Two men, both the same person but from different periods in time wandered endlessly through a white abyss of nonlinear time. The were known as Dr. Eggman, the grandson of a brilliant inventor named Gerald Robotnik. Like their grandfather, they had also inherited an extreme gift for intelligence and invention. In fact, the older Eggman's invention was the very reason they were there in the first place... when you get defeated by younger and older versions of your archenemy, Sonic the Hedgehog, while piloting a giant time controlling robot, stuff happens. After a while, they saw a break from all the white. A black portal opened up and swallowed them, sending them back to their own times. "I hate that hedgehog! He'll pay for what happened to me. Now to come up with a plan..." Eggman said when he was back in his headquarters. In a moment, Eggman suddenly got an idea. He didn't know how or why, but nonetheless he now had an idea for a stable dimensional travel device. Perhaps in some other world he could find a powerful ally or tool to use against Sonic? A few weeks later it was all done, and right away his machinery detected a powerful source of energy in another dimension. Packing up with various items to protect himself with as well as an energy collection device, he had the machinery open a portal to it's location, and upon detecting an Earth-like environment on the other side, he went in. What he saw on the other side... was the garden of a grand palace, and the origin of the power signature was an odd statue that looked like an odd assortment of animal parts. "A statue? My instruments led me to a statue?" Eggman could not understand how a statue could be so powerful, but... perhaps he could unseal and collect it's energy? So he proceeded to record it's energy signature and return home. It did not take long, no more than an hour, for the computer to come up with a counter frequency, but when he returned to the garden, there were guard ponies present in the immediate area... "You there! State your business!" one of the ponies said. But actions speak louder than words, and Eggman used a gun out of his pack to stun the guards. Using the main device in his pack, he applied a burst of energy set to the counter frequency that kept the statue's power contained... but instead of the statue being "unlocked" so he could absorb it's energy... The statue's outer stone layer broke off. The very creature the statue was in the form of now stood before Dr. Eggman. "Why thank you, odd creature. It was so unbelievably DULL being stuck like that for so long. What might your name be?" the creature said. "I am the genius Dr. Eggman. I've come to this world to seek help against my adversary, Sonic the Hedgehog. To think, the power source I found here belonged to a living creature... you should be perfect!" The creature, with a smile, replied "I am Discord, the master of Chaos. I would love to meet this 'Sonic', but do I think you will soon regret freeing me." Discord then went on to say "Oh joy, not only do I get to mess with Equestria, but another world as well!". He then smiled his biggest smile ever as he stole all of Eggman's machinery and vanished. One of the pony guards had just woken up and seen Discord vanish as Eggman was left stranded in the garden... Sonic (a blue hedgehog) ran through a green paradise setting, bounced off a bounce pad up to a higher level, ran forward going through a loop, and almost jumped over a pit full of spikes only to fall in and die. The level started over. "My turn, Sonic" Tails (real name Miles Prower, a yellow fox with 2 tails, hence the nickname) said as he picked up the controller. Sonic said "Why would you find those things in nature, anyway?" Their game was stopped by the sound of screaming, outside they saw... Discord, but along the path to him were several human shaped robots that clearly used to be cars... //-------------------------------------------------------// Part 1 Chapter 2: Discord City //-------------------------------------------------------// Part 1 Chapter 2: Discord City STATION SQUARE Sonic faced down a city invaded by robot soldiers that were once human operated modes of transport. "I don't know who this guy is or why he's here, but I'll bet Eggman had something to do with it!" he said as he ran out into the road. STAGE 1: DISCORD CITY Finding his way to the main road, he saw a whole line of car robots and leaped up then launched himself forward to the head of the robot in front. He then jumped off the head and did the same for the rest of them. Each time the robot he landed on exploded, for some odd reason. He continued forward, in the direction of the strange creature, until he reached a city park. For no apparent reason, the park walled itself in as the park furnishings assembled themselves into a warrior shape... An oddly playful voice echoed through the park as the warrior made of picnic tables and park benches and the like turned to face Sonic. "Are you the Sonic that the 'egg man' told me about when he unwittingly freed me?" Sonic replied "What if I am?" with a confident smile. He'd faced tough enemies in the past. What could this mashup of animals do to destroy him that the others could not? "Well, let's see how you handle this little test then" Discord said in a really playful manner. One would almost think he wasn't taking it seriously in the slightest. MINI BOSS: PARK TERROR - BENSON Benson was surprisingly fast considering his mass and form, to the point that it defied realism. Sonic would later learn why that was possible. But still... he was a mass of mostly wood and bolts. He fired rounds of bolts at Sonic, but a moving target is hard to hit. Then he tried to hit Sonic... Sonic ran up his arm and hit his head, a mostly wooden trash can, with a homing attack. The wooden boards flew all over the place as trash fell to the ground. Now without a head, Benson became more animalistic and tried to crush him like a teased gorilla. But a well placed homing attack to the shoulder loosened the fittings keeping his arm on and the same went for the other arm. Desperate to destroy Sonic, Benson tried charging at him, but a jump boost launched Sonic right through his abdomen shattering Benson into a million pieces... and the walls around the park disappeared as mysteriously as they showed up. "Now I see why the egg man hated you so much... so far you've been very entertaining, Sonic" the voice echoed. "You knew my name, so who are you?" Sonic asked the voice. "I'm Discord, the master of chaos, and the fun is just getting started!" Looking forward from the park, Sonic saw a building in his path a block ahead... he would have to go around. There were more of the personified cars... all with the same head trauma weakness. Finally reaching Discord's body he tried to run up it... but it "exploded", knocking him into the building he had to run around. Getting up, he saw a shockwave coming out of the site of Discord's body that warped the city in all kinds of bizarre looking ways as a more human sized Discord appeared in front of him. "Did you really think I would be so easy to defeat, Sonic? Only one thing has actually defeated me, but you'll never find it!" The last part was spoken in a laughing and mocking manner. A plane flew overhead, it was unmistakably the Tornado 2. Seeing the Chaos Emeralds fall down from it, Sonic replied "Don't boast just yet, Discord! Let's see whose chaos is stronger!" The Chaos Emeralds started to glow as they merged with Sonic's body. Sonic's fur and spikes turned a bright yellow as his eyes turned red and his spikes curved upward. He had become Super Sonic. All powered up, Sonic charged at Discord, hitting him hard. Discord flinched from the force of the attack. In response, Discord fired a black and unstable looking beam from his paws... but Sonic kept moving forward, seemingly in a stalemate, until both Discord and Sonic appeared to tire, with Sonic losing his super transformation. The Chaos Emeralds also left his body, scattering all over. "I'm not as strong in your world as I was in mine... easily fixed. See you later, hedgehog! Next time we won't be 'horsing' around." Once again, his line appeared to be less than serious, and