The school bell rang. I placed my text books on my desk as I dusted off the dust in my chair with my tail. I groaned as Diamond Idiot sat in her desk next to me, batting her eyelashes all innocent-like and giggling to herself.
"Why hello there blank flank." she smugly told to me.
"Why hello there buttface." I said back as I tightened my bow up in my red mane. Silver Spoon stalked behind me as a sweat rolled down my back, like I always do when someone is just watching me.
"Applebloom, why such rude words? It's not our fault that you're too stupid to get a cutie mark." she teased.
"I don't think she even tries" Diamond Tiara scoffed.
"Will you two just leave me alone already? Why do yallz give a crap about me anyways? Isn't there something else you two twerps could do?" I asked.
The bell rang again for the second time as Cherilee walked into the classroom. "Hello class! We have an important lesson to get to!"
Diamond Tiara raised her hoof "Um, like, Miss C! Are we still learning about algebraic integers because I left my homework at home!" she yelled.
"Quite alright, Diamond! Because we're going to learn about something different today!"
"Thank God!" I muttered to myself.
"We're actually going to learn some more about Hearts & hooves Day, just as last year! But first, I need you fillies to meet our newest student! This is Butter Toffee! He's from Manhatten, and is related to Pinkie Pie! He's working the afternoon shift after school at Sugar Cube Corner! Now Butter, why don't you pick a seat... right... um..."
Diamond's eyes quickly brightened as she quickly shoved me out of my desk.
"What in the hec-" and then SHOVE as my head banged onto the floor and my papers flew everywhere. Everypony was laughing.
"Like, Miss C! Here's an empty desk right here!" she yelled.
"Thank you Diamond. You can go sit there next to Diamond Tiara and Silver spoon, Butter." Cherilee responded as he quietly trotted over to my desk.
I then got up, "Oh, Applebloom, don't you have a seat?" I looked at her.
"I-I-I u-u-um y-y-you see-"
"You can sit in that back seat over there!" she responded as she pointed her hoof at the old jacked up desk in the far right side corner of the class room. I gulped as my fellow fillies snickered, especially DT & SS. I quietly pondered to my new ugly desk.
"Alright now class, let's get on to our lesson!". I grumbled. I hoped that I would never get to sit in the jacked up desk back here. At least I was closer though to Scootaloo & Sweetie Belle. Maybe things won't be SO bad.
"Now class, who can remind as all what's Hearts & hooves day?" Everypony raised their hoof.
"Let's see... ummm... Diamond Tiara? Can you remind us what's Hearts & hooves day?" Diamond Tiara smoked on her catchy smile and giggled softly as she said "Hearts & Hooves day is the day where ponies do something special with their very special pony!".
"That's right Diamond! Hearts & Hooves day is all about that someone special in your life!" Cherilee announced.
"I already found MY someone special..." Sweetie Belle whispered to herself as she kept her eyes hypnotized on Butter.
"Alright class, this year, we're going to dig a little deeper into hearts & hooves day! Oh, and class, did you know that some ponies can get cutie marks from hearts and hooves day? Every Hearts & Hooves day, some ponies discover their cutie marks on their flanks. These are very special cutie marks, because they are matched into a holiday. These cutie marks all resemble, love, kindness, and lots and lots of hearts! You could get cutie marks from being a matchmaker, or the master flirt! Or maybe by showing kindness, or the love to your family, because remember! Hearts and Hooves day is also about kindness to the people you know! Friends and family too!" Cherilee announced, "In fact, our school was going to have a special Hearts & hooves day dance, but I'm afraid it has been canceled!" The whole class moaned. "I'm sorry kids, it's just that the Equestrian Economy just doesn't give us enough bits these days to-"
"HOLD ON!" Diamond Tiara interrupted loudly, as she then flashed an innocent smile as she walked to the front of the classroom, "The dance is back on my fellow fillies! We can like, totally have the party at my house! After all, daddy is the richest pony in ponyville and can totally afford such a big party like this one! May I Miss Cherilee?"
Cherilee stared at her and smiled, "Of course you can, Diamond. All right class! The dance is back on at Filthy Rich's mansion!" The class cheered.
