A Little Relief
He entered the library doors, which were unexpectedly unlocked. The young pegasus walked into the library and saw that nopony was there, not even the librarian's assistant, nor her pet owl. He looked at the staircase and decided to ascend, knowing that the room upstairs was the personal quarters of Ponyville's librarian. He got upstairs and, sure enough, he saw who he was looking for; Princess Twilight Sparkle was on her work desk, reading several tomes she had gotten from the regal sisters' castle in the Everfree. She wore a pair of reading glasses, not because she had poor eyesight but rather to aid her in looking closely at the details of the writing. Her mane was tied back to prevent it from covering over her face as she read. She was so focused on her readings that she did not seem to notice the pegasus stallion slowly walking toward her. She was only able to notice when she suddenly felt a kiss on her cheek.
Twilight blushed and was totally taken by surprise. She immediately stopped reading her book and looked to her immediate left where she felt the kiss. There, she saw Flash Sentry, wearing his military uniform minus the helmet. He did not have the usual smile on his face that Twilight loved, but nevertheless, the alicorn princess smiled at the sight of him.
"Flash!" greeted Twilight. "What are you doing here?"
"My unit is on R&R Leave (Rest and Relaxation), so I decided to visit you." he replied.
At this time, Twilight Sparkle and Flash Sentry were already in a relationship. The princess continued to live in Ponyville, where she continued to search for the keys that opened the mysterious box found in the tree of harmony. Flash Sentry was stationed in the Crystal Empire, where he guarded the Crystal Palace. They rarely found any free time to see each other due to all the duties that they had.
"Where's Spike?" asked Flash Sentry.
"I sent him to Canterlot to aid Princess Celestia with some paper work." replied Twilight. "I'm by myself here for now, studying and searching for clues that can help my friends and I open a chest we found in the Everfree."
"I see you really were busy." said Flash as he looked at the tower of books that were on Twilight's desk. "I'm sorry for disturbing you."
"You don't have to be sorry, Flash." she replied, taking off her reading glasses. "I should be sorry for not even noticing or greeting you when you came into the library."
She levitated her glasses off her face and placed them down on the desk. She then turned her head to look back at Flash Sentry, but noticed that he still did not have that warm smile that she always loved. Curious as to why her coltfriend was not his cheerful self, she asked him,
"What's the matter?"
Flash Sentry gave a sigh and looked back at Twilight. The princess could tell from his eyes that he did not feel too well. He replied to her, saying,
"Forgive me of my language, Twilight, but royal guards in my unit are just assholes."
Twilight was taken aback by his sudden, vulgar language.
"Ever since you and I started dating," he continued. "the guys in my unit began to make my life a living Tartarus."
"How?" Twilight inquired.
"Well, for starters, some of my men won't even listen to my orders, and even if they do, they always try to screw it up on purpose, making me look bad. Even my own senior officers tend to put me down; they keep assigning me to shitty jobs like kitchen cleaning and latrine duty."
"Why in Equestria would they do that?" asked Twilight.
"I think they're jealous." Flash replied. "I mean, how can I be so lucky enough to be in a relationship with a princess of Equestria? Why are so many ponies pissed just because I'm in love with a princess?"
He made a brief sigh and added, "Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armour have high expectations for me since they both know that you and I are together. I can't blame them; they both want what's best for you. But, the pressure is just to intense for me."
He became silent for a moment, then finished, saying, "I think everypony hates me..."
Hearing this, Twilight walked up to him and leaned herself on him, her head caressing Flash's neck and mane, and said,
"I don't hate you."
A small smile came to Flash's face at hearing her comforting words. He felt the warm affection that Twilight's body was giving to him, and he leaned back against her, caressing his head on her neck and mane. The two cuddled for a while before Twilight backed off to kiss him on the lips. Flash accepted the kiss, pressing his lips back at Twilight's. As they kissed, the alicorn began to untie her mane and let her hair fall flawlessly. She broke the kiss and looked at Flash, who in turned looked back at the beauty that stood before him.
"Flash," she said to him. "Do you want me to give you some relief?"
"Umm... sure..." replied Flash, not knowing exactly what she had in mind.
"Follow me." said Twilight as she began to make her way to another set of stairs. This set of stairs, however was shorter, because they led up to her bedroom. Flash followed the princess up the stairs and saw Twilight fly to her bed. She landed on the bed and sat down. She turned to look at him with a smirk, her eyelids half-opened, as if she was making a seductive face. Flash realized what she was implying, but he jokingly said,
"I thought you were busy studying."
"I was," she replied. "but I really want to make you feel better after everything you said."
Flash smiled at her statement. It was improper for anypony to turn down an offer by a princess, and he had to admit, they way Twilight said was very alluring to him. His wings were opened up in excitement, and the alicorn noticed it. She began to position herself on bed, laying on her side, showing off her curves to the excited pegasus.
"Come hither, Flash." she said, raising her hoof and suggesting him to come join her in bed.
Flash began to take off his uniform and slowly make his way to the bed. He tried to hide his excitement, but both he and the princess were eager for the coming moment. Twilight's face smiled to a smirk as he got on the bed and crawled his way toward her. The two met in the middle of the bed, Twilight lying on the left and Flash lying on the right. Flash looked down at Twilight, and Twilight looked up at Flash. Their eyes met warmly, gazing into the other's loving stare. The pegasus had forgotten entirely all his problems; all that mattered to him now was that one pony was there to love him, and he was there to love her.
"I love you, Twilight Sparkle."
"I love you too, Flash Sentry."
They made one final kiss before finally dozing off to sleep. The two would not see each other in a long while after; Twilight had to make up for the studies she was supposed to do that night, and Flash Sentry had to return to the Crystal Empire, since his R&R leave was going to end tomorrow. At least the royal guard got his relief from the princess.
