//-------------------------------------------------------// Mother Earth -by The_Last_Philosopher- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue Fall to Earth //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue Fall to Earth For as long as I can remember, I’ve sat in this tomb, this… enclosure, singing to my Mother below me as she hold me in her embrace. There is a reason I sing to Mother. It was after I went insane after I found out that she made me immortal… It broke me. Cursed to live on and on and never see my friends, my family… the others that I loved, in my own endless sleep like they experience. Never. Immortal. The word repeated itself in my head for hours, days, months on end. It made me confused, depressed, and angry. I always asked Mother “Why me? Why not another one of your children?” She never answered me. It was only a few months after that that I became insane. I mean, come on; No human contact and a crushing silence would drive anyone insane after a while. So I did the only thing that could combat that silence. I sang. I sang to nothing, I sang to everything… and I sang to Mother. She talked to me today… was it today? Or was it yesterday? For all I knew it could have decades ago; I have long since lost my sense of time. Anyway, she told me of the new family she created. She was so glad to finally have more children once again; I was happy, no over-joyed, to finally have a family again. So many new brothers and sisters to hold and love once more. She’s finally pulling me back down to her. It has been so long since I was last able to touch mothers ground. But I’m still scared of how she will act; what if my brothers and sisters come after me and start hurting me again. She would be so angry and sad again. What if she starts the floods and fires all over again? Now that I can really see her now, I finally see how much she changed. Her new mountains pierce her skies; Valleys, lakes, forests, and so many more new landmarks could be seen. I can’t wait to see my new little brothers and sisters. I wonder what they could look like this time; 2 heads, 4? Maybe they look the same as they did before. Mother always did say she liked monkeys. Always talking about all the silly things the do. It was why she made us so much like them. I’m almost there, only a few more, umm… seconds, yeah seconds, until I reach Mother and we can be happy again. I can’t wait to finally reach her and help her with the plant-life with but a touch and making new plants altogether. Ones funny looking and bizarre, some divine and colorful, or ones delicate and rare; just like we used to do. But you want to know what really made me happy? Is that I am finally coming home.
