Ch.1 Strange New Places Strange New Faces
It was a particularly stormy day in Austin Texas. There was a bad storm rolling through, but this wouldn’t stop the Achievement Hunters from staying indoors and playing video games. Well they were going to anyway. Today Geoff decided to have the lads and gents play another rousing game of Monopoly. It was in high demand from the people! Ray himself had been having a particularly boring day. Nothing had really happened and Monopoly wasn’t going to help. But this wasn’t going to stop him from his usual upbeat attitude everyone loved. He was going to do it. FOR THE PEOPLE! Ray takes his chair and loads up the game. After doing so, he hears Geoff speak up.
“Alright, so we’re playing this piece of shit again. Ray, you're playing. Gavin and Michael, you
guys too. Just like before.” Geoff said in a very uninterested tone.
“Yeahyeahyeah!” Ray said with enthusiasm.
“You won’t be like that for long.” Geoff muttered.
“Alright, check your shit before we start.” Geoff said doing so himself.
The lads then checked their shit just as instructed.
“All good here.” Ray said.
“Fucking perfect.” Michael replied.
“Everything’s great lads and gent.” Gavin said in his English accent
“Okay, three, two, one.” Geoff counted off.
“Hey guys, it’s Geoff, Michael, Ray and Gavin here for an exciting sequel to Monopoly.” Geoff started.
Ray then took a big breath and closed his eyes for his contribution to the intro.
“LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET’S” Ray started
“PLAAAAAAY!” Ray finished.
Though when he opened his eyes he was not looking at his screen. He was outside to in fact. Ray swore under his breath and looked around. It all seemed oddly familiar, but he couldn’t place what.
“Alright, who spiked my water? Not alcohol, I don’t drink that shit.” Ray asked to no one in particular.
“What about Spike?” Ray heard from behind him.
Ray turned around. Which felt really weird for some reason. Like he was walking on all fours. When he saw who had spoken, he screamed and immediately fainted. It had been Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony, his favorite show.
When Ray opened his eyes he was in a room of some sort. He began to freak out again but calmed himself down. He took a big breath and looked around. It was a bedroom of sorts, though again it seemed familiar. Wait, he had saw Twilight before and this was her room! He
remembered. Now he knew someone had spiked his water or he had been blazing too hard. Ray laughed at his own joke. Ray decided to get up and look around. Might as well enjoy this weird hallucination. As he tried to stand up he fell forward.
“What the fuck?” Ray said looking at himself.
Ray had just now seen that he was also a pony; a light tan one. Ray screamed again, but in the manliest of ways… By this I mean like a little girl. After he had calmed down, he stood up on all fours this time. It felt weird, but also strangely natural. He also felt something on his head, though he wasn’t going to try and remove it without fingers. He looked around and saw a mirror. Ray trotted over to get a good look at himself. He was able to see what he looked like. He had a mane similar to his hair as a human. He was wearing a sombrero for some reason. He also was wearing some kind of poncho thing. It looked Mexican.
“Or Puerto Rican!” Ray said amused by himself.
He was actually surprised at how calm he was. He at that point remembered something unique he should have; a cutie mark! Ray turned sideways so he could see. It was just like his gamer picture for BrownMan, an Xbox controller with a crown. He nodded in approval. His special talent was video games, very fitting. He also saw his hooves looked kinda like Zecora's. At that moment he turned around to see Twilight standing there. In fact a little too close so that when he swung around and he accidently kissed her. It took a second for him to jump back.
“Ah no, girl germs!” Ray said in a joking tone.
Twilight on the other hand just blushed. Nopony knew, but that was actually her first kiss and nopony would ever know.
“Sorry.” She said in an embarrassed tone.
“Ah whatever, I’ll live from cooties.” Ray said jokingly.
“So, anyway, what’s your name?” Twilight asked.
“Me? I’m Ray Narvaez Jr. But everyone just calls me Ray.”
“Alright Ray, can I ask you a few things?” Twilight asked.
“Can I ask a few first?” Ray requested.
“Sure, what do you want to know?” Twilight asked.
“Well there’s a lot, so I’ll start easy. Why am I in your house?” Ray asked.
“I found you just outside Ponyville and then you fainted so I brought you here.” Twilight asked.
“You didn’t harvest my organs?” Ray said jokingly.
“What?” Twilight asked.
“Nothing, never mind. Thanks though.” Ray replied.
“No problem, may I ask my questions now?” Twilight asked.
“Sure, why not.” Ray replied sitting down
“Where are you from? I’ve never seen you before.” Twilight asked.
“Well you see, I’m from a little country I like to call Puerto Rico. The home of my people.” Ray
answered happy of his nationality.
Twilight mentally noted the use of my people. She deemed he must be a leader and should show
a lot more respect.
“Ah yes. So why are you here? Diplomatic reasons?” Twilight asked.
“No, in fact I have no clue why I’m here. One moment I was playing Monopoly. The next, bam! I’m here.” Ray answered.
“Monopoly? You mean Monopony?” Twilight asked.
Ray then fell over laughing at the pun. He rated it a 10/10, would tell again.
This is going to be fun, Twilight mentally noted. Ray sat back up.
“Sorry, anything else Princess Sparkle?” Ray asked with sarcasm.
“You know about me? Most diplomats don’t yet.” Twilight said.
“Well I’m not a diplomat. I play video games for a living.” Ray answered.
“Oh.” Twilight responded.
Scratch that earlier thought Twilight thought.
“I haven't seen a business that does that. Who do you work for?” Twilight asked.
“Well, I work at Roosterteeth. I’m a part of Achievement Hunters and my boss is Geoff Ramsey.” Ray answered proudly.

Twilight questioned Ray for about another hour before Ray’s stomach interrupted. Ray’s stomach was asking for food very loudly.
