. "Oh, you didn't know, Twilight has an extra ticket to the Grand Galloping Gala!" Explained Pinkie. "THE GRAND GALLOPING GALA!" Everypony exclaimed. Twilight tried to sneak away from the crowd, which was pestering her with favors. However, she was quickly surrounded by the crowd again. "What are we gonna do?" I heard Spike ask nervously. "We're gonna, RUN!" Said Twilight. This was then followed by a chase scene. I couldn't see most of it, because Twilight ran behind some buildings, though I could still here the ponies pestering her with favors. "Oh my gosh, everypony really wants that ticket," Said Fluttershy. "Now imagine if you were Twilight, how would you feel if you're friends bombarded you with favors so they could get extra consideration for the ticket?" I asked her. "I would feel... very pressured, and nervous." "Don't you think that's what Twilight's feeling right now?" "Well.... I guess so," Then, the realization struck her, "Oh my gosh, I'm sorry, I wanted that ticket so badly that I forgot to think about what Twilight feels about this." "Don't apologize to me, apologize to Twilight.... when she's done being chased," Then, I heard a sudden sound like a teleportation spell behind me. I turned around to find Twilight and Spike, the latter was covered in ash, or soot, or whatever. "Warn me next time your gonna do that," Said Spike. "I didn't even know it was gonna happen," She explained to Spike. She noticed me and Fluttershy, "You two, help us lock the doors!" She commanded. I moved to the front door and closed it shut. I turned around to find Fluttershy closing some windows, and Twilight and Spike turning off all of the lights. Twilight released a sigh of relief when we were done. However, the lights came on, and there in Twilight's bed area, was Twilight's friends, except Fluttershy of course. Twilight screamed. "I can't decide, I just can't decide!" She shouted, "It's important to all of you and I can't stand to disappoint any of you, and giving me gifts and doing me favors won't make any difference, because you're all my friends, and I want to make you all happy and I can't, I just can't!" Applejack walked up to her and placed her hoof on Twilight. "Twilight, sugar, I didn't mean to put so much pressure, and if it helps, I don't want the ticket anymore," Apologized Applejack, "You can give it to somepony else, I won't feel bad, I promise," Fluttershy flew next to Twilight. "Me too, I feel just awful that I made you feel so awful," She said "And me too, it's no fun upsetting your friends," Said Pinkie. "Twilight, it was unfair of me to try to force you as I did," Added Rarity. "YES! That means the ticket is mine!" Exclaimed Rainbow Dash, "I got the ticket, I got the ticket," She sung. I looked at her with a dissaproving glance, and I think everypony else did, "You know, I haven't perfected my signature move for the Wonderbolts anyway, Iiii don't need that ticket either," Oh surrrrrre she didn't need the ticket. "We all got so gun-ho about going to the gala that we couldn't see how un-gun-ho we were making you," Explained Applejack. "We're sorry Twilight," Said everypony in unison. "That's very kind of you, but what am I supposed to do with these ticket?" Asked Twilight. "I think I might have an idea," I said, "Just send the tickets back to Princess Celestia." "WHAT?" Exclaimed everypony except for Twilight. "It makes perfect sense, you see, Twilight probably wouldn't be happy if she had to go to the Gala without all of us, so she should just return the tickets to the Princess, and decline the invitation," I explained "Midnight, that's a great idea!" Said Twilight, gleefully, "Spike take down a note," Spike took a quill and parchment from a nearby stand, "Dear Princess Celestia, I've learned that one of the joys of friendship is sharing your blessings, but when there's not enough blessings to go around, having more than your friends can make you feel pretty awful. So, though I appreciate the invitation, I will be returning both tickets to The Grand Galloping Gala," Spike wrote the letter as she said it, "Spike, you can send the letter now," Spike opened a window, blew, and green smoke came out, engulfing the letter and going out the window. "But now you won't get to go to the Gala either," Said Fluttershy. "It's okay, like Midnight said, I couldn't possibly enjoy it without my best friends there with me, so I'd rather not go at all," explained Twilight. The girls gathered around for a group hug. I saw Spike making a disgusted face, when all of a sudden, he looked like he was about to puke. "Well wallop my withers, Spike, isn't that just like a boy? Can't handle the least bit of sentiment," Said Applejack, jokingly. All of a sudden, Spike burped, and a scroll came out. "A letter from the Princess? That was fast," Said Twilight. Spike opened the letter. "My faithful student Twilight, Why didn't you just say so in the first place?" He read. All of a sudden, seven golden tickets came out, "Seven tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala!" Spike exclaimed, waving them in the air for everypony to see. "Now we can all go!" Exclaimed Twilight. Everypony cheered. Twilight's stomach grumbled for the millionth time today. She giggled. "Allow us to treat you to dinner," Said Rarity. Spike held the door opened and let each pony grab their tickets. Twilight grabbed hers first, then Rarity, then Pinkie Pie, then Fluttershy, then me, and then applejack, but when I looked back, I saw Spike had kept the ticket to himself. However, Twilight must have seen this, and used her magic to give it to Applejack. "How come I don't get a ticket to the Gala?" I heard Spike complain. He burped suddenly, and a scroll came out again, "And one for you too Spike" He read. A ticket was inside. Spike ran excitedly out the door, but Applejack must have heard him, and was waiting with a smirk on her face, "I mean gross I have to go too," Spike said, obviously faking it. He ran excitedly to join the other girls, but Applejack must have noticed me, because she walked up to me. "You like Twilight, don't you sugarcube?" She asked, with the same smirk she had on her face when Spike ran out the door. We started walking. "What makes you ask that?" I asked her. "Well, it was just the way that you helped her all