given the trend, in a disturbing way too. Discord vanished after saying that. He simply vanished. PONYVILLE Pinkie Pie, a pink pony mare (grown female) with a slightly darker pink mane and tail and a cutie mark (a picture, representing a pony's calling or personality, located on the flank/abdomen) of 3 balloons bounced through town in an almost Pepe Le Pew manner, complete with the carefree and optimistic spirit that accompanies such a form of motion. Reaching her destination, a house that was also a large tree, she knocked on the door, and it was opened by Twilight Sparkle, a purple mare with a dark purple mane and tail and a cutie mark of a bright purple twinkling star with 5 circles orbiting it. "Hey Twilight, would you like to-" is what Pinkie said before being cut off. Twilight looked really worried for some reason. "No time, Pinkie Pie! This is bad, this is really bad!" "What's happening, Twilight?" Pinkie asked, being the sort who was friends with everypony and cared about her friends. "I got a letter from Princess Celestia. Something, a 'human', from another world came to Equestria and unwittingly freed Discord, and nopony knows where he is. He might not even be IN Equestria, but in a place where there's nothing that can stop him!" Pinkie Pie put her hoof behind her side, and then held it in front of her now holding a glass of water. She then took a big sip, spit it out, and said "WHAT?" Twilight continued. "Get the other girls, we've been given 6 tickets to Canterlot and Princess Celestia is trying to prepare a spell that will enable us to go to the human world to stop him. She thinks he might have gone there to cause chaos on it's inhabitants." "Right!" Pinkie Pie went outside, only to look up and see an odd looking sight appearing in the sky... in it she saw a city of some sort above Ponyville, the scene looked like a reflection in water. Rainbow Dash, a cyan pegasus mare with a rainbow mane and tail and a cutie mark of a cloud with a rainbow lightning bolt flew down. "GUYS! Did you see the sky? It's so AWESOME!" Twilight, however, was not so excited at what was happening. "No time... Discord beat us... no time..." Rainbow Dash was not able to ask what Twilight meant by that. A shockwave from the heavenly reflection of Ponyville above Station Square went all the way down to the ground, and the heavenly reflection of Station Square above Ponyville also put out a shockwave that went all the way down to the ground, as everything went black for a moment... Rainbow Dash woke up in a large city. The first living thing she saw was a large blue creature with spiky hair... Sonic woke up in a strangely familiar city with a slightly outdated style... the company that sold "Soap" rail grinding shoes isn't even around anymore. Next to him was a blue pony with a rainbow mane and tail... //-------------------------------------------------------// Part 2 Chapter 1a: Mane City Speedway //-------------------------------------------------------// Part 2 Chapter 1a: Mane City Speedway Rainbow Dash woke up in a large city. The first living thing she saw was a large blue creature with spiky hair... Sonic woke up in a strangely familiar city with a slightly outdated style... the company that sold "Soap" rail grinding shoes isn't even around anymore. Next to him was a blue pony with a rainbow mane and tail... Sonic was sure he had been in this city before... if he remembered right, Shadow had been released and went on a crime spree, causing him to get the blame, and he had to outrun the international military group G.U.N. (Guardian Unit of Nations) through the city. In the end he had to outrun a crazy armored truck, fight a mech suit, and after all that he still failed to escape. But why the advertising for Soap shoes? They ceased production years ago, he barely remembered the advertising for them. He wasn't THAT young when it happened. He's only 15 after all, and would thus have still been a pudgy little kid with short legs if the Soap shoe ads were to be believed. Except, there was also a billboard for Phantasy Star Online for the Sega Dreamcast... the Dreamcast stopped production even earlier than Soap shoes did and Phantasy Star Online was an old series. The original games mostly ran on legacy hardware and servers if they even still ran, and the billboard was for the VERY FIRST GAME. Enough of that, time to stand up and get his bearings. In front of him was a blue pegasus pony with a rainbow mane and tail. He'd seen a lot of odd things, but he had never seen a blue and rainbow pony. Rainbow Dash had never seen a city that looked quite like this. There were odd vehicles all over the place, and the newspaper ads in the newspaper section in front of her showed strange looking creatures in it's photos and drawings. The blue creature wasn't even one of the creatures but had the same general body structure. 2 legs ending in feet instead of hooves, a main body section, 2 arms ending in those... things that were not hooves but were definitely not paws or claws. A head at the top of the body. In addition, unlike the creatures in the newspaper ads, the blue thing's only discernible clothes were shoes and gloves. But the creatures in the ads had hardly any of their bodies visible, seemingly having outfits for all sorts of styles and occasions. Getting back on her hooves, she took a look around... this was definitely not any city she had seen before. Could the image in the sky have been a different world? Seeing that Rainbow Dash was back on her feet, Sonic looked at her with a smile. "Good to see you're ok. After that image of a village appeared in the sky above the city of Station Square and everything went black I wasn't sure if anyone else survived. But this city is completely different than Station Square..." Rainbow Dash was a little surprised, she had never seen such a being before so hearing it... him... talk was another strange thing. "Huh? Wait, you saw a village in the sky above a city? But I saw a city in the sky above Ponyville!" Wait, if the pony had seen a city above her village... perhaps the village in the sky was the "Ponyville" she spoke of? "Interesting... that Discord guy I fought earlier said something about horsing around, with an emphasis on the word 'horsing', and that he wasn't as strong in my world as he was in his own world. Would you know anything about him?" Rainbow Dash's eyes opened wide the moment she heard that name. "Discord? Twilight- my friend was in a panic, saying something about him just before everything went black and I got sent here! If he's the reason we're here, we have a common enemy!" "You may have a point. What's your name? I'm Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog." Sonic put out his hand, offering a hand... hoof... whatever shake. "Rainbow Dash, the fastest flyer in Equestria!" Rainbow Dash returned the favor. Sonic looked forward. "We won't get very far just standing here. How about we check this place out? You said you're a fast flyer? Well they don't call me 'Sonic' for nothing." Sonic prepared himself for a running start, with a friendly but slightly competitive smile. Rainbow Dash liked those words. "Finally, somepony who speaks my language!" she said as she opened up her wings and prepared for a takeoff. ESCAPE FROM THE CITY (Sonic Adventure 2) Youtube Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmVagnlM-Ys) Sonic and Rainbow Dash shot forward down the sloped road, turning off to the right after a bit as to go any further forward would ram them into a building. Going further led to another turn or 2, as they went down that path there was a billboard for an old movie called "Chao in Space 2". A couple of turns not unlike the shape of an "S" block from Tetris and they went forward, going over an overlook area looking over a parklike lower level. On the wall were missing posters for Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel, as well as wanted posters for Bean the Dynamite, Bark the Polar Bear, and Fang the Sniper, who also had the alias "Nack the Weasel". Rainbow Dash got a brief lead, since Sonic was held back by gravity. But he soon caught up with her as he followed the path (with a billboard for a very early 2000s looking