Night looked in to the hole then back to his granddad and felt his hart brake

Almost all the veins where showing on the back of his hands and neck.

The colour of his face said it all but it was his eyes.

Night eyes met his and in an instant saw all the feelings of love and pride he had for his grandson and grandma the only thing's he had left after...

Night shut that train of thought off and looked back to his granddad he knew this fight would be the end of him he took a deep breath.

Night looked to his granddad noticing as he did his eyes where the same shade of green as his then he shouted.

"I love you!!" Then with another deep breath and closed his eyes and opened them again then shouted what had hoped never say and is granddad knew it "See you on the far side!" and with that Night twisted his hand and...let go.

Graham watched as his grandson close his eyes and the opened them "See you on the far side!" his grandson shouted he felt him twist his hand in his grip and the...let go.

He fell to the floor then looked back to his grandson growing smaller in the hole as it too was growing smaller

"NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" he shouted as he bolted to the portal and raising an arm his desperate to regain a hold on his grandson he was the most impotent thing in his life!

Someone garbed him and held him "NO LET HIM GO" Graham tried to fight "GETS OFF ME YOU FAT BASTARD I NEED TO RESCUE HIM!!" "No" Si said holding him firm "He let go to save you remember that!" the hole had closed now.

Si let go and Graham and he fell to his knees then Graham Night lifted his head to the heavens opened his mouth and a sole retching howl of pain, loss and love rang through the cabin all the animals in the now dark wood lifted their heads and looked at the cabin.

Lilly sat next to Graham looked at him then slowly o so slowly she lifted her head and howled along to the song of sorrow that rang over the surrounding countryside.

Night watched his granddad getting smaller and smaller he closed his eyes then opened them in time to see...

Well he never found out as his face hit what felt like stone and slid along it for a bit then fell on to his back he lay there fighting the black that was pressing in on his mind "Ow!" was all he could manage before he blacked out.

He woke to find his boot, hat and knife lying in front of his face Night closed his eyes and the first thought was "How much! And what did I drink!" his head was throbbing like he had hit it on a stone floor.

Someone nudging on his shoulder "hhuumm" he moaned moving his shoulder no doubt one of his cousins thinking it would be funny to wake him up at stupid o'clock!

There was another nudge Night shifted his weight on to his side so he could pull his hand out from underneath him

He put his middle finger and thum out and gestured in the direction off the nudging.

Night felt his hair moving and a sniffing sound "Lilly..." Night thought he waved his hand hoping to bat Lilly away as he rolled over as he hired a mutter then his head met something hard and cold.

Night looked down to see a white stone with black and red lines in it "Err...marble" his brain started to work again he closed his eyes then they shot open "Marble! there's no marble in the cabin" he hand slowly went for his hat and even though he was prone on the floor he shoved it on to his head "Where is hear?" his mined questioned as he picked up the knife and closed with a flourish then pressed it in to a inside pocket of his trench coat as his eye's where drawn to a large stain glass window "Where am I" he sat up and heard a noise behind him but ignored it he reached for the boot and started to undo the lace.

Celestia, Luna, Twilight and Shining Armour stood over the creature that was lying on the floor "What is it?" Twilight asked looking at Celestia

Celesta looked down "I don't know" she said as she looked carefully at the thing sprawl on the floor it was...odd

It was mostly a brownie green colour but under that was a layer of pattern same as the small blade's handed lying next to it  both seemed to be an apparently random layers of sticks and old dead leaves.

Then there was its head it had a brown main but no fir lower than its forehead it was naked down to where the green fir started under its eyes there was no sign of a mouth or nose.

Then Shining Armour stepped forward and poked its shoulder "What you doing?" Luna asked in a hushed voice "hhuumm" the creature made a noise.

Shining poked it again this time it rolled over reviling one of its forelegs but... there was no hoof on the end in there was five smaller legs four on the end of its foreleg and one set a little bit back from the others each ending in what looked like a hoof but did not go all the way around in moved three of the smaller legs so only the longest leg and the one that was set back it left extended and jabbed in the direction that Shining was standing "I think it wants you to stop pocking it" Twilight whispered.

Shining ignored her and sniffed at its main "It smells odd" he whispered.

Using the same foreleg it waved its "Hoof" in front of Shining's nose reviling what was on its back.

Luna saw what looked like two saddle bags on each side of its back and two very long bags sat in between its saddle bags "I wonder what’s in its bags?" "Which ones?" Shining asked "All of them" Luna said.

The creature sat up without warning the guard's that had held back moved surrounding their respective princes as they lowered their spear's to point at the thing on the floor they also realized two of the three objects where on longer on the floor

One it had put on its head covering its main

Almost at the same time Dash, Rarity, Applejack, Pinky then with a hesitation Fluttershy they stood in front of Twilight forming a shield

They watched as the creature pulled the first object that had fell out of the portal on to its hoof Twilight saw that it had another on the other leg then it got up instead of standing on all four's stood up on its hind legs then it trend to face the Princesses its eyes slowly moved over the guards then its eyes rested on Twilight and she saw that it's eyes where a deep green.

Night turned round well what he found was well... he felt a smile grow on his face and in his mind "I must of found the secret stash of Baileys as this..." he looked over the pony's and his eyes rested on a purple one with a horn "...is going to be one on the more wound up drunk dreams I'd ever had" Night lifted his arm and on the edge of the giggling and pinched his arm "OW!!" His arm fell to his sides "Aaaaarr shit!! This isn't a dream" he thought slowly.
