It was a day they both dreaded since three little fillies wouldn’t leave them alone, but also secretly relished for the possibility of finding their special somepony. They both believed that their jobs were more important, and never pursued any relationships.

For Big Macintosh, it was awkward. Nearly all the mares in Ponyville had a thing for him, but he never chose to stay with any of the selected few he did go on a date with. Cheerilee didn’t really have the chance to get out, making sure the foals at her school were learning well occupying most of her time.

But this year would be different. She was going to take matters into her own hooves, and make sure a certain three fillies didn't try to set her and the farmer up this year. The only way to do that was to get away, and make sure the hulking earth pony stallion came too…
