The Killer

Previous Chapter

Hollow hoofsteps echoed through the hallways of Canterlot Castle. Guards roamed the dark passages of night in pairs, on the lookout for suspicious behavior. A lone pony made their way up a long, spiral staircase to a single door at the top.

“Halt, who goes there?” a door guard questioned.

“It is I, Luna. I wish to speak with my sister.” The silhouette ushered in her unmistakable voice.

The two guards stepped aside, allowing the Princess to enter. The doors closed and Celestia sat up. A flash from a spell illuminated the room momentarily, and the two ponies vanished.

“Sister,” Celestia called out, an echo reverberating in the open space the two found themselves in, “What is the meaning of this? Where are we?”

“Why, we are in the space that your precious Wonderbolts stay in when they visit. As for why I brought you here,” a knife, hidden within the shadows, pierced Celestia’s heart, “is so that I may kill you without interference. And don’t worry, I already took care of your secret police. Now it shall be I who rules Equestria and have the glory of the subjects!”
