Dear daughter,
Today i'm leaving. I can't live like this anymore, I have to fly, I have to live. I'm sorry Baby, I really am. I just have to go. By the time you read this, I'll be gone, so don't go looking for me, Because I know you will. Don't worry about me though, I'll be fine. Who knows? Maybe you'll see me again one day?
Oh and take care of your dad for me.
Love,
Firefly
That was the letter she left me when she left us.
Rainbow Dash lay in her bed. Her tired eyes examining each and every word of the letter. she had read it over a thousand times, but She still couldn't stop reading those words. Those fateful words. That letter was the last contact she had with her mother since she left Dash and her Dad, and flew out into the world. Dash folded the letter along the finely pronounced folds, and placed it in the drawer she kept all her sentimental garbage in, she hid any evidence of her sensitivity in that drawer to make her look tougher. It never made her look any tougher, though, it just gave her a sense of security.Something she truly needed. She pulled the blankets over herself, turned the lamp off, and slept. Tomorrow she would visit her father.
Rainbow Dash knocked on the door. She could hear someone blundering about inside. That's Dad She thought.
"Ow! I'm coming! Gah!" Rainbow Dash's father yelled from inside the house. The door swung open, and Rainbow received a big hug from her Dad.
"Oh Rainbow! How are you?" He asked with a warm smile.
"You know me,i'm just fine Dad!" She replied.
"Come in, come in!" He ushered her into the sky home. Dash picked a particularly cloudy bit of couch, and sat herself down. The white house had recently been painted a cool sky blue, which gave the house a bit of personality from the rest, which all looked basically the same. Pictures of their family were placed on the mantle, one in particular caught her eye.
That was taken only a few days before she left. They all looked so happy in that picture. So very happy.
"Hey, sqirt, do ya want any tea?" He shouted from the kitchen.
"Um, no...dad." She mumbled back. Dash shifted in her seat and looked away from the picture.
Dash's father walked into the living room carrying a tray with two mugs of hot, steaming tea, and places them down on the coffee table.
"Well....I made you some anyway, just in case you decided to change your mind." He beamed at his daughter.
Rainbow Dash looked distant, as though something was on her mind. She gazed out of the window.
