Chapters A Sophomore In An Alien Land
"Ugh, first day at a new school." Sighed Golden Shadow as he walked towards the school building feeling, nervous about what he was going to discover within those doors.
Golden stood at about six feet tall, and wore some peculiar facial makeup. His entire face was painted white, except for his eyes which were outlined in black with a little point facing towards his also painted black lips. Below this were three more black lines. The outer lines were thin, and the middle one was much thicker. All three of the facial lines though ran down over his chin, and ran until it touched his neck, as did the white face paint. He was wearing a green jacket with a picture of a red man running and holding a hatchet. He also had a black wool beanie with the same insignia on it. He also wore some torn blue denim jeans that were covered in light dust.
He had barely walked through the swinging metal door when a loud ringing interrupted all conversation, and turned it into a stampede of students rushing to their respective classes. He struggled to make it through the crowds, and made his way to the offices to pick up his schedule.
He was about to open the door into the main office, but then he saw a character that intrigued him greatly. She had tall blue boots, as well as light and fair skin that was tinted pink. She was wearing a light purple skirt with three balloons on it. Two of the balloons were blue, and the one in the middle being yellow. Her sweater was a light blue and seemed to be made of cotton, and it also had a golden "C" on it. Her eyes were blue were like diamonds. She also long and extremely messy pink hair.
She was staring blankly at a locker when Golden walked up to her, and asked her "Hi, I am new here, and I was wondering if you were OK?"
She took one glance at him, screamed, and then bolted down the halls only looking back once with a face of true fear.
"Well that was weird." Said Golden as he scratched his head.
Golden shrugged it off and walked over to the offices and obtained his schedule, and was instantly confused by all the numbers and names.
He simply stared at it for a moment, before meandering his way to the library that he had passed when he went to the main office.
When he walked into the library the first thing he noticed was the lack of adult supervision, to which he just smiled and sat at a table. He put his legs up and his chair back, and slowly went to sleep.
"You can't just skip class, come in here, and fall asleep! This is unacceptable!" Scolded a young voice, as Golden's eyes slowly opened to reveal to him another student. She had purple tinted skin, and long straight purple hair with a pink stripe running through it. She was wearing tall boots just like the other girl, except that these were purple, and she was wearing thick pink socks that stuck out on top of the boots. She had a dark purple skirt with a crimson star on the side of it. She had a sky blue blouse, as well as a pink bow tie resting neatly near her collar. "Are you even listening to me?" she continued still in an angry tone of voice.
"What, yeah." Stuttered Golden still waking up from his nap. "I'm sorry. I'm new here, and have no idea where anything is, so I thought I would just come in here and sleep. Better than roaming the halls, and being a distraction to everyone else. So, what's your name?" Asked Golden seeming slightly more confident than he had moments before.
The girl warmly smiled, and responded "My name is Twilight Sparkle, and what is yours?"
"My name is Golden Shadow." He replied with a light grin on his painted face. He dusted a spider that had been crawling on him off onto the floor, and then pulled out his schedule, now crumpled up from being stuffed in his pocket. "Hey, do you have any idea where any of these places are?" He asked showing the schedule sheet he had obtained a few hours earlier.
She looked at it and giggled slightly and said "You are heading to the cafeteria to eat next." She said with her light giggling subsiding "Also I think I will give you a hand, and walk you there."
Twilight motioned for Golden to follow her, and they began walking through the halls.
"You realize you slept all day right?" Said Twilight looking at him curiously
"Shit, I guess I did. Oh well I won't tomorrow." Replied Golden with a slight look of embarrassment on his face.
"So, is this your first day?" Asked Twilight nervously.
"Yes actually it is. I just moved here to Canterlot last week." Replied Golden while smiling at Twilight.
"Oh, that's nice." Said Twilight smiling back at Golden. "Would it be to much to ask about the face paint. It's kind of creepy."
"I would be my pleasure to explain it." Replied Golden smiling even more, "See, I am a juggalo."
"What is a juggalo?" Asked Twilight looking extremely perplexed.
"I really like you Twilight." Replied Golden, while laughing a little, "Most people will just look at me and either harass me, or just plainly treat me like a member of the walking dead. A juggalo is a person who follows the teaching, and is a fan of the Insane Clown Posse . I already know what question you are going to ask. What is the Insane Clown Posse ?"
