Into the Void

It was dark, this, prison, was always dark, there was nothing. Never was, never will be. No light survived in The Void and no life did, except those willing to kill. And they were all dead. Three ponies and a knife were all that remained in the dark gap between worlds. They did not sit and wait for starvation to overtake them willingly, they had become trapped there when one of their number cast a spell that saved all the Multiverse, however he cut out any magic for portals between worlds, creating an eternal peace between the Multiverse, and The Void. The spell also killed anything that lived inside that wished pain against any world. Now it was empty, empty of everything but a few heroes. Bright Haze, the one to doom them all, a Pegasus with the power even Alicorns fear. Heart Breaker, the human turned Alicorn whoes body refused any power, criplling him from magic or flight. Spectra Speed, the true fighter, he could turn into a Demon-like creature at will and had the strength to tear down a mountain, but now sat, emotionally broken from his wife, Rainbow Speed (Was Rainbow Dash), and him now being cut off from his children who lived in Equestria. Finally there was Nick, a talking magical knife with a few issues of personal pride, calling himself Sir Sharply the knife or something ever since his knighthood years before, also holding the record for gfirst knighted knife. Holding the first record of any knife doing anything other than cutting stuff. They four sat or stood in silence, pondering on their current predicerment. It was heart Breaker who eventually broke the silence of the dead Void.

'We have come back from far worse than this.' He muttered, Spectra looked up, eyes red from silent crying, but said nothing.

'How so?' Haze replied slowly, he had been staring into the darkness, where the portal between Equestrian and the Void had once been, now though, darkness.

'Well the human invasion for one, we were vastly outnumbered and still won.' Heart Breaker said.

'I lost my daughter, and my wife that day. Hell I died. Again.' Haze replied quickly, there was anger in his voice, sorrow too. He still didn't move. Silence again.

'Face it guys, everything that has happened with us has lead to somepony dying.' Spectra muttered.

'But nopony died in vein.' Heart replied quickly.

'Tage? Derpy? Rainbow? Aeb? They all died noble deaths did they?' Spectra shouted, his voice echoing into the darkness, the names repeating over and over.

'Aeb did.' Heart grunted quietly.

'He got murdered by that fucking mage dude, Kalmor or whatever the fuck his name was!' Spectra boomed.

'He died fighting Spectra!' Heart shouted back, stomping his hoof down.

'What of the others?' Haze muttered. 'Tage, she wasnt even in school yet and those humanassjoles murdered her. Dee, murdered. Rainbow, she was wounded in battle. She couldn't have been saved, she died in pain, slow, screaming. We were all there.' Haze added, his voice rising a little toward the end. Silence again.

'Ya know, I had a girlfriend back on Earth, back when shit made sense. I had a family, friends. I had a job, good school grades and a great life.' Heart muttered, most likely to himself.

'Then why come here? If you had it all.' Spectra asked, both Haze and Spectra turned toward the Alicorn.

'Becausrpe humans don't like change, or anything different, Haze knows. Most humans, who weren't with us, were terribly, terribly against us. I lost plenty of friends, and loves when I became a Brony, everyone did. Looking at us, we were just another fandom, but for our enemies, we were a treat, a curse, a disease. They didn't like how well our fandom went, so they discriminated us, bullied us to the point where ponies were all we had. Even our fandom wasn't perfect, we had internet based wars with each oother , nearly ever other episode that came on TV was a treat to destroy the fandom, everything was argued over, we never agreed on anything. Its funny though, some say we had enough to create our own community, but in truth we couldn't even care for each other online, if we all ever met in one place there would be fighting. Over little details. Haze, you agree with me right?' Heart said, then looked to the blue colored Pegasus. He paused.

'Yeah, its true, humans are terrible.'

'Are they really that bad, I mean they were bad in their failed invasion, but years ago, when you two lived there, were they really that cruel to each other?' Spectra asked.

'We would start wars with each other with millions of casualties over a disagreement, we were corrupt, destructive, poisonous. We would use nukes on cities to make a point.' Haze muttered, then realized Spectra didn't know what a nuclear bomb was. 'Sorry, a huge weapon that could kill millions and make an area the size ofcanterlot and beyond uninhabitable for years.' Haze added.

'But you two, you're not like that.' Spectra muttered, he looked like he was seeing Haze and Heart for the first time, like they were strangers, the pony with God-like strength was scared of his best friends.

'We had ponies, we had hope that there was something better, that's why I came to Equestrian Spectra, because I found something better. I lost everything when the portal was finished, my friend had spent years perfecting it, and eventually paid the ultamate price. It could only be used once,and was only ever a one-way trip.' Heart Breaker muttered, looking down to the black ground.