I moaned. It was great, just great, not only do I have to deal with the annoyance of a Hearts & Hooves day dance, but now even worse, DIAMOND TIARA is hosting it! And she's JUST the most snobby, insecure, overgrown spoiled brat that roamed ponyville. I turned over to look at Scootaloo & Sweetie Belle. Scoot looked like she was sick, but of course it's normal because she hates mushy stuff like this, and even more hateful DT & SS. But Sweetie Belle was actually CHEERING with the rest of the class, yet staring at Butter at the same time.
I was shocked! "Now class, open up your text books to pg 890, and please welcome Lovestruck! Who is here to tell you fillies the history of her very flirty cutie mark! Welcome Lovestruck!" The class clapped as a light pink pony with hot pink hair and eyes as neon green as if they were contacts!
She took a deep breath as she started to speak, "Hello kids! I'm Lovestruck! And I want you all to take a good look at my cutie mark! It's a pink bow and arrow with hearts all around it! I got it from helping out my friends with their special someones! Not only did I show kindness, but I showed the loving spirit of the holiday by helping out friends get the perfect colt for their life! This also shows a lovingly flirta-"
"Psst!" I heard somepony whisper in my direction as I turned to Sweetie Belle.
She passed a piece of paper onto my desk as I opened it carefully and read it to myself, "Meet me at the clubhouse after school, I have an idea for our cutie marks!" I looked at her as she looked at me with a sly grin.

February 3rd, Monday (Afterschool)
"Wait, what?" Scootaloo groaned as I listened to Sweetie.
"It would totally work! We could get our cutie marks from being masters of love! What do you think?" Sweetie exclaimed.
"Can't we just get our cutie marks from being friendliest friends?" I asked.
"Eww! Not that one either! I want to get my cutie mark from being super daring! Not from doing some mushy mani pandi love stuff! Ech." Scootaloo moaned.
"Sorry Sweetie, but I think you're on your own for this one," I responded as I got up and started to trot away with Scoot. "But wait! Come on guys! We just HAVE to try out this one! I'm not taking no for an answer!" she yelled.
I walked back to her, "Sweetie, is there another reason why you wanna do this?" I asked.
"WHAT?!?!?! Of course not! I just-just-just u-um want tooo... t-try this way out!" she nervously scammered.
"Come on Sweetie Belle, spill it! We're your friends! You can trust us!" I said.
"Yeah! Even if it's something stupid like trying to get our cutie marks from being 'masters of love'" Scoots added.
"Ok, well, Butter Toffee's pretty hot and MASSIVELY adorable! His hazel eyes are just so dreamy..." Sweetie blurted.
I tried not to laugh, "Sweetie, it's ok, we'll try to help you out on this one! I just don't want to have a flirting cutie mark." "Yeah! We can help you with this stuck up love of yours!" Scootaloo agreed. "There's just one problem, it looks like Diamond Tiara likes Butter Toffee too!" Sweetie complained. "Then we have to move fast!" Scootaloo responded. "Wait, I got it!" I announced, "Miss Cherilee said that Butter Toffee was related to Pinkie Pie! And that he worked at Sugarcube Corner after school!". "So maybe we could go to Sugarcube Corner and find him there!" Scoot cheered. "But we better get there fast! Or else Diamond might be going too and beat us to him! Walking's too slow, and the taxi service is only on until 2:00! It's already 4:00!" Sweetie moaned. "I know just how to get there!" Scoot explained.

The wheels on Scootaloo's scooter turned hot as the friction overheated from them turning so fast. Scoots was going on at lightning speed, as our wagon rattled uncontrollably which made me & Sweetie's teeth chatter uncomfortably. The wagon-attached scooter zipped through ponyville square as we ducked underneath cars, crates, & sped past unhappy ponies.
When Scootaloo drives, she's TOTALLY unaware of her surroundings and is TOTALLY the daring type. She honestly doesn't care about smashing into another crate of apples or knocking into Derpy & Dinkie again. "Look! Sugarcube Corner's right up ahead!" I yelled as the wind flew past us. "Gotchya!" Scootaloo responded as she took a slight turn to head into the place. But Scoots must've lost control or something of the wheels because instead of turning left like we should, the scooter turned right and spinned crazily and smashed us into a tree that just grew next to our destination.
