Equestria has fallen to the Elites, people with glassy eyes and a strange form of government known as a Supremial. Those that escaped Equestria with their lives have started their own nation called the Equestrian Republic. Now, after ten years of silence, the Equestrian Republic has gained enough strength to attempt to take back their original home: Equestria, or as the Elites call it, Illesia.

This is the story of Shadows, an old soldier who still has some fight in him after all of the trouble he's got himself into. 10 years after the Equestrian takeover by the Elites, Shadows is operating in the heart of the hostile empire. In a place he once called home. Shadows is forced to face his past wrongdoings, and make things right again. Even if BLACK doesn't want him working for them, he plans on helping whether they like it or not.

Warning: There is a scene that involves enemies that are both Russian and German. It is a very stereotypical scene, and it's sole purpose is to make fun of the other MiE fics that do this as an actual plot. This scene passes as quickly as it begins, so don't worry, this story isn't about the Russians and Germans fighting Equestria.
