//-------------------------------------------------------// Shrinkie Pie -by Red Pegasus- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Fluttershy's Dark Secret //-------------------------------------------------------// Fluttershy's Dark Secret On a typical sunny Equestrian morning in the land of colourful talking horses, Pinkie Pie was bouncing gleefully to Fluttershy’s cottage. She had asked Pinkie to meet up there. The latter hadn’t given a reason to why she wanted the former there, but Pinkie was not the type of pony to let her friends down. Soon she reached the cottage, and knocked on the door. No response. Suddenly, a mysterious powder emptied all over Pinkie from above. Then she felt a strange sensation flowing all through her body. She saw that everything around her appeared to be growing. Then, Pinkie somehow realised that the world wasn’t growing. She was shrinking. By the time it stopped, she was certainly not more than a quarter of an inch tall. Suddenly, Pinkie was picked up, dropped in a jar, and taken into the cottage. The jar was set down on a table. The tiny Pinkie looked to see Fluttershy (who now seemed like a giant) staring at her. “I promise to love you forever and ever…” said Fluttershy. Then she trotted over to a list on the wall. It was a bunch of pictures of various ponies (or gryphons, or dragons, or whatever the ones were who weren’t ponies) with ticks next to them. Fluttershy placed a tick next to Pinkie’s picture. Then Pinkie noticed Rarity’s picture right under her’s. “Oh teh noes! I have to warn Rarity!” cried Pinkie. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. It was Rainbow Dash. “Hi, Fluttershy. Have you seen Pinkie anywhere?” she asked. “Dashie! It’s me, Pinkie!” cried Pinkie from inside the jar, desperately trying to get her friend’s attention. But to no avail. Pinkie tried jumping in the air. When she jumped high enough to reach the bottom of the jar lid, it fell off. Fluttershy had forgotten to tighten it. Pinkie jumped off the table, and because her body mass now weighed much less, she floated gracefully through the air, landing in Rainbow’s mane. “Bye, Fluttershy!” said Rainbow, and flew away, very quickly. Poor Pinkie had to hold on firmly for dear life. “SLOW DOWN!” cried Pinkie, wishing she hadn’t eaten so much cake that morning. Rainbow didn’t hear Pinkie. Eventually, Pinkie noticed Carousel Boutique. She jumped off Rainbow and landed on the doorstep. Being tiny enough to go through the gap between the door and the step, that’s what Pinkie did. Inside Carousel Boutique, Pinkie saw the giant Rarity. Pinkie climbed up Rarity’s body onto her head. Pinkie remembered she had a stash of miniature megaphones scattered all around Ponyville. One was hidden in Rarity’s mane. She took it and aimed it into Rarity’s ear. “RARITY!” yelled Pinkie. Rarity looked confused. “Pinkie? Is that you?” she asked. “Yes, it’s me! Whatever you do, if the phone rings, do NOT answer it! It’ll be from Fluttershy!” cried Pinkie. “Why ever not, darling? What’s wrong with Fluttershy?” asked Rarity. “She dumped some strange powder onto me and now I’m a itty bitty little wittle twinkie Pinkie! She’s going to do the same to you!” replied Pinkie. “Are you sure you didn’t climb into a washing machine?” asked Rarity. “Yes, of course I’m sure! This is Fluttershy’s doing!” replied Pinkie. Rarity thought for a second. “To the library!” she exclaimed. Later, at the library, Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Applejack were gathered round. Pinkie was on the table. “So, what you’re saying is, Fluttershy shrinks ponies and keeps them as pets?” asked Twilight. “Well, in a nutshell, yes, according to Pinkie,” answered Rarity. “Alright girls, we’re going to Fluttershy’s!” stated Twilight. “Pinkie, I think you’d better wait here,” she added. “She’s right, sugarcube,” said Applejack. “The moment you step outside, you risk being stepped on or eaten.” So Twilight, Rainbow, Rarity, and Applejack left for Fluttershy’s cottage. Eventually, they reached it. “FLUTTERSHY! OPEN THE DOOR SO WE CAN KICK YOUR SORRY FLANK TO THE MOON!” yelled Rainbow, violently banging the door. “No, Rainbow. Butt-kicking is not the answer. We just need to talk this out with her peacefully and–“ began Twilight, but stopped when she saw Rainbow go backwards, and fly into the door, forcing it open. “TELL US WHY YOU SHRANK PINKIE!” demanded Rainbow, pinning Fluttershy to the ground. Fluttershy started crying. “I–I just wanted my friends to be with me!” she answered. “Fluttershy, we’ll always be your friends. But you can’t just go round minituarizing ponies and keeping them as pets,” responded Twilight. “I’m–I’m sorry…” said Fluttershy. “Come on, let’s turn everypony back to normal,” said Applejack. So they used a growth powder to return all of Fluttershy’s victims to their original sizes. While they were doing so, Pinkie entered. “I… made… it,” she panted. It looked like she had ended up in a crazy adventure trying to reach the cottage. She was restored to her original size. The last one to be restored was Gilda, who was pretty ticked off about being tiny. “I’m getting my revenge on you! I’m going to shrink you and see how you like it!” she screamed at Fluttershy. “Oh teh noes!” cried Fluttershy. Suddenly, the six Element bearers had an idea. “HEY, KOOL-AID!” they yelled. “Oh yeah!” exclaimed the Kool-Aid guy, bursting in through the walls. Gilda was trying to decide what to do with a tiny Fluttershy. Eat her? Squish her? Throw her in the trash? Flush her down the toilet? Suddenly, Kool-Aid was emptied all over her. “AAHH!” screamed Gilda. Then she flew away. Everypony forgave Fluttershy and the memories were shoved to the back of their heads, never to be remembered again. Later, Twilight asked to nopony in particular, “Why was Gilda so terrified of Kool-Aid?” Rainbow, who happened to be present at the time, explained to her… but that’s another story.
