Pondering Life's Question
I sat impatiently tapping my foot on the ground as I waited for the doctor to come out. I clenched the arm rests of the hospital chair. Finally, the doctor came out and I ran to him.
As I approached him I saw a blank look on his face. 'Please God no.' I wanted to believe he wasn't smiling to surprise me though the thought of that was very, very, VERY short lived as he stopped me. "I am sorry for your loss Colton Stabler. Your uncle was a fine man." I felt my heart shatter into millions of pieces as the words escaped the lips of the doctor.
My low smile soon became a visible frown as the news my uncle had died sunk in.
It happened so fast. My uncle was in the shower as I waited downstairs to take him to dinner. Suddenly I heard a loud crash upstairs and I ran upstairs. The sounds of my uncle crying in agony made me try and break the door down... I called 911. Guess I was too late.
I sighed putting my hands in my hands into my pockets of my hoodie. "Shit, my entire family's dead." I muttered under my breath as I walked outside into the heavy rain beating on the now up hoodie.
I remember the day he took me in. It was a day like any other I was being taken by Mom and Dad to a fancy play only to see the lead actress be assassinated, sadly, the actress was Mom.
The past week my father fell into a deep, deep depression. That night was the edge for him after we all left with our lives I saw him grab a rope and mutter something before leaping off the stool he muttered: "Don't save me." I was petrified with fear anyway so I couldn't save him even if I wanted to.
The next week I was in the care of my retired military grandmother. She wasn't all too kind to me, thinking I was the trouble between Mom and Dad. I wanted to argue, but, I was scared to. After a while I ignored her. It grew harder and harder to ignore her as she continued to punish me. Finally, I had enough I ran away, taking a train to another city. My forty year old uncle raised my like his own son. It was great. Now, he's gone, a heart attack struck as he found he was holding a really bad heart disease hiding it from me for as long as he had it.
My uncle Simon was like a father to me when no other person wanted me. Now that he's dead, what do I do? I can't go back to my grandmother. She's going to beat the shit out of me.
I heard the doctor snap his fingers bringing me back to reality. "Shit. I can't go back," I muttered under my breath as I turned around from the doctor a frown shown on my clearly visible face. "He wished one thing..." I muttered to myself catching my doctor's ear in the process.
"What's that Colton?" the doctor asked in intrigued a little.
I looked back at him. "... He wanted me to when he dies: get a job, a life, a wife, and children. All these I will not be able to get not right now." I muttered again crossing my arms wishing my uncle was alive.

I stayed in the hospital for a while, regaining my thoughts. I lifted myself to my feet. A sigh left my lips as I began blindly walking. A frown was clearly able to be seen.
"No amount of happiness can make up for this..." I muttered. "No matter whom it comes from," I walked around the neighborhood which I formerly lived in with my uncle. 'Shit, I'll never get anyone to like me.' I exclaimed in my head slowly letting my head drop. I brushed back my black hair back with my hand.
I walked into my former uncle's house. As I sat on the couch a familiar sound emitted from the all too quiet house. My cellphone was ringing. As I looked to the caller ID I saw it was only saying [Unknown Caller] that was it. I pondered for a moment if I should answer the phone call or simply ignore it.
I ignored the call. A few moments later the phone rang again it was the Welcome to the Family song I set it to my friend's phone if he is to call. I lifted the phone it read [New Life].
I ignored the phone once again no even a moment later it rang... again. I sighed as I decided to answer the call just to get that phone to shut up. "Hello who is this?" I asked into the line no words were said before I felt my head spin out of control and I collapsed onto my uncle's sofa.

I slowly opened my eyes. It took a moment to adjust to the brighter light. I glanced back and forth at two ponies. "Wha-What the hell?" I muttered continuing to see two female mutated horses with wings.
"'Hell'? What does that mean?" a cyan blue horse with wings wondered tapping her hoof.
I glanced at the lavender purple pony with a horn on her head. She tapped her muzzle. "Hell? I guess no-pony will know," the lavender pony said bluntly.
I was almost scared to death. Two fucking ponies were right in front of me. Why the hell are there two ponies right in fucking front of me?!
Twilight Sparkle giggled at my face of shock. My eyes ran all over the pony's body. I was in shock of this creature.
"Oh, where are my manors? I am Twilight Sparkle." The lavender mare with a horn said smiling at me.
"And I am the one and only Rainbow Dash!" the hardly feminine pony struck a full of herself pose with her hooves.
I was silent trying to think of a good explanation why I found myself in Equestria a land I've heard of but never thought I'd see with my own eyes.
"What's your name?" Twilight asked an eyebrow rose.
After a moment of silence the question hit me. "Oh, I-I-I'm Colton, Colton Stabler. You can call me Colt if you'd like," I said without thinking.
"Funny, you don't look like a colt," Rainbow flew by me causing a low leveled breeze around me.
