The MisAdventures of Beat Rider
Darkness that all i saw darkness. I don't even know who i am right now. All i see is darkness. Then i open my eye and man did my head hurt. The first thing i notice is a huge burly stallion standing on top of me .
"holly shit man i thought you where dead. well any ways my names rust gutter homeless man extraordinaire nice to meet u and u are?' the big man said.
I replied ' i have now idea".
'well how did u get here?'he asked.
'i do not know that ether' i said
he then preceded to help me off the dank ally way and to stare at my flank.
"WHAT THE FUCK ARE U STARING AT" i yelled startlingly the man.
"just your cutie mark man calm down and it seems you have not gotten yours yet" he replied while pointing at my flank. as i turned around i noticed nothing on my ass. when i look back at the pony he is walking away i quickly chase after him.
"sorry for yelling at you man but i have a question."i asked.
"its all good man i can under stand waking up from bad trip and not knowing where u are or who you are forthat matter" he bellowed " man this dude had a low voice" thought to my self. "ask away man and oh i all most forgot here" he said while tossing a bag at me" as
i opened the bag i noticed a note it read" dear fatefully student i know u have not woken up in the
nicest of places and i apologize for that but it will all be explained in due time and remember
friendship is magic signed C&L"
"what is your question he said" he sad with annoyance in his voice.
"sorry um..........." but before i could even get a another word out my stomach let lose the worlds
largest growl.
"hahahaha" he bellowed" no need to say any more fallow me" as he walked away i noticed on
his back side where what he called a cutie mark would be. was gone and replaced with scar tissue and he
walked with a bad limp. not wanting to follow behind i fallowed him. As this fellow and i walked thru
the back allays ways of who knows where we had some small talk. i learned that i had woken up in
phillydelphia a bustling town nestled in equestria. I was starting to worry that this man was just old
and crazy, and that i would never find my way out of this enormous maze of alleyway. As this thought
went thru my brain the ally suddenly opened up to a field of beautiful plasnts. Noticing the shock on my
face rust commented" not expecting this where you man hahahaha this is my home me casa es su casa. Eat
all u want they will grow back"."that laugh so low it shook the gowned, and eat what the plants well
i was hungry. leaning down i tried the flowers which where a deep green and had a very stinky smell but
it was a good smell. As i ate the weird plants every thing around started to grow brighter and the only
noise i could here was was rust laughing.

As rust laugh faded into a low beat slowly raising its tempo. it was at this point that I realized that rust was not laughing any more his mouth hanging lax, but the noise was still there ever with its ever changing beat and tempo. I then realized the noise was coming from me but not from a speaker but my mouth. i then passed out.waking up to see rust hanging over me looking worried.
"u all right man most people wouldn't eat three whole plants at a time and look u got your cutie mark"he remarked.
as i turned. there it was a boombox with a microphone wrapped around it i had no idea how it got there but it felt right for it to be there.
"Ya I am good just got a bad headache and did you Hear that noise it was awesome" i asked
"you Sur bet i did kid that was amazing how did you do that it was the coolest thing i have ever heard. you know what u ant got a name right haha i got you one how about beat rider how u like the sound of that" he said.
"that fine i like it its better than being name less"i responded. "i still couldn't get over that laugh it was so deep how could anypony make that sound" i thought.
" so kid I am guessing u don't have any where to go right? u can always stay with me as i say the homeless should make a home together, but remember u need to make your keep as they say, and i think i know how."he smirked
The next day i found my self sitting on a street corner trying to recreat my feat from the night before.
`"not as good as last night man" rust comented.
"well how am i soposed to recreat something i dident even know was posable" i explained.
It took a while but i was starting to get the hang of my new tallent it felt right for me to
do this like it was my destiny. as i slowly got better at what i was doing i desided to name it
beatboxing. many people stoped and listen some throwning bits in to the hat i had set out.thru the day
i moved down the sreat till i cam to the street ajasent to the most up scale hotel in all of
phillydelphia.
"this place should bring the most bits in" rust siad
"you go on back to the lot (as him and i had named our home)i will finish up here and head back"i reaplied.
"ok man just dont get cought by the police ok they are very hard on street preformers here."
as rust started walking away i started working my magic. starting of with a low bass building up in to a good tempo to catch the crowd.as i was neering my climax i herd the sirens in the distence and that is when i ran. i knew
better than to get caught i new from what rust had told me that the cops here where crooked and i had
no idea what i was in for.

As i ran thru the alleyways i could here the cloping of the police colts hooves behind me slowly
gianing.since i had not know who i was two days ago i was still trying to get accostomed to my body,
and that is when it all whent bad i hurd the shot. rust had mentiond some of the weapons the police
force of equestria had the most advance was a revolver and man did it hurt. as the shot ran out i felt
it hit my ear taking part of it with it ass it wizzed past me. the shot of pian then ran thru me
clouded my vision for only two seconds but that was enuf time for me to trip and for my assilents to
catch up with me. the first hit was the hardest. the larger of the two stallions an earth pony using
his forword momentum to kick me in the side making shure i would not fight back for my upcomming
beating that would ensue. As i laid there spitting blood i heard them laughing at the homless man
infront of them
"how can thay judge me for being throw into a life i didnot know and what gave them the
right to do this" i thought.
since i was double over in pian i could not fight back all i could do was lay in a fetal posision and wait for it all to end. after the other officer who was a unicorn proceded to throw me agenst the wall while spouting something about the scum and filth of the streets and how thay where like janators picking up the trash. Then they just left for me to wallow in my own blood. as i liad there for who knows how long i heard a soft voice above me. using the last of my striength i opened my eyes to a beautifull unicorn with a bright whit couat coat and purple mane. laying there i could here
her stern voice echo thru my head.
"do not worry i am here to help"
before i fadded in to the darkness i saw her horn light up whith a blue hue.the last thing i could remember was the light enveloping me with its grace.

