Chapter 1 :Applebloom
"Okay Twilight I’m awake, I’m awake!" Spike growled at Twilight as she snatched his blanket. He opened his weary eyes as they refused to stay open. It's too early Spike thought, as Twilight stood in front of him smiling and holding his blanket. There was only one day that she got up this early.
“You know what today is Spike!" She exclaimed with glee. Spike simply yawned. "That's right it's re-shelving day!”.regular pony would.
"Breakfast is waiting downstairs so when you're done eating, you can help me organize."
"Hey Spike.” She smiled “I made egg and daisy sandwiches." She said enthusiastically as she observed Spike slither slowly down the stairs.
"Hooray." he said sarcastically, earning a glare from Twilight.
Spike then walked over to the table and proceeded to eat his breakfast, watching as Twilight threw books onto the floor and picking up others to ‘re-shelve’ them. Twilight’s cooking wasn't exactly the best, but it didn't take long for Spike to finish it before he began to help with the re-shelving effort.
"So, what do you need me to do?" Spike asked.
"Um..." Twilight looked around. "Oh, why don't you help me alphabetize this pile, A's start here and M's go over there, and just sort the Z’s over there." Twilight said pointing at the shelves in the library.
"Ok." Spike complied, grabbing one of the books from the pile and beginning to organize them. It was not soon after he started to finish up a pile that there was a knock on the door, grabbing their attention.
"Coming!" Twilight said, placing the books down and trotting towards the door. As she opened the door she saw that it was none other than her friend Pinkie Pie.
"Hiyah Twilight!" Pinkie sang as she bounced into her library. "Do you know what today is?" Twilight put a hoof to her chin.
"Hmm...No Pinkie I don't, what is it?"
"Today is the day that you first came to ponyville, remember?!" Pinkie asked cheerfully.
"Oh." Twilight said lifting a book and trying to organize and hold a conversation with the pony.
"Yes siree and when I saw that today was our friendship anniversary I knew I just had to come here to invite you to the party!" Pinkie explained to her purple friend as she was now all over the walls hopping with glee. "So, Rarity and I wanted to make sure you come with me to help decorate and plan the party at sweet apple acres; it'll be a complete surprise, you should come it'll be fun!" Pinkie said now looking towards Twilight for approval.
“Wait a minute Pinkie.” Twilight asked putting a book down. “I don’t think it’d be much of a surprise party if I knew about it?”
Pinkie plopped on the floor on her hind legs, raising her arms in the air to correct the foolish pony. “Duh! That’s what everypony would think. This makes it extra surprising, so that even the people who would think it would be surprising got surprised!”
"I don't know Pinkie, I'll definitely go to your party but I’m not sure I can spend the whole day decorating." Twilight replied “It is re-shelving day." she added to the pink earth pony. Pinkie pie's eyes grew wide as she attempted to convince her to help redecorate.
"Oh, come on Twilight can't you just help me this once pleeeaase?" Pinkie asked, with a quivering lip.
"Pinkie, I need to re-shelve all of these books before sundown; I can't just leave them here." she remarked as she gave no sign of interest in Pinkie’s puppy dog face.
"I'll sort them." Spike interrupted as both mares looked at him, one in shock the other in merriment.
"Really Spike, you'd do that for me?" Twilight asked with an unconvinced tone.
"Yeah, I’ll sort them. Then after I’ll meet you at Applejack's before sundown no problem." he assured.
"Thank you Spike, that's very kind of you." Twilight said giving him an appreciative smile.
"Hey don't mention it." he replied, grinning as he began sorting books again.
"Woohoo, thanks Spike!" Pinkie said making her way out of the library.
"Yeah, thanks again Spike.” Twilight said grabbing her saddlebags. “You’re my number one assistant." She added before she left the library. The door clicked shut and Spike found himself biting off more than he could chew.
"I'm your only assistant." he sighed as he looked at the pile of books awaiting him.
It had been at least two whole hours of sorting and shelving that it really got to him. He had been sorting books at a modest pace before he suddenly cringed as a sudden pain surged through his claw.
"Ah, claw cramp!" He announced holding is claw in pain. Spike sat down and clenched his claw until the pain finally stopped. He decided that now would be the perfect time to take a water break and rest, and maybe take a look at one of the books Twilight had in her collection.
Of all the book's that Spike could pick he grabbed the one book that he wasn't supposed to see.
He saw a mare being...mounted from behind by a stallion that seemed to be placing his private region into the other mare’s personal area. Spike kept flipping through the pages to find more of these. He saw ponies being mounted on desks, ponies being mounted in beds, and even many of them wrestling in a hospital. Spike stopped his reading and turned his attention to read one of the articles.

