Chapter 1: The Beginning of the Beginning

The sun was shining brightly over Canterlot Castle. Birds were chirping, and everyone was happily strolling along, running their usual errands. Surely, nothing could go wrong.

That's when it happened. Clouds suddenly filled the sky, and scores of changelings descended upon the town. My assistant, being the best pony who ever existed, saved everypony with a swift Sonic Rainboom.

"Nice going Rainbow Dash!" I said.

"Thanks Daring! I'm still shocked you took me as an assistant."

"Well, you can't separate two ponies as awesome as us!"

And then we made out. It was hot. Oh yeah

"So, how did you like my story Flutters?" said Rainbow Dash excitedly.

Rainbow Dash was sitting on her bed in her apartment. Her best friend, Fluttershy, was sitting next to her, listening intently. Rainbow Dash was a moderately tall girl at five foot five inches. Her rainbow hair was unkempt and wild, and her athletic build was in a blue tank top and blue biking shorts. Fluttershy on the other hand was taller, at five foot nine inches. Her pink hair was well combed, cascading over her shoulders to her mid-back area. She had a fuller figure, dressed in a green sweater and blue jeans.

"Well, um, I think you could have gone into more detail, and maybe write a protagonist who isn't, um, an obvious self-insert. But, it's a good start. Just work on your detailing and, um, your characters. I-I mean, if it's not too much work."

"I guess you're right, but then it looses the awesomeness it had going!" Rainbow Dash complained

"Just try to elaborate then. I'm sorry, I have to, um, go now. I'll be over the same time next week."

"Alright! Bye Flutters! See ya at Twilight's tonight!"

"Oh! I almost forgot! I brought something for you."

Fluttershy quickly dug through her handbag and pulled out a small, wrapped present.

"Happy birthday, Rainbow."

Rainbow said, "Thank you."

Rainbow quickly examined the package, tilting it to and fro, looking over the top and bottom. She noticed the present was about the same size as a large book. She ripped the paper and sure enough, it was a book. She flipped it over to see that the title read: Daring Do: The Visual Dictionary

"What's this?"

"Oh. You know how they're making a Daring Do movie? Well this book, um, came out yesterday. It had pictures and information on the inside of just about everything in the movie and books, from Daring Do to her enemies to treasures she's found. Look. Even on the cover it says, um, 'A must have for any Daring Do fan!"

Rainbow's face lit up and she grabbed Fluttershy around the waist and hugged her.

"Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!"

Fluttershy blushed and said, "I'm glad you like it."

Rainbow promised, "You're the best friend this girl could ask for. And you know I don't say that much."

Fluttershy stood up and walked out of Rainbow's small apartment, waving to Rainbow before she left.

"Bye! See you at eight!"

Rainbow often said that she didn't need much, just a kitchen, a bedroom, and a TV. The apartment complex supplied the pool and gym she exercised in. Fluttershy lived on the outskirts of Ponyville, in a large cottage overlooking Ponyville Lake.

Fluttershy was adopted into a rich family, you see. Her father ran one of the biggest oil companies in the country, while her mother founded the biggest computer company in the state of South Equestria. Fluttershy always had enough money. She could keep all of her animals and go to the spa every week while still having a lot of money left over. She never had to worry about any financial trouble, and she donated a small fortune to various charities.

Fluttershy eventually arrived at the Golden Oaks Library. Snow covered the front lawn, as well as the roof. She walked up to the door, knocking four times.

The door opened to reveal Twilight Sparkle, a five foot eight librarian with neatly combed hair, a slight build, and wearing a violet vest over a light blue shirt and jeans.

"Ah Fluttershy! Welcome! You're always the first to arrive. Come in!"

Fluttershy stepped into the center room of the library, noticing that seven beds had been pulled together into a circle. Each one had a blanket with a specific color on it, yellow for Fluttershy, purple for Twilight, white for Rarity, orange for Applejack, pink for Pinkie, blue for Rainbow, and green for Spike. She knew that Twilight's room was up the stairs at the back, and that Twilight lived in the connected house to the right. Said house had a guest room, a living room, a kitchen, and two separate bathrooms, one for customers and one for Twilight and any guests.

"I hope you don't mind that I invited Spike. He's part of our group, so he should be invited as well."

"No, I don't mind at all. I always thought he was lonely, not getting invited to these sleepovers."

There was a knock at the back door.

"Oh, someone's here," Twilight said, slightly disappointed.