Twilight was now blushing and simply asked "Well, who are they?"
"They are a horrorcore group. They talk about murder, drugs, pedophilia, and other such evil things." Replied Golden.
"That sounds awful!" Interrupted Twilight in a voice of disgust.
"It is rude to interrupt people you know." Said Golden still laughing under his breath. "They are a horrorcore group that talks about all those evil things and how they are wrong. They speak out against corporate greed and bigotry. Does that still sound as awful?" Asked Golden with a straight face.
"Doesn't sound like something I would like, but I do see the good in it. I can't say much though considering I have never heard it though." Replied Twilight.
The two continued idle conversation for a few more moments, until they finally reached the cafeteria.
"Well, here we are" Said Twilight, "You want to meet my friends?"
"Why not?" Replied Golden jovially.
The two walked over to a table with five other girls sitting on assorted seats. One of them being the other pink haired girl from earlier.
Twilight motioned Golden to sit on a seat right next to a rainbow haired girl, and then said, "Hi everyone, this is Golden Shadow. He is new here. I was thinking he could sit with us today considering it's his first day and all." Twilight sat down next to Golden, and said motioning to the rainbow haired girl sitting next to him "This is Rainbow Dash." She then motioned over to a girl with long light pink hair and yellow tinted skin, and said "This is Fluttershy." She then pointed her gaze towards the pink tinted pony ,and said "This is Pinkie Pie."
Pinkie Pie began beaming, and said "Hi Golden! My name is Pinkie Pie, but my friends call me Pinkie, and since you seem to be friends with Twilight that means we must be friends right? Of course I am right! You know something I love? I love parties. We should have a party this weekend for your coming to town and Canterlot High school. Hey, what's up with the makeup? Are you a clown? You know what you could really use with your clown makeup? You should use some color!"
"OK dear, I believe that is enough. Hello, my name is Rarity" A girl off to the side said softly. She had perfectly maintained purple hair and silky white skin, and a very elegant voice and manner.
A girl with orange tinted skin, bleached blond hair, and a tan hat stood up, extended her arm, and said "Hello there, my name is Applejack."
Golden shook her hand and said, "You all know my name. Golden Shadow, and it's a pleasure to meet you all."
A few moments later a rather large individual slowly walked up behind Twilight, and pushed her head into the tray of food she had before her right before walking back to his friends. Twilight simply picked her head up.
Rainbow Dash was about to get up when Twilight said, "Don't go over there. If you do he wins."
Golden grew a hateful look on his face, and said "I don't care."
Golden stood up and speedily walked over to the gang of ruffians, and said "The fuck you doing messing with those ladies over there? Little shits like you make me sick. You are just so weak that you pick on them instead of someone your size."
"You're joking right? Little man wearing makeup thinks he can take me. Bitch, I am on the varsity wrestling team here you don't have a chance against me." Replied the man standing a few inches over Golden.
Golden slowly walked up to the man, and landed a right jab in his Adam's apple. The man fell over and began vomiting and crying.
"You hear me you little shit!" Screamed Golden, "You fuck with them, you fuck with me, or anyone else in this fucking school I will beat you into a bloody pulp, and you want to know why? It's because you are nothing, but a little piece of shit that preys on the defenseless."
"Your going to regret this!" Croaked the young man now writhing in pain on the floor.
"Doubt it" Replied Golden, now laughing a little.
Golden walked back over to the table, and sat down with the girls once more. Fluttershy was trembling from the whole ordeal, and so was everyone else, except for Rainbow Dash who said "Holy shit, that was awesome!"
Twilight broke out of her trance, and said "Why did you do that? We gave them attention, so they won."
"Not exactly." Replied Golden with a sadistic smile on his face, "The fact that I put him on the floor crying means that I won. He fucked with you, so I gave him what he deserves; pain."
Everyone was silent for the rest of the period, and the bell to release everyone to their cars and buses rang a few minutes later.
On Twilight's and Golden's way out, Twilight said "I hope we talk again tomorrow."
To which Golden simply replied "As do I."
