The Alicorn

Flash looked around the room. He knew he would be here for a while. There was a small corner of the room that would be perfect for him. He moved his box of stuff to the corner. Flash smiled. He could live by that corner the rest of his life if he could be in the same room as Twilight. Flash shook his head. Stop it Flash your her guard you can't think things like this . It's not right.

Twilight walked in from the balcony. She told him she would be studying for a bit and said she needed to concentrate on The Star Collision. Flash knew how important this was to her so he just nodded and went to the corner quietly. Flash knew that when Celestia said it would take a couple days for the construction team to be finished that meant like a week. But Flash didn't care they could take as long as they wanted as he smiled as he glanced at Twilight.

"No." shouted Flash frustrated.

Twilight turned around. Staring at Flash with a confused expression.

"Um Flash is everything ok?" questioned Twilight

"Ya, im fine Twilight I just saw a spider." smiled Flash suspiciously.

"Ok if you say so." stared Twilight.

Twilight stared at Flash for a while he looked confused. But he looked so handsome with his golden yellow coat and his dark blue mane that matched the lowering of the sunset. Twilight shook her head. Everytime she looked at Flash she got these thoughts.

"Whats going on with me?" blurted Twilight.

Flash looked up from his train of thought. Did Twilight say something? Ugh whats going on with me.

"Whats going on with me?" Twilight thought.

"Twilight.."

"Flash.."

"Yes." they replied.

"You first." smiled Twilight.

"No you go ahead Twilight." insisted Flash.

"Well I just wanted to say I am glad your my guard." blushed Twilight.

"Im glad your my princess." smiled Flash dreamily.

"What?" asked Twilight confused.

"Oh I mean im just glad you think that and and your a really good singer and im flattered you think that cause to some ponies don't trust me no I mean ponies trust me I just am glad you like im your guard.." flustered Flash "because im glad your the princess im with."

"Thanks Flash." giggled Twilight."Hey can I show you something?"

"Of course." smiled Flash.

Twilight walked out onto the balcony with Flash. She smiled and looked up into the sky. It was a starry night and the wind had a magic that made Twilight's mane glisten and blow back in the wind. Flash tried not to smile but he couldn't help it.

"Just look at the stars." smiled Twilight.

Flash looked up it was a dark jungle full of beautiful starry creatures at every corner. You could get lost in their glow. As they shined in the dark.Flash glanced at Twilight.

She was looking into the night sky with a beaming face and a look in her eye that was captured by the stars.

Flash smiled she was totally lost in that dark jungle of lights. It was amazing that somepony could love something so simple but so amazing. The thing about Twilight it seemed like she saw the greatness in a simple thing. Suddenly Flash had an idea.

"Hey,Twilight?" beamed Flash. "May I show you something?"

"Um sure." blushed Twilight.

Flash reached out for Twilight's hoof.

"May I? smiled Flash.

Twilight blushed and nodded.

Soon Flash leaped off the balcony with Twilight holding his hoof. Twilight panicked for a second.

"Um Flash." said Twilight nervously.

"Just trust me." smiled Flash.

Soon Flash opened his wings and Twilight did the same. They soared through the clouds. The wind going through Twilight's mane. Twilight smiled she had never flown at night before. They flew above rivers. Twilight put her hoof in the water and smiled. They flew over the Castle maze and a patch of land where Twilight could feel blades of grass tickling her stomach as she watched fireflies pass her eyes with their gleaming glows.There was a single cloud in the midst of the darkness. Flash smiled and they flew up towards it and landed toward it softly placing themselves on the cloud.

"Now have you ever seen the view of the stars from up here?" smiled Flash a gleam in his eye.

Twilight blushed "This is amazing, I honestly have never flew at night. Its beautiful!"

Twilight looked at the beautiful night sky. Absorbing every sight of the breath taking view.

Flash could only stare. "Yes you are." thought Flash.

Her eyes glowed through the night.

"Just look at them how they sparkle." whispered Twilight.

Flash smiled. "They sparkle like no other."

Twilight looked at Flash him looking into the night sky wondering if she should tell him about the strange world where she met a boy just like him and they danced together. Twilight knew that she should tell Flash the truth. It was a truth that kept coming to her mind and kept haunting her.

"Flash I need to tell you something?" said Twilight looking down at the misty, white, puffy cloud.

"What is it Twilight?" asked Flash.

Twilight hesitated.

"Thank you for taking me up here." smiled Twilight awkwardly.

"No problem." grinned Flash.

"Actually your the first pony I have ever taken up here." smiled Flash nervously.

"I am?" blushed Twilight.

"Well I know you love stars and I wanted to take you to the front row seats." smiled Flash.

"Oh well thank you." said Twilight her face turning pink.

"Your welcome." beamed Flash.

Flash stared deep into Twilight's eyes. Her gaze in his. With all his might he wanted to kiss her but he just couldn't.

"We better get going, its getting late." said Flash breaking the stares.

Twilight sighed. But she knew Flash was right.

"Alright."smiled Twilight.

"Race you to the castle." Twilight giggled.

"Oh your on." laughed Flash.

Soon they were back at the castle balcony. They just smiled and stared into the night sky from the balcony.

Flash thought for a moment. Then Twilight thought for a moment. All that has happened all the stares and the blushing. The smiles the laughing. This could only mean with one thing.

Im in love with

"Twilight." thought Flash.

"Flash." thought Twilight.

But thats only the beginning of the love between a Princess and her guard.