We stuck our heads out of the evergreen leaves as my head still throbbed and spun dizzily. I thought that I was actually seeing little pink and gray stars circling my head until my vision cleared up and I could actually see that it wasn't pink and gray stars circling me, it was Diamond Tiara & Silver Spoon! Just great. They couldn't see us because we were shoved up a tree but I could see them walking down the streets of ponyville with a few new bags of shopping swagger. I tried to listen to their gossip and conversation. I listened quietly.
"That was like, a TOTES great idea to have the party at your place, Diamond! I mean, why not have the party at the richest, most amazing, most popular pony in all of ponyville's mansion! It's going to be amazing!" Silver Spoon exclaimed.
"I know right? I mean, everypony is going to want to attend the party now!" Diamond Tiara added.
"Even those Cutie Mark Crybabies?" Silver giggled.
"ESPECIALLY those Cutie Mark Crybabies! In fact, let's make a little surprise for them when they come to the party! You, know what I mean. A small ambush." Diamond said.
"And I know what you mean when you say SMALL!" Silver teased.
"Let's show them a bit of Heartful Holiday cheer! After all, it'll be the last smile they'll have once everypony finds out what big LOSERS they are! Those BLANK FLANKS!"
Diamond Tiara chuckled as they laughed, "Oh, and we need to do something about the hot new boy. He'll be mine just in time for the party!"
"Totally!" silver added.
"Bump! Bump! Sugar lump rump!" The girls cheered as they banged their flanks together and laughed.
I kept spying on them to make sure they didn't have any more plans for us until...
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SPIDERRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!" Sweetie Belle screamed as she stuck her head out of the tree with a black spider on her muzzle.
And then I felt something crawling on my back. "AHHHHHHHH!" "AHHHHHHHHH!" "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" We all screamed as we ran around the tree panicking.
"What was that?" Diamond asked as she and Silver started walking up to our tree.
I panicked, "RUN! RUN! INTO SUGARCUBE CORNER!" I whisper-yelled as I shoved them through the door.
Once inside, I slammed the door shut behind us. "Phew" we all sighed.
"What did you see?" Scootaloo asked, with Sweetie closely behind, also curious. "I saw Diamond & Silver! It seemd like they're waiting for us to come to her party!" I explained.
"So she's actually being nice?!?! Hooray!" Sweetie cheered.
"Well no," I continued, "She's waiting for us at her party so she can ambush us! She's planning something really awful for us once we get there!
"Then that's easy! Let's just not go! Why would we want to anyways." Scootaloo answered.
"NOOOOOOOOO! We have to go! Butter will be there and who knows? Maybe he might ask me to a dance, and we'll romantically sashay across the dance floor!"
I looked at Scootaloo, and then back at Sweetie Belle, who was smiling joyfully.
"Well..." I groaned, "All right."
"YAY! I totally love you guys!" Sweetie yelled as she gave us a huge bear hug.
"Girls! Look! There he is!" I exclaimed as I pointed to Butter doing his job as a waiter. He was giving Pinkie's famous Super Sweet Strawberry Slurp to Bon Bon & Lyra.
"Thanks!" Lyra cheered.
"Yes," Bon Bon said in today, a british accent, "You are quite the handsome filly, shame that you're wasting your hotness by being a waiter."
Butter Toffee blushed. Which is funny because I've never seen a boy blush before. It's strange really, cheeks turning red, and his eyes scrolled over to the top right corner of his head.
He walked back into the kitchen as Pinkie Pie hopped out and jumped over to us.
"Hey girls! Welcome to Sugarcube Corner!!" Pinkie cheered, "Want me to get you girls a table? huh? huh? HUH? Ooh! And could I get you girls something to drink? My special Super Sweet Strawberry Slurp?! It's been very popular recently!"
I nervously laughed, "Heh. Thanks Pinkie! Actually that would be great!"