Twilight pointed her hand at the back door, and her hand began to glow in a purple aura. The door similarly glowed and opened on its own. Standing in the doorway was an energetic, curly haired girl of five foot seven. Her body was covered by a pink shirt that appeared to have candy stuck on it, as well as pink jeans.

"Ah! Welcome Pinkie!"

"I am so excited for this sleepover! I made a cake and everything! I dropped Gummy off with Big Mac and brought all my balloons!" she said in one breath, while releasing balloons from her handbag, "We can play spin the bottle, drink cider, and do makeovers! I hope we can stay up and have a really big pillow fight! It will be so pillowtacular! I brought so many different board games if we want to play them! I know Rainbow Dash doesn't like Scrabble, but I know she loves Battleship, so I brought that. Rarity will probably want to play a more dignified game like Monopoly, but that game takes forever to play! Although, I would play Monopoly everyday for my friends! And Fluttershy, I brought my collection of classical music records, as well as a record player. I have extra pillows, just in case the people reading this story want to join in! And then we can make cupcakes, and help Rainbow with her Daring Do fanfic! But I don't like where she's taking the story. Anyway, the new Doctor Who season starts tonight, and I've already set the TV to the BBC channel."

As Pinkie said all of this, she randomly pulled objects out of her bag; a pillow, a copy of Call of Duty Black Ops II, five different colored rubber chickens, an eggbeater, and the Ark of the Covenant.

Fluttershy and Twilight stared at her, not understanding a thing she just said.

They were saved by a well-timed knock at the front door.

Thank you! Twilight thought as she purposely walked to the door to open it.

On the other side was a tall girl with a muscular build. At six foot zero, she was the tallest of the group. She was dressed in a plain orange shirt with working jeans underneath. Her trademark Stetson was perched atop her head. Her blonde hair was tied up like always, and thrown over her right shoulder.

"Howdy!" Applejack greeted.

"Nice to see you AJ," said Twilight.

"Who all is here now?"

"Just Fluttershy and Pinkie."

"Figures that those two would be here first. They are always first."

"We're still waiting on Rainbow Dash and Spike and Rarity."

"Spike and Rarity are together?"

"Spike finally got Rarity to agree on a date."

"Well that's mighty fine on him. Ah'm proud he finally got the girl he was after."

The door opened to reveal a young man of five foot eleven, and a beautiful woman of five foot six. The young man had bright green hair that was sticking out in all directions. He was wearing a purple jacket and jeans. The woman had flowing, perfectly styled purple hair, and was wearing a white shirt with a formal black skirt.

"Rarity, Spike, welcome!" exclaimed Twilight.

"Thank you Twilight. Spike, be a dear and hang up our coats, please."

"With pleasure," said Spike gallantly, "Oh. Twilight, I won't be staying for the sleepover. I'm staying over at a friends house for his birthday. I hope you don't mind."

"No, you're grown up now. You can do what ever you want, and we won't stop you."

Spike left, closing the door as he went. Rarity sat down with Applejack on Fluttershy's bed.

"Now Twilight darling, please tell me you have no intention of making me and Applejack reenact any fanfiction tonight," Rarity said.

"Oh don't worry," Twilight reassured, "That was just one time. I went on an experiment phase where I experimented with everything, and that was just one of my many tests. I've burned all my notes from that time; none were very helpful. I don't need notes on the chemistry between you and Applejack."

"Beg ya're pardon?" questioned Applejack

At this moment, to Applejack and Rarity's relief, a certain rainbow-maned athlete flew through the doors.

"Alright everyone, I'm here! The party just got fifty percent cooler!" Rainbow Dash shouted.

"Rainbow Dash, ya know we don't like it when ya are so arrogant." Applejack forewarned, "Last time it didn't end so well."

"Oh yeah," Rainbow sheepishly replied, "Sorry."

"It's alright, just don't do it again."

"I have a big night planned," Twilight began, "We have chips, sodas, TV, video and board games, pillows, books, and fanfiction. Why don't we start with a game?"

"Ooh! Ooh! Can I choose?" blurted Rainbow Dash.

"Um, please calm down." asked Fluttershy meekly.

"No! I want to choose!" countered Pinkie.

"Twilight is the owner of this library," Rarity pointed out.

"It's hurting me." asked Fluttershy, who was cowering behind a bed.

"That doesn't mean she gets to choose!" argued Applejack.

The four girls continued arguing about who gets to choose while Twilight attempted to calm the four. Twilight tried yelling to quiet them, but it didn't work. Fluttershy, however, was fed up.