throughout today. I mean, you defended her and told us to let her be when we were pestering her for the ticket. You convinced Fluttershy that Twilight didn't want to accept all of these favors-" "Wait, you know about that?" "Yep, sure do, she told me herself," She explained, "Anyhoo, you were the one that suggested that Twilight send the tickets back." "Yes, but we're friends, we're supposed to help each other." "Then why did you help her the most?" "Because I was hanging out with her all day," Applejack looked at me with an even wider smirk on her face, the it hit me, "Ohhhhh," I sighed, "Okay, you win Applejack, I do kind of have a little bit of a crush on Twilight." "That's okay sugarcube, your secrets safe with me." "Thank you, Applejack." The restaurant we ate at was the same one me and Twilight had eaten at the previous day. I got what I was about to eat earlier in the day, a Daffodil and Daisy sandwich. It was actually quite tasty. However, after we were all finished with our meals, we all went back to our homes to go to sleep. I went past the town hall and found my house. It was surprisingly close to Twilight's house, a very weird coincidence. However, I heard some sort of WHOOSH! sound come from my backyard. I went in the house, and opened the door to the backyard. When I opened it, I found some sort of blue box materializing out of thin air. Once it finished materializing, I saw a brown earth pony stallion with an hourglass Cutie Mark step out of it. "Hmmm, let's have a look around then," He said, "I appear to be in some sort of residential area, though it doesn't appear to be London, the buildings are a little bit too old fashioned," What the hay was this stallion babbling about, "I wonder where I am, is the TARDIS going all wonky, because this isn't where I want to be," His eyes rested over me, "and there appears to be a pony here, funny, because this isn't a stable, although it is fenced in, but this appears to be more of a backyard than anything." "What are you talking about, Mister?" I asked. He jumped a little when I spoke. "Whoa! Wait, you talk?" He asked. "Um, of course," I replied. "Well, that's certainly interesting!" "How is it interesting? You're a pony, you talk to other ponies pretty much every day." "Wait, that can't possibly be right, last I checked I was Homo-Sapien in appearance," He questioned. "A homo-what?" "You know, a Homo-Sapien, a hairless ape, bipedal-" "That means they walk on two legs, correct?" I asked. "Yes! So you have seen them!" "No, I just read a lot of books." "Oh, well in that case, I assure you I should be walking on two legs!" He tried to assure me. I still wasn't convinced. "No, you're walking on four hooves, mister," I corrected him. This stallion sure was weird. "Now hold on a minute and let me take a loo-" He reached his hoof out and looked at it, "Oh! Well, That's interesting! Look at that, hooves and everything," He laughed, "Guess that explains why I'm suddenly looking from a lower view point than before," He turned his head around, "I'm liking the tail that's a nice touch," His eyes shifted to his coat, "Hmm, chestnut looks like," His eyes got an annoyed look, "Still not ginger, blast!" His eyes then moved to his cutie mark, "Oh, and this, this looks like an hourglass here on my rump, fancy that! Doesn't look like a brand-" "That's your... Cutie Mark, mister, are you alright, you should know all of this stuff," I said, worried. "Now see-" "Did you hit your head on that blue box of yours, and furthermore, what's your name?" "First off, no, I didn't hit my head on the TARDIS-" "The what?" "Oh, that's the blue box behind me, it's a time machine," He explained, "And my name, well I'm just the Doctor." "So, your a doctor, cool, now what's your name?" "No, I'm just called the Doctor." "Umm, okay then," I said, awkwardly. "Actually, I'm in a bit of a situation, the TARDIS brought me here at this specific moment, so out of curiosity, is there an event taking place soon?" Asked the Doctor. "Well, the Grand Galloping Gala is coming up," I said. He chuckled a little bit "The Grand Galloping Gala!" "What's so funny about it?" I asked. "Oh, nothing, so anyway, when is this, Grand Galloping Gala-" He stifled a laugh, "-Going to take place?" "In a couple of months I think," The Doctor got a distressed look on his face. "In a couple of months!" He exclaimed. "Yeah, what's the matter with that?" I asked him. "Why did the TARDIS send me months before the date of the actual event?" He panicked, ignoring me, "Hmm... is it possible the TARDIS sent me months before the date of the, Grand Galloping-" He giggled again, "-Gala so I can get used to living as a pony?" "I... guess that's one way of putting it, Doctor," I shook my head, "If you use your name in certain sentences it doesn't sound right, maybe you should go under a different name, like..... Time Turner!" I suggested. "Hmm, I do like the sound of an alias for me here in this land, but I don't like the sound of 'Time Turner', so how about.... Doctor Whooves?" He suggested back. "I like the name," I said. Doctor Whooves yawned. "Oh, would you look at that, I'm getting fatigued, you don't happen to have an extra bed in that house of yours, do you?" Asked Doctor Whooves "Yeah, I have a guest room just in case." "Perfect!" Doctor Whooves bounded for the house. I followed him at a slower pace, and when I got inside, I found him searching my house frantically for the guest room. I put a hoof out in front of him. "It's right up there," I gestured with one of my hooves towards a room right at the end of the stairs. "Oh.... well, thank you for that information," He walked upstairs and got into his room. He slammed the door shut. I walked up the stairs, to the right, and through the door to my bedroom. I crawled into bed and started to think about the events of today. I had bucked apples with Applejack and Twilight, stopped an argument with Twilight's friends, convinced Fluttershy that Twilight didn't want to accept any tickets, suggested giving the tickets back to Princess Celestia, and Applejack even found out that I have a crush on Twilight. Well, this was going to be an interesting new life for me, with probably even more awesome adventures. As I laid in bed thinking, I fell asleep. It was another nightmare-less sleep.