Author's Note
A little non grim dark fiction. I plan on continuing this, but consider this a little pilot/concept chapter. This is also the first chapter in something that I am purely writing to learn how to write non gore and non messed up fiction, so please be patient with me I have a lot less tools to work with. (this chapter is crap I am sorry. I re read it and I plan on editing it sometime soon)

The Beginning of Something Good
The air was thick as Golden trudged through the streets of a carnival only dimly lit by the moon sitting loosely in the sky. The streets were paved with crimson red cement, and in tact skulls that seemed to moan in pain whenever Golden walked upon them.
He was walking through the dark streets and alleyways when he came across a large carnival tent. The tent sported red and black stripes running vertically down the fabric. The entrance was about eight feet tall and six feet wide. Right above the entrance was a face. The face was white with three teeth, and all of them were rotting. His lips were painted red and designed to form a smile. Two hands were also shown. One holding a minimalistic red bird, and the other containing a wand. The wand was red with a white tip. He had one black, empty eye, and where another eye would be there is only a black "X". On his head he had a large gray hat which resembled that of a sultan's. The hat was adorned with about a dozen or so medium sized stars. Running vertically along the hat was a red feather that twirled inward at the top. Below this image was a large font text that read "The Great Milenko".
Golden couldn't help himself, and quickly ran inside of the gargantuan tent. Inside he saw a horrible spectacle. There was a man with a crack pipe in his hands, and was smoking and getting high off the fumes. Moments later the man that was named "The Great Milenko" walked in and simply said "The wicked die here you know." and disappeared. A few more moments later and the man who had been smoking his pipe began screaming and writhing in pain. All of the fumes he had ingested came out through his nostrils and formed into a faceless man with a hatchet. The man faceless man walked up to him and rose his hatchet, and swung it at the defenseless crack addict. Right as the hatchet moved through the addict he disappeared into a haze of fumes.
Golden woke up in a sweat from the fiasco he had just witnessed.
"Damn!" Said Golden removing his sheets and getting out of bed, "That wasn't exactly how I planned on getting up this morning." He grumbled.
Golden dressed himself in his green jacket, beanie, and blue denim jeans. He then started putting on his makeup when he heard someone yell from the apartments entrance. The voice was high pitched and sounded familiar. After a few moments he figured out who it was, and said "Come in Pinkie Pie."
Pinkie busted in through the doors, and noticed that the living area was a mess. More of a mess than what she was used to making! There were random piles of pants and shirts lying everywhere, and the T.V was on some strange cartoon channel. A couple of hand made cigarettes were laying around on tables and ash trays.
Golden came out with his normal makeup on, and said "How the hell did you figure out where I live?"
Pinkie took a deep breath, grew a beaming smile on her face, and then said ecstatically, "Well, since you asked, I found you by looking you up in the phone book, and then I called your house, and your dad or brother or something picked up, and then I told them who I was, and then they gave me your address. so then I started running over here to meet you this morning, and now I'm here." Finished Pinkie, now panting from her long explanation.
"Dammit dad." Muttered Golden with a look of annoyance on his freshly painted face, "I'm sorry Pinkie," He said now in a louder more clear tone, "I'm assuming you came here to walk me to school, or something. I'm ready, so we should probably go."
Pinkie nodded, grabbed Golden's hand, and bolted out of the building and toward the school building, which was only about ten minutes away from his apartment complex.
After a few minutes of running they slowed down, and Golden asked, "Hey, do you have any of these classes with me?" while loosely holding his schedule out to her.
Pinkie Pie snatched it from his hands, speedily read over each name and number on the crumpled up page, and then finally said in a burst of joy, " We have the same exact schedule, down to the lunch period at the end of the day!" Pinkie Pie ran ahead a few meters, and was hopping around the small area in which she stood.
They finished their walk in relative peace. The only exception to the silence was when Pinkie was singing or dancing or just talking nonsense, which was not annoying as much as it was endearing.
They finally reached the school building, and the first thing Golden noticed was the sun's heat waves pounding on his face causing his makeup to run. He quickly ran ahead of Pinkie Pie who did attempt to keep with him, but was not capable of keeping up with the nimble runner. The grass crunched under his shoes, and the birds chirped their melodies, but this was all white noise to the frantic Golden Shadow who was sprinting to the building.
He busted through the swinging metal doors, and he noticed his makeup was already running and smeared. he quickly dashed to the nearest men's bathroom he could find, dropped his bag, and started fixing it.
