"Princess Twilight Sparkle!" Princess Celestia cried as Twilight and her friends ran though the door of the Crystal Empire's castle "Thank you for getting here so quickly, and at such short notice too."
"Anything for you Princess," Twilight said, her and her friends bowing their heads respectfully, "What the problem this time?" she asked.
Celestia turned and started to walk down the hall, the elements of harmony and Spike following her, "It's the portal, the one to Canterlot high, something has made it become... corrupt," The sun goddess explained "I can only take what you have told me of this place Twilight, but the results of this can't be good for those who live there."
The group entered the great hall were Princess Luna, Princess Cadence and Shining Armour were waiting, Cadence beamed when see saw them.
"Twilight!" She yelled running up to the element of magic, the two of them hugging, "It's so good to see you."
"You too Cadence," Twilight said grinning. "Sunshine sunshine, ladybugs awake, clap your hooves and do a little shake!" They chanted.
Shining Armour groaned, "Do you two have to do that every time you meet?"
The two alicorns giggled, "Yes." They said in perfect timing.
"When you are all are quite done," Luna said, ruffling her feathery wings, "We have important matters to attend too."
The younger princesses settled and followed Luna and Celestia towards the room where the portal was kept.
"Oh.. my" Fluttershy whimpered, hiding behind Rainbow Dash, the blue pegasus simply rolling her eyes.
The portal, as well as the room it was kept in had noticeably darkened, instead of the portal being mirror like it had become a black void, with red and blue swirls. The frame of the portal was rusted and cracked at the edges. The whole thing just gave off a bad feeling.
Luna walked fearlessly up to it and peered in, "The magic that has done this is not unlike the one which made me Nightmare moon, but there's something different this time." She turned to the elements, "We need you, Twilight Sparkle, to go though this portal and find the cause of its corruption, and this time you need to take your friends with you."
"Your sending us, IN THERE?!" Pinkie Pie shirked. Fluttershy squeaked and Rarity looked as though she was going to faint, the others just looked horrified.
Celestia nodded "Whatever has corrupted this was cause due to something beyond this gateway, we need harmony to be restored in order for the darkness to stop, we don't know how long we have before it spreads over the Crystal Empire. The only one who is immune to this is Luna."
Applejack frowned, "With all due respect princess, are you sure this is a good idea, ah mean not just for our safety and all, but what if this darkness does spread to Equestria, then what? And about our family's?" she asked
Celestia smiled weakly, "A spell has been cast so that when you and your six elements pass though this portal my magic will find six more from the world that you enter, with the elements closest to them, my magic will bring them here. As for your safety, your own elements will protect you and the new elements will protect your families."
"Uh-huh, well can we trust em?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Let us hope so," Luna said softly.
"What about me?" Spike asked, he looked worriedly at the portal and gulped.
"You'll have to most important job of all," Cadence smiled, "Showing the new elements around Ponyville."
Spike bit his lip, worried for Twilight and the others, but he trusted Princess Celestia. Plus he didn't exactly want to go to this new place anyway.
"I hope that you are all ready," Shining Armour said, "We don't know what's through that portal any more, but it's definitely not Canterlot high."
"Don't worry about us," Twilight said putting on a brave face, "We'll be fine, it's the rest of Equestria I'm worried about."
"Well the sooner you fix this the soon you can come home, and everything should be back in order." Luna reassured the youngest Princess.
So the elements of harmony packed up everything that they thought that they might need and prepared to leave.
Celestia bowed to them, "Stay safe my little ponies, we're counting on you."
Rarity laughed nervously, "No pressure then"
After the last pony, Rainbow dash, passes though the portal Luna turned to her sister, "Are you sure this is a good idea Tia?"
Celestia sighed, "I don't know Luna, I really don't, I just worry for our ponies safety and this is the only way I can see it being fixed."
Luna shook her head, "Well then, now we just need to meet these new elements."

"Attention! Stop fighting! I repeat, stop fighting now!" The Administrator shouted across the battlefield known as 2Fort.
A mixture of confusion and annoyance spread across the field, each team member freezing mid battle to stare at the speakers.
"This better be good lady." BLU Soldier shouted, "Because you are interrupting us from giving these BLU maggots a good ass kicking."
