Magical cutie marks
Velvet Sparkle Fiddled with her main nervously as her daughter, Twilight Sparkle hugged her front hoof while reading a small book on the basics of unicorn magic. Lifting her head up a little Velvet could see they where nearly at the front of the line and Twilight was going to to have to do her magical test soon.
Celestia's school for gifted unicorns was a very strict school and her daughter had only just got into magic,what the school taught only to the most sophisticated unicorns.Though this meant the world to Twilight to she knew she would be devastated if her daughter failed,Unicorn magic had never been the family specialty. But she believed in her daughter and that was what mattered for success. when they told her they had enrolled her in to the school she had studied crazily at every possible moment to make sure she would get in and only now had they heard there was an entrance exam.
Each time they got closer to the entrance,Velvet Sparkle could feel her daughter shake around her hoofs Velvet slowly calmed her down by stroking her Daughters purple main witch calming her a little bit to.
"Do you think I'm going to fail Mom?" asked Twilight saddened by the small chances of success
"of course not darling!" replied her mother smiling "all you need to do is smile,believe and work hard and you can do anything".
Just as Velvet Sparkle finished a large cyan plump earth pony came trotting towards them along with a Small pink unicorn smiling on her back.
"Excuse me". started the pony looking briefly at her foal "I'm afraid that there is a large fight going on at the back of the line and we are unable to line up back there, would it be to rude of us to simply go In front of you if we may?".

of course " replied Velvet looking down at her daughter "it will calm down my daughter a bit as well".
Moving in front of Velvet and Twilight,Pinkie pie was the next foal to go in and seemed a bit nervous too as she looked through her strait hair and stared curiously at Twilight.
"next" came a posh voice in the building startling Mrs.cake as she trotted in towards the Feminine voice as Pinkie happily jumped off her back.
"Name please" asked the posh unicorn as Pinkie trotted to the center of the area, a large dragon egg catching her attention."Pinkamena Diane Pie" replied the pink unicorn "But I prefer Pinkie Pie"
"Yes,yes" spatted the unicorn."Now Pinkie that dragon egg there is a ancient source of training the magical abilities of unicorns,OK?"
"yes" replied pinkie hesitating a bit "Now all you to do is hatch it.we'll leave you to it" she spoke before turning to write more notes on her pad.
Pinkie looked nervously at the egg,closing her eyes and concentrating she charged her horn as much as she could,but nothing happened. She tried again and again and again but nothing happened
"c'mon c'mon" thought Pinkie as she tried her best to hatch the baby dragon,but to no prevail.
"Im sorry for wasting your time" finished Pinkie as she turned to the judges who just wrote down some more notes not saying a word.
suddenly the floor began to shake as a large rainbow circle appeared outside, lighting the sky in many colors. Before Pinkie Pie could react she was lifted up by her own magic and into a magical glowing sphere. Her eyes white as clouds and her horn releasing a wave of cyan powerful magic pouring onto the egg making it hatch into a small green dragon.
But that wasn't it Pinkie, couldn't seem to control it. Shaking slightly another blast left pinkies horn growing the dragon to a tremendous size before completely crashing through the roof. Another blast came out then another turning Mrs cake in to a large cinnamon roll
Before another blast could escape Pinkie a white alicorn worryingly placed a calming hoof on Pinkie's shoulder making Pinkie fall out of her trance and in turn, fall to the floor.The white Alicorn almost instantly reversed the effects of the spell accept the small baby dragon now lying innocently on the stall where it had hatched.
"Pinkamena Diane Pie" Said the white alicorn calmly
"I-I-IM SO S-sorry " managed Pinkie
"You have a very special gift I don't think iv'e ever come across a unicorn with your raw abilities"
"huh?"
"But you need to learn to tame these abilities through focus study".
"Huh?" said Pinkie again even more confused
"Pinkamena Diane Pie I want to make you my own personal protege here at the school!".
"Well?" asked Celestia turning to Pinkie pie and Mrs Cake who just nodded making Pinkie pie nod two.
"But please can you call me Pinkie pie?"
"One other thing Pinkie pie" chuckles Celestia pointing to Pinkie Pie's flank, turning her head the Pink unicorn saw a Balloon with a magical like sparkle in the middle
."YES,YES,YES,YES,YES,YES,YES,YES,YES,YESSSSSS" screamed Pinkie pie as she circled princess Celestia while jumping in the air.
Twilight looked closely at the dragon egg, pointing at it with her horn she tried again and again. Like many others however her magic wasn't powerful enough
"I'm sorry mom" cried Twilight as she once again held her moms hoof "I failed you".
"Don't say such a thing Twilight!" The grayish mare replied "The filly who gained her cutie mark was just incredibly lucky that's all. Don't fell bad she was the only one that got into todayshe must fell very lonely!"

