Chapters Sisters of Different Blood

I used the last few lines of Give To Good Home were used to connect Cubette's story to mine and are completely his/her work.
Prologue: Don't Leave
Where do I go now?
Do I go to a different home?
Do I go to an adoption center?
Do I stay with Granny Smith? She's too old to take care of four foals alone!
Now, I run away, maybe I'll become a Wonderbolt one day.
"Rainbow, what are ya thinkin' bout?" AJ asked the cyan pegasus.
"Nothing" she replied calmly.
She didn't want Apple Jack worrying about her problems.
AJ didn't believe her but decided to leave her be for now and ask her about it later.
Two weeks had passed since Rose had died and AJ's leg was now better.
AJ woke to the sounds of soft hoof steps on the wooden planks on the floor. She looked to see Rainbow opening the window in their shared room.
"Whatcha doin' Dash?" the small orange filly asked groggily as she rubbed the temples of her eyes.
"Running away" she said in a monotone voice.
"WHAT!" AJ exclaimed just soft enough that it wouldn't wake the rest of the house up, instantly awake, "What'd ya do that for?"
"I kinda feel like I'm a burden on you and your family." the small pegasus said at barely above whisper.
"Why'd ya think that! Ya are just as much a part of family as everypony else here!" the orange earth filly spoke sincerely to her sister.
"You sure, Apple Jack?" the pegasus asked her companion.
"Completely, Sugarcbe. Now let's get back to sleep. The funeral is tomorrow and we should get some sleep befor our final farewells to Ma." AJ assured her before yawning and curling back up into bed.
"Ok" the rainbow-maned pegasus agreed before closing the window and climbing into her own bed.
"Night, Sugarcube" the earth filly said softly.
"Night, AJ" her pegasus companion replied.
The two then fell into a land of dream less sleep.

Chapter One: The Funeral
"Girls, ready ta go?" Macintosh asked his younger sisters.
"Yeah, we're ready." Dash said mournfully for her and her two sisters.
The small family then left their home. Mac took the rear, one year old Apple Bloom sat on his back, Granny Smith was in the front and Apple Jack and Rainbow Dash walked side by side between them. The day seemed very gloomy, as it should for a funeral. The trip to the cemetery was silent. They all kept their heads down the entire way there.
“We are here to pay our final respects to Rose Apple” the pony conducting the funeral said in a monotone voice, “She was a friend, daughter, wife and mother. Her foals would like to say a few words.”
With that Mac approached the stand, “Ah loved my Ma very much. Ah remember how she taught me about buckin’ trees. She said that you need to be stern but gentle. She was just like that so Ah can see why she was so good at it. All Ah know is that Ah'll miss her.
AJ sniffled as she approached the podium, “Ah remember when she told us bout the disease that killed her. She said not to worry bout it. Guess she was wrong bout that. Ah guess all Ah really wanna say is that we'll really miss her and it won't be the same without her."
Rainbow felt the tears sting her eyes as she stood at the podium, “If it weren’t for her I probably would have died in cardboard box at the age of four. I owe to her everything I have and who I am today. She took me in when nopony else would. I know I'll miss her but I also know she's watching us from heaven and keeping us safe.”
“You guys think she is watching over us from heaven?” Rainbow asked her adoptive siblings.
“Eeyup” Mac said as they looked at the polished wood casket that held their Mom’s body.
The next several hours were a blur for the three siblings. Most of it involved them reminiscing about their mother. Nopony complained when Granny Smith sent them to bed. The day had been very exhausting.
“AJ, do think she’s up there watching us?” Rainbow asked her orange sister.
“Yeah. Yeah, Ah do.” her companion replied.
“Night, AJ” the cyan filly spoke quietly, holding back a yawn.
“Night, Rainbow” her sister replied as she dozed off into the world of the sleeping.

Family Apprication Day: Deleted Scene
"Sorry, Apple Bloom, I have a weather convention I have to attend in Cloudsdale that day." Dash told her younger adoptive sister, "but Granny Smith will do a great job!"
She then proceded to give Apple Bloom a big hug before flying back to her cloud home.
"Family appreciation day used to always be a week before Hearth's Warming Eve" Rainbow thought to herself as she flew off.

