Hearth's Warming Eve with Doodle Bug and Hoop
Doodle and Hoop ducked behind building after building, trying to get to Sugar Cube Corner without running into the crazy mob of angry ponies. "Do you think we can make it?" Doodle asked quietly, looking at Hoop.
"Possibly..."
"Really?"
"Absolutely not."
"Oh..."
Doodle took a deep breath in, "But we have to! For the sake of Hearth's Warming Eve!" She grinned, "I'm going in." She was suddenly...In a black spy suit?
"Doodle...Where did you get that...?"
"I borrowed it from Pinkie Pie a few days ago, I saw something like this happening and wanted to be prepared!"
"You're a strange mare Doodle Bug..."
"And you're a coward Hoop!" She cackled quietly and then began to do something only a mare as strange as her could do...She began to break the laws of the universe.
She climbed up the side of a building, only to dive off it into a haystack like an assassin. She slowly lifted her head out of the hay pile, looking around with a pair binoculars, "There's approximately 4 guards on the east side of the building, the item is inside, I see Pinkameana Diane Pie baking, what looks to be chocolate cupcakes...Wow, they look goo- What's this? Rainbow Dash has entered the building."
"Doodle Bug, just get up and walk inside..." Hoop stared at her with half lidded eyes, that basically screamed, 'I'm not amused.'
Doodle Bug groaned, "I've been compromised! The horror, the horror!"
Hoop face-hoofed, "Doodle Bug...Just...Okay?"
Doodle Bug huffed, "Fine. Can't even have fun...Meanie." She ripped off the suit, and walked into Sugar Cube Corner, "Pinkie? Can we use your oven?"
"Sure Doodle Bug!" Pinkie grinned, "Want a cupcake?" Doodle squealed, "DO I!"
Hoop stopped her, "Doodle...Just get to making the cookies..."
"Buzzkill..." Doodle huffed, "Would you help me, Pinkie?"
"Of course Doodle! Did you know Dashie was looking for you? Something about nearly destroying the town with a storm and then nearly destroying it with a tree?"
"Uhhhhhhhhh......" Doodle shrugged, "Don't know what...They're talking...About...."
Pinkie shrugged, "Good enough for me."

"Again, sorry about the mess Pinkie..."
"It's fine Hoop! Me and Gummy will clean it up!"
"Are you sure? We could help?"
"It's perfectly fine Doodle Bug!"
"If you say so..." Hoop and Doodle sighed, Doodle carrying a tray of cookies on her back. They both started walking again. "So Pinkie talked Dash out of killing us, huh?"
Hoop looked at Doodle, who nodded, "Yuppers! Pinkie's so nice!" Doodle giggled, "So, we have the cookies, next is the party...You think we could go without burning the house down for a few days until Hearth's Warming Eve?"
"Most likely not..."
Doodle ignored Hoop and continued talking, " Oh! Maybe we can get Pinkie to help, and combine our awesome party ideas!"
"That actually...Sounds like a good idea..."
"I KNOW! TO THE HOUSE!"

Rainbow Dash and Twilight sat and watched as Doodle Bug and Hoop made their way into their house. "How much you wanna bet they're gonna ruin Hearth's Warming Eve for Ponyville, if not Equestria?"
"8 bits."
"Make is 15."
"12."
"13."
"12 and a half."
"Done." The lavender unicorn and blue Pegasus shook hooves, "If we can count on anything, it's those two destroying everything."
"Indeed."
Hearth's Warming Eve with Doodle Bug and Hoop
Happy Hearth's Warming Eve!
Hoop and Doodle Bug grinned, "We're actually going to make it. We're not going to destroy Hearth's Warming Eve!" Hoop cheered, sure, it was annoying staying inside all day long, for 4 days, just so they could not ruin the holidays, but hey, if the town was happy, he was happy.
"I know! We didn't catch anything on fire or break anything or, or..." Doodle squealed, "I HAVE TO GO TELL PINKIE!" She dove out the still broken window before Hoop could object.
"Oh no..."

"HOOOOOOP!" Doodle dove back through the window, with Pinkie and Gummy, "I MESSED UP, I MESSED UP BAD!"
"Oh dear Luna, what did you do Doodle?! WHAT DID YOU DO?!"
"IT WASN'T MY FAULT!"
"Actually..." Pinkie started, "It kind of was, I mean, you got really clumsy and stumbled out the door of Sugar Cube Corner, and you made a fruit stand from Sweet Apple Acres fall and scatter the apples and then the carts crashed and nearly killed Mayor Mare, and-"
"I KNOW PINKIE, I WAS THERE AND NOW EVERYPONY'S TRYING TO KILL MEEEE!" Doodle collapsed crying.
"Now everypony wants Doodle..." Pinkie looked at Hoop, "AJ is really mad, and so is just about everypony..."
"Oh, okay...Okay okay okay....We can fix this! WE CAN FIX THIS!"
"Give up Hoop...We can't fix it..."
"Yes we can Doodle Bug! WE CAN FIX THIS! WE CAN FIX IT, AND WE CAN THROW AN EPIC PARTY!"
"No we can't..."
"Yes we can! WE CAN DOODLE! WE CAN!" Hoop took off, diving out the window, and running off, shouting, 'WE CAN FIX IT!'

