Rainbow Love

Vinyl had just got off the train from her concert in Manehattan, The night air flowing through her bright blue mane . She had caught the early train to Ponyville to surprise Octavia when she got home, she had bought Octavia a silver locked with a picture of them kissing inside it and was excited to give it too her.. When she got home she slowly opened the door trying not to alert her housemate, as she put down her luggage she could hear loud noises that she couldn't quite make out, as she proceeded to go upstairs every step she took the noise got louder. When she reached the top there was a crack of light protruding from the doorway, as she moved closer to it she began to understand what the noises were.

As she looked through the crack her heart sank, tears welling up in her eyes, Octavia saw her and bolted from after her pushing the mare off her. "Vinyl" she shouted "Vinyl, I can explain!", Vinyl only ran faster grabbing her luggage as she bolted out the door, leaving Octavia in tears at her doorstep.

Knowing full well that she wasn't sleeping much tonight, Vinyl checked into a hotel. She had asked for her room to be on the 10th floor or higher, the view was amazing from her room, she could see all of Ponyville from where she was but she didn't want it for the view for it had another purpose. She looked at the locket she was meant to give to her now former lover her tears dripping onto it and rolling off onto the white carpet, she threw it onto the bed and went over to the balcony.

She looked over the railing and stood and took in the view for a moment, she put one leg over the railing tears rushing down her eyes, she closed them and lifted her other leg off the ground when "RING!" she froze and fell back onto the balcony. She quickly got up and went inside wiping the tears from her face as she went to the door, "Hello, is everything in your room alright, I just came to how things were going" said the mare with a cheerful tone, "Uh...yeah everything's fine, thanks" said Vinyl trying to sound happy even though she had almost killed herself. "Okay see you tomorrow" said the mare as she walked back down the hall.