"Alright! Right this way!" Pinkie Pie responded.
"OOH! Could I have mine with whipped cream and a peppermint stick?" Sweetie asked.
"Come on Sweetie Belle, let's go sit down." I interrupted.
As Pinkie guided us to our table, Sweetie kept trying to catch glimpses of Butter, until finally he came out to sit at another table to take a break. He grabbed a glass of punch and sat there staring out a window.
"Girls! Look! There he is! He's own break!" Sweetie whisper-shouted in excitement.
"Go get him Sweetie!" I whisper-shouted back.
"You can do it gal-pal!" Scoot added.
Sweetie then got out of her seat and calmly trotted over to Butter's table.
"Hi Butter! I'm Sweetie Belle! One of your classmates!"
"Sup." he responded.
"Soooo, how does it feel being the new kid? Kinda scary, huh?"
"Sort of. It's kind of hard though for jocks like me back from Manehatten to feel scared about being the new kid. I mean, nobody teases hot football dudes, right?"
"Right." Sweetie answered, with her eyes fixed on him, basically drooling as she flirted with him. "So, can I sit here?"
"Sure. I usually like to sit alone unless my friends or cheerleaders are around me. But since I'm new, none of those are here. But ok."
Sweetie quickly sat her white flank on the chair next to him as they smiled and blushed at each other. I was so concentrated on this sickingly sweet cuteness until I realized that the pink and gray dot were back outside of Sugarcube Corner. Yep. Diamond & Silver. I guess they decided to stay after all, which was a really bad thing because Diamond likes, no, is basically EXTREMELY CRUSHING on Butter, and here she is watching him flirt with Sweetie?! I could tell by the look on her face that she wasn't happy. I could here her telling Silver Spoon something, but I couldn't hear what it was.
"Scoot," I whispered as I shoved her in her shoulders, softly interrupting her watching Sweetie & Butter.
"What?"
"Look outside the window!"
"Huh?"
Scoot looked outside the window to see Diamond Tiara & Silver Spoon.
"Crap! It's the rich Stuck-ups!"
"I know! What do we do about Sweetie Belle? She's watching her flirting with her new crush!"
"Well, they're leaving now." she responded as I then looked back out the window.
Diamond & Silver were walking away, Diamond being in frustration, but then, Silver told her something that calmed her down, and then instead they both started to evily laugh. loudly.
I got suspicious.
"How are girls like back in Manehatten?" Sweetie asked hypnotized by Butter's cuteness.
"Cute all right. Super hot girls. Most are a little too sophisticated though. I mean, I dig a chick with riches but, not exactly sophistication. More of like, rich hotness but not like, fancy. Girls kind of like-"
Sweetie turned away to see Pinkie bringing her Super Sweet Strawberry Slurp. "Thanks!"
"No problem!" Pinkie answered as she jumped away.
"Now, what were you saying? Girls kind of like?"
"Girls, kind of like, well, you."
Sweetie's eyes brightened and grew super large, I could tell that a bunch of immature happy childishness was boiling up inside her, but somehow maturely held it in.
"You know, I was, well, wondering if we could-" I could tell she didn't want to jump into asking him to the dance. "Hang out sometime?"
"Sure. How about we meet at town hall on Saturday and take a walk around Ponyville? You could show me around. Since I'm new after all." he nervously chuckled.
"Sure. I'll see you Saturday!" Sweetie called out as she jumped off the seat.
"Ok! See you!"
Sweetie walked back to our table, I could tell she wanted to get out of Sugarcube Corner right now so she can let all her crazy happiness inside out.
"Can you believe it?! He wants to hang out!"
"Awww. So cute!" I responded.
"More like, Ewww! So gross!" Scoot said, "I've had enough of this crap, let's go try to get our cutie marks by duck calling!"
"You have completed your task, Sweetie! You should be proud!" I cheered on.
"I still haven't earned my cutie mark yet though." Sweetie sighed.
"Maybe you will soon! Well, Applejack's probably expecting me! I'll see you at school tomorrow girls! Bye!" I shouted as I trotted away.
"Bye!"