"But...We got out of it." Hoop smiled, helping Doodle Bug up, "And they want to apologize. Well...If you apologize they will too."
Doodle smiled, wiping tears away, "So...You almost burnt the town down...And they forgave you and me?"
"As a great mare once said, 'Yuppers!'" Doodle Bug smiled and hugged him, "You're so amazing Hoop!"
"I know. Oh, and we also owe them a tree..."
"A tree...We owe them a tree....WHERE ARE WE GONNA GET A- Oh wait." She looked at the feather tree they made. "A tree...We can give them a tree! We can give them our tree, and the cookies, and the decorations...WE CAN THROW A PARTY!"
Pinkie cheered, "I'll get my party cannon!"

Rainbow Dash squinted and watched as Doodle Bug and Hoop pulled a tree up the path, "Oh good- What kind of tree is that?"
"It's our tree...And...These are our cookies...We would like to throw a party, to say...Sorry, for everything we've done..."
Rainbow Dash narrowed her eyes, "I guess...You'll be careful, right? And not destroy the town?"
"We'll try our hardest!"
".....I'll take what I can get. Get started."

"We pulled it off..." Doodle grinned, "WE PULLED IT OFFFF!" A few ponies looked at her, and she blushed, "Sorry...." They shrugged and continued on, "We did it Hoopy!" She smiled at Hoop, "We pulled it off, we didn't ruin Hearth's Warming Eve!"
"And I helped!" Pinkie Pie bounced beside Doodle, Gummy dangling from her hair.
Doodle nodded, "Good job on the last minute sweets Pinkie!"
"Thank you!"
"No problem!" Doodle nodded, "Time to join the party?"
Hoop nodded "Yuppers!" Doodle squealed and ran off to the sweets table, grabbing a cookie before going to Hoop.
"I forgot something."
"What?"
"Your present silly..." She leaned in and kissed him on the cheek, "Spent all of my bits on new ornaments..."
Hoop blushed and swallowed, "Me too...Uh...Hug?"
Doodle laughed, "Sure Hoop. Hug!" She tackled Hoop and hugged him, Pinkie Pie joining in. Doodle grinned and trotted up to the tree, "Joy to the world! The Princesses have come, let Equestria receive, her Queens! Let every heart, prepare their room, and Saints and angels sing, and Saints and angels sing, and Saints and Saints and angels sing!"
Hoop and Pinkie followed her, "Joy to the world, the Saviors reign, let Saints their songs employ, while fields and floods rocks, hills and plains, repeat the sounding joy, repeat the sounding joy, repeat, repeat, the sounding joy!" Pretty soon, everypony was singing.
"Joy to the world with truth and grace, and makes the nations prove, the glories of their righteousness, and wonders of their love, and wonders of their love! No more will sin and sorrow grow, nor thorns infest the ground!" The whole town laughed and smiled. Doodle grinned, "Best Hearth's Warming Eve, ever..." She giggled and backed up, bumping into somepony, "Sorry-" She started before Derpy Hooves bumped into the table of treats...Knocking over a candle...That fell on the tree...The dry, tree made of Pegasus feathers...Doodle swallowed, "Hey Hoop."
"Yea..."
"Start running..."
"Yea." Hoop and Doodle started running from the crowd of angry ponies, for the second time this week.
"Merry Hearth's Warming Eve Doodle Bug!"
"Merry Hearth's Warming Eve Hoop! Angel Bunny's catching up, faster Hoop!"
"WHY DON'T WE JUST FLY?"
"GOOD IDEA!"
They spread their wings and took off with a few flaps, "ALMOST THERE!" Doodle grinned, "FIRST ONE THROUGH THE WINDOW WINS!"
"Wait, wha-?" Doodle Bug dove and crashed through the window, "Oh...Wrong window..." She laughed and scurried up as Hoop came through the opposite window.
"Barricade the windows and doors?" He asked.
"Yuppers!" Doodle Bug scurried and pushed the couch in front of the door, Hoop putting chairs in front of the windows, also his mattress.
"Hey Hoop?"
"Yea?"
"I can't wait until New Years!"
"You're crazy Doodle Bug! You're crazy and that's why you're my best friend!"
"WOOOOHOOOO!"