"We're beating ya lad," RED Demoman said, taking a sip of scrumpy, Soldier growled back.
"What's ze issue?" RED Spy asked, de-cloaking behind BLU Sniper with butterfly knife raised ready to backstab, the Australian sharpshooter flinched.
"There has been a disturbance just outside the town of Teufort and I need you idiots to go and remove it." The Administrator snapped over the speakers
"Why have we gotta go do your dirty work anyway?" BLU Scout asked, lowering his bat and getting a can of Bonk! out of his bag.
The Administrator ignored Scout and gave out her instructions, "Due to the recent results of victories and defeats, RED team will go and find out what this thing is and dispose of it unless it is useful or valuable. BLU team will stay here and clean up. looks like it's a ceasefire today gentlemen. Enjoy it before I change my mind."
The whole RED team groaned in unison and BLU Pyro cheered, "Aw man, that ain't fair. We're winning." RED Scout grumbled causing his BLU counterpart to snicker.
"Don't make me send Saxton Hale down there, you know what happens when he... visits." The Administrator said coldly.
Both teams shuddered and decided just to go along with it rather then arguing, the BLU team picking up weapons that could be used as ammunition before going back to their base to go about their day. The RED team began their long trek to this 'disturbance' about a mile from Teufort.
"Why can't leetle baby BLU team do this?" Heavy asked rolling his shoulders.
"I don't know but if zis zing is alive zen I get to cut it up." Medic said casually, causing his team mates to glare at him, "Vat? I've been bored! None of you are ill any more."
"Yo guys! There's people up here!" Scout yelled from a few yards away, he whistled, "They're girls too."
"Trust you to say that." Engineer muttered.
"Whatever." Scout scoffed.
As the rest of the team approached they froze, before them were the strangest group they had ever seen. There were six girls, each one of them had a head full of bright, colourful hair styled in many fancy ways. All the things that they were wearing seemed to have a theme, one was balloons, another butterflies, even apples and diamonds.
One of the girls, with stetson hat over her blond hair and an apple themed outfit noticed the mercenaries, "Uh, girls?" She said tapping the rainbow haired girl on the shoulder, "Ya might want to take a look at this."
The other five girls turned and stared blankly at the mercenary, who all stared back. All fifteen of them awkwardly staring at one another until a girl with straight purple and pink hair wearing pink stars on her clothing cleared her throat.
"Hello, I'm Princess Twilight Sparkle and these are my friends. Who might you all be?" She asked, stepping forward

BLU Medic sighed for the third time as he wandered down the hallways doodling on his clipboard. He was bored, nobody was sick, nobody was injured, there were no new books and he had finished all of his paperwork. There was nothing interesting to do.
Archimedes, perched on Medic's shoulder, stared down at the clipboard for a long time, confused by what his master was doing when the dove suddenly shuddered and looked down the hall.
"Archimedes?" Medic asked, as he stopped walking, "Vats vrong?"
A few seconds passed with the pair just staring down the hall before Archimedes cooed and took to the air, flying down the passage. Leaving a bewildered Medic behind.
"Vat the! Archimedes!?" Medic yelled after his beloved dove, but he was already around the corner. That was weird, Archimedes never acts like that. After a few more seconds a childlike grin spread across the German's face. Something different is happening . And with that the clipboard was tossed aside as Medic ran down the hall after Archimedes.
Down the hall the BLU team's Engineer and Spy were discussing battle tactics as the snow white dove flew by, both just managing to avoid it. They turned to watch the dove fly away, as Spy opened his mouth to say something they were both knocked onto the floor as Medic ran into them, who had ended up on the floor as well.
"Doc, what in Sam Hell are you doing?!" Engineer asked adjusting his yellow hard-hat, thankful that it was still there.
"Archimedes," Medic said breathlessly, he snatched his fallen glasses up from the ground and continued running down the hall. Engineer and Spy still picking themselves up off the floor.
"Do you think he hit his head or something?" Spy muttered while dusting his suit.
Engineer chuckled, "Ah think that boy hit his head a long time ago," Spy snorted, the technician continued, "Nah, ah don't know, but ah reckon this could be interesting." He turned to Spy, "Best go stop him before..."
There was another trio of yells not far off from the two which interrupted the Texan.