"PLEASE STOP!" shouted Fluttershy louder than anyone had ever heard her yell, louder than the incident at the Gala, and even louder than the time she thought Angel was crushed. She stood up and faced the four girls in front of her.

The room fell silent. Rarity's jaw was dropped, Rainbow was staring wide-eyed, Applejack was nervously twirled her hair, and Pinkie was still floating in the air from when she jumped.

"Fluttershy?" Twilight cautiously approached her.

Fluttershy froze as Twilight put a hand on her shoulder, then turned to Twilight. Her eyes were wet and tears were already streaming down her face. Fluttershy gazed into Twilight's eyes before she broke down, sobbing uncontrollably into Twilights shoulder, wraping her arms tightly around Twilight.

"I'm s-s-s-orry. I don't k-k-know what came over m-m-me."

Twilight returned the hug. She could tell Fluttershy had had some kind of traumatic flashback.

"Come on, let's go to my room and talk about it."

Twilight helped Fluttershy up the stairs; Fluttershy still sobbing into Twilight's shoulder. Twilight, before disappearing up the stairs to her room, shot a glare at the four girls sitting on the beds.

Twilight's room was plain, but she liked it that way. Her blue bed was underneath the large window, with a bookcase of her favorite books next to it. On the other side of the bed was a small nightstand with a lamp on it. A writing desk was next to the bookcase, littered with blank paper, pens, abandoned stories, and revised stories.

Twilight shut the door, leading Fluttershy over to the bed. Fluttershy took her head off of Twilight's shoulder to lay down on her side, curled up into a fetal position.

"Can I get you anything? A drink maybe?

"Y-y-yes please. Water is f-f-fine"

Twilight nodded and descended the stairs. She didn't even throw a glance at the other four as she walked past them and into the kitchen in her connected house.

Filling a glass, she returned to the main room and simply said, "See what you did? Just go home. All of you."

Applejack responded, "But Twi-"

"Now," Twilight shot a glare that could unnerve even the bravest person at Applejack.

Rarity quickly gathered her things and hurried out, scared of what might happen if she stayed behind. Applejack was frozen by Twilight's glare, and had to be pulled out by Rainbow. Pinkie was slowly, solemnly, trudging towards the door, hair straight and uniform.

Twilight opened the door to her room to find Fluttershy crying and under the covers.

"Fluttershy? I'll be rearranging the books downstairs, come down if you wanna talk."

Fluttershy heard the door shut, and looked out from under the covers to see the glass of water sitting on the nightstand. Taking small sips, she made up her mind to go downstairs and talk to Twilight about it.

Downstairs, Twilight was putting a stack of books from a corner in order. Fluttershy slowly descended the stairs, coming from behind Twilight. She went over and sat on the bed that was supposed to be hers for the night.

"Um, T-t-twilight?" she cautiously asked.

Twilight turned around to find Fluttershy sitting on the bed.

"Would you like to talk about it?" Twilight asked, taking a seat next to her.

"As long as no one else hears this."

"I swear, this is fully confidential. Nothing leaves this room without your permission."

Fluttershy launched into her story.

"It was when I was just a little girl. My parents, they weren't very good. My mother never thought anything of me, my father was an alcoholic. Some nights he would come home at midnight, drunk, and argue with my mother. I dreaded these nights because I knew what was coming. First, my parents would argue for an hour. I would have been awakened by my father's drunk yelling outside. My mother would shout at him, he would shout at her. This went on until my father slapped my mother and stormed into my room. He would throw on the lights and hit me. Abuse me..."

Fluttershy's eyes welled up with tears. She hugged Twilight for security.

"H-h-he did this every week. This went on for a year before my mother finally snapped and murdered my father when he got home. As he stumbled through the door, she drew his .45 and shot him once in the stomach. I ran from my room to see what the loud noise was, only to find my father bleeding out. My mother put the gun to her own head and pulled the trigger. I get flashbacks every time I hear a lot of shouting. It's why I'm so bad at flying. When I get scared, I revert back to my younger self, cowering behind my bed ,trying to avoid my father. I physically cannot fly when I'm scared."

Twilight also had tears welling in her eyes. There was silence for a good three minutes as Fluttershy sobbed into Twilight's shoulder.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know," Twilight ventured after a while.

"How could you? I spend my entire life now tending to animals and talking to my few friends. To make things worse, all the townspeople seem to dislike me. You remember the 'Iron Will incident."

"And I'm sorry for that. But you know I would never hurt you. You all are my friends, and nothing will change the way I feel about you."