Startled as i woke up from the nightmare that was the day before i realized i was back at the lot.
turning i saw rust and the strange mare from before.
"who are you and y did you save me." i asked.
she replied "I would have done it for any pony for that is what princess celestia would have all of her
subjects to do."
"beat are you not going to thank this nice young mare for saving you." rust interjected.
"your right i am sorry mam thank you so much i would prabobly be dead right now if it wasnt for you."
"it was nothing dariling. all i did was bring you here "she replied.
"so you did not heal me then what did?" i asked
"i do not know but i would count yourself lucky."
my whole body hurt and i ment hurt. i wanted to keep asking them what happed to me but the look on there faces told me not to.not wanting it anger the two i gave up my questioning. now fealing evan more hungry than ever before i got up wobbaly to the new plants that rust had grown.
"are you going to eat thouse" the mare excaimed.
"you bet i am im just got the living crap beatin out of me for doing what im about to do" i replied
"thoes are eligail you know y would you eat thouse" she puffed.
its was at this point i had just relized that this unicorn was very rich in fact.she wax whearing very big hat, and
her coat looked like that of a marshmellow.
" tust me girl" i said "you would love it."
i then proceaded to eat some of the plant as the world slowly started to turn a little brighter. I noticed that the mare was drinking some tea. for some reason rust had not stopped laughing that is when i noticed he was
pointing towards our tea pot. thats is when it clicked in my head. rust had made his special tea. i soon
joined his laghter, not know what we where laughing at, the mare explaied
"what are you two laughing at."
""nothing. and you will find out soon enuf so be quiet and listen to the sound of my peaple."
"hahahaha " rust laughed.
As i zoned out getting ready to make my music i heard the white unicorn ask what i ment. i started out whit a easy low resonace movinging to a more up beat techno beat. AS the sounds i made left my lips the look on the unicorns face changed from anoyed to astonisted. once again i changed my beat now moving in to some thing more with a hip hop beat. as i siynced my beats together it all rolled of my lip. as i neered the end of it the unicorn was allready clapping while giving me astanding ovation. since the mare was now standing i could see her cuitie mark

"OH my" the unicorn excaimed whos face now had morphed in to a woried look. " i must be going darilng before i miss my trian. and might i say that was one of the most amazing thing i have ever heard." she said as she turned
to run from the ally i yelled
"may i at least know your name."
"Its rarity Darling and here for your troubles.".she said while throwing a coin purse at me.
"100 bits thats the most i have ever made you would u give me this."
"think of it as genorosity darling" the mare said while winking. as i whatched
the mare run away i had a fealling this was not the last time i would seen her.

"happy welcome to this world day man" rust said.
one whole year had passed since i came into this world. or at least that i can remember. i had changed a lot since then my mane had grown out alot. it covered about my whole face and, my voice had also deepened but it still is not as deep as rust's voice. i had also lerned how to protect my self so that what happed last year would never happen agian.
"oh i all most frogot here" rust said while throwing a very nicely wraped present in my direction." its from
rarity have a look see. Said she made it for you."
As i quicky unwraped it i realized what was in the box. It was a bennie you know the thing u where on your head. it was very well made. i was suprized that the mare could have made this. It was a dark grey an allmost black color and had a microphone wraped around the bottom of the edge. In side it was embrodered.

It fit perfectly on my head. I was glad to have another hat. My old one that rust have given me was to tattered for me to where any more, and I hated for peaple to be able to see my birth defect. it was not much just a bumb on my forehead not big but still there. Now that my mane was longer it could hide it but i still would feal wheary. I wondered if the mare had know this.
" so i guess u are a man now right" rust said his voice had a diferent tone to it not like his normal happy tone.
" i guess im 18 now right" i replied
" itzs time i told u " rust said.
Rust proceded to tell me about him self. I found out that rust was once a great soldier. One of the best in the world and that he was apart of a old orgonization that he betraid and was red lined. Meaning he was on there hit list and hade to run to save him self and others. He even cut his own cuitie mark off so he could not be adintified.
" you are difernet beat i hope u know that. you have the power to change the world. i might look like a old fool but i can see it in your eyes you have what it takes. that is why i have taght you to fight. not to defend your self but thoes you care about. ." His tone held only knowlage.
"rust what are you talking about." i said
" just remember one thing for me ok humility is a great assest in life and that you should never give up on your loveones." rust said" Now lets have some tea to celibrate your birthday." his tone chaged agian to how i have allways know.
"shur man lets drink "i replied. rust and i spent the rest of the night talking about life and love and friendship.The next day was going to be the worst day of my life....