It was indeed party time as Pinkie pie, Twilight, and Rarity where inside the barn finishing up the decorations.
"I think that should do." Twilight said, perfecting the arrangements of food lain out on the table.
"Yes, and not too drab I might say." Rarity said looking at her profound decorations.
"Alright everypony they'll be here any minute." She shouted as she gave a sudden twitch and hid behind the hay stacks. "Sssh I think that's them hide! hide! hide!" Pinkie pie commanded as Twilight, Rarity and several other ponies hid with their pink friend.
"Well what the hay is going on here?" Apple jack asked as she saw several other ponies were gathered outside her door.
"Hey you guys got an invitation too!" Rainbow Dash said as she looked at the others. Outside the barn door stood Fluttershy, Applebloom, Scootaloo, Sweetie belle, Big Macintosh, Rainbow dash, and Apple jack. Applejack then proceeded to open the door. "Well we better find out, I got work tomorrow and I don't-".
"SURPRISE!" all three ponies yelled as they startled all of the ponies. "Wait huh?" Rainbow dash delightfully stammered, a smile spreading across her cheeks.
"Were you surprised huh? Were ya! Were ya! Were ya!" Pinkie shouted towards the ponies as she ricocheted off the walls.
"Hey, what's all this for Pinkie pie?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Well today is the day that we first met Twilight and I just wanted to invite you all here for an anniversary party for her!" She bounced in joy as she saw all of her friends smile.
"Wow Pinkie, this is very thoughtful." Fluttershy said in well above a whisper.
"Well, what’s everypony waiting for? Let’s party!" Rainbow dash said as a certain white mare with violet sunglasses began playing music.
I'm late I'm late Spike panicked as he ran towards sweet apple acres. It was quite a night, the clouds were still and the moon shined gently against the homes of the citizen ponies. It was surprisingly a warm night but it still had that unmistakable damp night smell. As he arrived at the empty farm, he noticed faint music playing from the barn. Spike opened the front door to see that a party had already been in full swing. Seeing Twilight's signature dance moves, and Pinkie pie already done with most of the cupcakes and the cutie mark crusader's running around everywhere. He got the attention of everypony getting a Hello and a nod. He brought the attention of Pinkie pie as he entered the living room.
"Hey Spike, party's not over yet. Go ahead, grab a cupcake!" She said gleefully, as she continued to dance about.
"Nice Pinkie, you always throw the best parties!" he complimented as he chuckled at the wide grin from the pink pony.
Spike sat down and helped himself to a cupcake. Delicious as always. He finished the vanilla treat, as he sat down and couldn't help but to think of what he saw in the magazine earlier. It made him curious and for whatever reasons anxious. Spike looked around and saw that Big Macintosh was sipping fruit punch somewhat next to him. He figured that he would be the only pony to talk to about this sort of thing.
"Hey, Big Mac?" Spike asked as he leaned over.
"Eeyup?"
"Have you ever seen pictures of stallions doing weird things to mares?"
Big mac’s eyes grew wide as he chocked a little, putting down the glass of punch and looked at the dragon inquiringly. He did not like were this was going. He gave a glance around to see if anypony was looking. "Uh...what kind of pictures?" Big mac asked hesitantly.
"Well I can't really explain them, but the stallion was behind the mare and he put his-." Spike's sentence was interrupted by Big mac's hoof.
“Okay there little fella, I think I know what kinda pictures you saw." Big mac lowered his voice to make sure nopony heard him. “Look here, those pictures you saw are for adults only, you understand?"
“Okay" He complied, somewhat disappointed to his explanation. With that Big mac was done for the night. He said his goodbyes to everypony and was off to bed to rest from a hard day’s work.
The rest of the party though was indeed not over as everypony begun to play charades. He saw that everypony was having a good time except for one filly that happened to be sitting somewhat near him.

