One month ago, on a dark and stormy night, Scootaloo's father was found dead in a ditch under mysterious circumstances - a barbed arrow in the heart for the young filly. Though she doesn't want to show it, right now she needs help more than anything… from her idol in specific. However, Rainbow Dash may not know how to deal with the situation herself - especially considering the death was reported to be a suicide.

However, when a shadowy source gives a tip to Rainbow explaining that there may be much more to the story than a suicide, Rainbow plunges into action. The problem? It seems to involve a conspiracy that goes high up in Equestria's ranks. Unable to trust anyone save for a somewhat expected source, Rainbow Dash attempts to help Scootaloo the best way she knows how - action, not words. Brawn, not heart.

But with the help of a series of strange songs being spread around known only as works of 'The Beatles', Rainbow may learn that sometimes a wounded heart aches for much more than just justice…
