King Sombra's exile was supposed to spare the Crystal Empire and all of Equestria from the poisonous decay of hate and fear. Though it worked for a time, the poison has begun to slowly seep back into the kingdom. It must be stopped, but there is only one that knows the depth and complexity of such dark magic. Can Sombra be turned; can he be convinced to renounce his past? Or is the lure of power once lost too much to be ignored?