'Not every human was destructive, cruel and evil. We had good people, very good people. But good people always seemed to die, while the assholes lived forever.' Haze said. 'We had Faust for one, til she faked her death, she brought hope to so many, despite all our flaws. We had very good people, but eventually Earth must have run out, creating the destructive force they are, or were those moons ago. I wasn't the best deserving person to have a second chance in Equestrian, countless overs should have been allowed. I lied, cheated and hurt most of my life. I shouldn't have come here, yet here I am. Stuck in this hell with my friends. Its not the best way to go, but its still a good way to go as any.' Haze added after a pause.

'What did Earth have that Equestria doesn't? Besides all this war and death? Anything good?' Spectra asked, pushing the subject away from all this grim, sad stuff.

'The internet.' Haze and Heart said at the same time.

'The what?' Spectra asked.

'It was everything basically, a place of knowledge originally, if you didn't know something, search it on the internet, wanted to watch a historical document from years ago, YouTube, a thing on the internet, it got weird eventually however.' Heart replied.

'Weird?' Nick asked, getting involved finally.

'Yeah, childhood stuff would get picked apart, people noticed flaws, adult references. Cats were also a big part of the web, as was porn. Er, recorded sex. Social media, a way to communicate all over the world cropped up. Random shit happened and the internet grew dark areas that people genuinely feared to go. But that is where our fandom of ponies began, on the most weirdest, randomest site on there. It was hell on the web. The place of nightmares. 4Chan.' Haze answered. Heart was smiling, Spectra looked confused and Nick was still a knife.

'Anything else?' Spectra asked.

'Well besides the fact that our time on Earth was a lot more technologically advanced than Equestrian, for us this land is the middle ages, thousands of years before either of us were alive. But Earth doesn't have magic, or rulers like Celestial and Luna. Ours were all voted in, and all twats.' Heart replied.

'We had Fosters beer.' Haze muttered.

'The fuck is that?' Heart and spectra said together, sounding near on the same.

'You don't know what a fosters is?' Haze asked, looking to Heart.

'No, should I?'

'But, its an Ausstrailian beer.'

'I have never heard of it.'

'Well fuck me. Never heard of a Jaffa Cake either?'

'Dude, everyone knows what they are, just they weren't made over where I was, only bullshit branded ones that tasted like crap and I should never have brought them.'

'Ah, I still can't believe you don't know a fosters.'

'What the fuck is a fosters?' Spectra shouted.

'Don't worry about it Spectra.' Haze replied smiling.

'We had Christmas in stead of Hearts Warming Eve.' Heart muttered.

'Yeah but yours was in the fucking summer. During daytime.' Haze replied quickly.

'No, it was still at night like everyone else.'

'Just one the wrong day. And season.'

'I celebrate knifemas.' Nick said, possibly smiling.

'Well then. I guess we are out of normal topics.' Spectra said quickly. Haze turned around quickly.

'What?' Heart asked.

'Shh.' Haze said quickly,quietly. Heart asked again, but stoppedmidway. Spectra then looked where the other two were looking. There was a strange, familiar noise coming from where every pony was looking. It was slowly growing loude and a small purple shape was forming about three feet away from them.

'We may just have resume inbound.' Nick said walking forward to get a better look, the portal was on a continuous him now, formed for the size of a single pony. Nothing happened however.

'Should we go for it?' Spectra asked, Haze was already moving.

'Come on, before the Multiverse changes it's mind!' He shouted, just as he neared the portal however, a pony stepped out. Haze stopped, it wasn't any pony he had ever seen before. It was almost black in colour, it's mane was fairly long and messy, making Hazebelieve it to be a made. She had black and red hair, with orange eyes and a fireball for a cutie mark. She seemed lost.

'Er, hello. I am looking for some pony, can you tell me where I am please?' She asked, her voice was tired and she sounded like she had a cold.

'The Void, the gap between worlds, but this is impossible, no portal can be made any more. I fucked that up.' Haze replied.

'I thought so too.' A familiar voice from the portal said, a second pony stepped through the portal, a much taller, white alicorn with a writers cutie mark, Queen Lauren Faust. By instinct, the four friends bowed. Faust smiled and ushered the up again.

'It is good to see you all again, I am glad you are still alive. If only this were on better terms however.' Faust said.

'Sorry, your highness?' Spectra asked.

'You are all needed back in Equestria, the Void has given the Multiverse another treat, please. Come, I will explain everything soon.'

'Well fuck.' Nick muttered.

'Ah, its better than dying in this shithole. See ya on the other side.' Spectra said and ran through.

'Another day to live through, better get started.' Heart muttered and also ram through.

'For Knifemas!' Nick shouted and disappeared.

'Oh fuck me.' Haze muttered and also ran through, there was a blinding light, then. Nothing.
