“Ilusions [Gore]”
[Spike's Point of View]
Finding Arya and Fayfel wasn't easy. Getting from the celestial city to the ground below was even more difficult. Creating portals from the celestial city to somewhere in Equestria took time. As soon as Silvreus, Maximillius, Arya, Fayfel and I passed through a dark portal, we ended up inside a cave that was located near Appleloosa.
The little village was off to the distance but the border of the so-called “Badlands” was close to us.
“Come on, we must cross the Equestrian border to reach Draconia,” Silvreus said.
As we walked towards the Equestrian border, the ground started to become less fertile. Less weeds were seen and more barren ground was visible. We reached the border of Draconia and Equestria in thirty minutes or so. The two drakes and two dragonesses walked on past me but I stayed where I remained.
“Aren't you coming, Spike?” Max asked.
I looked back to Equestria and saw Canterlot as a minute dot in the distance. I was leaving Equestria, my home.
“You're not leaving Equestria, right?” Max asked.
“It's hard…” I said. “It hurts to know that you're leaving your friends and family behind.”
I felt Silvre's paw touch my shoulder. “I know how you feel. You are not the only one,” Silvre reassured me.
I nodded. I thought for a few moments and finally came to a decision.
“Come on. Let's find the other Draconic Elements!” I exclaimed.
“Then let's go find them!” Max said with a small smile.
[Razre's Point of View]
I felt tired and hurt. I had many cuts and bruises on my scales. I didn't know where I was. I tried to stand up but I couldn't. I then tried to move my arms and soon found out that I couldn't. I then groaned in frustration.
The room was lit by small torches on the dark walls. I lit my wings on fire and the room brightened more. I saw that the walls around me were a purplish, black in color, which meant that the walls were made of obsidian. I was trapped. There was no door, not even a crack on the walls. I was encased inside an obsidian cube prison.
The next thing I saw was that there was another dragon with me. What I DIDN'T like about the dragon was the fact that the dragon was a blue colored dragoness, which kind of made me uneasy since I was the only male drake in the obsidian prison. Sapphire was chained the same way I was.
I rested my head on the cool surface of the dark colored walls and tried to think on how I ended up right here. As I continued to focus, memories flooded my mind…
Flashback
I was awoken by Sapphire. I grumbled as I had to get up from the bed.
“Razre, where is Spike?” she whispered into my frill.
“I don't know,” I replied sleepily while sitting on the bed.
I looked at her. Noticing that there was a scar on the side of her. “I see that your wound has healed.”
Sapphire shrugged off my comment before asking, “Do you also know where Silvre is?”
“No,” I answered. “Is he gone as well?”
“Yes. Silvre and Spike are gone.”
Once Sapphire said that, I was awake.
“Did you check his room?”
“Yes.”
“How about the whole library?”
“I already did that.”
I groaned in frustration. Where were those two drakes?
“Come on, we need to find them.”
I then heard hooves click on the wooden floor. I turned around and saw an alicorn.
“What's going on?” she asked.
“Spike and Silvre are missing,” Sapphire said.
“What? Where are they? Are they hurt? I hope not. We have to find them. What if they got kidnapped? What if - ” she was silenced by Sapphire putting her index claw on her maw.
“Remember that they are dragons. They are both creatures that are almost invincible,” she stated.
“They probably went hunting for meat,” I stated. “They are dragons after all.”
“Yes but Spike has never eaten meat before,” Twilight pointed out. “I don't think he'll start now.”
“Spike is a dragon that is maturing. He will need to eat meat sooner or later. Gems won't satisfy his hunger much longer.”
Before Twilight could say anything, the end of a blade was embedded into the wooden bark from the outside. Judging from the color of the metal, the blade was made out of obsidian.
“Don't move,” I whispered in a low, commanding tone.
Silence.
Another obsidian blade embedded itself on the walls of the library. I looked back to Sapphire and then the alicorn. “Twilight, hide. Sapphire and I will fight them off.” She nodded and silently walked to her room.
I signaled for Sapphire to follow me and we stood close to the door of the library. “On three,” I commanded in a whisper.
“One…”
Shuffling was heard outside.
“Two…”
Something that was metal clanged against an object.
“Three!”
We burst through the door, yelling as we charged. Once we were outside… we didn't see a dragon. The town was empty.
“The hell? What's happening?” I was confused by this.
“There's no dragon here, Razre,” Sapphire bluntly stated.
“Yes there is,” a female voice reverberated through the town.
Sapphire and I looked around. There was no dragon or pony out in the streets of Ponyville.
“You seem confused…” the female voice spoke again.
“Who are you?” Sapphire growled. “Why are you hiding?”
“Do you not see IT?”
