Canvisia is far away from Equestria and was founded long ago by a group of mystical Earth ponies before the reign of Princesses Celestia and Luna and perhaps even before the setting of Hearth's Warming. Only tales and poems remained of Canvisia and the township of Gallopphar that vanished, and with time the town became nothing more than ruins, lost in history until it was discovered by Professor Vinden, as well as its mineral and gem rich mines.
