Pac-ked in Equestria

In the outskirts of Ponyville, lies a place shrouded in mystery and darkness known as The Everfree Forest. Very few have dared to enter this forbidden place due to the many myths and legends that surround it. The Everfree Ghost is just one of many.

Long ago, when the royal sisters had recently defeated Discord and saved Ponyville, they found themselves confronted with a new foe. The sinister spirit known as Spectrivious had waited for Discord’s reign of supreme power to end so she would then come in to reclaim her title as dictator. Princesses Celestia and Luna resorted to the Elements of Harmony but the ghostly energy from Spectrivious had corrupted them. In a desperate last resort, they turned to a spell created by Starswirl the Bearded in case such a problem would arise. With every ounce of magical energy in their body, they summoned a long forgotten hero from another world. The great wizard Pac happily agreed to assist the royal sisters. With their help, Pac was able to create what he called A Power Berry. It’s properties only affected certain beings from Pac’s world. When devoured, it grants the power of flight and abilities far too powerful for inhabitants of Equestria. Pac used this berry to duel and defeat Spectrivious, permanently banishing her in the Everfree Forest.

“Legend has it that when the planets and stars are perfectly aligned, Spectrivious will awaken and seek revenge on all of Equestria along with the one who currently holds the power of the berries that imprisoned her.” Princess Twilight read aloud, laying in her bed inside her home in Ponyville. She sighed before closing the book in front of her. “Hmm...The great wizard Pac...Could this have actually happened?” she whispered to herself before looking out of her bedroom window towards the direction of the Everfree Forest. For a split second, she swore she could see some trees glowing a faint purple.