Fluttershy whimpered. "But I'm not worthy of protecting. I'm just a weak, pathetic excuse of a person."

"Now hold it right there! You are not pathetic! Pathetic is like Trixie, returning just so she could humiliate me. You, you are brilliant. I don't know a single other person who could stare down a cockatrice, or scold a dragon so hard he burst into tears. You are strong, and I trust you completely. Just because you had abusive parents does not mean you are weaker than anyone else! And don't let anyone tell you otherwise!" Twilight declared.

Fluttershy looked at Twilight, who had gotten up and was standing right in front of her. Fluttershy's tears stopped, and she felt something new, happiness. With Twilight on her side, nothing could stop her! No matter the obstacle, they would always triumph!

Twilight looked at the clock on the wall, noticing it was well past eleven o'clock.

"Fluttershy, I think we should get some sleep."

"Um, Twilight? Can I sleep with you tonight?"

"Sorry, what was that?" Twilight asked.

"Can I sleep with you tonight?"

"Still can't hear you."

"Can I sleep with you tonight!?"

Twilight was taken back by this at first, but she realized that Fluttershy just wanted to have someone close after the traumatic events she went through.

"Of course." Twilight sympathized.

Twilight led Fluttershy up the stairs, to her bedroom. Fluttershy, for the first time, noticed the small sapphire next to her glass of water.

"Um, what's the sapphire for?" Fluttershy asked.

"Oh, that's supposed to bring good luck."

Fluttershy looked around, embarrassed.

"Um, my sleep clothes were in Rarity's bag. I don't have anything to sleep in, and I can't sleep with regular clothes on."

"I'll look away, just undress down to your underwear, and get under the covers."

Twilight turned away so that Fluttershy could strip down to her pink bra and panties. Blushing, Fluttershy got under the covers. Twilight did the same, stripping down to her purple bra and panties. Twilight moved the covers over so she could lay down while still having enough room for Fluttershy to sleep comfortably. Twilight turned the lamp on the nightstand off.

"Good night Fluttershy."

Fluttershy turned over, looking Twilight directly in the eye.

"Good night," she smiled, "Oh, wait. Before you go to sleep, I just want you to know how thankful I am that you talked it through with me. It feels so good to finally get that out."

Fluttershy snuggled up to her pillow, holding it with both hands. Twilight smiled, as she sees how peaceful her friend looks. Twilight's last though before sleep came was At least she got all of her emotions out.

The next morning, Fluttershy awoke to find Twilight's sleeping form right up against her. Twilight's face was a mere two inches away from her own, and one of Twilight's arms was draped over her bare waist. Fluttershy could feel Twilight's warm breath on her face. She blushed at the closeness of the two. Twilight's eyes slowly fluttered open, resulting in Fluttershy's cyan eyes looking directly into Twilight's purple eyes.

"Morning Fluttershy..." she said, yawning.

Twilight's eyes suddenly grew wide as she noticed her arm around Fluttershy. They grew wider when she heard the library door open.

"Twilight?" Spike called from downstairs, "I'm home!"

"Shit," Twilight whispered, "I thought he would have stayed over longer."

Twilight glanced at the clock. One o'clock PM.

"Shit!" Twilight softly cursed, "It's already one!"

Fluttershy quickly got out of the bed, threw on her clothes and opened the door. On the other side was Spike.

He saw the messy bedsheets, Fluttershy's shirt, which was on backwards, and Twilight's lack of clothes and said, "I don't want to know what happened between you two last night."

"Spike! Nothing happened!" Twilight reassured.

"I don't know. You're only wearing underwear, and Fluttershy's shirt is on backwards."

"She forgot her pajamas, so she slept without clothes. You know how I prefer to sleep. It was not what you think."

Spike seemed unconvinced. Twilight quickly got dressed in the same outfit from the day prior.

"Fluttershy? Would you like breakfast?"

"What do you have?"

"We have pancakes and Prench Toast. I know you won't approve of this last one, but we also have bacon."

Fluttershy laughed, "Oh, you thought that because I'm an animal caretaker, I'm completely vegetarian. No, I love bacon. Almost as much as I love hamburgers. I know that Celestia put laws in effect so that cows and pigs are humanely put down."

Twilight blushed, "Yeah, I did think that. Sorry.

"Honest mistake," Fluttershy smiled.

Twilight gestured to Spike, who immediately understood the meaning, nodded, and started cooking breakfast.

"So Fluttershy, how about we watch that Doctor Who episode we missed last night."

"I'd love that." replied Fluttershy.