"Dammit!" Exclaimed Golden as he took all of the paint off to be re-applied, "This is just great. This is just fucking fantastic. I hope no one comes in here while I do this." Thought Golden now applying the black lines around his eyes with a metal tube of the special makeup.
He had just finished applying the lines under his lips, around his eyes, and nearly finished applying the white around the rest of his face, when two boys walked in. Golden looked to their direction, and saw two completely unfamiliar faces.
One had long blonde hair, a small beard that only covered his chin that was of the same color. His face looked young, like that of a freshman. He was wearing blue jeans, a black shirt, and black shoes with a red trim. He was white like Rarity, but he skin had many red and white blemishes on it, as well as a few bruises.
The other one had a shaved head, and looked about the same age as the other one, but his face was barren of hair. He was wearing a black shirt similar to other one, except on it was an interesting design that caught Golden's eye. It was a clown. The clown's makeup resembled that of a juggalo's, but it had a small splotch of red on the forehead. golden quickly deducted that it was a bullet wound.
The two looked at him, and the one with the beard said, "What the fuck are you doing? Why are you putting makeup on?"
"I think he's a juggalo. Little fuckers aren't even human you may as well not try to waste your intellect on them."
Golden quickly grew a face of anger, but it subsided as he went back to applying his makeup.
"Hey little juggalo, why aren't you doing meth right now? I mean that's all you are, are a bunch of white trash sub human meth heads who just need to fucking die. You are a waste of fucking oxygen now why don't you go to your little Gathering and over dose on crack?" Said the bald one with a smirk on his face.
Golden finished applying his makeup, and quickly walked out of the restroom to see Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash just outside of the room. They were talking about something, but Golden could not hear a word of it.
Pinkie Pie noticed him, and said in her usually hyperactive fashion, "Hey Golden, where did you run off to? Oh, " She said just now noticing where he had come out of, "you must have just had to use the restroom. You should have told me silly! Me and Dashie were looking for you. Well, I was, but then I found Dashie, and we started talking, and I guess we got lucky where we stopped."
"Yeah," Said Rainbow Dash interrupting Pinkie from her inevitable hour long rant, "I was actually kind of wondering where you were. I mean you two did walk to school together didn't you?"
"Yeah we-" Said Golden, only to be interrupted by Pinkie Pie who opened her mouth to say, "Yeah! I went to his apartment, and it was a mess. There were clothes everywhere and some cigarettes laying around. We walked all the way from his apartment to here. We also found out we have the exact same schedule, but then he ran off when his makeup started running or something." She finished panting from another rant.
"Yeah what she said." Replied Golden with a light smile growing on his face.
"Why were you so worried about your makeup? You are a guy. I didn't expect you to actually care about something like that, or actually use makeup at all really." Said Rainbow Dash as if she was about to burst out into laughter at the ludicrousness of a heterosexual male wearing makeup.
"It's because I am a juggalo, and honestly it's fun to wear to the makeup. Although I do have one problem that many of you girls have except to a larger scale. When this runs it runs everywhere. It turns into a gray mess that I have to completely take off, and reapply, and when it gets into your eyes it's just hell." Replied Golden talking as if he was a master on the subject of cosmetics.
Rainbow stared at Golden unsure about how she should feel about the whole situation, and said "Uh, OK I have to get to class. See you guys later."
"Bye Dashie!" Exclaimed Pinkie Pie frantically waving off her friend. "That reminds me, we should probably get to class too! Come on Golden!" Continued Pinkie grabbing his arm, and frantically pulling him deep into the labyrinth of hallways and stairwells.
They had only been moving for a few moments when the chime of the morning bell rang throughout the school's hall, and everyone began moving at the same fast pace of Pinkie Pie and Golden Shadow.
After they had bumped into a few other students they made it to a thick mahogany door with two signs on it. One on top of the other. The upper sign read "Physics" and the other sign read " Empty Gravity". Pinkie rushed in with Golden walking at a normal speed right behind her.
Golden saw she had sat right in the front of the room, and she was motioning him to sit right next to her, to which he complied. As soon as he sat down he felt a soft thud on the back of his head. He looked directly behind him, and noticed a crumbled up piece of paper.
He opened up the paper, and it read "What are you doing at Class? Should you be cooking meth or something? Oh wait. You wouldn't be able to do that. That requires a brain."
"So original" Thought Golden as he shoved the piece of paper into his pocket.
