High atop Midnight Castle, an intense battle is unfolding. Standing at the balcony is a human girl wielding a heart-shaped locket. Accompanying her are a group of ponies, hopeless as their world begins to shroud in night. She holds it up high, and the locket splits open. Out comes a small rainbow stream that slowly wilts its way towards the ground. Perched on his dreary chariot, Tirek, the demonic centaur, scoffs at the weak rainbow while holding a pouch that is vivid with a dark power.
"Behold the power of darkness!" Tirek shouted in confidence as a black stream flowed out of the pouch. It quickly circles the tiny rainbow and consumes it all around. As its victory pose, the dark rainbow arched itself into a rainbow. However, its triumph became short-lived as the light rainbow slowly fought back the darkness. Now at full power, the light rainbow repelled the dark rainbow back at Tirek.
"What?! No!" yelled Tirek as his dark rainbow fled to him. The light rainbow pierced through the dark rainbow and Tirek before devouring him in light.
"RAAAAHHH! This... isn't.. over!" said Tirek as he desperately tried to ward off the rainbow. His body started to fade along with both the light and dark rainbows. "What's happening to mee?!" Tirek squirmed as his very own castle, his guards, the ponies that he tried to enslave, the Dream Valley that he so desired to rule in eternal night, and the human girl that prevented him from ruling this world vanished from his sight. As the rainbow of light dissipated, Tirek composed himself. Looking around, he only saw an expanse of white.
"Now where am I?" he asked in frustration. He looked arond some more until he saw a black speck. As he walked closer to it, he recognized it as his midnight chariot. Seeing that he still has his chariot and his rainbow of darkness, he now realized something; he can now access all worlds and timelines.
"I am here... the Singularity... Hehehe. HAHAHAHA!! I have heard of this place in legends, the legend of the white space, the Singularity. But to be immeresed in it. I must thank the Rainbow of Light," he said to himself.
The Dark Rainbow slithered weakly towards the chariot where it rested. It looked up at Tirek as it rolled over. Now confident, Tirek mounts his chariot.
"Rainbow of Darkness, I need you to pull the midnight chariot," he said to the rainbow. "I can now go to any world I want. My interest in that Valley is no more now that I can rule everything."
He points his chariot in a random direction. He dictates the Dark Rainbow to press on. The chariot moves as the Rainbow of Darkness slithers onward. It picks up momentum, and a stream of distortion surrounds Tirek. Faster and faster, he narrows into the stream until he became fast enough to tear a hole in the space and create a portal to another world. He spontaneously entered the portal, and it rapidly began to close. Out of the white space, the Light Rainbow rematerialized itself. Regaining consciousness, the rainbow followed Tirek into the closing portal.

In the outskirts of Ponyville, Twilight Sparkle is taking a walk with her companion, Spike. Today is a peaceful day, ideal for a picnic. All of a sudden, Spike gets uneasy, and his face expands with his left hand covering his mouth, the sign that he is about to spit out a message.
"What is it Spike?" Twilight asked.
He let the belch erupt from his mouth followed by green flames and smoke. Paper materialized right after and curled up into a scroll. Using her magic, Twilight unfurls the scroll and reads it.
"My dearest student, I cordially invite you and your friends to celebrate the anniversary of Equestria's founding with me," Twilight read each letter to Spike.
"Equestria's founding?" asked Spike. "When was that?" he asked.
"Don't you remember? Anyway, we've been invited to celebrate one of the biggest parties in all of Equestria! Anyone who's isn't invited to this party will surely regret it for the rest of their lives!" exclaimed Twilight while hopping like an energetic Pinkie Pie. "Quick! We have to invite our friends. C'mon!" Twilight and Spike go back to Ponyville to talk to her other five friends that they've been invited to the biggest party in Equestria. Immidiately after, they are all boarded on a train towards Canterlot, all in their gala getups. They were conversing jovially about their potential activities at the party.
Canterlot loomed ever closer. Pinkie Pie vibrated in sheer excitement at the sight of the city in its festive decor. They now saw the tracks that led to the city. Now, everyone peeked outside the window at the lively city. Their eyes widened with their mouths in amazement, but the city's decor wasn't the idea; it was the party.
The Anniversary Party of Equestria's Founding is one of the biggest parties in all of Equestria, even bigger than the Grand Gallpoing Gala. It is also one of the longest lasting traditions in Equestria. It was when Celestia came into power that the parties started to become a lot more fun. The party is always held at the ruler's current city of residence, ant the ruler has to be the one who initiates and concludes the party.
The train now entered the station. As the train came to a stop, Pinkie Pie darted all around the cart, bumping into everyone. Rainbow Dash restrains her to her seat. Twilight is wowed at the sheer sight of the decoration.
"We're going to celebrate one of the biggest parties in all of Equestria!" exclaimed Twilight. Rarity looked at everyone's dresses.
"Oh look at the fanciful dresses! They're simply to dive for!" Rarity remarked. "Celestia has really upped the ante this time!" she continued on.
The train came to a complete stop. Every passenger rushed outside to join the festivities. Pinkie Pie was the first of the main group to emerge from the train. She beams right out of the train in a frenzy, looking for the nearest source of pastry. "This... is... the... bestest... PARTY... EVER!!" shouted an overly excited Pinkie Pie as she dashed from place to place with a brief pause to say one word. Following was Rainbow Dash and Applejack, both trying to find Pinkie Pie in the mass crowds. The last of the main group is Fluttershy, Rarity, and Twilight. The last three calmly walk out of the train to see Pinkie Pie in a pastry frenzy. She zooms towards as many pastry stands as she could, stuffing her face with icing and gobbling up all the treats before sending it all to her belly.
Finally, Applejack and Rainbow Dash subdue her, each giving her a look of dissapproval. Pinkie Pie responds with an apologetic smile.