One hour of watching later, Fluttershy and Twilight sat down at Twilight's dining room table. On the table were two plates, forks and knives, syrup, and a pile of pancakes next to a plate of bacon. Fluttershy took a good amount of bacon, as well as two pancakes.

"So Fluttershy," Twilight started, "I was thinking we spend the day together, you know, go around town, maybe see a movie?"

"I would like to apologize to the others for last night. But, if you don't want to, that's fine..."

Twilight thought it over for a few seconds before replying, "Yes, let's talk to them about it."

Twilight and Fluttershy quickly finished their breakfast and went out into town, thanking Spike on their way out.

"Alright, who's first?"

"Well, Rarity is just over there," Fluttershy pointed towards Carousel Boutique.

Twilight and Fluttershy headed over to the Boutique, saying "Hi" to any townsfolk they passed. Once they arrived, Fluttershy knocked on the front door. After a few seconds, a young girl answered the door.

"Hi Sweetie Belle. We're here to see Rarity."

"Of course! I'll call her down! HEY RARITY! TWILIGHT AND FLUTTERSHY ARE HERE!"

"Sweetie Belle! I'm right here!"

Fluttershy looked around Sweetie Belle to see Rarity was working in the front room. Rarity put down the dress, and walked over to the door.

"Fluttershy, I'm terribly sorry about yesterday. It was very unladylike of me, and I hope you can forgive me."

"Oh don't worry, you couldn't have known why I was so distressed," Fluttershy responded.

"Oh, great. Once again, I am terribly sorry. It won't happen again. Also, weren't you two wearing those same clothes yesterday?"

Twilight and Fluttershy both blushed.

Twilight sheepishly answered, "Well, yes."

Rarity nodded slightly. "Well, I've got to finish my work, so thanks for stopping by!"

Rarity closed the door, and Twilight and Fluttershy went on their way. Inside the Boutique, Rarity thought she had seen Fluttershy's shirt on backwards.

"Nah, they couldn't have done that."

An hour later, after visiting all their friends and making up with all of them, Twilight invited Fluttershy to an early dinner.

"I know it's only three o'clock, but I'm hungry."

"Oh, I know," Fluttershy responded, "I can hear your stomach from here."

Twilight blushed.

"But, I'm also hungry, so where are we eating?"

"Well, what do you want?"

"Oh, anything's fine," Fluttershy answered.

Suddenly, Rainbow Dash landed in front of them.

"You two should hurry on back to the library!" she exclaimed.

"And why?" Twilight asked.

"There's an unscheduled blizzard on its way. There was an accident at the factory, and, well, it's on its way to Ponyville. Flutters, you don't have enough time to get across town to your cottage. The weather team will be working on the snow first thing tomorrow."

Rainbow Dash flew off to warn the next group she saw.

"You heard her, to the library. Spike has the heater on already."

Twilight and Fluttershy ran to back to the library, just as the snow started falling.

"Well, we're stuck here tonight. What do you wanna do?" Twilight asked.

"Um, I don't know. Maybe watch a movie, maybe watch TV, maybe play a board game?" Fluttershy answered.

"We could just talk. We haven't ever sat down and had a full conversation about ourselves, and our beliefs."

"Oh, I guess we can do that." Fluttershy agreed.

Twilight sat down on the nearest bed, stretching and yawning. Fluttershy took a seat next to her.

"I'll go first. So, as you know, I was a student under Celestia, the best in my class. I had the best test scores, and I was the only one who got a one-hundred on the final exam. My brother still lives in Canterlot, and he regularly sends me letters."

"Oh Twilight!" Spike called, "Shining Armor sent you another letter while you were out!"

"Just leave it on my desk!" Twilight called back.

"Anyway, I grew up in Canterlot Castle, and loved my room so much that when I moved here, I enchanted my closet door so that it leads into my old room. I am bisexual, and my parents are anti-gay. I don't associate with them. I learned my first spell at age five, and I learned my latest spell two nights ago on my twenty-fifth birthday. I may have small crushes on a few of the people I regularly interact with. Your turn."

Fluttershy thought for a second, and began, "I come from San Franciscolt. I was ten years old when my parents died and I was moved to Cloudsdale, where I was adopted. My adoptive father runs the oil company a mile outside of Cloudsdale, and my mother runs Marecrosoft. As you can tell, I have a lot of money to spare. I bought my cottage with my own money, as well as keeping all the animals in the area well fed. As you know, I turned twenty-five last week. I met Rainbow Dash on my first day at school, where she challenged me to a race, and I won. You see, when I really put my mind to it, I can fly really fast, faster than even Rainbow Dash. However, I lost the will to fly fast after a boy in my class started picking on me, saying I was just trying to impress Rainbow so we could get together. I was run out of school for weeks with kids yelling 'lesbian' and 'faggot' at me. Rainbow Dash was not one of them. You all remember the story of how we got our Cutie Marks."