"What was that?" Asked Pinkie Pie with a concerned look softly painted on her face.
"Oh nothing." Responded Golden forcing a warm smile.
Pinkie Pie opened her mouth, but was swiftly interrupted by a tall man walking into the room. He was about six foot tall and had a thick beard. He wore brown slacks and a tan buttoned shirt. He wore glistening black dress shoes. His face looked young enough, except for a few wrinkles cluttering his cheeks.
"Hello class." He said in a monotone voice while quickly jotting down some formulas on the chalk board behind him. He began talking through his lesson, when another piece of paper hit the back of Golden's head. He unfolded it, and it read "Hey man do me a solid and jump off the nearest cliff you waste of fucking oxygen."
"What the hell is this guy's problem?" Thought Golden whilst taking notes on the lesson that was being taught.
The hour went by quickly, and Golden was standing up when the bald freshman from earlier walked by and pushed Golden into his desk landing him face first into the hard metal.
"That's fucking it." Said golden under his breath whilst walking up the bald student. "Hey you!" Said Golden to the bald student that he still knew not the name of. "What the fuck is your problem with me!"
The bald student turned around and asked in a condescending manner "Wait, are you trying to talk to me? You realize I am a human and you are a dog right? Now why don't you go to the kennel to get euthanize." He finished in a confident matter.
Golden was staring at him with his hand balled up into a tight fist. Golden started slowly walking the five feet that seperated him and the student that had insulted him.
Golden then stood inches away from the student, when he raised his fist and punched him in the chest. Golden then quickly jumped onto the bald headed student and began shooting blow after blow to his face. He had landed about five blows to the mouth and nose before Pinkie was able to bust through the ring of students chanting "Fight", and attempted pulling Golden off the now bleeding and bruised student. She used all of her strength, but was able to drag Golden off of him, and a few of the other student's friends began dragging him away to the nearest restroom to clean him up.
"What is wrong with you!" Exclaimed Pinkie Pie looking at the crazed Golden slowly start to calm down, "You can't just jump on someone for calling you names! You could have killed him, or seriously injured him. Now that I am thinking about it you probably did."
Golden was about to open his mouth when he heard a much older voice exclaim "Where is he!"
Moments later a tall woman with long flowing hair revealed herself to Golden, and she had an intense scowl imprinted onto her bright white flesh. Her hair was colored in layers with a light blue, a soft pink, a somewhat dark purple, and cyan. She wore a tan buttoned blouse, and purple slacks. She swiftly ripped Golden from his position with great force, and began leading him down the labyrinth of hallways he still knew like a novel yet to be written.
They quickly entered an office with the name "Celestia" printed on the front of the wooden door. She sat him down in a small wooden chair that barely fit his large frame, and was covered in small splinters. It smelled of strong perfume in the room, and it made Golden cringe as he sat in the chair. There was one picture on her desk, and it was a portrait of her wearing a blue dress, and an emerald broach.
"What were you thinking when you jumped that boy?" She swiftly asked him right as he sat down.
"I don't know." Replied Golden looking at her with an emotionless face, "I guess I wasn't."
"Well this kind of behavior can't be tolerated here, and you are going to be in an in school suspension for the rest of today, and for the next week."
"Okay" Replied Golden, "Where is it?"
Celestia pointed to just across the hall where there was an assortment of desks, and another older woman.
Golden walked in, sat down, and began examining the room where he was going to spending his days in for some time. The woman at the desk was wearing a white blouse, and dark blue slacks. Her hair was long and straight like Celestia's, but it didn't cascade with many colors like hers, and it was a dark blue color. On her desk there was a nameplate that read "Luna", and a stack of papers she was filling out. He also noticed a familiar face, Rainbow Dash.
He waved at her, and she waved back, but before they could talk Luna smashed a textbook on the desk and said "Faces forward and mouths shut!"
A few hours later Luna left the room, and Rainbow Dash walked over to Golden whom was taking a break from the boredom via a nap.
"Hey, wake up she's gone." Said Rainbow Dash whilst nudging him trying to awaken him from his light slumber.
He quickly awoke, and looked up to her face, to see hardly contained laughter.
"What?" Asked Golden looking up to her in a drowsy manner.
"Well two things actually. One, your makeup is smeared, and you really look like a clown now, and two, how did you end up here? Let me guess you beat the snot out of some bully who was messing with a freshman or something."
