For one-thousand years I was alone, living on a desolate sphere devoid of even sound. The only thing to keep me company were my thoughts, my bitter, vengeful thoughts. Every one directed towards my sister, how I would get my revenge for this cruel imprisonment. Every waking moment fuels my rage for her, my desire to see her destroyed, her and those damned Elements of Harmony.

For a thousand years I waited, watching those foals forget me, forget their imminent, waiting doom. Every night the moon would rise, counting another until my glorious return to Equestria. to my rightful place as it's sole, rightful ruler. When my chance finally came, when the stars were finally in alignment, I acted.

My first sight when I returned was my sister, who appeared calm, despite the implications of seeing me. I sneered at her arrogance, but I still scanned the room, searching for those blasted Elements. Even my magic took a part in searching, probing invisibly throughout the room for any trace of their magic. It was a small room, befitting of the modest Princess, but it wasn't her modest room. I wasn't in Canterlot. Probably some small town off in the dregs of the country, Trottingham perhaps, maybe even Ponyville.

I scanned each piece of furniture, bed, wardrobe, drawers, then further. It was then that I felt them, dozens of lives herded together like cattle for the slaughter. I smirked slightly at the thought of them, then resumed my search. Moments later, a voice interrupted my focus, dragging my attention back to the speaker.

"You will not find them here, Luna," The white mare began, only to be interrupted by my harsh hiss.

"I am no longer that weak fool who followed you like a cub, Sister.." I replied, emphasizing the hatred in the final word, and grinned inwardly at the hurt expression painted on her face. I did, however, let her continue, knowledge is power.

"The Elements are no longer mine to control, they have found new Bearers, those with power beyond even my own," She continued. "They will defeat you, and preserve harmony in Equestria!" She placed a little emphasis on the point with one hoof slamming into the floor, a silly habit that even I am guilty of occasionally.

At this, I could not help but to laugh, immediately followed by casting a simple, yet effective, holding spell. With a flick of my horn, I cast the spell I had spent decades practicing, perfecting the spell I'd use to put Celestia in her place, and it did. The spell caused her to seemingly lose her balance, then collapse in a shivering heap as she attempted to escape, it even capped off her horn, preventing the use of her pesky magic. I wanted her to watch, helpless, as I took over her world, destroyed it and remade it as my own. Then, only then, would I feel content enough to destroy her,

I approached the crumpled heap of a pony before me, lowering my head to gaze into her stricken eyes, and then, I spoke. Quietly at first, then picking up volume as the excitement in me grew, "New Bearers.. Foals who know nothing of using their power? This will be first of many, great victories!"

It was then that the plan dawned upon me, and it rapidly quickened my subsequent tirade of laughter. If Celestia, the Pony God, was weaker than these children, then it stands to reason that there would be those more powerful than they are, aside from myself of course. I was powerful enough then to perhaps trick the Elements, make them believe I were harmonious with the good of Equestria. Doing this would let me see the power of these new Bearers, and whomever they may have to fight afterward. Pretend to be good, and watch the goings on, gauge everything so I know what force must be exerted to exact my revenge.

After a moment, my reverie was broken, and I rose up, glaring at the helpless mare before me, "Now you get to watch your world burn, Sister.." With this, and another flourish of my horn, I sent her away, to where exactly mattered little at the time, and released the holding spell. I made sure it sent her far enough away for my plan to take place.

Then, with a quiet, satisfied huff, I willed myself into a haze of midnight-blue steam, and whisked myself above the building I'd materialized in, eager to put this plan into action.