“Heh, sorry. I haven't eaten in…… a while.” Ray said.
“Oh, how insensitive of me. Would you like something to eat, Ray?” Twilight asked with a twinge of regret for not previously asking.
“Yeah that, would be awesome!” Ray answered.
“Follow me, I’ll have Spike make us all lunch.” Twilight said taking the lead.
“Is he gonna wear that pink apron again?” Ray said giggling like a schoolgirl.
“Probab….. how did you know he wears a pink apron?” Twilight asked with suspicion.
Ray had to think fast. He was pretty sure she would not believe the real reason. Um, let’s see….
“Uh…. Rumours that the savior of the Crystal Empire wears a pink apron.” Ray said quickly.
“Oh, I’ll have to see that those are stopped.” Twilight said in a slight tone of anger.
Ray mentally sighed. Good thing he was as smart as he was funny. They were soon downstairs and Twilight called for Spike.
“SPIIIIIIIIKE?!” Twilight called.
Spike immediately ran into the room they were in. He had not seen Ray yet so he was perplexed.
“Hey Twi, who’s the stallion? Did you finally get a coltfriend?” Spike asked.
Twilight cheeks lit up like a Hearth’s Warming tree. Ray on the other hand was laughing his flank off. Twilight turned and gave Ray the death stare. However Ray had one last thing to say.
“Well, she did kiss me in her bedroom.” Ray said barely holding in laughter.
Twilight lit up even more. Ray didn’t know that anyone could blush that much. Ray then
continued to laugh.
“Alright alright. I’m joking we're not dating.” Ray said.
“Thank you, Ray.” Twilight said with a tone of malice.
“Spike, could you make us lunch?” Twilight asked.
“Sure, what do you two want?” Spike asked.
“I’ll have a hay sandwich. Ray?” Twilight asked.
“Do you have any Carl’s Jr.?” Ray asked hopefully.
“What?” Spike replied.
“Fine, what she’s having.” Ray replied, miffed.
“Alright, be right back.” Spike replied.
Twilight then led Ray to the table so they could sit. Ray was still adjusting a bit to the new pony body. He managed to make it work however. On the outside he looked calm and collected, though inside he was freaking out.
“Here you go.” Spike said giving them their food.
“Thanks Spike.” They said in union.
“All together now.” Ray said jokingly.
They all shared a good laugh. Spike then said his goodbyes and went to Rarity’s. Twilight was
about to eat when she remembered something.
“Oh hey, I’ll be right back.” Twilight said setting down her sandwich.
“Kay.” Ray said while engulfing his.
Ray had finished long before Twilight came back. But he was still hungry. Ray looked at Twilight’s sandwich. Her beautiful, delicious sandwich. Ray reached for the sandwich and began to eat. He was finishing the last bite when Twilight came back.
“Okay, I’m back and boy, am I…” Twilight started.
Then she saw the lack of sandwich. Her face twisted into a scowl.
“Ray, you stole my sandwich!” Twilight yelled.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Ray said, much like he had when he had stolen Geoff’s iron.
“You are so immature.” Twilight said, making herself another.
“Love you too.” Ray said in a sarcastic tone.
After Twilight had finished her sandwich, Ray asked her a question.
“So, what did you need to do anyway?” Ray asked, tilting his head.
“I was getting the stuff I found you with.” Twilight responded, floating over the items in a bag.
Ray looked inside. There was a fake mustache, a second poncho identical to the one he was wearing and the Puerto Rican flag.
“Oh yeah.” Ray said taking out the flag.
“What is that?” Twilight asked.
“This is the flag of my people!” Ray said unfolding the flag.
Twilight looked at it and shrugged. Ray then packed it back and set the bag down.
“So, what now?” Ray asked.
“Well, I suppose we should go see Princess Celestia.” Twilight suggested.
“Oh oh oh.” Ray said holding up his hoof like he was in class.
Twilight sighed.
“Yes?” Twilight asked in a tone of annoyance.
“Can I meet the other element holders?” Ray pleaded.
“I guess, come on let’s go.” Twilight said.
“Yolo.” Ray said following.
They decided the first stop would be Rarity. Even though never really liked her, he still wanted to meet her. He was very excited to later meet Applejack. He really wanted to meet the best pony. They soon arrived and Twilight knocked. Rarity came to answer the door.
“Oh hello, Twilight, and who do we have here?” Rarity asked.
“I am Ray, Miss Rarity.” Ray said deciding to schmooze her.
“What a gentlecolt you are.” Rarity said.
“Not really.” Twilight said under her breath.
“Well come on in darlings.” Rarity said escorting the duo in.
They walked in the shop. To Ray, it seemed much bigger in person or er… pony.
“Nice house. Missing a Puerto Rican flag, some Xboxs and televisions, but otherwise it’s good.”
Ray said waltzing on in.
Rarity looked at Twilight but she just shrugged. Ray continued to look around when Rarity asked
Ray about his clothes.
“Ray was it? I must ask about your clothes. They are unique, but I quite like them.” Rarity said walking up to him.
“Oh this? It’s a… poncho I think.” Ray answered.
“Yes, what about the colors? Does this style have a name? I must use it in a new line of outfits.”
Rarity asked.
Ray gained a smile.
“Yes, the style is called Puerto Rican.” Ray said with a devious smirk.
“Brilliant, I hate to ask you to leave but I must start immediately.” Rarity said motioning for the door.
“Of course Rarity, we’ll get out of your hair.” Twilight said nudging Ray along.
“See ya! Ariba!” Ray said running out.
After they were out, Twilight turned to Ray.
“Where do you want to go next?” Twilight asked.
“How about Applejack’s?” Ray said with hope.
“I don’t see why not, let’s go.” Twilight said
“Yeahyeahyeah!” Ray said bouncing along.