"Close." Replied Golden using a rag he had on hand to clean off the makeup, and wincing a few times whilst doing so, "Some freshman was being an ass to me, and I kinda lost my cool and beat the ever living shit out of him." Finished Golden as he finished wiping the smeared makeup off his face.
"Wow, that is not what I expected" Replied Rainbow Dash looking surprised at Golden for what he had said he had done.
"Yeah, I lost my cool, and this is what it lead me to. Oh well, it ain't the worst thing to have ever happened to me. So, why are you here?" Asked Golden, now much more awake than he had been.
"Oh. Uh, I may have kicked some guy in the crotch for coming onto me and not taking no for an answer, well it's a long story, but that's not important. What happened to your face?" She said whilst lightly touching his face which was covered in bruises.
"Ow! Don't touch them!" He said pushing her hand off his bruised face. "You remember yesterday when I beat the shit out of that ass that smashed Twilight's face into her tray?
"Yeah." Replied Rainbow Dash, "What about it?"
"Well when my dad is already a drunk, and somewhat of a drug addict. When I say drugs I don't mean dub, I am talking cocaine, and heroine. He drinks, and well, just is a very angry person. So a combination of my mom giving him lip, and him hearing about me beating the shit out of that guy, lead him to beating the shit out of me. There are more scars and bruises other than the ones on my face, these are just the most recent. He went to the strip club later that night, and didn't come back, which was the only reason I was able to sleep in my damn house that night. Oh shit!" Exclaimed Golden softly as to not draw attention to the classroom, "When he finds out about this he'll fucking kill me!" Golden was somewhat freaking out at this point, but still keeping quiet.
"Your dad did this to you?" Rainbow Dash asked shocked that someone could abuse their own son like this.
"Yeah." Replied Golden, "He doesn't only do this when I fuck up like this. He does it for no good reason. He doesn't beat women, so whenever my mom or any woman gives him any lip, or a compliment, or anything that comes off to him as aggressive he comes and beats me. You know how you asked why I wear the clown makeup? Well this is why. I wear it to hide the scars from everyone. Whatever it's not like it matters."
"Yeah, I don't think I can let you go back to your house tonight. If your dad really does all that stuff to you, well then he should be arrested plain and simple."
"First of all, if he got arrested, and if that bastard got thrown in prison he would get his ass killed in a day, and two if you aren't going to let me go home where would I sleep? The damn dumpster behind my complex?" Said Golden now laughing a little at the notion of sleeping in a dumpster when he had a warm bed.
"No, you aren't sleeping in a dumpster" Replied Rainbow Dash whom was also laughing at that notion, "You can stay in a guest room at my house. Considering the circumstances I don't think my parents will care all that much.
"Alright Dash, wait can I call you Dash?" Asked Golden.
"Yeah that's fine" She said with a smile.
"Alright Dash I'll take you up on your offer. I do have plans Saturday though, which is tomorrow, shit!" Exclaimed Golden again this time slightly louder, "I have to meet a few buddies tomorrow for this carnival thing. Hey, why don't you guys all come? It'll be fun.
"Okay" Replied Rainbow Dash, "I'm game, but I'll need to talk to everyone else about it if they are going too. I'm pretty sure Pinkie would be down."
"Sweet, well I guess I have a new roof to sleep under tonight," Said Golden beaming at the thought of not having to be in that run down apartment.
That moment the end bell rang, and the two rushed out of that room, and on their way to Rainbow Dash's house, which would hopefully be a place of sanctuary for Golden Shadow.

The Dash Household
"So where exactly do you live?" Asked Golden Shadow as he and Rainbow Dash walked deeper and deeper into the more rich parts of Canterlot.
"Actually, this is where I live." Said Rainbow Dash walking towards a small home, that stood only one story high. It was made from red bricks, and the porch from light brown wood. Two windows came out of the brick work, one on the east end of the house, one on the west. The house also sat halfway up a steep hill, which was paved with flowers, and short green, crisp grass.
"Oh, okay." Said Golden Shadow shrugging, and walking up the driveway, and to the porch where Rainbow Dash was standing.
"My parents aren't going to be home this weekend, so for now it will be just us...and my other friends are as well, I hope that's okay, because that's what's happening." Said Rainbow Dash, ushering in Golden Shadow before locking the door behind them both.
