                                                                          Chapter 1 “Early start”

“Up! Come on up! Get out of bed!” the whispered voice was one he recognized even the darkness of his bedroom it belonged to his elderly grandfather , and it emanated from the general direction of the door.

"Fine, I'm up." Night replied, giving a low moan.

A small chuckle met the remark “We've got twenty minutes” then the door closed.

Night sight and groping for the I Phone on his bedside side table then he found it and press the home button. The screen lit up the screen showed a manga girl in a girly green bikini with brown eyes, large breasts, a cheeky smile and a wink on her face and the time and date just above it “02:40am Sunday 1st September.” Then a message flashed up “Mouth long hunting trip with a few friends” there was four of them going then it vanished.

Then he remembered his granddad had a cabin deep in some massive wood’s and land around them

“Only in Cumbria” Night whispered.

Then throwing the phone back on the table he sat up and reached down groping to find the trousers next to the bed with one hand with the other rubbed his eyes of sleep then his hand found a cold metallic object he grabbed it to find it was the belt buckle on his trousers.

The trousers were thick, warm, woodland camo and rugged for the many barbed wire fences he had climbed had not damaged them at all. Pulling them on over the boxers he slept in and doing up the zipper, button and the leather belt. He reached down for whatever came to his touch.

A heavy fabric brushed against his fingertips he griped it by now his eyes had adjusted to the dark now he could see it was his army green hoodie. He put it next to him and reached down underneath where the hoodie sat his T-shirt was then he pulled it on then the hoodie. Finding the phone again he pressed the home button the screen lit up “02:40” it then changed “02:41” the time read. Then pulling the charger for the phone then form the wall socket next to the bed. Then pushing it into one of the two large duffel bags resting against the wall next to the side table one full of food, supplies, water. A few necessary things like the phone charger pencils, pens and paper.

Night had put them in quietly as no one knew he drew. The other had his small amount of ammo for his shotgun and rifle and the camping gear. Night lifted them on to his back both where of equal weight he judged both added up to around twenty five kilograms . Putting the phone in the pouch on the front of his hoodie then he opened his bedroom door and crepe'd past his grandmas bed room door then down the stairs to the living room.

He opened the door the light was blinding Night raised his hand to cover his eyes then without warning something crashed in to his stomach “Down Lilly good girl down” the cream colored Labrador got down and walked towards the table laughter was coming from the table “Good girl” his granddad’s voice said

“Very funny” Night responded his eyes adjusting to the light his granddad was sitting at the table smiling at him still chuckling at him then he looked down at a bowl if front of him his usual porridge sitting there “I’ll get something to then.”

Dropping the bags on the sofa Night got a few apples from the kitchen Lilly imminently sat down in front of him “Can’t I eat in pace?” Lilly started to drool “No” he said then started to eat the apples “Will that be enough it’s a long dive” his granddad asked “It’s enough” he responded his granddad left the room taking the now empty bowl in his hands Night looked at Lilly “Kiss” Lilly lick'd his cheek “Good girl hear”

Lilly wolfed down the apple cores “Found a girl that likes you have you” Granddad entered the room smiling “At least she’s honest it’s nice to be liked” Night said stocking Lilly’s head and looked up at the clock on the mantel piece “3:00am” “Where going now got everything” granddad asked Night pulled his jacket on that had been sitting next to him on the chair and grabed the trench coat under it.  This was going to be a long day.

A few hours later Night woke up with a start "Shit! whe..." the car was moving along a wide country road granddad was driving the red pick-up truck "What’s wrong and mined you language!"  "Sorry nightmare" Night covered his eyes trying to remember the dream. A... well I don't know some sort of castle then... a... creepy anime girl.

"Fuuuuck I need to stop watching crap like that!" Night thought. He looked at the clock "8:00" it read. A tongue rubbed ageist his ear "Hello Lilly" the Labrador rested her head on his shoulder then without warning a large, loud burp came from the dog Night sighed "Charming Lilly right in to my ear. CHRIST THAT STINKS!”

All Night could hear was his granddad laughing at him.

Meanwhile in Canterlot in the royal throne room there was a air of activity as some guests had arrived on the first train in  that day.

The gang was there Twilight sparkle, Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rainbow dash and Pinkie Pie where gathering in the throne room of the castle where Princess Celestial and Princess Luna where siting surrounded by a mix of day and night guards surrounding the two as it was sun rise and the guards watch where swapping and Shining Armour was there super vising the watch swap.

"Twilight why do you come to us at this hour?" Luna asked looking at Twilight the guards stopped mid motion as they let the conversation go interrupted by hove's on marble and listened in.

"Yeah what the hay are we doing here?" Rainbow dash asked a hint of annoyance in her voice

"Yeah I was meant to be bucking today so why am I here?" Applejack chipped in.

"All you did was drag us down to the train station without a word!" Pinkie Pie said the bags under here eyes said it all.

"If you will let me speak I will explain" Twilight said throwing a look at them "I've come to day to explain a discover I have made."

The guards slyly looked at each other as did the Princess "Please continue" Luna said.

"Err...well the discovered has turned out to be a form of teleportation spell"

"Your letter did mention a new spell but we already know of the spell" Luna said glancing at Celestia

"Well what is so special about this one then?" Celestia asked

"Well as you know the current teleportation spells can only be used for shout distances and small objects at best"

"Yes" said Celestia "And..." Luna pressed.

Twilight licked her lips nervously "This spell can... teleport large objects like bed's, cupboards and possibly even... pones" The princesses looked at each other and seemed to communicate in an instant.

"But why are we hear" Rarity asked.

"If you let me I'll tell you" Twilight said "With the elements of harmony this spell can be amplified to reach another world!"

"That's cool" Rainbow said a smile creasing her lips

"What are the risk's" Luna asked looking at Twilight

"As far as I can tell there is no threat as there is no sentient life on any other planet that we can find all we need is your permission and we can demonstration for you.

The princesses looked at one another "Well" said Luna looking at Celestia they all looked at each other.

The guards had moved out the way without them even realizing they were all lined up against the wall with Shining Armour standing next to the princesses

His face was unreadable.