"Oh look at you Pinkie! You ruined the dress I made for you!" scolded Rarity. Mounting herself, Pinkie Pie looks up at Celestia's Palace. Emerging from the palace is none other than Princess Celestia. Twilight smiles with a glee sound and runs past the crowds to join her. Accompanying Celestia is Shining Armor and his wife, Princess Cadence. This only makes Twilight even more excited. The other five ponies follow Twilight.
Eventually, Twilight makes it through the crowds and reaches Celestia. "Princess!" shouted Twilight as she approached Celestia, Shining Armor, and Cadence. "I'm so glad to see you!" she continued with a pony hug to the three.
"Twiley! Glad you came!" welcomed Shining Armor.
"You're as energetic as usual," added Cadence.
"Of course I am, though I'm not this energetic, but today, I am! Who whouldn't want to miss the biggest party in all of Equestria especially when Princess Celestia has invited you?" Twilight responded.
"Twilight Sparkle, I am always happy to see you and your friends," Celestia said in a calm voice. At the same time, Twilight's friends arrived, each giving their respectful gesture to Celestia. "I hope you have been keeping up with your studies about the magic of friendship with your friends," she continued.
"Always have," Twilight answered.
"That's good, but let's not ponder about your studies. Now, we party," Celestia spoke.
From the interior of the chamber comes Luna, completing the group."Princess Luna!" shouted Twilight waving her arms unceasingly to get Luna to come closer. Luna did just that, she approached the group, all covered in festive material.
"This is perhaps the most festive of Equestria's Anniversary parties!" Luna exclaimed in her royal voice. She focuses on Twilight and her friends. "Come Twilight Sparkle and friends, we shall have fun! Let us not waste any time and-"
Rumbling interrupted Luna speech. At that moment, everypony stopped partying, except Pinkie Pie who was still dancing. "What in tarnation is goin' on?" inquired Applejack in a shaky voice.
From the sky, a spacial hole tore open. "Look over there!" alerted Rainbow Dash as she pointed to the ominous purple-colored anomaly. Everypony focused their eyes on the portal. Fluttershy was shaking and whimpering; she covered her eyes from the sight. Out of the portal came the Rainbow of Darkness, moving in a serpentine manner. Then came the Midnight Chariot, and piloting the chariot was Tirek. The chariot descended further towards Canterlot. Deeming this a threat, Shining Armor erected a barrier. Cadence used her magic to amplify Shining Armor's barrier, but the Dark Rainbow smashed through it as if it was made of paper.
"Oh no! The barrier!" shouted Shining Armor with a migrain. Cadence rushed over to comfort him.
"That thing just tore right through my brother's barrier?! What is this?!" asked Twilight in anxiety.
"Not if I have anything to say about it!" shouted Rainbow Dash as she flew to a head on collision course with the rainbow. Tucking her wings, Rainbow gained more and more momentum, enough to perform a quick Sonic Rainboom and combat the Dark Rainbow. Suddenly, a rainbow stream trailed from Rainbow Dash as she entered supersonic speed.
"Insignificant little ponies!" shouted Tirek, "Rainbow of Darkness, I will handle this pesky one!" He raised his right arm, and a yellow spark eminated. As Rainbow Dash cameto point blank, he fired the spark right as she was about to collide with the Dark Rainbow. The blast knocked Rainbow Dash out of her Sonic Rainboom, and she started to fall towards the ground.
"Rainbow Dash!" cried out Twilight as she rushed forward, but a gray pegasus caught her.
"Look! Somepony caught her!" shouted Applejack with relief. The gray, derp-eyed pegasus approached the main group, and dropped her there in an abrupt manner. Everypony rushed to Rainbow Dash. Now, Tirek has arrived on level with the main group, confident that he has instilled fear in everypony, except the two rulers.
"Who are you?" said a suddenly serious Luna.
"I am your new ruler. You will refer to me as Lord Tirek!" he answered.
"You just come charging in and then declare yourself ruler of Equestria?!" shouted Celestia.
"No, I am not the ruler of Equestria. I am the ruler of all worlds! And all of you are now my subjects!" He continued in a threatening tone. "Defy me, and you will face my fullest wrath!"
"How dare you terrorize my subjects! For this, you will pay!" Celestia exclaimed, now furious, she focuses an imense amount of magic. Luna stands by Celestia's side and does the same. "You will not get away with this Tirek!" the two sisters spoke in unison. "We will banish you to the void between worlds! The Singularity!" The two rulers now rose. Everypone was in sheer awe by their combined power. The sisters' eyes glowed white, but Tirek was not impressed.
"The Singularity?" Twilight questioned. "I don't even know what that is. So nopony ask me."
Laughing tirelessly, Tirek extended both his arms and gathered power. With the aid of the Rainbow of Darkness, he rose just like the sisters. "Foolish little ponies! My kingdom is the Singularity! I have dominion of all worlds! Now, behold the power of darkness!" The sisters fired a combined beam as powerful as the Elements of Harmony. "Rainbow of Darkness! Intercept the attack!"
The rainbow obeyed Tirek's command. It slithered itself into the attack and consumed it. Now the rainbow darted towards the sisters, knocking both unconscious. "Hahaha!! This is what happens to anyone who defies me!" shouted Tirek in triumph. Celestia and Luna fell to the ground. Now, everypony looked hopelessly on as Tirek unleashed his power. "This is now my domain!" he slammed all the built up energy into the ground, and everything went into a white flash.
"Celestia! Nooo!" shouted Twilight as she became blinded frim Tirek's attack.
Twilight regained consciousness. She stumbled back up. She looked around. "Where am I?" she asked herself. All she saw was herself and her friends unconscious in a white expanse.