poster for the movie "Planet of the Chaos" and a poster for the Sega Saturn game "NiGHTS into DREAMS" along the way) through an elegant city park leading to... a loop just like he saw in that game Tails found featuring him. Having little choice but to go forward, he hoped for the best... The loop led straight down a wall. At the bottom were some powerful diagonal springboards, though why they were there was a mystery. Rainbow Dash caught him on his way back down, though, a fortunate thing. Ahead was a path to a downward walkway, then an upward stairway leading to a barricaded wall with a narrow crawl space under it... if Sonic remembered this right, having gone through this place twice... the second time because of a time travel adventure... EVENT 5 - THE PAST (Sonic Adventure) Youtube Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJyY45iWT84) "Rainbow Dash, do you see a large truck anywhere?" Sonic asked. She replied with "What's a truck?" "A large metal vehicle, very powerful and tough." "No, but I do see a long road leading to another city ahead." Rainbow Dash replied as she looked beyond the wall. "Wait... if the incline isn't there... then perhaps this actually isn't my world... that city ahead looks familiar as well too, but it was never anywhere near where we are." Sonic then went under the barricade as Rainbow Dash flew over the wall, following the road as the buildings got less frequent... until they went into a small market out of hunger as well as for a rest. Sonic was not usually one to steal, but they were hungry and it wasn't like there would be any people around to object, considering how things were going so far. -MEANWHILE- LAZY DAYS (Livin in Paradise) Youtube Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krGOVc8zomI) In some overgrown ruins, a big purple cat (coincidentally named Big the Cat) had a small simple home by the river that had long ago become part of the jungle that now dominated an ancient city, formerly inhabited by echidnas, but with a resemblance to the ancient human city of Tikal. Big was accompanied by a frog, named Froggy, who was his best friend in the world. Though one has to wonder about someone whose best friend is a frog... Big was coming back from his fishing trip with a container of his next meal when he found a winged gray pony with a blond mane and tail. Carefully he picked her up and carried her to his home, putting her on his usual spot where she could get some shelter. Eventually she came to, her eyes were a blend of yellow and orange, and seemingly not properly aligned. Upon seeing she was awake, Big said "Oh, you're awake, little pony. Me and my friend found you knocked out in the jungle, where you might be in danger. So we took you here where you would be safer." "Who are you? Where are we?" the pony asked Big. "I'm Big the Cat" he replied, and showing her the frog said "and this is my friend Froggy. My home is in some old place, I think I heard the human explorers call it the Mystic Ruins. What is your name?" The pony replied "My name is Derpy. Nice to meet you!" She then asked "What is a human?" Not sure how exactly to reply, Big's best reply was "Umm... some creature. Mostly hairless bodies, almost like a hairless ape." Derpy's eyes opened wide with childlike enthusiasm, as if she had just been told about a fairytale fantasy creature. "Are they still here?" Looking at her like in disappointment, he told her "Sadly no, they aren't here right now." Derpy was understandably disappointed by this news, but as she got up she felt something moving around in her saddle bag. Releasing it she took out a large blue gem and stared at it. "What a nice gem" she said in amazement. In a rare moment of insight into the modern world, Big gave her a piece of advice. He told her "If you sold that, you could probably buy whatever you needed." Anything she needed... Derpy liked the sound of that. "Muffins?" Big answered that with a nod saying yes. "I don't know how you got here, but please stay a little while and eat." Big couldn't let his new friend leave hungry. -BACK IN THE OUTSKIRTS OF THE CITY- Sonic and Rainbow Dash resumed their expedition, as they went up a hill. What they saw was a road going downhill... and that the city ahead was a whole land level lower than the one they had left. The city itself was also a lot flashier than the previous one too. And Sonic knew for a fact he had been here before, twice in fact, and again the second time was because of Eggman's time travel plot. RUN THROUGH THE SPEED HIGHWAY (Sonic Adventure) Youtube Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJoboJKdG9A) The long, downwardly inclined road was winding and wavy and weaving, but that was the least of his worries as the Cop Speeders (flying saucer like robots, though grounded, that resembled a cross between a policeman and his car) made their triumphant return. Sonic couldn't help but notice this city had posters and ads for Chao in Space, the first movie, promoting it as if it were new (when the previous city was promoting Chao in Space 2 in the same manner). Finding a road oddly ending at a building top which had a rocket with handles near the edge, Sonic took a chance and grabbed the handles. The rocket took off and led him to a road seemingly starting in the middle of nowhere, it's edge suspended over the city below. Rainbow Dash was quick to follow him. Once again, the road wound and weaved and waved, in the distance off to the side was a tall building with a brilliantly lit replica of NiGHTS's head. At the end of the road was another rocket, which led Sonic to the top of another tall building... with a path curving down. [BGM STOPS] "Well Dash, are you ready?" Sonic asked as he prepared to do something nopony who didn't have wings would do back in Rainbow Dash's world. Rainbow Dash was understandably alarmed. "Are you crazy? You could get killed!" Sonic on the other hand, was not too bothered. "Hey, if things go wrong, I have you to catch me." Not entirely relieved, but seeing his point, Rainbow Dash replied "Can't argue with that, I guess. I don't feel entirely right with this though..." "Well third time's a charm!" GOIN' DOWN? (Sonic Adventure) Youtube Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqdUZJxMJEc) Sonic started down the building's side, dodging pillars joining it to the building across from it, and shattering the glass ceilings in front of him just with his speed as he jumped off and his fall was barely broken by an indoor garden. Rainbow Dash had never seen anypony pull off such a crazy stunt without wings. RUN THROUGH THE SPEED HIGHWAY (Sonic Adventure) Youtube Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJoboJKdG9A) The two of them went through a parking garage full of police cars, which Rainbow Dash could tell had some form of authority even though she had never seen them before. AT DAWN (Sonic Adventure) Youtube Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snqQlTaXsTc) Upon reaching the outside world again... they saw something that Sonic had never seen before. To all appearances, it was Manhattan. Manhattan from a slightly simpler time, but it looked like Manhattan. Except... every single statue and image was of a pony. In fact, everything seemed to be made for a 4 legged body structure or at least to accommodate one. Sonic could not help but ask "Where are we?" Rainbow Dash looked around... the large pony statue in the distance wearing robes while holding up a torch with one hoof looked familiar. "I think we're in Manehattan" she replied. Of course Sonic had never heard of such a place. "Manehattan? I know of a city called Manhattan and it kind of looks like this place, but I guess this place is from your world." They went as far as a city park, where they saw an unusual sight accompanied by an unusual sound. The sound was an odd sound, possibly painful to anyone who works with anything like cars or anything else with an engine or motor As it could be heard, a blue phone booth, apparently one for calling the police, appeared out of literally nothing and nowhere. The door swung open as a brown pony with blue eyes, probably a male as it looked more manly (by pony standards) than Rainbow Dash, came out, and