Cutie Marks in this world behave differently than in the show's canon. In this world, they are on the hip area, so only the most intimate people see the real Cutie Marks. Cutie Marks, once you get yours, magically brand themselves into any pants or skirts you own. As soon as you buy a pair and put them on, the Marks are embroidered into them. So, everyone can see your Cutie Mark.

"Yes, I do," Twilight nodded.

"After that, I fled to Ponyville. First, I lived with the Apples at Sweet Apple Acres. They welcomed me in with open arms. I began to think of them as family. In my mind, I now have two families; my adoptive parents, and the Apples. Some people like to think that I have the hots for Big Mac, but I think of him as a brother. I could never go after a brother. I'm also bisexual; I found this out when I got jealous over my long time crush getting a girlfriend. I realized then that not only was I jealous of my crush dating someone else, but I was jealous of him for dating some girl that attractive. But you know me, I've never had a date. Rainbow though, she was so casual about her sexuality. Dating people right and left, anyone she could get her hands on. Girls, boys, even a few teachers."

"Yeah, I've been on a few dates, but nothing went far. I still haven't made it past the fourth date, and I've only been kissed once."

Twilight and Fluttershy sat in silence for a while before Twilight asked, "Do you have a crush on anyone?"

Fluttershy blushed.

"Sorry if that made you uncomfortable."

"No, it's fine. In fact, I do have a crush on someone."

"Do you want to say?" Twilight asked, turning towards Fluttershy.

"Well, they're very cute. The way they present themself is very official. I love their smile, their happy attitude, and their knowledge."

"Are you doing to name anyone specifically? Because I kind of need to-"

Twilight was cut off by Fluttershy leaning in and pressing her lips against Twilight's. Fluttershy took in the soft texture of Twilight's slightly dry lips. Twilight was surprised at the sudden kiss, but fell into it, lightly pushing back with her own lips. Fluttershy wrapped her arms around Twilight's back, while Twilight pulled Fluttershy in for a close embrace. They kissed for a full minute before Twilight pulled away.

"Wow. That was something."

"Um, I-i-i," Fluttershy stammered.

Twilight smiled. "Don't worry about it. I would have preferred that we go on a date before we kissed, but I can make an exception this time."

Fluttershy smiled. Twilight leaned back in and kissed her again.

Outside the window, the snow that was supposed to have fallen was already cleared up. Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie stood at the window, watching the two women inside kiss.

"I told you they'd kiss if we forced them into the same room alone," Rainbow Dash boasted.

"Well, they do seem very into it," Pinkie responded, "I am so happy they found each other."

"They've been going at it for a few minutes now," Rainbow Dash pointed out, "I knew that if I got Fluttershy sad enough, Twilight would kick us out and tend to Fluttershy. Then, I'd put the rest of my plan into motion."

Pinkie, realizing what Rainbow had done, turned to her, very pissed off.

"You know Dash, that was a real dick move," Pinkie growled.

"Well, look how happy those two are. It was worth it."

"You exploited her tragic past! Rainbow Dash, what the fuck is wrong with you?"

Rainbow's face fell. "I knew it was a bad move, but I think those two will be happy together. It was all for Fluttershy. You know she's like a sister to me."

"Well, I wouldn't want a sister like you. And I'm sure the people reading this don't like you right now either."

Pinkie stormed off, leaving Rainbow to stand there alone. A raincloud overhead started pouring water on her.

"Derpy! What did I tell you about using the rainclouds?"

The blond girl simply declared, "I just don't know what went wrong!"

Back inside the library, Twilight had pulled away from Fluttershy.

"You know we're going to have to get back at Rainbow for lying to us and bringing up your past," Twilight whispered.

"Yes, I know. I still can't believe she actually did that. I'm so mad at her I could send her a letter with a swear word in it!"

Twilight glanced out the window to see Rainbow getting rained on.

"Well, it seems that somebody already got back at her," Twilight mentioned.

"Fluttershy?" Twilight asked, "Would you go out to dinner with me tomorrow?"

"I would be delighted."

Twilight smiled, and leaned in to hug Fluttershy. Twilight and Fluttershy laid down on the bed and fell asleep in each others arms.
