I can't believe it! How could she use them on me?
As the colors of the Elements overwhelmed her, Nightmare moon let out a scream and vanished into the rainbow blast, which started pulling her dark energy from her. She could no longer fight against their power as it barreled her toward the moon, sealing away her magic in the moon. As she lost consciousness, the last thing she saw was the seal sprouting up from the surface of the moon, large craters forming instantaneously as her magic tried to burst forth to return to her.
She awoke days later, lying in the center of black crater walls looming over her. A splitting headache kept her down for a minute, as though her brain itself were trying to break free from this prison. Waiting for the migraine to disperse, she peered at her surroundings, barely able to open her eyes. Plumes of moon dust still hung in the air from the crash, and the rocky edges of the crater were still settling, rocks tumbling down the walls of her prison. The dust clouded her vision and filled her lungs, causing her to spit and cough as she slowly rose to her hooves.
Hazy memories began flooding her head - The rebellion, the battle, The...
The Elements! Nightmare Moon seethed with rage at the thought of the Elements of Harmony. How could I have doubted their power?! She began stamping her hooves on the rocky ground, kicking up more dust in the process. Every slam of her hooves on the dirt sent pain radiating through her body, but she ignored it as she raised a large cloud around her, obscuring her vision further. She gnashed her teeth, screaming in anger at her defeat. How could I have been so foalish?! She swung her head around violently attempting to blast the dust away so that she may find a more suitable target for her anger. She clenched her eyes, and prepared the spell, only to cast a small light around her. She drained the reserve that she had gained back in those few days she was unconscious, and fell to the floor, exhausted and aching.
She lay there for a couple hours. Or a couple days. She couldn't tell. Time crawled by as she lied there in pain, cursing Princess Celestia for everything. It's all her fault the ponies ignored my night, she is the reason I am trapped here. However, her anger died down eventually, and all that was left was the unbearable silence, and an overwhelming emptiness.
Again, she crawled to her hooves, slowly moving toward the edge of the crater, looking for a way up to the surface of the moon. She tested her wings, nothing was broken, though they were still in pretty bad shape. She quickly decided that was not an option and proceeded to climb the rocky slopes.
After an arduous venture, she finally reached the edge of the crater, and pulled herself up onto the considerably lighter colored surface of the moon. Looking around, she saw that a number of craters formed in the seal, a large crescent pattern as far as she could see, marring the rocky surface. She looked up to see her starry sky overwhelmed by the presence of a large blue and green marble, the planet which housed her subjects. I will return Celestia, and when I do, I will take what is rightfully mine. And in doing so, I will destroy everything you hold dear.
