Skylanders: The Equestrian Force

Skylands, a magnificent and wondrous world hidden deep in another dimension, filled with magic and shrouded with mystery, both light and dark. Magic flows within every living being, from tiniest grub to the mightiest Leviathan, from the smallest pebble to the largest mountains, from the most minuscule of shrubs to the most enormous of trees.

Skylands are also home to the Skylanders, a collection of the finest warriors and guardians Skylands has to offer who defend Skylands from anything and everything that would every harm her. 10,000 Years ago, The 8 Elder Elemental, also known as the Giants, became the first Skylanders in order to combat the Arkeyans, a race of sentient machines who literally ruled Skylands with an iron fist. In a final battle against the Arkeyans, The Elder Elementals were banished to a strange world in another dimension as a form of sacrifice, and were buried for thousands of years before being unearthed by the current generation of Skylanders. Since the time of the Giants, there have been hundreds of Skylanders since then, and today, there are dozens, maintaining their duties of protecting Skylanders from the forces of evil. Many Skylanders come from different worlds and different realms, however, all know it is their destiny to use their powers and abilities to protect Skylands.

Skylanders are led by Portal Masters, wise and powerful beings who have defended Skylands from the forces of evil for millenniums. No amount of wealth or how much royal blood flows through ones veins can make anyone a Portal Master. To become a Portal Master, one has to simply be blessed by fate by being born with the gift of Portal Master magic. While there have been many benevolent Portal Masters in the past, today, there is only one good Portal Master left, and that is Master Eon, the current leader to the modern generation of Skylanders, a role he has filled for centuries. The number of Portal Masters rises and falls through the years, which has led to a belief that Portal Masters only appear when they are needed. While the Skylanders are not servants, each one chooses on their own free will to serve their Portal Master, and they do so eagerly. As result, each Skylander shares an unbreakable bond with their Portal Master.

While there are good Portal Masters, there are also evil Portal Masters. Sinister Portal Masters use their dark magic to darkness and havoc, while summoning the most evil of creatures to do their bidding. The most notable of the evil Portal Master's would be Kaos, a narcissistic portal master whose magical aptitude and cunning mind are just as big as his ego.

For years Kaos has clashed with the Skylanders in his campaign to be become the tyrannical ruler of Skylands, and although he has come close many times (banishing the Skylanders at one point), he was always defeated by the brave defenders of Skylands. Most recently, the Skylanders put an end to Kaos' evil plot of taking over Skylands by corrupting the Cloudbreak Islands.

And this is where our story begins, as the Skylanders celebrate their latest victory against the Evil Portal Master, they've no idea of the greater evil they will soon face.