"That's fine." Said Golden Shadow, walking deeper and deeper into the home, "So...where will I be sleeping tonight?"
Rainbow Dash walked over to a door, and opened it revealing a small bedroom, "This is where you will be sleeping, but you are more than welcome to hang out with all of us before we all go..well sleep. Just do one favor..."
"What?" Interrupted Golden Shadow, whilst examining his sleeping quarters.
"Take the makeup off. I think it freaks out Flutters for some reason. Also, it's kinda silly." Said Rainbow Dash with a light smirk imprinted on her face.
"Fine, I'll take it off, and leave it off around you guys, but if we go out in public, I'm putting it back on. I don't want to have to deal with walking around with all the scars and bruises on my face, and the questions people will ask."
"That's a start...I guess." Said Rainbow Dash motioning him to a restroom where he quickly removed the clown makeup, and then to the basement.
"Well we can just hang out down here, while we wait for everyone else to show their faces. In the meantime..." Said Rainbow Dash with a smirk.

Thirty minutes later.

"Rainbow Dash, we're here!" Yelled Pinkie Pie from upstairs.
"Uh, are they going to blow this way out of proportion?" Said Golden Shadow shirtless, and covered in whipped cream.
"Most likely." Said Rainbow Dash, wearing a tank top, and short shorts, and also covered in whipped cream.
"What...the...fuck." Said Twilight Sparkle as she casted her vision upon the scene. "What have you two been doing?" She said again in shock, whilst her jaw dropped.
"Not what you..." Said Golden Shadow looking up at a shocked Twilight Sparkle, and a furious Applejack.
"You don't get to talk, you...you...ugh, I can't even think of a word. Just shut up!" Interrupted Applejack, whom looked as if she was about to explode with rage.
"it's actually not what you think. Just let Golden explain himself." Said Rainbow Dash, blushing a little.
"Fine." Said Applejack under her breath, tapping her foot waiting for an explanation, "Well, you better start explaining before I come there and tan your hide."
"Alright. She invited me in, and we went down stairs..." Said Golden as a he explains, and goes into a flashback.

"So...Golden, didn't you say you fought?" Asked Rainbow Dash as they sat down on a red velvet leather couch.
"No...but I do. I've been in a few kick boxing competitions, but's about it. I can hold my own." Replied Golden, looking at Rainbow Dash, and rubbing one of his older scars.
"Hmm. Would you be able to teach me anything, just in case some guy tries to come onto me again, and doesn't take no for an answer, or...well something." Said Rainbow Dash standing up. "I don't want to be known as the girl who just kicks her problems in the balls...it's the easy way, but..."
"Not the fun way, or the most painful way, or the most crippling way, if you know how." Said Golden Shadow with a smirk on his face, and standing up. "Yeah, I could teach you a few things you might not know."
"Sweet, what first." Said Rainbow Dash excitedly.
"I think we should just do a slow fight, step by step, I'll teach you how to disable anyone...easily."
"Throw a punch at me." Said Golden Shadow, as he put his arms up.
Rainbow Dash through a wide jab at him, and he easily blocked and grabbed her arm, and stepped around behind her. She pinned her arm behind her back with the hand facing up. He also gently propped his foot on the crease behind her knee.
"A yank up, and a push down. You would have your right arm yanked out of its socket, and all the muscle connecting your knee to the rest of your body severed. Permanent, crippling damage that would send most human beings into shock. Never do this, unless someone plans on killing you." Said Golden Shadow, releasing her from the grip.
"Okay, if I'm not supposed to use that, what can I use." Said Rainbow Dash her arms crossed.
"First of all, I don't think you do to begin with, but don't pick fights. Now, a good thing to do is a throat punch right to the Adam's apple. It will hurt...a lot. The temples are fair game, and pretty easy to hit. Now, the best thing to do when in a fight, is let him, or her, strike first, block, and then strike. Examine how he fights, and adapt. That's how I fight."
"Alright, well what else do you have for me?" Asked Rainbow Dash, her arms still crossed.
Golden Shadow lunged at her, striking her with a light jab to the stomach, before dropping low to throw a sweeping kick to her legs, barely knocking her over.
"I have that. A good disable, and they are on the ground, to do whatever with." Said Golden Shadow, helping her up.
