The world doesn't change very often. People live, people die, new ideas arrive, but nothing really changes. The world can change, though, but when the world does go through a change, it's usually very catastrophic. Large events happen, get written in history books, and life continues on, but it's those events that can open eyes throught the world. This catastrophic event would change everything in the world.

This war, PWII (Pony War II), destoryed most of the world. Countries, like ours, have been wiped out. The history books have been burned in fiery messes caused by the dragons. Completely destoried. Unless you have a spare copy, or can remember everything that happened in Equestria, then our history is gone.