Chapter Two: School Daze
"Girls, breakfast time!" Granny Smith called up the stairs.
Milliseconds later two blurs ran by her. The two fillies now sat at the breakfast table. To this, Granny Smith just giggled. It had been a month and the family quicker than anypony expected.
"Eat up kids, we're leavin' for school in ten minutes." she said as she sat down at the table.
Sure enough, fifteen minutes later they arrived at the school house. Their teacher, Miss Sharpener, was standing at the door with a kindly smile on her face.
"Hello Mac, girls," she greeted, "How are you, Granny Smith? Nice to see little Apple Bloom again."
"Ah'm good, just walkin' em ta school before Ah take lil' Apple Bloom for her check up." the elderly mare said smiling, "Have a nice day at school kids!"
"We will!" the two fillies responded simultaneously before running into the school house.
"Eeyup." the red colt said before following them in.
Ring! Ring!
The final bell had rung and all the foals dashed out to meet their family members. Whether it was an older sibling, a parent, an aunt or a grandma every kindergarten, first and second grader needed to be escorted home by one. Apple Jack and Rainbow Dash were no exception.
Normally, Mac would walk them home but he had math club today. Instead Granny Smith and Apple Bloom were waiting outside the school house.
"Hey girls, how was school today?" the green mare asked.
"Awesome! We learnt about how Equestria was made!" the cyan pegasus exclaimed gleamingly.
"And Family Appreciation Day is this Friday so we were wonderin' if ya could come talk ta our class." her orange companion requested.
"Ah will if Ah can find a babysitter for you're lil sis." their grandmother agreed knowing all to well she was the only one who would be able to.
"Thanks, Granny Smith!" the blond filly exclaimed, thanking her grandmother for agreeing.
"Yeah, thanks!" her rainbow maned companion with just as much enthusiasm as her sister.
"Thanks again for agreeing ta watch her on such short notice, Nurse Redheart." Granny Smith thanked the white nurse pony as she handed her youngest grandchild over to her.
"Don't mention it! I'm happy to help! Now you better hurry so you're there in time to present." the pink maned earth pony told her kindly.
"Oh, you're right! Ah gotta run!" the green mare said before galloping as fast her old legs could carry her.
"...And that is how Ponyville was founded!" the old mare said happily as she finished her story.
Everypony in the school house applauded her.
"Thank you, Granny Smith, for that wonderful story!" Miss Sharpener thanked her before the sound of two rings shattered the air, "Class dissmissed, no homework for over the weekend!"

"Wish I could have been there but I had to prepare for a storm tonight." Rainbow told her orange sister.
"Ah understand Rainbow, but ah still wish ya could of been there ta see it." her companion said.
"Well, it wouldn't be the first time you got an adoptive sister." the cyan pegasus reminded her, gaining a chuckle from both of them until Rainbow looked up at the sky, "AJ, you really should getting back to the farmhouse."
"Why don't ya come by for dinner? It feels like its been years since ya have come ta the house." she suggested.
"Sure, just let me tell the pegasi doing the storm their directions and I'll be right over." the rainbow maned pegasus said before dashing up to a group of pegasi AJ presumed were in charge of the storm.

Chapter Three: No Matter How Far We Go…
“Granny Smith! Granny Smith! Guess what!” Rainbow exclaimed as she bounced around her grandma.
It had now been five and a half months since family appreciation day.
“What?” her caring elder asked.
“You know about that Foal Flying Competition I competed in today after school!” the cyan Pegasus asked even though she knew the answer.
“Yeah, Ah remember how excited ya were for it too.” the green mare replied.
“Well, I won and the prize was a six week long, expense paid enrollment in flying camp!” the excited filly cheered.
“That’s wonderful Sugarcube!” the old mare congratulated her, “When do ya leave?”
“It starts the day after school gets out.” Rainbow said excitedly but slightly calmer than before.
“That’s in three days, so ya better go get packed.” she replied.
“Bye, Mac, Apple Bloom, Granny Smith” The young pegasus filly bid farewell before turning towards her sister.
“Ah don’t know what Ah’ll do for the next six weeks without ya but Ah guess Ah’ll have ta live through it.” AJ said sadly, “Just promise me one thing Sugarcube. Remember ta come home.”
“AJ, I’ll miss you too, but I’ll come home. I promise I will and that I’ll write to you every day!” her cyan sister assured her before embracing her in a hug.
After a few seconds AJ broke the hug, “Ya best be goin’ so ya aren’t late.”
“Oh yeah, bye AJ!” Rainbow exclaimed before dashing off.
“Bye, Sugarcube!” her orange sister called after her.

