//-------------------------------------------------------// Remember me -by Dawning Dusk- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Mercy //-------------------------------------------------------// Mercy Everyday feels a little less than the one before. I know I’m dying Any pony can tell that I have been for awhile My friends had begun to notice awhile back My colors had begun to fade and I was late when making transitions. My brother had spent what felt like years begging me to tell him why I was freaking out and getting sick. My sweet kind brother Sombra Who treated all equally and gave so much even when he had so little Who loved freely and never let anyone tell him it was wrong To show a kindness to one who did wrong How could I tell him that he was destined to become a tyrant and then a mere shadow of himself? I’ve been having dreams, visions of the future. Oh mercy come upon me Let them end Let me end I would rather die Than see my one true love Who makes all laugh, Who understands me, Who chooses to love me Rather than listen to them say that our magics can’t be compatible, That pure harmony and pure chaos would destroy each other, How would I ever be able to tell him I saw him in pain and now Let himself let grief twist his psyche And turn him turn to A god of pure chaos who cares not Of others but of trying to ease his broken heart Each day he looks upon me with a smile I see the broken creature who will take his place Making those laughing yellow and red eyes Turn to one of menacing insanity When my dear friend Chrysie looks upon me Offering up her generosity to help me She tries to help with a pain I can’t tell her about Oh my dear friend How can I see you today, giving me that signature smile, The one that lets the people of our kingdom feel hope and joy In the refuge of To only turn to a monster who will take Love not by choice but by force? Why must I be the one to see these things? Why must I be the one to lie to them and feel Lulu’s eyes upon me? Tis a blessing and my greatest curse that she could see through any lie before her. Yet she too falls Shadows will reach to her very essence letting her forget who she is Her duty Her family Is it wrong to envy her fate? And poor Tia She has the worst out of all of us A thousand years all alone Watching her subjects come and go, waiting for us to return to her Return to her… Oh how she will be pained To me it is most disturbing by that I am not in any of them My friends will move on without me, becoming a tyrant, a psychopath, a monster, a the worst of darkness, and a lone standing figure I simply am not there What is to become of me that I can’t have the chance to protect them? Is it because I’m so close to my passing that they’ll fall apart? It perhaps hurts the most That when I see these visions I never see them in pain over me not being there Am I to end like them? Am I too to fall to darkness and let myself fade away? Am I to let this happen? Is it wrong that I…desire to lose myself to darkness? It actually seems better to let myself drop into the peaceful dark than to-"DAWN!" -=-=-=-=-=- “Dawn! What are you doing in there that makes you unable to properly take time to spend a day with us?” the musical voice was accompanied by a sudden pounding, causing the young mare to jump from where she had been writing in her journal. “Dawn! Come on!” She had just made to open the door as a bout of teal blue magic grasped the door handle and wrenched it open, a bit more powerful than needed, sending to door not only open into the hallway but launched out the window where she could hear surprised shouts below as once again a door was seeming to drop out of nowhere. Looking at where her door once was Dawn came across the sight of a blushing navy blue alicorn who was trying to disappear into the dark bricks of the hallway. “If you don’t tell Tia then I’ll make sure there’s room for you to create an aurora borealis tonight.” As always the young alicorn, Luna, was willing to barter in order to make sure she didn't have Tartarus to pay when her older sister would come around. “Deal. Now tell me…what’s with the knocking down of my door? Isn't that like the seventh time this week Lulu?” Dawn leaned against the once occupied doorway, her pale blue coat with her short frame making it seem like she was the younger of her and Luna. Luna turned to dawn confused. “Don’t you remember Dawn? The weekly meeting of our court? The one Tia holds all the time to make sure ponies like you remember you have jobs to do?” she was waving her hooves around for emphasis. “I remember my job!” “Right, like yesterday when the sky suddenly shifted to dusk in the middle of the day?” Dawn blushed “also Chrysie wanted us all to spend a day together. After all, you yourself have been cooped up in your room for the past three days.” Taking a look at her Luna sighed and said “even when you have atrocious bed-mane you have the best hair of all of us.” Luna was bringing to light one of dawn’s most eccentric features besides the usual alicorn appearance, meaning her flowing mane. It was her pride and joy, a shimmering, flowing mass of long wavy hair that seemed to continuously course of nonexistent currents of wind that changed as day and night passed. Up until mid afternoon her mane would be the colors of a warm dawn morning to later be replaced by the colors of the dusking sunset sky. Dawn loved her mane almost as much as her friends did. She knew even her brother and her boyfriend were jealous as well as her mare friends. Rolling her eyes and letting out a soft chuckle she turned back to her room, moving to make an attempt to find one of her belongings as Luna followed her into the room. “Seriously? Dawning Dusk how long have you had all of these? Tia’s been going crazy for days trying to find these.” She whispered these words as she saw the books stacked helter-skelter all around the room. Dawn blushed once more, noticing now that she did indeed empty out the entire library, something she realized now would indeed too drive Celestia into a frenzy with the way she would hoard all the books. While it wasn't odd that the room had books but that instead every surface that could have held necessary objects held a stack of books, even the bed was covered in books. It looked as if she had turned her room into her own library. “Why?” Luna probably thinks I went on a knowledge binge…again… She hadn't been going through one of her ‘knowledge binges’ as her colt friend and her brother had dubbed them but instead doing research on time travel and spells on dark energy in an attempt to find any information she could to help her try to prevent the visions she had been having from happening. while it wasn There has to be something in here that could prevent it… Ignoring the rest of Luna’s distracted mutterings of how Dawn could have carried all the books she shifted the mess around, haphazardly throwing blankets, pillows, and other assorted objects as she tried to pry away the outer mess of her room and find the small belonging. After a few minutes she lifted up her journal, closing it before Luna could see the words, which she realized now was like the sappy love poetry Chrysie loved to read, and got sight of a small glittering gem in the corner of her eye. Throwing the over large duvet off of the table she fully revealed a set of metallic clothing items. Bright shimmering bronze glowed as the small rubies embedded in the metal seemed to glow from within on the necklace, shoes, and crown. Putting them on herself, she got a glimpse of herself in the mirror and sighed. While she did have a mane any pony would envy, the rest of her appearance was less than satisfactory. Her body was a light purplish blue that looked strange with her golden eyes and it didn't help that she was the shortest of all of the rulers, meaning her closest friends. Luna was two years younger than her and yet she was a full head taller than her. She also knew the whole wing issue set people off or made them wary of her. Dawn had been born a Pegasus, her brother being a unicorn. When she ascended into becoming an alicorn when she got her cutie mark for bringing forth her first dawn, it had been strange because while she could use magic, her magic was strange and instead of existing internally around her spirit it ended up creating a curtain of light around her wings, giving them the red aura that was normally around her horn when she did a spell only the aura didn’t go away. She had tried everything but the aura wouldn't go away and much like how a unicorn could sent out bolts of light, whenever she became angry or agitated her natural Pegasus instinct to talk with her wings would combine with it, causing her to shoot out little multicolored lightning bolts. She was still thankful for her mane because she could use its naturally messy appearance to hide her wing’s aura by folding them and throwing her mane over her back. She gave the mirror a shy smile and turned back to Luna who smirked at her and ran over to fix where her own crown had been fallen crooked into her starry mane. “Now we’re talking. Now let’s get you out of here and in the meeting room before Tia realizes that I broke another door.”