on it's flank was a picture of an hourglass. As he looked at the scenery, he seemed worried, and in a British accent, said "Well this isn't Ponyville." //-------------------------------------------------------// Part 2 chapter 1b: Doctor... who? //-------------------------------------------------------// Part 2 chapter 1b: Doctor... who? Sonic and Rainbow Dash stared at the sight, as the British accented pony with the brown mane and tail and the hourglass cutie mark stepped out of the police phone booth. "Well I've seen you before, Rainbow Dash. But I don't think I've seen your friend" the brown pony said. Rainbow Dash -thought- she recognized him, he looked an awful lot like the Ponyville timekeeper, Time Turner. But his voice, accent, and seemingly everything non-visual about him had changed. "Dr. Hooves, what's that blue box of yours?" she asked. "Doctor... who? No, just the Doctor. And the police box? I thought you knew. It's the TARDIS. Time and Relative Dimensions in Space. But it seems to have been acting strange ever since odd activity pulled me into this world." "Doctor... who?" Sonic asked, having never met a doctor with no given name. It also sounded rather odd that another pony would look EXACTLY like the "Dr. Hooves" Rainbow Dash mentioned. "And how has your... TARDIS been acting strange?" "No, just the Doctor. Who are you?" The Doctor addressed the question to Sonic. "I'm Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog." "Well, I was on my way to visit my companion, Clara, for our weekly adventure when the TARDIS's sensors detected unusual activity. But before anything else could be found out or done, whatever created the activity pulled the TARDIS in, and next thing I know, I'm in Equestria, my human looking form changed back into the pony form I have here. All attempts to leave, with or without time travel, just bring me to different places." This all sounded very odd and unbelievable to Rainbow Dash, though. She knew the pony with the brown coloring and hourglass cutie mark. Why would he suddenly be a time traveler with a Trottingham accent? "This makes no sense! What happened to you? And what is a human?!" "Well... a human looks... sort of like a mostly hairless ape with the ability to walk totally upright, although they usually wear clothing." "Huh? How could such a ridiculous sounding creature exist?" To Rainbow Dash, the very notion sounded silly. -Meanwhile, on an island in the sky- 3 ponies of varying size with unicorn horns and pegasus wings, and a bald man in a red coat and black pants with a large red mustache and egg shaped body were among ancient ruins. The bald man was none other than Doctor Eggman from earlier. Eggman wasn't sure WHY he and the ponies, 2 of which had been his captors were on the island, but if their story was to believed, Discord had to do with it. Additionally the island looked very similar to Angel Island from his world. They were following a gleam in the center of the ruins. Sure enough, it was a small part of the Master Emerald. A discovery that was completely useless without Knuckles (a red echidna) present to do anything about it. But there was one of his aircrafts crashed on the island, it must have fallen onto the island amidst the chaos brought about by Discord. "A craft from the Egg Fleet! Maybe we can use it to see if anybody can be contacted!" But the tall white pony, Princess Celestia, was slightly worried. The thing was partially damaged, and the last act Eggman had done had caused this whole mess. "Are you sure this is a good idea?" "Now, now, Your Highness. My last action was out of ignorance of your world. But this island and that aircraft are from my world. I'm sure I know what I am doing this time." Going to the aircraft, he switched on the com system. Luckily, it still worked. "If anyone is able to receive this transmission, this is Dr. Eggman..." Back in what remained of Manehattan, the Doctor heard a notification sound coming from the TARDIS control room. Rushing in, he turned on the communication system and after listening to the transmission, called for Sonic and Rainbow Dash to follow. "Whoa! It's bigger on the inside!" Sonic said, as Rainbow Dash just looked at how much bigger the interior was and said "Oh... my...". The Doctor, having gotten such reactions from his guests for centuries, stayed on topic and asked "I'm getting a transmission from a man calling himself Dr. Eggman. Apparently he and Princesses Celestia, Luna, and Cadance are on a place called Angel Island. He says someone called Discord is behind this. He also says this world seems to be a combination of his world and Equestria." "Discord again!" Sonic and Rainbow Dash could not help but reply. "Additionally, he seems to be uncomfortably asking for help from you, Sonic. As for you, Rainbow Dash, he mentioned the Elements of Harmony." Rainbow Dash's ears perked up upon hearing that. "Of course. That's what sealed Discord away last time. It should be as easy as going to Canterlot, right?" After a brief pause, she added "But they still need my 5 friends to work." "But first we'll have to find where Canterlot is now." "Hey, Doctor, you think that if this world is made from my world and Rainbow Dash's world, that you might be from another world as well?" Sonic asked the Doctor. "That would explain why I would look so much like that Dr. Hooves fellow but be so different. Perhaps other 'alternate' variations of individuals from your worlds are in this world as well? In any case, we should follow that transmission to it's source. Could one of you close the doors?" Sonic closed the doors, and the TARDIS vanished from Manehattan, rematerializing on Angel Island where Dr. Eggman and the Princesses watched in surprise as the TARDIS appeared out of nowhere. -Meanwhile, elsewhere in Discord's new world- Tails found himself on a platform high in the clouds. This place looked rather familiar, like he had been here in the past, but the abundance of other, more intact and somewhat out of place structures among the ancient temple ruins seemed to say he was not in quite the same place. Some of the other structures looked fairly modern even. He saw a purple unicorn next to him waking up, and they both stared at each other in surprise. Fluttershy (a yellow pegasus mare with a cute pink mane and tail, and a cutie mark of 3 pink and blue butterflies) woke up in front of a large jungle looking half like the Everfree forest, but it also looked unfamiliar and new and was full of ancient waterlogged ruins. Next to her was a large bipedial rabbit with a red dress, that had large ears and a coat of cream and orange fur. Amy (a pink hedgehog girl in a red dress) came to as she saw she was in an oddly familiar place. 2 oddly familiar places? She saw a green jungle area, and then the metal and concrete of... old Station Square, as it looked back before Chaos attacked? She was even in front of Twinkle Park, and with her was a pink pony with a picture of 3 balloons on it's flank. Applejack (a cream-orange Earth Pony mare with a blond mane, cowboy hat, and a cutie mark of 3 apples) found herself in what appeared to be... a large sandy resort area surrounded on one side by water. With her was a large red creature with dreadlock hair. Rouge (a black winged bat with a white furry head and seemingly a hairless body covered by clothing) found herself with a white unicorn that had a beautiful purple mane and a picture of 3 diamonds on her(?) flank. They were in what appeared to be a jewel mine with no way out except upwards and through. -Back in the Mystic Ruins- Big and a fully fed Derpy went through the ruins to find the way back out of the jungle. Big seemed surprised as he looked and saw a familiar sight, the large ancient temple in the center of the city, was missing. But that was not important right now. As he led Derpy back out to the main island, he saw strange sights beyond the familiar island area. Next to Tails' workshop was a simple but elegant wooden cottage with various homes for small animals, and beyond what was once the cliff face of his island was a tropical region with many palm trees, wooden bridges, and large flowers. His home island was now part of large hilly area