Eclipse strained to pull the tail of stallion who's head was in the dirt. "Urgh!" She grunted. "Pull harder!" The stallion yelled, his voice muffled. "I'm tryin'!" Eclipse huffed. "Try harder!" He shouted back. Eclipse tugged with all her might and they both were sent flying back. Eclipse bumped into a barrel and ended up on her back. The stallion had rolled into glue, through a chicken coup and was sitting on the ground. Eclipse burst out laughing, "You look like a giant orange chicken!" She said. The stallion rolled his eyes, he stood up and shook off the feathers. "We never did meet properly. I'm Tape." The stallion said. "I'm Eclipse." Eclipse replied. She stood up and grinned. "Sooo how's your life?" Tape said. He made a strange gesture with his head. Eclipse blinked. She mouthed the word 'Oh!'. That gesture was something thieves and criminals made when among others of their 'kind'. Tape nodded. Eclipse played along, "Pretty good. How about you?" She asked. "Good good. Very good." Tape replied. They watched tow guards pass by. They walked away until they were far from anyone. "Alright. Watcha' need?" Eclipse asked. Tape grinned. "I need your help." He said. "With?" Eclipse questioned. "Stealing the elements of harmony and taking Equestria with them." Tape said. Eclipse stared at him. "What's in it for me?" She eventually said. "You get to rule Equestria. All I want is to see Celestia die." The orange stallion said. Eclipse stood there for a long time. "So? Is it a deal?" Tape asked, holding out his hoof. Eclipse looked at him. She nodded and shook his hoof. "It's a deal." She said. Tape smirked. "A pleasure doing business with you." He purred. He slipped Eclipse a note and trotted away. Eclipse watched him. Dark blue cracks appeared on her pelt and slowly her bright blue turned to dark blue. Her mane turning as black as the night. She smirked. "This is going to be fun."
Chapter 2:Sugar and Spice
Eclipse sat on the floor in her dark room. It was midnight at the time and she was to deep in thought to care or even notice. 'How am I going to take over Equestria?' She thought silently to herself. Overthrowing a princess, no wait, TWO princesses was going to be the most difficult thing in the universe. Eclipse tapped her hoof on the ground in frustration. Eclipse hated thinking so hard. It made her brain hurt. Eclipse stood up and yawned. She glanced out the window and saw the moon in the middle of the sky. "It's midnight already?!" She shrieked. Eclipse huffed and crawled into bed muttering under her breath.
The next morning Eclipse awoke to the sound of several birds singing a much too cheerful tune for her to stand. She pushed her face into the pillow in attempt to block out the sound. It didn't work. Eclipse climbed out of bed and walked to the window. Shoving it open and sticking her head out, she saw a female griffon with purple spots that looked like raindrops. The griffon had eyes as green as emeralds and was conducting the birds. Eclipse huffed in annoyance. "HEY YOU!" She hollered. The griffon looked up at her. "WHY DONT YOU GET YOUR BIRDS TO SHUT UP!" Eclipse shouted. The griffon looked upset. She stopped the birds and looked back at Eclipse. "I-I'm sorry!" She called. Eclipse snorted. "Whatever!" She said pulling her head back inside. Eclipse slipped on a silver necklace which held a rare and beautiful pearl inside of it. This was the only piece of jewelry she owned that wasn't stolen. Eclipse slipped out of the door and bumped into the same griffon. They both gave a startled squeak and stumbled backwards. "O-oh dear! Im so sorry!" The griffon gasped. She regained her balance and helped Eclipse. "That's alright." Eclipse said with a angry huff. "What's your name?" The griffon gave a shy smile. "I'm Rain." She said quietly. "Eclipse." Eclipse replied. She gave Rain a halfhearted smile and was suddenly hit with an idea. "I have to go!" Eclipse said and galloped past. And as she thought she noticed something. Rain was as sweet as sugar. And she was as mean as spice. Ecipse shrugged the thought away and started searching for Tape.
Due to being a daily thief, Eclipse was excellent at sneaking about Ponyville. Searching for Tape while being sneaky for no reason she replayed her plan in her head a few more times. 'Swipe the elements of harmony and use them against the princesses.' The plan sounded simple but it was no where near close. Sneaking into the castle would mean sneaking past several royal guards. And one wrong move would put your plan in jepordy! Eclipse found Tape with his head in the dirt again. "Eclipse?! YOU THERE???" Tape shouted his move muffled. She could hear him attempting to spit out dirt. Eclipse giggled, "Right here." She said with a grin. "Can you help me out again?" Tape asked. Eclipse rolled her eyes with a sigh. "Fine." She said. Her horn with lit up with a bright icy blue and the magic tugged Tape free of the dirt. Eclipse snickered seeing the dirt on Tape's face. "Oh, shut up." Tape grumbled. Wiping off the dirt from his face. It didn't help. IT made it worse since he ended up smearing it across his muzzle. Eclipse burst out laughing so hard tears came into her eyes. Tape huffed. "Here. Let me help!" Eclipse said. A bucket of water materilized out of thin air and was dumped on Tape's head. "AHHHHHH! ITS C-C-COLD!!!!" Tape hollered. Eclipse dumped a bucket of hot water on him. "HOOOOOOOOOT!" Tape shouted he jumped up and ran around. "REALLY TAPE?" Eclipse hollered. "YOUR HOT AND THEN YOUR COLD!" Eclipse complained. Tape continued to run around screaming his head off. Eclipse sat down and facehoofed.