Fall Weather Friends Deleted Scene (Part B)
“Ah guess we never did grow out of our childish ways.” the orange workhorse said suppressing a giggle.
“Yeah, I guess we didn’t.” her cyan companion agreed, not bothering to hold back her laughter, “Remember that one time when we were foals and we had a race to see who could eat their dinner the fastest and we got those really bad tummy aches?”
“Yeah, Ah do.” the other replied giggling slightly, “Remember when we were five and had that race ta see who could buck trees the fastest?”
“Yeah, I remember! Mostly because I came out with a fractured wing and you had a broken leg! We were in the hospital for three and half weeks! When we got out I had to relearn how to fly and you had to relearn ho to walk!” Rainbow reminded her.
“Yeah, that wasn’t a very pleasant memory.” Apple Jack chuckled nervously as she shuddered.
“Yeah, you think. That might be the one race that we competed against each other in that was worse than the one we competed in today and back then we were playing fair and square!” Rainbow added.

Chapter Four: …We’ll Always Come Back Home
Week 1, Day 1
Dear Apple Jack,
We started camp off with introductions. I made friends with this griffin named Gilda in the age group above me. I also met this filly named Fluttershy. Some mean ponies in our group made fun of her. When I asked them why they said it was because she couldn’t fly very well. I don’t think that’s a very good reason to make fun of somepony. Other than those bullies, I really like it here. I miss you, though.

Today we started flight training. I saw Fluttershy at the back of the line all by herself so I stood in the back with her. She’s really nice and I know you would love to meet her. Dear Apple Jack,
Apple Jack, I have some REALLY big news to tell you but I’ll save it till I get back. All I can tell you without soiling the surprise is that I won a really big race by a long shot and did something that hasn’t been done in a long time.
Those bullies were making fun of Fluttershy again so I stood up for her. They challenged me to a race and, as always, I accepted. In the race I went faster than anypony thought possible. I can’t wait to tell you all about it!

Dear Apple Jack,
Fluttershy’s parents took her home from flight camp today. I’ll miss seeing her every day just like how I’m missing you right now. Before she left she showed us that she got her cutie mark! I’m so happy for her! I don’t know all the details but I do know the ordeal involved her ending up on the ground for the first time. I’m very happy to hear that she is planning on joining the student exchange program to live near Ponyville. She’s going to go to our school next year! I can’t wait to introduce you to her just as I can’t wait to talk to you again.

Dear Apple Jack,
I’m leaving flight school tomorrow morning. I can’t take it here anymore. We had our first class on flight dynamics and everything the teacher told us said that unless you can fly, you are inferior! I tried to tell our teacher why that wasn’t true at all but that monster wouldn’t hear it! I would leave now but you need a responsible adult to take you home if you are going home early. A camp counselor volunteered to fly me home in the morning and she agrees with me that just because I can fly that doesn’t mean I’m superior to you. I can't wait for tomorrow to come so I can see you again.

“Wait! That was today!” the cyan pony exclaimed before hitting herself on the head and muttering the word “stupid” under her breathe three times.
“It’s nothin’ ta get that worked up over, Rainbow. Ah know ya wouldn’t forget on purpose.” the orange mare said in attempt to calm her down, “Everypony makes mistakes. Apple Jack woke to the sound of somepony calling her name. She opened her eyes to see a familiar blue pegasus looking at her with concern.
