When Princess Celestia and Luna are interrupted by Discord, a small event sends the Princess of the Sun reeling, and urges her to tell her sister the entirety of a life that Luna has wholly forgotten. In it Celestia describes the failures that have haunted and shamed her for over one-thousand years. She talks of the losses she has felt and how heavily they have weighed on her on top of her responsibilities as the ruler of Equestria.