"Hurry up spike!" Pinkie pie said energetically as she bounced along the cold cobblestone path,Spike was behind her carrying a large box and a large tray of cookies laying on his head
"if where late then Twilight might not be there!".
"Pinkie I think your gonna make it there first" huffed Spike nearly dropping the tray completely.
"Uhhhhhhh do i really have to carry everything Pinkie?
"Yep"
"but you could levitate it with your horn!"
"ow Spike you know I don't do that very often other than around unicorns"
"But this is Twilight she's your best friend!"
"yea but..." Pinkie stopped for a moment,Twilight was her best friend I guess she just wanted to please her by pretending that she was posh in the sense of being a unicorn.
"I guess" she said pulling the box of Spike and tucking it into her mane.
"Ow ow oh there she is!" Whispered Pinkie pointing to the top of the hill where Twilight was her hoof gleaming off the moons light
."The music ready?"
"YEP"
"Then lets do this!" she huffed as Spike played the large record player held between his claw.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!" half screamed half sang pinkie as she climbed to the top of the hill. using her magic she pulled out another large tray of cookies and juice from out of her mane.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU" Pinkie screamed again
Twilight more surprised than ever just clapped and looked at Pinkie bewildered until spike came running up the hill as well with the birthday tune in his hands,
"Happy birthday dear Twilight......Happy birthday to YOU!" said Pinkie as she sat down next to Twilight on the soft grass,the unicorn stared at her telescope back to Pinkie and smiled happily at the two.
"Wow your early!" laughed Twilight as Spike dropped all the stuff onto the floor and nearly fell trying.
"thanks" replied Pinkie levitating a large box out of her mane
"I don't get to do this very often, its really fun though".
"Really?..with all the friends you have I'm a bit surprised....hey whats in the box?"
"Oh this?" asked the pink unicorn holding the large box in her left hoof
"This is your...present!".
Passing the large box to Twilight,a large smile grew on the lavender mares face as she ripped into the Purple and lavender wrapping paper it was sealed in and lifted the lid.
"Do you like it?" asked Pinkie staring at Twilight as she pulled out the small green reptile inside
"uh" Twilight said confused by the light green thing that she had grabbed out
"Mr and Mrs cake gave it to me all the way from Ponyville can you believe it? but because Ialready had Spike I thought I would give him to you".
"HEY!" an annoyed Spike yelled "I'm not a pet!"
Twilight didn't react, she just stared at the thing crawling before her.
"you don't like it do you.....".
"Well..." said Twilight gulping a little "its not exactly what you...promised me"
"no silly! Look in that box again".
Annoyed yet exited Twilight looked down into the box again,and sure enough where the small alligator had been was a golden scroll. Twilight picked it up and red it allowed.
"Dear reader if you have received this letter you have been significant enough in your test at Celestia's school for gifted unicorns and have passed exam No.2301 we will be happy for you to start any time in the next three days at the main hall for magic examination and fulfillment of your magic abilities.
"You will be put in class level E sector 9-11 your chosen room mate will be Pinkamena Diane Pie and Prince Daniel Blueblood. We cant wait for your arrival at the premises of your royal highness."
Twilight stopped for a second to breath,she was going to Celestia's school for gifted unicorns, her dream, her life long dream had just come true!.
"AHHHHHHHHH" screamed Twilight as she hugged the scroll and the alligator while she flung her feet into the air. HowevertPinkie didn't respond like she normally would with her saying "i knew you could do it" or her "who's fantastic, Twi is!" she just stared at Spike looking completely in the other direction.

2Are you OK Pinkie?" Twilight asked turning back normal
"Ow no Twilight I-I have to go I'm going to be late for my star seeing lesson!"
"But that's what we're supposed to be doing. Its my birthday,Pinkie my birthday you don't even have time for that?!,this is the first time we have seen each other for 3 weeks and-".
Pinkie was nowhere to be found.
"That pony....that pony is too busy for me anymore..."

"Twilight sparkle.....really?" moaned the alicorn while she slowly passed her steps up and down the hall
"Don't you see i want the best for you? Yet you come late...."
"I'm sorry..really it won't happen again" cried Pinkie Pie desperately as she levitated book after book out of her mane.
"ow Pinkie!" laughed Celestia her mood snapping instantly "Its not like I'm going to give up on you! Your my prized student it was meant to be this way you just can't change time! How about instead of studying about the cosmos you can
do a essay in something your weak in like age spells or something".
As Celestia trotted down to the book case the pink unicorn became confused, many years ago while doing a lesson in history she and Celestia had found that something around pinkie's history had been changed but Celestia just said that it was something minor...Ow, well
