Under the Moonlight
~Prologue~

I don't know why not.
I also don't know why my wings match my eyes perfectly, .or why the sclera of my eye is a light, light yellow, rather than white like other ponies'.
I don't know what I am.
I thought there were no more like me...
But, recently, I found I was wrong. Well, somewhat.

"Midniggghhhht! Midnight!" A voice called out to me, waking me up. I looked around to see the source. It was my friend Pulsar, a unicorn mare with a dark blue coast, a slightly lighter blue mane and tail with orange, and scarlet eyes. She was awake in the day like every pony else in the town, but she always made an effort to see me before she went home for the night. Now, her horn was illuminated with a soft blue glow as she stared annoyedly at me up in my cloud bed.
"Hunh? What is it, Pulse?" I asked groggily, stretching my wings out.
"You've overslept. You're usually up by sunset. I'm about to go home," she said, watching me as i looked around in surprise. No wonder she was lighting up the area; it was almost pitch black.
"Oh, Luna, I'm so sorry! Ididn't get any sleep until around ten this morning!"
Pulsar sighed. "Well, if you've had trouble getting to sleep, i can't blame you for oversleeping a bit. Just try to get normal sleep again."
I gave her an apologetic smile and drifted down to the ground, alighting in fromt of her. Only then did I realize how upset she looked.
"Hey, Pulse?Is something wrong? You look really upset."
Pulsar's scarlet eyes widened, and she plastered on a fake smile, trying to hide her disappointment. "What would make you think that??" she asked. "I'm fine!"
I shook my head. "Pulse, we may not see each other that much, but i know you better than that.