"So? What’s so special about that?"

"Really?" Applebloom was certainly interested.

"Okay, you can show me in my room, Applejack doesn't like me doing crazy things in the house." She agreed and trotted off with Spike into her room. “Oh yeah, last night we had the party at Apple jack’s and when it was over, Applejack found you and Applebloom sleeping in her bedroom so I carried you home.” Twilight explained as she heard the baby dragon sigh.
Whew that’s a relief Spike thought. Twilight looked at him inquiringly.
“Are you okay spike?” Twilight asked in question to Spikes unusual reaction.
“Huh... Oh nothing.” Spike said giving an unconvincing smile.
“Okay… if you say so”. She said shrugging, continuing to write into her doctrine.
"Oh! Before I forget, Spike could you run down to the basement and grab the book on alteration?" she asked abruptly.
“Yeah, sure Twilight.” he obliged and made his way towards the basement.
Spike opened the door to the basement and took the steps down to find the book he'd been looking for. He looked around the basement; this was after all where Twilight had her hardcore study sessions and made her various potions and elixirs. The basement itself was occupied by a desk with several papers and notes along with ingredients to some-sort of remedy. He turned his attention to the tall bookshelf and looked for the book on alteration. He gazed up high and saw that it was his lucky day.
Top shelf.
Uh... Spike groaned as he had to give effort this morning to climb this mountain of a bookshelf. He lazily climbed the bookshelf trying to use the shelves themselves as a ladder, as he climbed up as far as he could before the bookshelf began tilting down.
"Aah!" Spike yelled as the bookshelf slowly tipped over and came crashing down with a slam.
"SPIKE! Are you okay down there?" Twilight called from the living room.
"Yes everything is fine!" he replied as he scrambled his way off from underneath the bookshelf.

Oh great, now I have to clean this up. Spike sighed looking at the mess that he left. He began his efforts to rid the basement of his chaos, picking up book by book stacking them alphabetically until something stopped him.
Huh what’s this? Spike picked up a pink book that read Sex tips for stallions and mare, in bright yellow text.
Spike stopped himself to think of what and why did Twilight Sparkle; the town egghead had a book on how to please a stallion. Spike couldn't help but chuckle out loud as he opened the book. "Spike!?" Twilight proclaimed, drawing near.
Oh no! Spike dropped the book and turned his attention towards Twilight.
"Oh, hey Twilight!" He said with a fake smile.
"What happened?" Twilight asked looking at the destruction of her bookshelf.
"Oh uh...that was an accident.” Spike explained.
Twilight magically picked up the bookshelf and the books and with a sudden shine of white, the bookshelf was repaired along with the books all organized.
"If something is wrong Spike, just tell me next time." Twilight said firmly levitating the alteration book behind her as she ascended up the stairs.
"Sorry." Spike said dumbly as he followed Twilight upstairs.
"Ugh...Spike can you run downtown and fetch a bag of quills and parchment?" Twilight asked abruptly, turning to her assistant.
"No problem." Spike agreed, as he briefly opened the door and made his way downtown.

