ODIN
4 - ODIN Reactivates
Previous ChapterNext ChapterTwenty Minutes before ODIN's Reactivation,Squashwatcher 4-5 from the Science Division ILLEGALLY takes a expedition deep below.
SQUASHWATCHER 4-5. A Six member team of the PhysX Corporation takes in deep to the surface of the side of Canterlot. Operates a mechanical driller that cuts 150 meters per hour. Squashwatcher 4-5 includes with ponies experts composed in Archaeology and Symbology. The Six Ponies wears in oxygen helmets to go deeper with enough air to go down to. Actually, count to 5 stallions and one mare.
"Bucket. Check this out." Hoovington, a mid-30s Archaeologists flashs the symbol with his flashlight on his helmet. "Somewhat this looks familiar, scoop up any ideas?"
"No." Bucket Tearingtoons, a Symbologist. "Well, can you take a picture of that strange markings on the cave?" Bucket looks back at the other 4 on the driller. "Is the driller fine?!"
"It is," A Buffed brown stallion said. Fixing the mechanic problems of the drill that stopped at 1783 meters down. "There's a material that malfunctioned the driller. But don't worry, I'm almost done with the repairs."
"Geez! How cold is it here?!" A young archaeologist shivers. The Caves of Canterlot are quite cold. Not to mention the crystals around. "Did some ice meteorite hit Equestria milennia ago?"
"Going deeper makes us cold gentlecolts.." An early 30s mare, blonde mane with sand colored skin. Long. As her mane is ponytailed. "Get your jackets tight and wrapped around you. Glave?"
"Ma'm?" The Brown Stallion responds, as his name is Glave.
"Once the Driller is operational. Dig deeper. Make sure that we can get to 2000 meters deep. Whatever's in there is a material we need and some lost things to recover." The mare archaeologist ordered.
The Pump sound of the Driller starts in. As it continues to drill down. "The Driller is operational!" Glave shouted.
Finally, but having to wait for 2 hours or more is somewhat a little patience to take. The Mare incharge doesn't seem to go for the idea of going. "Glave. Get the Driller dig faster."
The Driller stops as it tries to drill on a hard, but weak material. The Ice ground below the team starts to crack. Fast.
"Oh shi-
The Ice floor shatters as the Driller falls down along with the team. The Driller explodes down below at the spike hole nearby. And the six ponies fell down to the ice slides and sends them flying in mid-air to the material floors. It's metal, but slippery...
"Ugh.."
Glave stood up first, "Where in the hay are we?" The others stood up later on.
"Somewhere. Deep. Below. Measure the meter." The mare incharge asked.
"I can't," Bucket tries to reactivate the meter after it was interfered by an unknown wave here. "The Meter Checker isn't responding. Something tells me we're going to guess bet with 2000 meters."
"Not smart enough to guess. Whatever we are, we have to proceed into that hole." The Mare pointed at the hole entrance on the right. "Does anypony have a serious injury?"
"We're okay.." The others replied.
"Good. Stay fresh. Jackets tight. It's still cold in here, you can shrill in by that temperature." The Mare leads the way for the others to follow.
Ice caves are commonly known for their cold temperatures. The Deeper you go, the colder it'll get. Down 5000 meters and you'll be dead in seconds. Ice. Nothing. And eventually waiting for somepony to shatter you to pieces. That's what the cold caves are, nopony is allowed to make an extraction for any artifacts or lost things that would go and find out what's really down there or what's deep down there.
The Bet of the six ponies are to find something down here. At least 2000 meters deep. Almost like somepony would die without any source of heat. But they brought some, since the inventions for the ponies are rather safe, easy to use. On the way, Bucket looked at the spike surroundings on the otherside of the ice path. There's nothing like a hall filled with ice and crystals. The pathway deep down is already enough beautiful to look above. Then down.

"Damn... This is beautiful..." Bucket looked up, still shaking his meter checker. "Are we going up or down?"
"What do you think?" Glave expects Bucket to say the right answer.
"I think down." Glave nods by what Bucket says. "Meter Checker is still messed up. Nothing I can do with the signal interfering. There's gotta be something down there messing with it."
And by mean, technology messed up? Easy to use things are preferably go with the things used easy. Not hard. But the six ponies on this mission volunteered themselves to find something down there. Like. Something is down there. Whatever it is, one of the proof is the interfering with the signal of the meter checker.
"Once we found that thing. We could sure do a hell lot of research and money." Hoovington bets.
"Quiet."
Quite an expedition they have. Of finding one single object on their way. What's buried is something classified. And like it was written a while ago, something is down there. Something that Celestia hasn't told any of the Science Division since the ones involved years ago kept their mouth shut. Especially if the Princess Twilight Sparkle would go beyond that rule if she knows the secret.