Twilight and Rainbow Dash looked at each other, "Guess neither of us win?" Twilight asked. "What? They ruined Hearth's Warm-"
"No they didn't Dash! Don't you see? They made it better! The whole town pitched in to rebuild, to fix the holiday! They saved the holidays!"
Dash smiled, "I guess so, huh? Looks like two awkward, clumsy ponies saved Hearth's Warming Eve!"
Twilight nodded, "Looks like it! You know Rainbow, if this were a Hearth's Warming Eve story...It would be a crazy one."
"Yea it would be Twi. It would be..."
Hearth's Warming Eve with Doodle Bug and Hoop
Oh Hearth's Warming Eve Tree...
Doodle Bug jumped onto Hoops' bed, her hooves pressing into the sheets and she squealed, "Hoooooop! It's almost Hearth's Warming Eveeeeee!" Hoop groaned and flailed, trying to knock the mare on top of him off
"Off-"
"Never! Get up and celebrate, we have to bake cookies and pick a tree, and throw a party that would put Pinkie to sha-"
"We can do all of that as soon as you get off of me."
Doodle groaned slightly, "Fiiiiine." She stepped off of the bed, landing beside is with a small clack of her hooves.
"Thanks, now what did you want to do?"
Doodle squealed again and jumped over the bed, knocking Hoop over. "Get a tree. Bake cookies. Throw a party that would put Pinkie to shame."
"Doodle. We both know the party thing will never happen...Everypony's still mad that you nearly killed them all last year."
"Well the tree needed a star on top and nopony was going to add it anytime soon!"
Hoop smiled and shook his head, "I'm glad you're my best friend. Now let's get started on that tree, yea?"
Doodle squeaked, a grin spreading over her challenging that of Pinkie Pies'. "Yuppers!" Doodle turned and ran out, leaving the smell of candy canes behind.
"What the heck kind of perfume is she using...Wait, why am I asking that? It's Hearth's Warming Eve...She's using a Hearth's Warming Eve perfume..."
"I'm not using a perfume, my scent changes with the season! On Nightmare Night I smell like chocolate!"
"....Nice to...Know...?"
"I know right? On Winter Wrap Up I smell like flowers, on the Summer Sun Celebration, I smell like morning dew, on Running of the Leaves I smell like none other than leaves, on Hearts and Hooves day, I smell like love, and on birthdays I smell like cake!" Doodle grinned and balanced on one of her hind hooves, reaching for the pancake mix. "A little help here before I-" Doodle Bug landed on the ground, "Ow..." She got up and rubbed her flank, "Stupid gravity..."
Hoop sighed, "Doodle, you're a Pegasus... Use your wings."
"Oh yea!" She giggled and spread out her wings, flying up and grabbing the pancake mix, "Thanks for reminding me!"
"I shouldn't have to remind you..."
"Oh shushie Hoop! I forget and you have to get over it! Silly!"
"You're too cheery...Normally you would have put me in a choke hold for saying that..."
"What can I say? I love Hearth's Warming Eve!" She giggled again and got out a bowl, followed by a few other things before she finally started mixing them together. "Oh, I'm gonna make pancakes, and they're gonna be awesome, because I'm awesome~"
"You can't sing..."
Doodle dropped the spoon, turning around and walking up to Hoop. She grabbed him and yanked him into a choke hold,
"Gaa! Do-odleee! St-o-p!"
"Tap out!"
"Can-n-t! Cho-kin-g!"
"Tap out or I'm not letting go!"
Hoop gave a choke and tapped her fore legs.
"Good boy." Doodle cackled and dropped him, trotting back over to the bowl and continuing to mix it, "So anyway, Fluttershy wanted to know if we wanted to go over there today, did you know she thinks we're dating? Everypony does, but that's silly, I mean, we're best friends...And you friend zoned me..."
Hoop was still gasping on the floor, rolling around, "They....What? That's...Crazy..." He panted and slowly stood up, falling back down and landing on his face.
"Apparently, not so. Everypony thinks so!" Doodle leaned over slightly, still stirring as she helped the poor guy up, "You're an idiot." She shook her head and pulled the surprisingly small stallion up.
Hoop wobbled slightly, "And you're a giant."
Doodle gasped lightly and put a hoof over her heart, "Well excuse me for having a father as big as ~~Celestias' plot~~ Canterlot Castle!" Doodle chuckled, and flicked her ear, "Do you hear that?"
Hoop raised an eyebrow, "Hear what?"
"Exactly! Get to cooking, Lover Boy!"
"....You're lucky I'm used to you being crazy...."
"Stop complaining and start cooking!"