“Stop, stop, stop! What are you doing Sweetie belle?” the older unicorn shouted.
“Hey sis, I just wanted to help you by organizing your stuff for you!” Sweetie belle chirped to her sister. Rarity looked around the room horrified to what her sibling had done. She tried her hardest not to scold Sweetie so harshly. After all, her heart had been in the right place.
"Sweetie belle what are you doing here?" Rarity asked as she investigated the unfamiliar boutique.
"Mom and Dad are on vacation, so they sent me here to stay for the summer!" Sweetie belle beamed, eager for her long stay.
Oh no, not again! Rarity was ashamed that she thought so poorly of her younger sibling. She was rather disappointed the last time Sweetie belle tried to help around the shop. She shuddered to the thought of her boutique after the "CUTIE MARK CRUSADER DRESS MAKERS!" had trashed her workshop. Nonetheless there was still an anxious Sweetie belle waiting for her approval of this...organized boutique.
"Isn't it much nicer here now?" she broke her train of thought, smiling merrily at her. “I saw that your boutique was so messy, I acted like a good sister and cleaned it up for you!" Sweetie belle said, looking for her older sibling's validation.
“No, no, no, Sweetie belle it wasn't messy, it was… an organized mess.” Rarity explained as she searched through her drawers looking for her fabrics new location.
“Sorry sis, I just wanted to help out.” Sweetie said, hanging her head.
"I'm sorry Sweetie belle, it’s just that I have a big ensemble to work on for Sapphire Shores, and I’ve been awfully busy." Rarity shuffled her hooves." And I guess I’m just a bit worried."
"It's okay, I understand." Sweetie said once again trotting off.
"Wait." she stopped her sister who turned around “Well, I do suppose if you really want to help me..." Rarity put a hoof to her chin “You can go into town and pick up some new fabrics.” Rarity proposed kindly.
“Sure thing big sis!” Sweetie belle exclaimed as she ran out the boutique excitedly.
Oh Sweetie. Rarity thought to herself as she witnessed her sibling run out in joy.
I hope you never grow up.
It was a rather quiet day in ponyville and relaxing as well. Just another beautiful summer day! Spike thought admiring the equestrian sun, observing its rays of light illuminating everything around him in beautiful, bright glowing colors that seemed almost a perfect match with the gentle breeze that embraced his scales.
THUD
“Ow!” Spike heard as he unexpectedly fell to the floor. “Sorry I didn’t see you there.” He apologized, his gaze fixated at the ground.
“Oh it’s okay I didn’t see you either” he heard in a familiar voice. Spike looked up to see one of Applebloom’s friends, Sweetie belle.
“Oh hey Sweetie belle!” Spike greeted.
“Hi there Spike, where are you going?” she queried.
“I’m just doing a couple of errands for Twilight; I’ve got to pick up some quills and parchment for her, how about you?” he answered as he dusted his scales off.
“Oh well, I’m on my way to get some more fabrics for Rarity.” Sweetie belle responded “Do you mind if I tag along?”
“Not at all.” he answered as he began to walk towards the town plaza. They were headed towards the same store, so he figured he wouldn't mind the company.
Sweetie belle was quite the chatter box. She was yapping at him who was paying no attention but that didn't seem to bother her, as she skipped merrily in front of him singing and humming with glee. As the two walked with each other Spike began to feel that strange feeling again. He noticed Sweetie belle’s young curves and natural beauty. He subconsciously began to stare at her long curly mane and her attractive jade eyes. He found his eyes slowly examining her plush round flank and well-kept coat. They both made their way inside towards the store as they greeted the shop-owner. He went about picking up scrolls while Sweetie made her way to grab some fabrics. He grabbed his supplies and was turning an isle but without warning, noticed Sweetie belle. Fortunately for Spike the fabrics were on the bottom shelf of the isles and he had a clear view of Sweetie belle’s slender rump. The filly was too busy reaching towards the fabrics to notice Spike growing hot, as the unsuspecting mare was being scoped. He immediately redirected his vision as she got up, noticing Spike stare.
“Something wrong Spike?” Sweetie asked innocently as she caught his gaze.

Spike was about to say his goodbyes and return to Twilight but before he could say anything, Sweetie belle spoke.
"Spike, do you mind if you come with me to help Rarity today? She’s feeling sort ‘a tired lately and I'm sure she could use the help." she asked genuinely.
"I don't know...Twilight doesn't like me leaving without permission." Spike stated.
"Awe c’mon Spike, can't you go just this one time?" she asked again, this time with her eyes.
"Hmm...I guess I can make an exception, it is Rarity after all." Spike agreed as they began their way towards the boutique.
"Thanks Spike, I'm sure she'll appreciate the help!" she assured, eager to make her sister proud.
Spike smiled and they both walked to the workshop. Spike was never one for talking; in fact he was beginning to grow tired of their conversations and soon grew deaf of Sweetie. He was sure that she had asked him several questions before they arrived, but simply answered with "Uh huh." or "Yea.” Spike currently had his attention to the outdoors, appreciating the evening’s generous weather.