"...That 'appens." Spy finished bluntly.
As they walked down the hall they heard an argument break out just ahead.
"Heavy! Let me go!"
"Doktor, what are you doing?"
"Yeah man, what the hell?"
"It's Archimedes! It's all Archimedes!! He found something!"
"That bird needs a leash."
"Ya can't put leashes on pigeons Soldier."
"For ze last time. Zey are DOVES!"
"Yeah yeah, fancy pigeons, whatever."
Spy rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Merde." He muttered. The two turned a corner and stared at the four mercenaries arguing. Heavy held Medic about a foot off the ground by the collar of his shirt, Medic kicking and cursing at him. Soldier standing beside Heavy, his ever present helmet over his eyes, mixture of amusement and anger in his visible features. Scout had started to wander down the corridor, presumably in the direction of Archimedes. When he peered around the corner he did a double take.
"Er, guys?" He shouted back to the group, "Maybe the pige... dove, did find somethin'"
"See! I told you I'm not cra... okay never mind about zat but... JUST PUT ME DOWN DUMMKOPF!"
Heavy sighed and dropped Medic who straightened his tie before he and the rest of the six hurried to resupply room, where Scout was looking.
Ahead of them was what appeared to be a mirror, with Archimedes perched on top, the mirror had a strange patten swirling in it with pale, pastel colours of pink and blue.
As the group got closer Archimedes cooed and dove straight through the portal. The mercenaries stared with confusion and not prepared for Medic jumping in through the mirror after him.
"Oh uh, okay then." Engineer said after he noticed what had happened, "Now what."
"If he doesn't come back or respawn then I say we go after him." Soldier order.
Either time passed quickly or they hadn't been waiting long. Scout had already gotten bored but wasn't allowed to be dismissed, Spy was leaning against a wall smoking, Soldier hadn't moved and the others had been tending to their weapons.
"Alright men, now we move!" Soldier suddenly sprung to life and charged towards the mirror. Engineer grabbed him,
"And what about the others?" He asked
"Leave 'em a note Maggot! Lets roll out." Soldier barked, "CHARGE!!"
And with that they were gone.

"Wait wait wait, let me get dis straight right?" Scout said as he begun pacing, "You ladies are not only from some magical land, you're also horses?"
"Ponies," Twilight corrected him. "And we're from Equestria,"
"Freaking magical ass unicorns." Scout muttered.
"Maybe letting Scout talk wasn't the best idea lads," Demo muttered, "We haven't even all introduced ourselves yet."
"Well as I said, I'm Princess Twilight Sparkle." The Princess said, "Now who in equestria are you?"
Demoman nodded to Twilight and her friends, "Lassies, I'm the Demoman." He turned to look at the rest of the team expectantly.
"Well then, I am ze Spy, a pleasure to meet you all." Spy said before taking another drag of his cigarette and falling silent again.
"Well Spy, I must say that I love your suit, It's simply to die for." Rarity spoke up. "Oh, my name is Rarity."
Spy smiled in full charming mode, "Merci mademoiselle, what a beautiful name you have." Rarity couldn't help but giggle and blush.
The short man in a yellow hat suddenly jumped as if struck and turned to the girls, "Ah am so sorry that we didn't introduce ourselves from the start, it's just I've been trying to work out where y'all came from, ah should have been more polite," He chuckled weakly and smiled, "I'm the Engineer, y'all can call me Engi if ya want."
"Land sakes," A grin grew on Applejack's face, "Ah would never think they're be another southerner here. Well, I'm Applejack."
Engineer nodded, "Pleasure to meet ya. This is Pyro." He said gesturing to the firebug.
"Huddah!" Pyro waved happily, these new people blend in so nicely to pyroland.
"Huddah hudda haa!" Pinkie Pie cheered.
Pyro looked at Pinkie for a while, not moving. The pink haired party planner began to worry that she'd said something wrong when Pyro jumped up to her their hand beside their head.
"Hud mah!" Pyro exclaimed, moving their hand forward slightly.
Pinkie blinked and looked at her own hand, then back at Pyro's. Hesitantly, she raised her hand to meet Pyro's when it clicked.
"Ohh, like a hoofbump!" She chirped as the pair highfived, "Or a brohoof like those bronies call it, but anyway. Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie!" Scout looked up at her and frowned.