covered in greenery. //-------------------------------------------------------// Part 2 chapter 2: Cloudsdale Valley Sanctuary //-------------------------------------------------------// Part 2 chapter 2: Cloudsdale Valley Sanctuary Tails looked around, seemingly remembering parts of this place in the sky from past adventures, while also seeing what appeared to be parts of a large and fairly modern city, and in the distance was a factory that seemed to be puffing out clouds. Not clouds of pollution, but rather clouds of condensed water vapor. How that could possibly work or even be needed when water naturally evaporated, rose into the sky, and condensed into clouds containing rain, snow, or hail was beyond him... There was also the matter of the purple unicorn with him, who getting back on her hooves almost screamed when she saw they were on a large ancient-style stone platform in the sky, one of many such pieces of land or ancient ruins linked together with each other and to what looked like Cloudsdale by sections of clouds. “Where,,, are we? Did Discord destroy the world? Are we standing on what's left of it” she said almost in a fright. A unicorn was one thing Tails had not seen before... but unicorn or not, he had also never seen a talking horse. “You can talk?” he asked. “Why wouldn't I be able to talk, and did Discord destroy the world or are we just somewhere up in the sky?” Twilight could only reply to such an absurd question as to whether a pony could talk or not. Tails, not entirely sure how to reply tried to calm the unicorn down. “I don't know. Sonic talked about a stalemate with something or somebody named Discord, but I've never heard of him before. All my attempts to find information on him failed too. Sorry to ask a strange question, too. It's just that where I come from, horses can't talk.” Twilight, if anything, found that information more discouraging, as the probability the... fox (?) she was with was not from her world but the “human” world that the “eggman” came from meant that this whole situation was definitely Discord's doing. “I was in Ponyville, I had gotten a letter from Princess Celestia that a human 'Eggman' from another world had unwittingly freed Discord, an ancient and powerful being with the ability to cause all kinds of chaos, and that Discord had vanished. Not long afterward, strange things happened. My friends saw something in the sky, and then... there was a shock wave, nothing destructive, but something that I still felt going through my body with a lot of force. Then I was here in what partially looks like Cloudsdale.” “Dr. Eggman caused this? He must have tried to find a weapon or ally to use against Sonic again! But I guess that didn't turn out well, as usual. We won't get anywhere by standing here and talking about it though, so how about we introduce ourselves? I'm Miles Prower, though most call me Tails.” Tails offered his hand to Twilight, to sort of offer whatever you call a handshake when one of the “hands” is a hoof. “Twilight Sparkle” she said as she gave him her hoof for a moment. “So this Dr. Eggman was going to try and use Discord as a weapon against this... Sonic? There isn't much we can do about it right now though. We should at least try and find out where we are”. Tails was about to step off the stone platform, when Twilight stopped him. “Tails, don't go any farther! Only Pegasi can walk on clouds without magic.” Twilight's horn started glowing, and the glow started to surround them both. Twilight then walked over the stretch of clouds, showing that whatever she had done was working, and Tails followed after her. They saw a large and somewhat Roman looking ruin covered in vines and leaves, but only a few feet away from it was a fairly modern house made partially out of oddly solid clouds and partially of fairly modern building materials, with a pond made of... liquid rainbow? “So much like Cloudsdale, yet so different...” Twilight said. “The ruined structures look like something from Angel Island's Sky Sanctuary, but the large stretches of green ahead look like Windy Valley... almost as if they are all here just because of a single theme...” Noting the odd look of the Cloudsdale house, Tails said “I guess weather works differently in your world, I saw what looked like a factory making rain clouds.” A sound started coming from a device on Tails' wrist, as the display showed their location, and a point somewhere at the far end of this new place. Figuring whatever it was leading them to must be powerful, Tails said “The tracker says it's detecting something in this place. Whatever it is, it might be of use to us.” With that, the 2 of them started off in it's direction. SKY SANCTUARY – ACT 2 NORMAL SPEED (Sonic Generations) Youtube Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3_E9Cuf5Fk) The scenery was nothing less than exotic, as various vines, plants, and tropical birds showed nature was reclaiming the more ancient parts of the new city, while the occasional stretch of greenery showed Windy Valley had an influence on the look too in addition to the city made of clouds. But it still was a snapshot of 2 points in time, as it was Sky Sanctuary from years ago and Windy Valley from less years ago, very much as he remembered it when he raced Sonic to find the Chaos Emerald. They ran across stone ruins, the cloud road disappearing as the stone appeared, as Twilight, in a panic, fired a beam of magic at a metal creature with an egg-shaped body that narrowly missed them with an odd weapon. Even Dr. Eggman's robots from that time were very much present here. Going further, they came across something that caused Twilight a bit of trouble though. An emptiness, crossed only by 3 clouds, separated them from a beautiful plaza with a fountain that still ran after who knows how long. Tails knew how to cross it without flight. But would Twilight believe it? Looking at Twilight, he said “Don't worry, the clouds are like trampolines. They'll bounce you across. All it takes is courage and confidence!” Looking down, Twilight was more concerned by the fall if her aim was off. “But... what if I miss?” Being able to fly, and knowing Twilight probably never had to deal with such obstacles before Tails figured that might be too much for her. “I could try to you across then. Though I admit a horse is something I never had to lift before.” “I'm a pony.” Twilight said nervously, before continuing with “But I think I understand what you're saying.” Tails awkwardly picked up Twilight and jumped... hoping he was able to land on the first cloud. He almost didn't make it. But Twilight's added weight was more than enough to get them sprung across from one cloud to the next and to the other side... of the gap. Not the other side that most who are healthy dread going to. The fountain, while somewhat eroded, was very beautiful. There were also some Egg Robos. But a well timed jump from Tails and some magic shots from Twilight got rid of them. Going further, there was a small green field, clearly from Windy Valley, but full of the ruins of the Sky Sanctuary. A large robotic centipede with the ability to emit flames WOULD have been threatening if a unicorn was not present. The path led to a large circular road going up around an antiquated building. Tails knew exactly what that meant. “Twilight, whatever you do, don't stop running until I do!” he said as they ran in circles around the structure until they eventually hit something odd. A large red spring-loaded item that shot them over to a section of what was likely mostly Cloudsdale. The signal went in a straight line, going through what looked like the factory from earlier that was making the rain clouds. Curious as to how one manufactured weather, Tails went in to have a look, while Twilight figured that since she had been through the tour herself she might as well tell him how it worked. That sounds like a lot of work...” “Hoof made, and It is, but it's not like where you come from, in which nature runs itself. I'd love to see your 'solar system' for myself.” Twilight was fascinated at the prospect of seeing an ecosystem that could sustain itself so long as it's inhabitants didn't cause any serious harm to it. Actually there was one exception that in Equestria. “Actually there is the Everfree Forest. It has clouds that move by themselves and animals that handle themselves, but it isn't exactly the safest place to be.” “The Everfree Forest?” Tails asked. “It's an odd place full of dangerous creatures, and few if anypony know much about. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna used to have their palace there, but it's been abandoned for centuries in favor of a different location. Would you like to continue the tour?” Later, Twilight and Tails left through another part of the factory, their target being in the direction of what was clearly dominated by Windy Valley. The windmills and robotic animals were all there as were the artificial structures made of more natural materials. WINDY VALLEY 3 (Sonic Adventure) Youtube Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFDfoXSQ2zc) Ignoring the monkey robots, hey ran forward to get a good jump on a conveniently placed trampoline, which pushed them up to a higher level, and judging from the apparent age of the bridge ahead, they would have to run to get across it. Sure enough, if Twilight had been any slower, she would have fallen off. They ended up going inside a natural looking vertical tube, but in was a large fan that blew them up onto another spring, where they saw a panel on the ground that said “1”. There were 4 more, labeled “2”, “3”, “4”, and “5”. After Tails demonstrated that if you jump REALLY fast, the panels can get you places quickly and safely, Twilight ignored her concerns and used the panels herself. That led to a situation even she had a hard time believing. They were on an island suspended in the air, nothing joining it to anything but a long tunnel of wind. “Just trust me, Twilight. The tunnel is perfectly safe. You just need to keep moving forward and you won't fall.” “If... you... say... so...” worrying that her fears may be justified after all, she took off running into the wind tunnel, as Tails followed after her. The 2 of them were surprisingly safe, arriving at was clearly another piece of Sky Sanctuary, but was built around a piece of Windy Valley and lined with buildings from Cloudsdale. There was a long ramp going in various directions, and the target was not that much further away. “I think it's at the end of that long ramp. It's really close now.” Twilight was getting hungry, though, and tired. “Can't we rest a little? At least long enough to let my legs and hooves relax?” “If you need to, it is all downhill but a break would probably help.” After Twilight's legs recovered, they followed the twisting downhill ramp to... Rainbow Dash's house? In the yard was a piece of a green gem, apparently a large gem at that. The gem started glowing when Twilight and Tails had both touched it, and a sound nobody who worked with machinery would enjoy could be heard as a British police box appeared in front of them. Out came Rainbow Dash and Sonic, as well as a pony that looked just like Dr. Hooves. “Tails! You made it!” “Twilight, you're all right!” //-------------------------------------------------------// Part 2 Chapter 3b: Dan vs Sonic and Ponies Part 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Part 2 Chapter 3b: Dan vs Sonic and Ponies Part 2 “Holy--- that's a BIG cat!” Dan looked at the sight before him. That adorable but brain-dead wall eyed gray horse was accompanied by a giant purple cat that looked equally as braindead as her. “No time, derps. We have enough going on right now and I doubt you two can help.” Derpy and Big on the other hand, were not so easily turned off by such sentiment. Big replied with “What seems to be the problem?” and Derpy could not help but ask “Are you sure I can't help?” Dan was no less unconvinced of their uselessness though. “Can you move Ponyville back where it was?” After asking that, though, Queen Chrysalis cut in with “While I doubt it bothers Dan, everypony but Dan, Fluffle Puff, and myself, as well as the 2 of you, is missing.” “Missing?” Big asked, having not noticed it himself as not many people, of ANY species lived near his place. He had certainly noticed the geography of the Mystic Ruin area had changed... but that was about it from his perspective. “Oh...” Derpy said, before remembering something. “I saw a shine coming from the fountain, Big! Maybe it has something to do with the disappearances!” Did Dan just hear Derpy say something... brilliant? “Maybe that's why everybody is missing and Ponyville is god knows where! But if I find out who did this...” The last part was in Dan's usual vengeful tone that indicated anyone implied to be on the receiving end was going to suffer. Which earned Dan an odd look from Chrysalis. “What?” he said. “Do you think that if nobody is here to make food or furniture, life will be EASIER?” -AT THE FOUNTAIN- Big and Derpy, along with Dan (and Mr. Mumbles, he would never be parted with her again), Chrysalis, and Fluffle Puff, went to the fountain, when Fluffle Puff made one of her usual excited gasps and jumped into the fountain, emerging from the water with a green piece of a presumably once-larger jewel in her mouth. The jewel piece began to glow bright as the TARDIS could be heard and indeed, the TARDIS showed up in the immediate area. Rainbow Dash came out along with the Doctor... who noticed that Derpy was nowhere near as excited as he was expecting her to be upon seeing him. “Hey guys!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed. “And fluffy pony... and I guess a human... and Changeling queen?!” “Oh, hello Rainbow Dash.” Chrysalis said, seemingly showing no hostility at all. “You're not fooling me. I don't know how you got back into Equestria, but you're going back where you came from!” Rainbow Dash hoped her bluff would fool Chrysalis, since she did not currently have the Elements of Harmony with her. Dan, not sure what changed Rainbow Dash, nonetheless felt there was already enough confusion that this was more chaos in his life than he needed right now. “Rainbow Dash! Stop! I don't know how you forgot the whole situation, but I, Chrysalis and Fluffle Puff live with Twilight Sparkle and that giant princess horse of yours is okay with it!” “Huh? I'm confused now.” Rainbow Dash had just been fed a big load of the strangest story she ever heard in what looked like Ponyville... was it her Ponyville that the TARDIS had arrived in or was it another one? “Who are you and this 'Fluffle Puff' then? Also, who is the huge cat?” The large purple cat answered "I'm Big. Big the Cat." Reaching into Derpy's saddle bad and getting out a frog, he said "And this is my pal Froggy." "JERK" then proceeded to tell Rainbow Dash “I'm Dan, I got sent here when my friend's wife had me test a portal and now I live in a vomit inducingly colorful land full of talking rainbow horses. And Fluffle Puff is a puffball I rescued from some perverse purple haired lookalike of the giant horse princess you call Celestia. ” The creature with the JERK shirt's words seemed to indicate she was in A Ponyville... but not the one Rainbow Dash knew. “Fine then, Dan. But if Chrysalis starts anything...” Rainbow Dash gestured, indicating they could all board the blue phone booth that was larger on the inside. Derpy, though, just looked at the whole scene and said “What just happened?” As they boarded the TARDIS, the Doctor turned to Derpy and said “Hello, Ditzy. How have you been?” But her reply to him was “Don't you know my name, Dr. Hooves? It's Derpy... and where did you learn the cool accent?” “Oh I always had the accent, I thought you might have been my assistant back in the Equestria I know. Well, pleased to meet you. She was in a fancy big city resort of some kind, and it was a bit warmer than it usually was back in Ponyville. She was not sure what the red creature with was supposed to be... but he might be in need of an escape from the midday heat. There was a door to the inside of the resort ahead of her... but no discernible way to open the door. “Now how in tarnation am I supposed to open that?” she wondered out loud as she approached the doors, only to see them open on their own. “What the hay?” she said in response to the sight. But that was not important right