Having achieved a new plateau of magic, Twilight and her pony friends ushered in a new age for all of Equestria. Their powers, like their friendship, never waned nor faltered as time passed in a state their hard-won years of relative peace. But like many great things, this too would come to an end. While Twilight Sparkle had ascended into becoming an Alicorn, the same could not be said for the other five wielders known for their heroism and camaraderie. It was a heart wrenching time for her, watching as each of her friends succumbed to time, leaving her with trinkets, memories, and their descendants.

Celestia, Luna and Cadance were there to console her but things never were truly the same after the last of her friends was gone. But that did not stop the coming and going of the years and Twilight Sparkle attended to her duties as Princess, remaining benevolent and kind. One hundred years have passed since then and the Celestial Sisters reign still shines true over Equestia. However one mare, a straggler lost and forgotten, has grown tired of the shadows cast over her. A Princess of a broken Kingdom, envious of the sister’s renowned, has used her magic to do the unthinkable. With memories being her dominion to rule, she has changed the collective minds of many ponies in Equestria through the use of a magic mirror and in doing so has replaced Celestia and Luna as rulers. Most citizens now only recall one pony as their divine monarch, Princess Memoriae.
