Covers of The Dark and Windows of The Light
Papers and fliers scatter through this city. This city is like a desert... Lonely... Empty of feeling... The gray buildings that make up this city burn my eyes. It burns me to see something like my heart. Something so cold, grey and boring. It makes me wonder if there is colour beyond the core, unlike my heart. Something that could make me smile and maybe break my heart's core... Or it could stay emotionless.
There's houses in my city. Its where the people hide, live and sleep. On my street, there's twenty five of them. Twenty five houses filled with emotion and fear. I was born into this colourless world as a little girl, with no clue why my parents wanted to have me when they hated each other very much. I live with my mother on the third house on the right of my street. Its the little white house with no fence and all the windows are squared and in line. Almost all the houses on the street looked like that. All but one. That one house was pretty colourful, the only thing that makes me snigger or smile.
Its crimson red blocks of brick built up the house with a blue picket fence and little green grass filling up their yard. It was no other than Maria's home. Maria was a gentle young lady, a mother of three. She was caring, kind.... Broken. She was as broken as the glass I wish to scatter to escape this grey scene. Lost the eldest child to the unknown... It hurt her with an anger. Her child's face flew through the city, being missing for three weeks now.