now. Going back to her new companion, she lifted him up on her back and carried him inside on her back to find a really fancy hotel lobby. Out the doors, beyond the hotel was a large fancy city, in which she saw a place called Twinkle Park. There was also a shirt, a large shirt for a creature of some sort that she had never seen before that said “I [heart shape] Station Square”... but wherever this Station Square was happened to be of secondary concern to her until she helped the red creature. In the meantime, she couldn't help but wonder what happened to the other residents of the place. Why would the entire city, as she had seen so far, be empty save for her and the red feller? Now that she and the red feller were in a cooler, shadier place, she did her best to gently ease and lower him off her back and onto a very cool and shady spot in the hotel lobby. While doing so, she noticed a nice looking hat, like a cowboy's hat, with a blue stripe, yellow circles, and red stars in the yellow circles... though the brim did hide those nice details a little. It was a very stylish hat regardless. She was not one to steal. However, none of the city's inhabitants were anywhere to be seen, except for him perhaps. She reckoned the hat would look mighty fine on him. Eventually he woke up. “Huh... what? Where is this place?” he wondered as he thought he saw a place that was destroyed some amount of time ago. That was when he saw an orange creature resembling a horse walk up to him, open it's mouth, and say “Howdy stranger. How are you feeling?”. Applejack's warm greeting did not immediately get the warm reception she had expected. The red feller looked at her with a mild amount of suspicion and said “Why should I answer that? Where is this place? And why does it look I'm in a place I couldn't possibly be?" Applejack was shocked a bit at how he reacted but put on her guard. “Ah saw you lying on the ground outside and took you in here. The least you could do is thank me for helping.” However, he raised his spiked fist up and glared, with more suspicion about her. What had he been doing before she found him unconscious? Youtube Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yy0qhmEUFsI) MASTER EMERALD GUARDIAN - KNUCKLES THE ECHIDNA Applejack noted he was clearly more of a fist fighter, judging from the fact he was wearing fighting gloves and had those spikes in his gloves and possibly on the paws under them. She managed to dodge a punch from one of the fists, and while she didn't WANT to fight him she would be one foalish pony not to defend herself. Managing to raise up her foreleg, she struck him enough to knock him back a little without hurting him much if at all. She stood in front of him, still on guard. “Ah don't want to hurt you fella. What happened that would get you all riled up?” “After what happened to me, prove you're the reason for all the troubles I've had today!” He tried to attack her again and again, but all she did was either dodge or block, sometimes attacking only to push him away without hurting him much if at all. Perhaps there was truth to her words? Knuckles had never seen anything like her... but she was all he had to trust. He'd been screwed by Eggman enough to not immediately believe everything she may or may not tell him. But he couldn't abandon the only person in the whole area. Additionally... what could a horse do to hurt him? Even a normal horse was probably nothing compared to him. I'll test you out, for the time being.” Offering the horse his hand, he said “I'm Knuckles. Knuckles the Echidna”. Putting her front hoof in his hand, Applejack replied with “glad we were able to get past this ugly patch. ah'm Applejack... by the way, ah found something that might look good on you.” With those words, Applejack went for the hat she had found and handed it to him... by holding the string that holds it around your neck by her teeth. Given what had just happened though, it didn't necessarily mean she was about to give him her full trust. Besides, if he tried to attack her again, she kicked harder things than him for a living. “Um, thanks." he said with a hint of a smile as he put it on, with the hat itself dangling against his back. “Don't mention it, sugarcube. As for where we are, ah've never heard of this Station Square place. Would you be able to tell me?” Pausing for a moment, Knuckles thought of how to explain it to her. “Some time ago, Station Square was a city along the coastline. A scientist called Dr. Eggman, hoping to unleash a powerful weapon, released an ancient guardian. But the guardian he released was still bitter over what it had been through a long time ago. It's final attack took place here and caused a lot of destruction.” “If what ya are sayin' is true, then this place should all torn up!” Applejack wasn't quite sure if she should believe his story. Why would anypony readily believe that the pristine city surrounding them was wrecked so badly? “It was... I wish I knew how what was going on, and how we got here.” A small tingle... Knuckles felt a familiar sensation. “Applejack. We may be able to find out after all!” Walking towards the door to the swimming pool, a long coastline laid ahead of them. ******************** Youtube Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQQNnyxpilA) They headed out to see shaded tables, as well as trees with metal monkeys and cannon armed self propelled wagons. But that was the least of their worries... for whatever bizarre reason a stretch of the wooden walkway the sandy path led to was separated by a lot of water. The only way over there that they could see without getting soaked was a mechanism that appeared to be a really fancy spring thingy. “Now tell me again why we're doin' this?” “Somewhere in this area is a piece of the Master Emerald. Besides, if this doesn't work, I'll be in danger too.” Knuckles jumped on the spring mechanism and was shot across to the other stretch of wooden walkways. Seeing that it appeared to work, Applejack did the same.... and landed at the other end, on 3 of her hooves, falling forward. “So that's what Pinkie Pie meant by 'everypony do the flop'..” She looked up to see Knuckles offer her his paw, and giving him her hoof she got back on all 4 hooves maybe 4 seconds faster than she normally would have. Knuckles was curious as to who this Pinkie Pie was. “Pinkie Pie?” “One of my friends. But we ain't got time to discuss that now if what you need is so close.” The wooden path went further, when the 2 of them were suddenly pushed forward off a jump ramp  by a powerful conveyor belt, off to another wooden path over deep water. It looked pretty safe from there, but... After a while the boarding started to shake. “What the hay?” Applejack could only say in shock as a large whale started jumping in the path of the boarding. The only thing Knuckles could say to that was “Run!” The whale seemed to chase them through 2 path turns and another conveyor belt assisted jump across another wooden path until they reached a land mass on the other end of the sea water. Nothing spectacular could be seen for a bit until they found an ancient building on the island among all the sand. Youtube Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxSIFDYY6bs) Wondering if they would have to go through the sandy ruins, Applejack asked “What's your feeling tellin' ya about this emerald piece now?” The feeling being positive, Knuckles told her “Yes. I think I've also been here before too. It looks like an ancient city from my home.” “Well, whatever brings us closer to answers is worth a look. Let's so!”. Applejack took the lead in heading out to the ancient city. However a seeming obstacle came in the form of a wall they suddenly hit, only to be bounced into a wall of rising sand(?) which lifted them up to the ruins themselves. The path forward went briefly inside to a room with spikes on the ceiling, and a block of stone in front. The 2 of them pushed it forward as it... floated in the air over to a lower level, and they were once again outdoors. A downward stream of sand ALMOST made them go up a curve to a higher level but not quite, and only Knuckles was able to get to the top. They had to take a lower route. Which meant going down 2 or more sandy inclines onto a somewhat hilly path of stone.  