Dawned

      "Hurry up Spike! We don't have much time!" Twilight shouted. Princess Celestia had just sent Twilight a letter saying she needed her help to preform a spell and that a chariot would arrive soon totake them to Canterlot and, she spent the next hour rushing around gathering things for the trip and was making Spike very annoyed.

    "Calm down Twilight, the chariot hasn't even arrived yet,"  said Spike as Twilight pushed him out of the door.

"I know but we need to tell our friends incase that we have to stay!"  Twilight yelled back at Spike as she ran down street to find her friends.

    After an hour of rushing around and bumping into other ponies the duo had told their friends and spotted the chariot descending from the sky.

    "Come with us Miss Sparkle," said the mute gaurds "we will take you to the princesses."  and with that they climbed in and took off to meet Princess Celestia. Traveling across the beautiful scenery of Equestria from the skies.

It had been a good night, Dawn had made 53 dollars in town square playing her guitar and singing. She had been playing since she was 6 with her beautiful black accoustic guitar, a gift from her uncle. Dawn had been living alone since she was 10 and everyone insisted for her to live in an orphanage but she declined and, choose to preform to survive.

     She lived in a nice apartment in downtown Seattle, while she had many opportunities to leave the busy and gloomy city she stayed because she enjoyed the rain and coolness of the city. As she walked into the revolving doors she was visited by an ugly sight, her landlord. He was a dirty man in his late 50s and was a hopless drunk.

"Hey pretty lady why dont you come up with me," he was often seen with a new girl every week,"you look awfully lonely tonight" he said in his gruff voice.

  "Once again Steve, I'm perfectly fine and just want to be left alone," she said automatically as she walked over to elevators.

"I've had a long night and I'm exhausted,"  she said as the door shut.

'I have no idea how that guy is still alive being an excessive smoker and drinker' she thought for the millionth time.

   As she opened the door to her apartment, she flicked on the lights and walked over to open her laptop and check Skype. Seeing nothing she sighed and closed it and walked to her room to get ready to sleep. As she layed there waiting for sleep to come she wished for a different life. Sighing, she closed her eyes and drifted of to the realm of dreams.

2 am

    A brilliant flash could be seen from the 37th floor of the tall sky scaper that signaled the change of Dawns life.

6:30 pm, Canterlot

       Twilight and Spike had  just arrived in the castle to be greeted by Celestia,

   "Hello Twilight," she greeted "Spike," as the two approched from the balcony and bowed.

"Hello Princess,""Hello Princess, " they both responded at the same time as they rose to followed the princess.

    "I have summoned you here becuase I need you to help me with a spell which will transport an object from another dimension here to Equestria," she said "it is a very difficult spell which you, Princess Luna, and I will preform. A spell this complex will take a while to cast, five hours at the most,"

    As they entered the throne room the center contained the night princess and a plethora of papers littered about the ground.

   "Examine the papers and tell us when you are ready to cast it," said Luna still facing the papers.  Twilight lifted the papers and sat down to read them as quickly as she could.

     After a while she stood and and said "I am ready,". The three of them gathered in the center of the room and began casting the spell while Spike watched from the other side of the room. 'I hope they dont take to long' he thought as they closed thier eyes in concentration as thier horns grew even brighter.

  To Spike what seemed like ages the room was enveloped in a bright light and when it died down in the middle was a strange creature with no hair except for on its head. It looked up from the strange device in its hands and looked around with a look of shock then fainted.

       The princesses and Twilight were drained and looked ready to faint as well. The guards rushed foward and brought the three to thier rooms to rest along with the strange creature and Spike. The group recieved many strange looks as they walked through the castle. Some were frightened one even fainted while others were just greatly intrigued. The half conscious Celestia knew it would be along day tomorrow as she was placed in her bed.