"Wait, Meter Checker is coming back up... The Meter Checker estimated the deep height of the meters below. "Uhh.."
They gone down way more than 2000.
"How deep are we?"
"We surpassed 2000. Looks like when we keep going..." Bucket moved 3 times, the meter goes from -2235 to -2238. "Yeah, every step we take. We get minus one on the way down."
"Tain't touchy. But we get that alot on my drilling experience." Glave laughs.
"Say, how is this secret going to be found by us?"
"I don't know," The Mare halts her position. The others stopped as she looks at her team members. "Whatever's down there, 2000 meters deep below. There has to be some explanation that Celestia never told to the public."
"A'right, like she's hiding something?" Glave asked.
"Definetly."
"That makes a lot of sense. Let's go down and continue up ahead." Bucket moves out along with the rest of the team.
They continued to gone down, Bucket is focused on both his way and on checking how deep they are. Every minute, he counts between -60 to -75. Then adding that to 20 minutes after. Seems like they found something they wouldn't touch nor to take pictures of it. A Classified Machine that was suppose to be buried down. Responsible for causing damage on Equestria 800 years ago.
ODIN.
A Large computer with it's shockwave platform placed on the edge side of the mountain's support stability. Any shockwaves caused down there would decrease 20 of Canterlot's Height. Most of the monitors from the cylinder pillar of the center were damaged or left shattered. But a few remained undamaged. CPUs were scattered everywhere with keyboards. Most of them are connected to ODIN.
"Holy... So THIS IS the machine."
"Damaged, but looks functional to activate." Bucket looks at the system's components on the sides. Some wires were entangled to another. But all of the wires are already based connected. "All the wires are plugged in to the main core. And we're okay with whatever's going to work now."
"Yeah, but who's trying to bury down an expensive megacomputer?" Hoovington lets out a curiosity of questions to either any of his teammates.
"Celestia."
Mentioning that name again makes Celestia the villain. Ouch. Tight for a Princess duty. But what they don't know is that what's wrong with the mega computer and why bury it down? The touchy feeling about computer engineers in mega computers are by one thing. Math.
"Alright, looks like we can turn on the systems now. Bucket pushes the large button. It made an unusual sound, the same sound heard as ODIN is running it's systems.
"Wait... Check the data. Look. The Mo-" The Mare stopped Bucket from talking as she sees a red background on the monitors. There's something wrong, unfamiliar. A Pony Skull icon in a large size appeared on every monitors that are still active. And even filled the lights with red.

"What the hell is going on?!"
ODIN starts to spark yellow and purple electricity. It starts to hit it's created lightning by the support of the crystal. The Explosion occured on the west part of ODIN. It hit Hoovington and the other 2, sending them flying to the spikes down below. The Sparks again repeats it's deadly tricks on them.
The Shockwave Pillar rises fast and attempts to stomp the platform. "No! Fu- What is this machine doing?!"
"It's overloaded with some kind of virus!"
Right. It is overloaded with a virus. A Worst one. Again, the Shockwave Pillar hits the platform and creates a violent quake that's enough to damage from here to the surface. Crystal spikes above falls down on the remaining ponies. Killing them. Fortunately, Bucket's leg is impaled by the spikes and survived from an imminent death.
'AGHH!!!"
He couldn't imagine or recall how painful it is. Blood of his fellow teammates splattered on the entire cave. Their bodies lay wasted by the spikes hitting their chests. Bucket is the lucky one. But it is about to say the word was. Since the spike is too heavy for him to go on. He was already bleeding, feeling himself cold because of the environment. He tried to shout for help. But he doesn't know he's the only pony here, still alive. Bleeding.
"H-HELP!"
The Echoes of the crystal caves doesn't help his volume to reach to the surface. The 8.1 Magnitude Quake that lasted at almost 5 seconds may have killed the ponies on the surface. He doesn't know, because he's not there on the surface and doesn't know what happened. His stare at ODIN, is completely different. His visions blurred, losing blood puts him to a death status soon. He forces himself to get his leg off by moving forward.
"I-I need to shut that...M-Machine!"
He couldn't get off from the spike that impaled his leg. No. It's too late. Stopping the machine is a history quest for him. No one will remember him. Nopony will know that they're down here. Dead. Activated the machine by accident. And it's all because that they're finding something that they don't know what. He takes his last 20 seconds look on the machine. Bucket, an archaeologist for the side guard. Dies here. Without a legend. Without a book written. And off the record.
Dead. It's the only word to say for the six. Dead. Puddle of blood already spawned as it's radius of blood increases from the lifeless Bucket from his leg. His face almost white. With his eyes still opened after his death.