Pyro giggled while clapping their hands and nodding before they skipped back over to Engineer, who just shook his head chuckling.
"Y'all already met Scout.." Engineer started but was cut off by Scout.
"Dat's me, fastest outta dis lot, best lookin' too if I do say so myself." He said jumping to his feet and flexing his non-existent muscles.
"Fastest eh?" Rainbow Dash raised an eyebrow, "I'm Rainbow Dash, fastest flier in all of Equestria." She taunted.
"Hate to break it to ya Dash, but ya don't have any wings." Scout replied smirking a little.
Rainbow glared at Scout and opened her mouth to say something back when a hand rested on her shoulder.
"Please don't get into a fight, if you can help it." Fluttershy said softly. "We need these ponies to help us get home."
Rainbow Dash looked at Fluttershy then back at Scout before sighing, "Fine," She muttered, then blinked, "Oh yeah, this is Fluttershy."
Fluttershy squeaked and hid behind her fringe, "h-hello" She whispered.
"Don't be scared sheila," Sniper said calmly, "We're not allowed to hurt civilians, I'm the Sniper."
Fluttershy only smiled weakly and nodded, but she still didn't seem comfortable around the mercs. This made Heavy chuckle.
"Is okay leete girl, we only crush leetle baby BLU team." Heavy said. "I am Heavy Weapons Guy, this is my gun, Sasha." He patted the gun lovingly before glaring at Medic, "Doktor?"
Medic snapped out of his thoughts and stared around, "Huh, vat?" He looked at the girls, "Oh, I am ze Medic und I vas just vondering: Your... ah, hair? Zey seem... vell unnatural."
Before any of the girls could reply Soldier jumped in.
"THEY ARE HIPPIES THAT'S IT! THEY MUST BE DESTROYED!!" He yelled making the elements jump.
"Laddie calm down!" Demo sprung into action, grabbing Soldier before he had the chance to attack the former ponies.
"HAVEN'T YOU HEARD THEIR NAMES?! AND THEY ALL THINK THAT THEY ARE MAGICAL PONIES FROM A FAR OFF LAND!" Soldier roared as he tried to struggle past Demoman, who was now being helped by Engineer.
"We're not hippies so please don't kill us!" Twilight yelped.
"For ze record, ze admin did tell us to 'dispose' of this disturbance. Also I did say zat I could cut it if it vas alive." Medic started, gaining some horrified looks in his direction from the girls.
Heavy, after seeing the discomfort among the girls turned to Medic, "Doktor, no."
"But.."
"NO"
"Fine zen dummkopf."
"Well we ain't allowed to hurt civils anyway, it's against our contract." Scout added.
Enigneer frowned, "So how did y'all get here?" He asked, "The Administrator said that y'all just appeared outta no where."
"Believe it or not, we kinda did." Rainbow Dash replied as she ran a hand through her hair.
"Which brings us to why we are here," Twilight began, "You see.."
"OW OW OW!!" Scout yelped, jumping a foot in the air and throwing his head set across the floor, "What the hell man."
"What happened lad?" Demo asked as Engineer wandered over to the head set, scooping it up in a gloved hand and inspecting it.
"I dunno man it just started screechin' at me." Scout rubbed his ear, "Hey doc, I'm not gonna go deaf am I?"
Medic rolled his eyes before going over to the youngest member of team to make sure that Scout's ear was okay while Engineer fiddled with the head set and pressed it up to his ear.
"Whatever it was, it's gone now." He said, tossing the device back to it's owner, "It looks like someone was trying to contact you or something, or maybe the radio signal was just playin' up."
"Bet ya it was dat BLU Scout," Scout muttered, he was just about to put it back on his head when it beeped loudly and made static noises. "Ya hear that!"
"Attention Scout! Come in Scout! Are you idiots there?" The Administrator shouted through the earpiece.
Scout huffed but brought the microphone up to his mouth, "Yeah we're here, whaddya want?"
"Just now the cameras at the BLU base went offline, when they came back online the whole of the BLU team were missing." The Admin explained.
"I thought zat ze cameras couldn't be sapped." Spy pointed out while lighting a new cigarette.
