The Rainbow Syndrome

Lightning Flicker, a blue pegasus with a yellow and black mane, flew to Ponyville.
It wasn’t his first time there, but he hasn’t been there that much.
‘’Where is she?’’ He said as he smashed a cloud. He was looking for Pinkie Pie who told him to meet her at Sugarcube Corner. He landed just outside the shop and waited.‘’HELLO!’’ The pink earth pony came jumping in front of him, scaring him so much he almost fell to the ground.

‘’Why hello Pinkie!’’ He almost yelled. ‘’Why should I meet you here?’’ He asked.
A little awkward moment passed and Pinkie said: ‘’Oh we could just hang out! Or maybe prank somepony? Or even better, bake some cupcakes!’’.

The blue pegasus pondered for a moment, thinking of which to choose. Hanging out seemed like a great idea, they could just talk or walk around town. Pranking somepony, he didn’t like pranking other ponies so much, it sure was fun but the other ponies would get annoyed. Baking cupcakes was fine, it wasn’t something he didn’t want to do. Even though he wanted to hang out he chose baking cupcakes.

Lightning Flicker walked into Sugar Cube being followed by an jumping pony

Lightning Flicker wasn’t that good at baking, but he tried to not show it so he let Pinkie do the hard work.

When they came into the shop, he saw that she had already baked one cupcake. ‘’It’s for you!’’ She said while handing(hoofing?that sounds like fisting in human form... xD) the cupcake to him. It looked good. And it tasted good.
‘’Oh no,’’ Pinkie said. ‘’I forgot one ingredient! We gotta go to the basement, and get it.’’she said.

They walked down the stairs, but when Lightning Flicker reached the middle of the stairs, he felt some dizziness in his head. ‘’Pinkie what did you put in those cupcakes?’’ Lightning said. ‘’Huh?’’She answered. ‘’Pinkie-’’. He said as he fainted.

He woke up on a hard bed, he did not recognize. His hooves felt heavy, so did his eyelids. He forced them open, realizing his mouth was open. He closed it and sit up. Nopony was here, he didn’t know where he were. He then heard hoofsteps, and the creaking of a door being opened. He saw Pinkie Pie coming, followed by a doctor.

‘’Oh you’re awake, I have some bad news, and some news that are even worse.’’ The doctor said. ‘’Which do you want to hear first?’’. He pondered for a while. He didn’t know this guy. ‘’I’ll take the bad, first.’’
‘’Okay,’’ the doctor said. ‘’You have a serious case of hay allergy.’’ That was not so bad, he could live with that. ‘’What about the other bad news? Please tell me.’’ At the end of that sentence he saw Spitfire walking in. He was just about to say something, but she interrupted him. ‘’We’re the only ponies left. At least what we know.’’ He thought for a second.
‘’What do you mean?’’ He said. Pinkie Pie answered. ‘’Everypony’s super crazy! Which is just like normal crazy, but they’re wearing a cape! No actually they’re not, but I just HAD to pull that off! I mean like it was good right?’’ Without even taking a break, to take a breath. After an awkward silence, the doctor spoke up: ‘’Pinkie, please be serious. We don’t know where this started, or what it is. We just know everypony are bloodthirsty.’’ Lightning Flicker kind of died inside. My cousin, brother, sister, mother, father. My friends! They’re all bloodthirsty monsters! And with those thoughts, he gasped, jumped out of the hospital bed, and ran out of the door, into the empty hallway. Where he found the door to the outside, and ran out there.

Everything was empty. He walked out to the little swing set, where foals could play. He heard a crackling sound behind him. He turned around and saw a pony, but when he realized what it was doing, he screamed, and stood frozen. The pony noticed him, and began galloping towards him, with a bloodthirsty look in it’s face. It only reached about one meter, before spitfire hit it in the face, knocking it out. Its bloodthirsty look, turned into a confused look.

Lightning Flicker was scared for life, which he thought there was not much more of. He needed some time to think everything through, which he couldn’t.

Spitfire puffed him angrily on his shoulder. He was frozen. Though he didn’t realize it, he ran. He just ran nowhere. He was confused, angry and scared at the same time. His vision blurred and his mind went black. Tears ran down his face, as he began to fly. He landed in his house, which was in ruins. No thoughts crossed him. Emotions only. He began breaking lamps, glass and various other things. He got a necklace from his grandmother, which he carefully put around his neck.

Just at that moment he heard something fall down and suddenly the house started shaking. Lightning dashed out just in time so see that it wasn’t just his house that was strangely shaking, the whole street was shaking and started to crack and form some sort of hole. Lightning walked closer the hole to see the magma flowing through at the end. Without any warning the hole started to grow bigger and sucked Lightning into it. He got out of it just in time and started hoovering to see how the whole street started to get sucked down into the growing hole.
“I’m so lucky to have wings”,he said
Lightning couldn't continue looking how his friends houses got sucked in and flew away, far far away to a place he thought would be safe.

After a long and exhausting flying trip Lightning came to the famous and beautiful Crystal Empire. Lightning landed on the crystallized ground and started admiring the town.
“Wow! Such beauty”,he exclaimed. He started walking around when he suddenly heard a strange noise. He turned around to see the big eyes of as Lightning thought hundreds of strange looking bloody ponies slowly walking towards him. “Oh my....”