"I can't believe you almost burnt down the house..." Hoop groaned and rubbed his eyes with his hooves, "Ow ow owwww!"
"Hoop! Careful! You have what used to be the garden on your hooves and you're rubbing into your eye and I know carrots are good for your eyes but I don't think they do much good when they're burnt!" Doodle whined, she was obviously upset, she didn't mean to set some stuff on fire, it just happened!
Hoop groaned, "Do you really need a tree? I'm scared to bring anything flammable into the house..."
"We'll get a unicorn to put a spell on it to make it non-flammable?"
Hoop sighed, "Yeah...It could work...Okay, fine. Let's go get one...No big bushy ones!"
"Hoop. We both know I'm going to get a big bushy one. And I will hug it and squeeze it and never let it go! Because it shall be mine!"
"You need to go to a Mental Hospital..."
"Most likely."

"You nearly destroyed Ponyville with a hurricane! Rainbow Dash is looking for you!"
"Well she won't find us here, now will they?"
"They might! You forget AJ runs this place!"
"Well AJ isn't going to let Rainbow get us, now will she?"
"She might, you did nearly destroy her farm last year..."
"Well those beavers weren't going to leave until I promised them something so I pomised them lots of trees and Sweet Apple Acres was the closest-"
"Yeah yeah, let's just get a tree and get out..."
Hoop sighed and walked with Doodle Bug around, "This one?"
"Nope."
"How about this one?"
"Are you blind?"
Hoop groaned, "How about you just let me pick one?"
"Mmmm....No." Doodle chuckled before gasping, "Oh Ceslestia that's perfect!" She squealed and pulled Hoop up to a tree.
"Look at this one! It's big, and bushy, and cute as can beee!"
Hoop raised his eyebrows, "Cute?"
"Yes Hoop! Cute! Cutey Cute Cutey Cute!" She bounced around the tree.
Hoop sighed, "I'll never understand you..."
Doodle Bug giggled, "Don't worry Hoopy! I won't either!" She giggled and then bounced off to find AJ.
"Err, Doodle? Maybe I should-"
"No."

"That was completely my fault..." Hoop chuckled nervously.
"Yeah...I may have had a bit to do with it..." Doodle sighed, "At least we got our tree though! And have to carry it back ourselves because we made AJ so mad..."
"Yea, we wouldn't have to be doing this if she lost a little weight...It's not my problem she looked pregnant..."
"Hoop...Never ask a mare when the baby's due...Just...Don't..."
"Well sorry! I could have managed my way out of that one, but then you had to knock down the trees..."
"It's not my fault they lined them up so if you knocked on over they all came crashing down!"
"Doodle...Maybe we shouldn't do Hearth's Warming Eve this year..."
Doodle Bug gasped and pushed the tree off of her back and Hoops', slapping Hoop, who just froze with a very confused look on his face. "No! Hoop, we are celebrating Hearth's Warming Eve, it's my favorite holiday, and we're celebrating it, with cookies and milk, and presents, and a tree, and we will make Ponyville love us again!"
Hoop raised an eyebrow, "How high are you right now Doodle?"
"I'm up there...Now let's go!"

".....I don't think Ponyville is going love us!" Doodle shouted as Hoop and her ran from the group of angry ponies, plus animals, and a little dragon.
"Really? I didn't seem to notice!" Hoop yelped as Angel Bunny caught up to them.
"FASTER!" Doodle Bug was crying like a filly as they dove through the window of their house, glass going everywhere, "BARRICADE THE DOORS AND WINDOWS!" Doodle shouted, pushing the couch against the door.
"I got the bedrooms!" Hoop ran off to the rooms.
Doodle yelped again as a hoof came crashing the the widow, "Uh, we're not home right now, please leave a message after the beep! BEEP!" The shouting from outside stopped, replaced with lots of, 'Oh's and 'Um's,
"Okay then." A voice came, from none other than Rainbow Dash, "Yea, um, Doodle Bug, when you and Hoop get back home, we really need to talk to you, anyway, bye!" Lots of hoof steps...And silence.
"H-Hoopy? I think they're gone..."
"Well be quiet just in case!"
Doodle nodded and slowly walked to the room, staring at Hoop, "We left our tree..."
"We can go get a new one! There's plenty of trees in the Everfree Forest!"
"Yea...Or..." A smile spread across her face. "We could make a tree..."
"How?"
"Feathers, Hoop. Feathers, sticks, and love."
"You really are high..."
"Yup. Now let's go!"

Doodle stepped back and smiled, she wiped the glue off of her muzzle and look at an also glue covered Hoop. "See? We did it!"
"It's a weird Hearth's Warming Eve tree...All white and gray feathers..."
"But it's still a tree. And it's a special tree! Time to decorate! And get a new window..."
"Don't no breaking anything..."
"We all know that's impossible."

"Not the worst tree..."
"Not the best either..."
"Still a tree!" Doodle grinned and trotted around, now to get started on the cookies!"
"Doodle...You set our oven on fire..."
"Oh yea...To Sugar Cube Corner!"