It led to a ropeway going down diagonally that Knuckles had to hold her for since she had neither paws nor wings. At the end of it was another part of the ruins. But it seemed some of the ruins were apparently missing as ahead was a city, seemingly not by the same builders. Along the way to the city, after stopping for food from the occasional palm tree growing by a river (which they got water from... after boiling it as specified by Knuckles), 2 large praying mantises and 2 more large yellow birds showed up to block their path. Youtube Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zkk1WOADBOk) GRASS ASSASSIN (x2) RAPPY (x2) Knuckles leaped up and managed to hurt a Grass Assassin's head pretty hard. As for Applejack leaping toward the other one... you would have to be pretty tough to keep fighting after jetting jumped at by any kind of equine creature. The birds on the other hand didn't take much work before they ran off. It looked like one part a large center of business and culture, one part... old west? “Why does this place look a little like Appleoosa?” Knuckles had seen a lot of places. “Some of the lettering seems to call this place Aiedo, while others call it Appleoosa. But the closer they got the more unpleasant it got. Running towards the source... they saw about 30 or so creatures fighting 4 beings and another pony. “Braeburn!” Applejack shouted as she ran to his side, as Knuckles joined them too against a bunch of creatures that seemed totally alien. These 4 fellers were in it, just as confused as I was. 2 of them are called humans, while the long eared one is apparently a Newman and the heavily armored one is a machine called an android. By the way, who's your friend? Don't think I've seen anything like him either.” “I'm Knuckles the Echidna. I guess you're Applejack's brother?” Braeburn's answer was “No, but close enough. I'm her cousin.” The other 4 looked to Applejack and Knuckles. The android had dark hair and appeared to be heavily armored, with very little of his face appearing to be made of flesh. The newman had a bright red/pink mix hair color and looked like the humans but had long ears that rose above her scalp and out of her hair. The 2 humans had blond and cyan blue hair respectively. The blond one spoke first. The blond human greeted them with “Nice to meet you, Applejack and Knuckles. I'm Rudy. Rudy Ashleigh.” The newman joined in with “My name is Fal. Pleased to make your acquaintance.”. The android greeted himself with “You may call me Forren.” Finally, the cyan-blue haired human said “You can call me Thray. Try to forgive Rudy's judgment, he's still a kid.” Rudy replied to that with “How funny.” Forren appeared to be on alert over something. “The planetary control system has concluded that this world appears to be made entirely of other worlds. This planet is the third in a system of 8 while Algol is a system of 2, formerly 3, planets, and the presence of the Dezorisian and Motabian control systems, as well as numerous artificial satellites that aren't of Algolian origin and what appears to be a foreign planetary control system also show that this new world may have inhabitants of a fairly advanced civilization. The moon also appears to have a deflector and tractor system concealed under it's surface on the side that never appears to face the planet.” “So yer sayin' that all this confusion is because the world's a jumbled mess?” Thray put on a somewhat amused smile as he said “sounds about right”. The situation that he and Applejack had walked in on was over, and Knuckles felt a familiar feeling. “Whatever has done this to our worlds, I might be able to do something to help. Although it may not be much.” He found a town square area, more on the Aiedo style of things, and in the bushes, found some green gem shards. “Those gem fragments appear to contain an energy field not unlike magic” Forren observed as the pieces started to put out a glow. “They are pieces of the Master Emerald, one of the 2 most powerful things in my world. The other is a set of 7 emeralds called the Chaos Emeralds, which can grant a person's desires, but the Master Emerald can double or nullify their power.” The sound of the TARDIS materializing was heard, as a blue booth with a light on the top and the words “POLICE PUBLIC CALL BOX” on the main sign appeared in the area. //-------------------------------------------------------// Part 2 Chapter 3a: Dan vs Sonic and Ponies Part 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Part 2 Chapter 3a: Dan vs Sonic and Ponies Part 1 Big and Derpy proceeded onward as they investigated the area forward of them. It appeared to be a large basic green area, full of flowers, wooden bridges, and all kinds of natural beauty. Ahead of it was... a hint of civilization? "Derpy, I think that way is a good place where we might find people" Big said as Derpy seemed to recognize the vague shapes in the distances and almost went ahead without him. Meanwhile... A pink Earth pony, fluffy like a sheep, woke up in her bed. Seeing her bedmate and her best and most beloved friend in the world, Queen Chrysalis (a seemingly a black Alicorn mare with a blue mane, insect-like shell on part of her back with dragonfly-like wings with almost swiss cheese like holes in her legs and horn) was still asleep, she licked her friend's face then wordlessly placed a plush doll of herself in the bed where she had been sleeping. Going down for breakfast, she saw she was not the first to wake up. The human named Dan (a somewhat short man wearing a black shirt that said JERK on it) had made his own breakfast, his kitten Mr. Mumbles was eating some fish on a plate, and Twilight Sparkle was nowhere to be seen. She ran over to Dan and pulled a picture of Twilight out of her fluff, and giving her usual "huh!" gasp, looked at Dan with questioning eyes while showing the picture to him. "No, fluffball, I haven't seen her anywhere. Good riddance. The ponies here are almost as crazy as the humans back home." He then saw Mr. Mumbles was finished with her fish, and picked her up, saying "Good thing I have you back with me. I don't know how Fluffle Puff was able to reunite us, but I guess she's not so bad after all." Fluffle Puff, in her usual wordless manner, smiled back at him. Then she ran off, coming back with a pink fake horn on her head made of construction paper, as well as a rainbow mat that she started dancing on. Fluffle Puff was many things, and a big thing that defined her was random. Dan went outside for reasons he immediately forgot when he saw the outer edge of Ponyville now looked like a big green tropical area, and a dramatic camera angle change happened as he angrily put his fists in the air while screaming "GEOGRAPHY!" That woke up Queen Chrysalis. Coming downstairs, the whole "where is Twilight" scenario played out again. admittedly with Dan frustrated that the literal world had literally changed. Good thing Mr. Mumbles was there to help calm him down. She was great at that. She was probably the one thing in ANY world Dan actually liked. GREEN HILL ZONE - ACT 1 (Sonic Genrations) Youtube Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwDAxZF_LIs) Back at the Mystic Ruins, Big and Derpy entered the tropical hills, only to be greeted by rather dangerous looking metal crabs and metal monkeys. But Big was able to somehow use his fishing rod as a weapon and Derpy was surprisingly good at destroying things with her body. The most trouble was oddly unnatural loop de loop, but Big was able to jump from one side to the other well enough. At the end of the hilly area was a sign with a picture of what looked like Dr. Eggman in his younger days, leading into... "Ponyville!" Derpy exclaimed as she returned to what she thought was her home. But something felt wrong... it felt like it was A Ponyville but not HER Ponyville. Looking around they saw everything looked more or less the same. At least until they got to Twilight's house. When one of them knocked on the door, a large almost hairless ape wearing a JERK shirt opened up and said "What is it?" only to a moment later exclaim "Holy--- that is a BIG cat!"