“See what?”
The voice chuckled lightly. “My dear dragoness, it seems that you do not search hard enough. Here, let me show you,” as soon as the voice concluded its sentence, my vision then became a distortion.
“You have been fooled, Elements,” the voice said as my vision started to focus. Sapphire and I now saw thirteen dragons that surrounded us completely. We were chained on our paws and feet by obsidian shackles. Seven dragons were male and six were female. Then, after registering the scene in my mind, a thought hits me full force. We were seeing an illusion. We failed to recognize what we were seeing.
A dragoness, that had dark red scales with black spikes, stepped forward to Sapphire and me.
“So, how'd your illusion test go?” she asked nonchalantly.
I growled in response.
“Don't be mad,” she patted me on the head. “You'll be alright… if you surrender and swear loyalty to Lord Ephixüs that is,” she grinned deviously.
“I won't surrender. I won't swear loyalty to your so called Lord and I don't give a FUCK!” I shouted at her.
“Hey, watch it,” a dragon that was taller than the rest, spoke up.
“And who do you think you are to order me to respect your bitches and fuckheads?” I asked in a low, menacing tone.
All the dragons laughed while Sapphire and I glared at them. “I am General Zodd, the best commander that serves Lord Ephixüs,” he strode over to Sapphire and me. “It seems that you clearly do not know what ‘respect’ means, right?”
Sapphire spat at him with green acid which didn't do anything to him other than piss him off.
“You,” he grabbed Sapphire's throat while lightly letting his free claw fall from Sapphire's lips to her belly. “I'll make sure to give you a great lesson that you'll never forget,” he spoke in a low tone and then rubbed her right thigh tenderly, causing the aquatic dragoness to shudder at the thought of what Zodd had for her.
“As for you Fire Drake,” he turned to me with hate. “I will make sure your death is a slow and painful one,” he slowly embedded his claws into my scales, making me hiss in pain as the blood slowly trickled down to the floor.
The very dark azure dragon with dark green spikes made everything around us distort and come into focus outside a prison for dragons. We stood in front of Zodd, now chained on our paws and feet on a wall.
I struggled to break free but the chains proved to be strong. I blasted fire on them and nothing happened. Zodd watched with amusement at my attempts. His paw glowed a dark shade of cobalt and everything became very slow. I felt as if I were trying to move through thick mud. I tried to move my paw to the chain but it would simply go too slow.
“Don't try,” Zodd grinned deviously. His aura faded and everything became normal. My paw hit my snout, causing me to scrunch my nose.
I glanced over to Sapphire and she didn't seem to have any success either. Zodd strolled to Sapphire, making her stop on what she was doing. She looked at him.
“Aren't you needed somewhere else, other than watching over us?” Sapphire asked nonchalantly.
Zodd took a step closer to her. “Maybe. Why are you concerned?” he mocked the water dragoness.
“Because I think being somewhere else other than trying to piss us off is a better way to waste your time.”
The general used his tail to slap her on the face, blood spilled from the aquatic dragoness’ snout. “Then shall be it,” he snarled. He once again lighted his paw with magic. The aura changed from a dark cobalt to a sickly black aura while his eyes changed from brown to red with purple smoke emitting from the corners of his eyes.
Suddenly, Sapphire and I felt weaker, my eyes widening as I realized what type of magic it was.
“It seems you know what kind of magic I'm using,” Zodd noticed.
“Yeah,” I responded in a raspy voice. “It's… dark magic.”
The spell was making Sapphire and me lose more energy and oxygen. Suddenly, a red blotch appeared on my right leg. Both of our mouths started to leak out blood, resulting in us to collapse.
“That's good enough,” Zodd said. “I'll leave you like that to, hopefully, die. That way, the Draconic Elements won't be complete.”
He then vanished as dark purple smoke consumed him. Once the thick smoke thinned out and became less opaque, the General was gone.
Sapphire and I were on the verge of death. As the time went on, Sapphire stopped moving and fell limp on the obsidian floor. I gathered as much energy as I could and did the only thing I could do…
Send a message to Spike.
I thought of the words in my head and then thought of Spike. I then let out a puff of red smoke and the message was delivered. After I released my last bit of energy, more blood trickled down my maw. My vision started to become more blurry and dark as I went unconscious.
Author's Note
Story changed from Teen to Mature.
Now, something I messed up on big time was that on the last chapter, I mentioned that Arya and Fayfel were captured with Razre and Sapphire. That was not true. Arya and Fayfel were somewhere in the celestial city and accompanied Spike and Silvreus. Sorry, for the mess up.
The story is coming to an end! Keep an eye out in my chapter's "Author's Notes" section for more information in the upcoming chapters.