"They can't, that's the problem. Also, there seems to be sighs of a struggle where the BLU Sniper, Pyro and Demoman last where before the cameras died. There is a note left behind in the resupply room but I can't read it from this angle." The Administrator added, "Forget the disturbance and find the BLUs before Redmond and Blutarch finds out." And with that she cut the connection.
"Well then mates, it looks like we're going back to find out what those bloody BLU mongrels are playing at." Sniper said, resting his rifle on his shoulder.
"What about leetle pony people?" Heavy asked.
"Ze Admin said forget about zem." Spy muttered.
"Aye but we can'nae just leave em here, we should bring em along, just ta keep an eye on em." Demo suggested.
"Fine by me." Engineer agreed, then turned to the confused looking equestrian girls, "Y'all just follow us, we'll be back at base in no time. Meanwhile, y'all can tell us how ya got here."
A slow grin grew on Scout's face, "Hey Dash! I'll race ya!" He called.
The competitive side of Rainbow made her want to race Scout, but after thinking for a moment she realised something, "I don't even know where your base is."
"Just follow me 'til ya see to big building, one red one blue. Got it?" Scout asked.
Rainbow smirked, "Bring it."

"Are you sure spell worked Princess?" Shining Armour asked the sun goddess as he turned away from the clock on the wall.
"I'm fairly certain, yes." Celestia replied frowning slightly, "I feel we should wait a little longer before I try to cast it again." Shining nodded at this.
Princess Luna began to slowly creep up to the corrupted mirror, "Be careful sister, I do not want to loose you again." Celestia said softly, Luna only nodded and lent forward looking into the mirror.
When a snow white dove flew out and perched on the Princess's horn making jump back in surprise, "Oh, hello there."
The dove simply cooed back.
"You're not one of the new elements, are you?" Cadence asked, not quite sure why she was talking to a dove.
Before the dove could even ruffle it's feathers a white unicorn fell through the portal and landed on the floor with an ungraceful thump.
"Ah, that's more like it." Shining Armour said.
The new unicorn was a stallion with a black mane and tail, both with a slight curl. He wore a pale blue lab coat. He lifted his head and blinked before staring at the ground as if looking for something.
Luna frowned and looked to the floor as well, she spotted a small pair of round spectacles on the ground. She cleared her throat while lifting the spectacles into the air with her magic.
"Are these yours?" The princess asked.
The stallion looked up at Luna and squinted, "If zey are glasses zen yes."
Princess Luna nodded and moved the glasses onto the unicorn's muzzle. He blinked twice and slowly looked the Princess up and down. "Oh, uh hallo.. Unicorn?" He said, staring at the Princess of the night.
"Well, alicorn actually." Luna corrected him as she unfolded her wings.
A crazed grin spread over the stallion's face. He used his forelegs to push himself onto his hind legs but quickly lost his balance, toppling over and falling onto his rump.
"I take it you weren't a pony before then?" Cadence asked.
"Gott, zeres more of you." The unicorn said, staring at the other three ponies in the room. "Und nein, I'm not a pony." He raised a hoof to rub his head, when his hoof made contact with his skull his eyes went wide.
"Vat!" He yelped, bringing both front hooves up to his face. "No, zis is impossible!"
Before anypony could explain a second pony flew thorough the portal, it was a dark green pegasus with a dark blue helmet that covered his eyes, he landed on the floor beside the panicking unicorn.
"VAT!" The Unicorn shouted again, staring at the pegasus, "Soldier?!"
The pegasus called Soldier groaned and looked around, then pushed his helmet up and turned to the unicorn and laughed, "Wow Doc, looks like Merasmus turned you into a hippy horse."
The unicorn snorted and rolled away, "Speak for yourself dummkopf." He frowned at the portal the portal.
"Why are you looking at me likeAHRG!" A second pegasus came crashing through the portal and landed on Soldier, "GET OFF OF ME MAGGOT!"
The new pegasus, with a blue coat and blond mane as well as sliver dog tags hanging around his neck, grumbled and pushed himself away from the first pegasus. The unicorn shook his head, "Please don't tell me zat I'm stuck here vith you two swinehunds."
"Hey! It's not like I wanna be with two old guys." The pegasus said, he looked down at himself and frowned "And anyway, why are we all sissy horses?"
