They all got the message: Fluttershy was dying. Nopony knew who sent it, but all her friends and family were there, ready to comfort her.
Fluttershy lay in her bed, barely moving. Her breaths were short and ragged, and every pony knew it was her time.
"Fluttershy!!" Pinkie Pie crashed through the door and ran upstairs to the rom. "Shy, please don't leave, not yet." She began to cry. "Please don't leave me."
Shy smiled and weakly grasped Pinkie's hoof. "P-pinkie, I'll a-always be here, even if y-you can't see m-me." FLuttershy could barely talk. Shy began to take deeper and slower breaths. Pinkie realized this and began to scream.
"N-NO! Shy, you can go through this! Maybe you can just-maybe you could get Twilight to heal you! She's smart like that, right? It should be easy." She looked at Twilight, who shook her head.
"Pinkie, it's her time to go. Don't make it any harder than it has to be.", Twilight said. Pinkie shook her head.
"N-no, I can fix this! I-I can't...I can't let you go! You're the only reason I live here, Shy. I love you!" Pinkie was freaking out, and Applejack started to drag her out. "What are you doing?!? I need to be there for her!"
Fluttershy smiled at Pinkie then took a breath. It was her last, and everypony grew silent. Pinkie's crying and Applejack's soothing voice was heard out side. Nopony knows how long they stood there before somepony decided to call the morgue. After that, everypony left.
The funeral was, to put it simply, inspiring. Almost the whole town came, and many ponies went on the stand to talk about the late Fluttershy.