"Okay, thanks, now I have some stuff to practice." Said Rainbow Dash as she quickly landed a jab to his stomach, and tried to do a sweep kick, but he moved just a bit faster, and jumped out of range. Golden Shadow walked up to her, and threw a hook to the ribs, which connected, and then he dropped under her, places his shoulder on her crotch, and flipping her behind him be throwing her in that manner.
"Try that on someone who doesn't know how to defend against all that." Said Golden Shadow, laughing, and once again helping her up, before they both retired to the couch.
Rainbow Dash was holding her ribs, wincing a little.
"Let me see it." Said Golden Shadow looking at Rainbow Dash's rib cage.
"What!" Exclaimed Rainbow Dash, "I'm not showing you my...oh wait. I know what you mean." Said Rainbow Dash, now more calm, and lifting up the small amount of shirt that would show her ribs. "What does it look like?"
"It looks like I punched you really hard. You're fine, just a bruise. It'll hurt for a while, but it will be fine soon enough. Said Golden Shadow, backing off to his side of the couch.
"I'm going to put something on that's a bit more comfortable." Said Rainbow Dash, yawing, and standing up, and heading for her room in the basement.
She came out a few moments later dressed in short blue shorts, and a white tank top.
"Hey, Rainbow Dash, is that whipped cream?" Said Golden looking at two spray cans of whipped cream. "You know you want to. I know I want to. Let's do this."
They both ran for the cans of whipped cream, and began spraying it into their own mouths. Golden Shadow accidentally got a little on Rainbow Dash, so she sprayed some on him. He retaliated the same way, until they were both covered in it.
"Wait, why did you punch Dashie in the ribs again?" Asked Pinkie as she finished off the rest of the whipped cream.
"I don't know." Said Golden Shadow, directing his attention to Pinkie Pie, and finishing putting on his shirt, which hides another small scar. "I guess we were sparring for a few moments, and I did what I normally do when I spar with anyone."
"You know dear, this is the first time I have ever gotten a good look at your face." Said Rarity examining Golden Shadow's face, and facial features closely. He had a bruised face, with some scars littering his cheeks, and forehead. Short brown hair came down from his hat. He had a young face, a mouth that stretched from half an inch past his nose both ways. Eyes the size of any man his age, but one thing that made Rarity cringe was a certain scar near his temple, it read something, but it was twisted and morphed.
"Golden, what does that marking near your temple say?" Said Rarity pointing towards the scar, nervously.
"That, that is well...that one actually...well. Let's just say a gang of assholes got pissed at me, and decided it would be fun to scribble "shoot here" on my temple. It doesn't hurt, and well...a combination of burns and other blows to the head have twisted it, you can barely read it anymore, well why would you ask if you could read it...I'm rambling aren't I?" Said Golden, slouching back into the couch.
"Yes dear, but it's fine." Said Rarity, "Want to explain the other scars and bruises?" Said Rarity, whilst trying to sound sympathetic.
"Not really much to tell. Just a combination of me getting in fights, sparring with friends, kick boxing matches, and my dad being a drunk ass." Said Golden Shadow lifting up some of his hair to reveal more bruises and burns.
"Wait, you father did some of this to you? That's deplorable!" Exclaimed Rarity.
"Yeah, let's not focus on that though, let's try to have fun, doing...what were we planning on doing again?"
"I don't know." Said all of them, except for Rainbow Dash in unison.
"I was planning on...well I don't know. I thought we could all just hang out." Said Rainbow Dash shrugging.
"We could always go on a trip." Said Golden Shadow, yawning, and procuring a paper cigarette and some green and red herbs in a zip lock bag.
"What do you mean by a trip?" Asked Twilight skeptically.
"We smoke this, and your mind will send you to a dream of euphoria. It'll be fun. I grew it myself, perfectly healthy, and safe.
Golden Shadow loaded the paper cigarette, and lit it. "So who's gonna smoke some dub?" He asked.
Twilight was the first to grab it, and take a large inhale. Applejack followed cautiously, and then Rarity. Fluttershy took a small puff, and then Pinkie Pie took the largest huff. Rainbow Dash also skeptically took a puff, and then finally Golden Shadow.
"Alright guys, let's go on a trip." Said Golden Shadow laying back on the couch, and the rest relaxed. "This is going to be fun."
