1999 January 1st: The First Alien War Begins
'We have got our base under Treetop City astablished now. X-COM is redy. Equipment in top class, armour of best quality, best troptransport and air intercept craft availebul. Soldiers eger to fight against the aliens. Radars of the best computer to find. Now it is only to wait. And I hate waiting.'
Morning log entry over.

I got up from my chair and was going to go to the mes hall for breakfast. I walked down the steps from my offic and wandered if we culd get som action soon and not have bean a fireplace for money like Razor Talons was. I cuckled when I thout how bored thos Griffins must have bean. When I got to the mes hall I saw it that nopony was there. Then I relised how dump I was. I was the alien contaonment's mes hall. I culd not belive that I have forgot my own base's layout alredy. I walked away from the alien containmen facility and tryed to find my way to the mes hall. It took me half an houre to find it. It was the second facility behinde the third living quater.

If you wonder how I got to be a Comander when this is the first day for X-Com. Well just say I have my contacts and that the earth pony that was suposed to be our comander got into a coma by get to know that our base was underground.

And by the way I am a unicorn whit cream colored coat and black mane and mustch. And you can simply referens me as Comander Kim, or els you will be executed.

Now the brackfast was the usual. Vegstebulls. I took as I said the usual I eat every breakfast. A cup of tea and a dasie sandwitch.

I know this is not interesting so I will skip to the afternoon.

In total we where 50 ponys in this base. 10 scientists, 10 engeneers, 3 pilots, 14 soldiers (including myself), 5 medics and 8 chefs.

The other soldiers,medics,scientists,pilots and engeneers was bored out of there mind. The pegasuses was flying in the hangars for the planes, the other unicorn playing card in the radar room and the earth ponys dansing in the mes hall. I? I was on my way to the my living quater to take a nap. When I was by my bed the alarm whent of.

''Warning! Warning! UFO detected!'' was herd from the spekers.

Finaly I thout. Now we can have fun.

I galoped to the wepon room but it looked like i was to late. It was only 1 stune sod, 1 granade, 1 pistol, 3 clips to said pistol and 1 electro-flare. The unicorns needed all there magic to there whepons so use it fore light spells was not good. I looked if it was anything els but nothing. I sighted a hatefull sight. If I don't get to kill an alien today I will not let the soldiers back to the base until I kill one alien.

I tock what i culd and run of to the Skyranger. All 13 other sooldiers plus our pilot waiting for me to do the battle peping speach. But I had not the temper to do thet right now (and cuse I am not so good at english as you can see by my grama fail and spel fails) and only shoted at them to come onbord. The Intercepter 1 hade got lucky enouth to come close enouth to use its cannon to send it down. We was alredy runing low on money by all purcased extra equipment.

When we landed at the crash site it was dark. But the sky was clear and light blue. Then I turned around and saw it was a montain there and it come smoke from the side of it. It looked like a 5km walk. The 5 pegasuses in the team was not alowed to fly up to the treetops becures it wuld tell the aliens where we where.

We started walking. The pegasuses flying near the ground so they culd hold ther wepons in there fore hoves, the unicorns levitated our weponry whit our magic and the earth ponys had there whepons in there mouth. I was glad the used pistols and not bigger guns. It wuld be harder to use them then it alredy was for them whit simple pistols.