"INCOMING!" Boomed a voice as a massive, dark blue earth pony came charging out from the portal only to trip on his own hooves and fall over. The first unicorn tutted and shakily walked, no , trotted over to help the stallion up.
Once the stallion had gotten to his hooves, (Which made him about the same hight as Celestia, maybe a little shorter), he looked looked over at the unicorn, "Doktor?" He asked.
Medic nodded, "Ja herr Heavy, it's me."
Heavy's brow furrowed in confusion, before an explanation could be offered a fifth pony passed though the portal, this one was a grey unicorn with a blue ski mask covering his face, a suit and a dark grey tail. He caught himself just before falling and managed to stay upright.
"By ze way, Engineer is not happy." He said, frowning slightly as he noticed that they were no longer human.
"Great." Scout muttered.
A second earth pony with an orange coat, yellow hard hat and goggles over his eyes stormed through the portal. His expression was briefly surprised as he scanned over the other ponies in the room until he recognised Medic, and anger returned to his face.
"Ya got some explaining to do Doc," He growled, jabbing a hoof at Medic, who laughed nervously.
"Zat might be a little more difficult zen you might zink," He started, Engineer titled his head, "Ha ha.. vell..."
"SCOUT IS FLYING!" Soldier suddenly interrupted, "SCOUT SHOULDN'T BE FLYING! GET DOWN FROM THERE! THAT IS AN ORDER!"
Scout crashed back down to earth ungracefully and grumbled at Soldier "Hey, can't we just figure out why we are all colourful horses first? I think that's kinda the main thing here." Scout snapped back.
"How about how we all got here in the first place?" The ski mask wearing pony asked.
"What is this place?" Heavy added.
"What I'd like to know is why Doc thought it was a good idea to jump down some hole in the wall." Engineer said.
"Vell sometimes science needs sacrifices." Medic said quietly.
"Oh and your sacrifices are you're team? You're friends?"
"I never asked you to follow me!"
On the other side of the room, the four ponies and one dragon watched as the argument unfolded in front of them. Princess Luna looked up at her sister, and back at the six new ponies before backing away and covering her ears with her hooves.
"ENOUGH!" Princess Celestia boomed in full royal canterlot tone, making the walls shake slightly. She took hold of the six in her magic and held them still.
The sun goddess sighed and closed her eyes, she put on her best smile and opened them again. "I am Princess Celestia, Princess of the sun. This is my sister, Princess Luna, she is the princess of the moon. Over there are Prince Shining Armour and Princess Cadence, and this is Spike, the dragon." She looked over the six ponies that she was holding, "Now, when I let to go, you will listen and do as you are told. Understand?"
After a few more seconds she let the six go, "Explain yourselves... Without arguing if you can help it."
Engineer quickly spoke before Soldier could, "Ya see ma'am, we're... er... mercenaries, working for Builders League United, or BLU for short." Celestia frowned but nodded, "We followed our Medic though that there portal, so we best be on our way now. Right boys?"
The Blus nodded and began to follow shakily pick themselves up, Soldier tripped over his wings. Shinning Armor blinked, "Wait where did you come from?"
"Ve came from our base in Teufort," Spy said.
Shinning Armour glared at them, "My sister has just gone into your world with her friends, if she ends up hurt because your team attacked her, then I swear I'll..."
"Jeez man calm down, we ain't allowed to hurt civilians." Scout yelled over him.
"Speaking of which, we gotta get back to our team." Engineer added. He turned to the gateway and raised a hoof to touch the portal, when he did black sparks shot up and around his hoof and sent him flying backwards.
Medic hurried (best he could in his strange new body) over to Engineer and made sure that he was unharmed before the BLU team all stared at Princess Celestia, who sighed.
"I'm sorry, but you can't leave until this problem is fixed. I should have told you before but.." She shook her head.
The BLUs were silent for a long time until Spy spoke up, "How long is zat going to take?"
"I-i, I do not know."
A wave a sock and sadness washed over the BLU team, half had their eyes fixed on Celestia, not sure whether to feel angry or sad, the others looked away, not wanting to feel either. Archimedes cooed softly and fluttered over to his master.
"But, my ma.." Scout whispered
"I'm sorry, I should have come here." Medic said quietly, letting Archimedes rest on his head, "It's mein fault."
