Life as The Doctor
Ch1- Awaken
Load Full StoryA brown pony was floating in an unknown place. It was dark, cold and full of nothing. He did not know how he got there or when he did. He did not know what his name was, or who he was. He didn't know anything.
"Hello? Is anypony there?" He said, surprised at his british accent.
...
"I just want to know where I am, no harm," He mused when the void didn't speak.
... We are the Daleks. A robotic voice spoke, the pony jumped as the voice was blaring from every part in the void.
"The who?"
The Daleks, you are The Doctor, I presume? The voice said again.
"I-i'm sorry, I don't know anything."
You are The Doctor. You are the Predator. You are the only Time-Lord left. There was a silence before the pony spoke.
"I guess I am. But who exactly are you?"
We are the Daleks. We are your worst enemy. We are the ones who fought against the Time-Lords in the Time War. We are one of many of your enemies. We are born to hate. We wish to exterminate you.
"No-no-no!! Don't do that!" The pony yelled quickly, raising his hooves in instinct. "Why am I doing this?"
Just then, he woke up.
_______
The pony jumped out of his bed in a cold sweat. He was in a dark room full of beds with the ceiling glowing with a galaxy on it. Beside him was a rod that had a green, odd shaped tip on it. Next to it was a red fez and bow tie. Underneath the fez he could see a black badge. He picked it up, hoping that his name would be on the badge, but he realized something. The paper on the badge was blank. Why is there a blank badge next to me?
Just then, there was a little shock in the back of his mind. It burned a bit, causing the pony to raise a hoof to his head. But he remembered something. Oh this? Just a psychic paper. What's a psychic paper? A psychic paper lets you control what others see on it. So, why can't I see anything? That's because of this TARDIS... The burning stopped. The voices that he heard were of two ponies, a colt and mare, and one was teaching the other about something. The blank badge, maybe? He didn't know, but he was too tired to figure out.
He remembered the dream. That frightening dream. You are The Doctor. You are the Predator. You are the only Time-Lord left. The Daleks, the Daleks' voice had triggered another burning sensation. The Daleks, what they said was true. So, very true. I am The Doctor. The Daleks are my greatest enemy of many. And I have survived their terrifying whisker and plunger arms of horrible destruction. The burning sensation became stronger. Clara, has saved me from them, even though she was a Dalek. She was the impossible girl. No, she is the impossible girl. She has jumped into my timestream. She has saved my life countless times. She has seen the face of mine that didn't take the name of 'The Doctor'. She has truly seen everything. The sensation stopped.
"Gah!" He gasped as his mind cooled off. "What the hell was that?" He wondered. He kept the question in mind until he stumbled upon a large room with a tower in the middle with several levers. Another burning sensation began, this time, it was his most cherished moments in this room. He remembered, this is where he flew the TARDIS.
"Hey, Doctor! Can you help me find the kitchen?" A mare in the center of the room said. She was a tanish coated mare, with sleek, black hair. She was happy, enjoying her time here. But when she saw his face, her expression went from her usual happy, to concerned. "Doctor, is everything alright?" She trotted over to him.
"Yeah, fine." The Doctor said in a cheery voice. But the pony wasn't fooled. She could easily tell when her best friend was troubled. "Really, i'm fine."
"No, no you're not. You are not fine so tell me, what is wrong?" Her kind, pleading eyes stared deep into his soul, he knew he couldn't lie to her.
"Alright, i'll tell." The mare's face brightened a bit. "The thing is, I don't really remember much. I don't think I know you." He searched the mare's face for any sign of negative feelings, but only felt her kindness staring back. "Please, do you think you can help?"
"Of course I can, after all, I am the impossible girl. So, let's start from the beginning. You first found me in an old Dalek shipwreck on another planet. Your mission from the Daleks was clear: Set up a bomb on the ship to get rid of all the hospitalized Daleks on board. But while you did that, I found you, and I help guide you. You came to rescue me from the ship for no reason. But then-"
"I found you as a Dalek... I then told you I could not help you and that I was sorry. But you still helped me, even though I would have left you. You let me go, you forced me to go. You said 'Run, run you clever boy. And remember.' I then went back to a teleport beam up to the Dalek ships and I found out that they did not remember who I was. I figure out a moment later how, you had erased their memory of me. Every single thing that could link them to me. Later on, I found you calling for assistance on your WiFi network, you got trapped in a television, and I got you out while you screamed 'I don't know where I am! Help! Help me! I don't know where I am, I don't know where I am!' I then decided to stay and end the problem. While I tried to pinpoint the location of the main controls all night, you told me to get coffee for us. I came back after I saw how they can control everyone who connects. And I found you, in front of another me, trapped again. I got you out and saw that they were on the 67th floor of The Shard and I busted in and took them out. Now, we have had many journeys and good times. But, I don't remember much else..."
Clara stood in shock, Unable to speak. The Doctor grew a bit confused at this. "T-that's exactly what happened..."
